I went to my first drag show and I absolutely loved it! It seemed like the main act may have canceled so they had some regular queens perform! It was still great! Everyone was nice and the environment was very open and welcoming. Only thing Id say is some of the drinks are a little weak. Wouldnt recommend the poprocks margarita
Absolutely incredible time here for Brunch! The food was decent. I had a burger which was tasty and very filling. We were at the first show on a Sunday and the service started out slow, but our server Ashley made up for it tenfold with attentiveness throughout the rest of our time there! We got the bottomless mimosas for $38 each. They came with a novelty Hamburger Mary’s High Heel Cup. The first one was very flat, but Ashley informed us she would open a new bottle for us and the next few were much better. They NEVER let our drinks get under half full before topping us off. Very worth the money! The performers were all great. We saw the drag king Landon Cider from Dragula and two other fabulous queens! They put on an amazing show and were very engaging with the audience.Ashley topped up our cups with mimosa after the show was done so we could sit on their patio and relax after while l they set up for the next show. Will definitely make this a regular pit stop when we return to Long Beach!!!
Ate here July 23.Ive never been a drag place before and what a fantastic introduction. The food was good. I got the Hawaiian Burger (my slight complaint was the bun was a little dry but everything else was fine) and a Mango Iced TeaWe had 5 Queens perform and they were all fantastic (Nomi B. Low, Anastasia, Electra Young, Saphyre *who was the hostess with the mostest*, and Kiki!)I wish I got our servers name but that guy was the only waiter on the floor and he was on top of it. He got everyones orders out on time and collected everything too. Wait staff should study him because he was that goodI hope to be back!
We went to the Sunday Brunch showing and it was such a fun time. This was for a friends birthday, and the hostess did a fun little bit by bringing all the birthday girls up front for everyone to wish them a Happy Birthday. We had 4 Queens putting in work and they all did a great job. Definitely packed in tight. The menu is plentiful and if you get the bottomless mimosas, they definitely make sure to keep your glass full (or in their case your boot). The inside is so fun decorated with shoes all over the walls, loud music, and a great show. The entrance fee was low but the food cost was high, so be prepared to easily spend $50+ on one person if youre planning on eating. The food being pretty expensive was good, I got one of their cheeseburgers which was $25+ for the burger and fries. They arent able to split checks, but they can charge up to 2 cards for one bill. If you forgot to get ones, they have someone walking around with change if you wanted to exchange a twenty or more for tips. Before or After the show you can relax on their patio space out front and get some cute photos with your friends. They did mention they bring in special guests, so keep an eye out for any of your favorite Queens from some popular drag shows as they might just be performing here. Overall it was a great experience and I definitely will come back for another show.
We had a blast going to the brunch show.Outstanding performances and great food. From the moment we arrived until we left, everyone we came in contact to, were kind, friendly and accommodating. Gustavo was our server and he kept the mimosas flowing. The brunchettes were AMAZING! We were laughing so hard - the energy in the room was electric. We will definitely recommend this place to everyone and can’t wait for our next visit 🎉🎉🎉
Amazing shows, with performers who are passionate about their art. The whole vibe is so friendly and happy, nice people, staff who seem to enjoy being there. Great place to come for dancing as well.
We have several disabled people in our group, and reserved a table, so didnt think it an issue to not wait in line in the sun. We were last to come in, and youd think our waiter would have helped the other tables and would have been ready for us, but no. He took some of our drink orders, ordered 2 large appetizers and he left. Took care of our b-day girl, but not the rest of us. After getting our drinks, he took our order, but the show started so it was hard to hear. Ordered our food, and he missed the girl in the middle completely. She had asked for water several times, so I went to the bar. When I saw him, I said you missed someone. Ill take the waters back and he came with me to get her order. Our food came out, but no appetizers. The two girls on the end still didnt have their food. Someone asked us if a breakfast plate was ours, but we said no one ordered that. After 3 times and practically the end of the show, one girl finally got her food. Our waiter said he took off the appetizers and a sandwich. When I got the bill I noticed the sandwich wasnt off. I went to him and said you didnt take off her food. He said, I took off the 2 appetizers you didnt get and a breakfast plate. I told him none of us ordered that and you should take off the food that didnt arrive till last minute. He said again he removed the appetizers and the plate that no one ordered and that was it. Went back to the table, split the bill between all of us and went up with the credit cards. Watched him read the receipts and match them with the C/C. Proceeded to hand out the receipt names and credit cards to my friends, and noticed my receipt wasnt mine. Told the waiter you hand me the wrong receipt someone has mine. I said, they can leave whatever tip they want and it comes out of my account. He didnt understand what I was trying to say, and didnt care that I had someone elses receipt. I started to ask other tables if they had my receipt and he printed me out another copy of mine. Everything here is A LA CART, INCLUDING THE BURGER TOPPINGS. READ THE MENU VERY CAREFULLY! DRINKS ARE $24 TO $50! DONT BE LAST IN. READ YOUR RECEIPT TO MAKE SURE ITS ACTUALLY YOURS. DONT GET LAWRENCE FOR A WAITER, HE DOESNT CARE ABOUT YOU. SHOW IS GREAT AND ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS!
We had a great brunch. Drinks were on point and the show was amazing. The food was fresh and flavorful and I was full when I finished eating. Also nice to have plant based options for the burgers. I will definitely be back again.
Went out to dinner to Hamburger Marys. In the past, it was great. Burgers were great, show was amazing. But this time around, what remained of the old Hamburger Marys was the show. I was looking forward to a great burger and what I actually got was to be forgotten by the cooking staff of my order, tell me that all orders went out and mine was not made. My wife was looking forward to their burgers and was given a burger to go (being kicked out after the show) that resembled a burger from McDonalds. To top it off, we were charged twice and we still left tip. Never again will I go back to dine their. Show was great top notch as always. But all else sucked.
I love, love, love this place. I always have a great time. The food is good. The service was good. The entertainment was outstanding. Our favorite host/ess is Jewels & shes always great. The star of the night was Detox and she is always awesome!!!!! Cant wait to go back...
The server was not great, he forgot items and overcharged. The drinks were watered down, BUT it was a blast. The performers are what you go for, and Ive never been let down. Diverse was an amazing show with a wide array of cast! It did start late, things were a bit hectic, but it was nothing that bad considering the place is packed with people all wanting to feel special on their night (lots of people were celebrating, including us for a bday) Party people tend to get a little crazy and the crowd did NOT disappoint LOLOL 😁😁😁 Would go back in a heartbeat 🖤🖤🖤
Why you should go: bottomless mimosas, brunch/dinner with a show, and supporting the local drag community!! Our party of 6 made reservations for brunch on a Saturday and we had a blast celebrating my friends birthday. Be sure to read through the website and youll have all your questions answered about the menu, showtimes, and making a reservation. We felt that the talent for our show had some performances that were great, some lacked a little bit of energy, and overall the song choices were a little out dated. We were there to make the most of it and played along, so it was really a fun time! *Pro tip: be sure to bring cash, and if you need one dollar bills they will come by and exchange them for you.As far as the food goes, it is expensive but remember - you are paying for a dinner and a show... an experience, not too mention keeping businesses like this running. The burgers are great but DO NOT order the breakfast burrito. Im serious, dont be tempted... it is not good.I personally would love to see the decor even more glammed up and cleaner, but it was cute. The waiting music was great and there were definitely some hit songs mixed into the performances and we wouldve loved even more of that. All and all, please go and have fun!! Hoping this place is around for a long time!
Had a great time post Long Beach Pride event on Sunday, went with several friends and even though the place was busy we were still able to receive timely service out of the kitchen and get some food, however the service from the bar was a different story. Drinks were slow to come and were ice partially melted down by the time they got to our table, also the wait staff seemed more concerned with hanging out and making sure that their friends were taken care of and gossiping about the hottest guy here and there than they actually were in making sure that the patrons were served promptly and correctly. When we asked our waiter for an approximate ETA on our initial drink order it was met with a dismissive attitude and snarky comments. On our second round our waiter was spending more time with the strippers / dancers than he was with any of us. Maybe he was “dickstracted”. But that still doesn’t excuse the attitude when we went out if our way to be understanding due to the busy times of the post event crowd.
Came here for the first time ever to celebrate my bestfriends graduation and we liked the atmosphere its very fun and playful but the service at the bar from the male bartender with glasses was the worst service we had received all night. The female bartender that served us first was friendly and answered our questions while the male bartender constantly rolled his eyes, slammed down our drinks on the bar table and scoffed at us. We were very happy and excited to be here because the music and vibes were positive at first but the service absolutely ruined it for us. We were nothing but polite and respectful, but needless to say he didn’t get a tip from us for the way he treated us. Our drinks that he made us were also ridiculously expensive and we received cups that were not even a quarter full for our drinks. Beware of the service here.
I did drink enough to forget about the ride home, however the show was very entertaining and had a great time
Very overpriced and a let down to lack of service. We decided to show up before they opened to ensure we would have great seats and prompt service. Showed up at 9am and let in at 9:30. When we sat down the service seemed to be prompt but then drinks were never served and food was never delivered. Mind you I am watching everyone else being served in the mean time. We requested to leave at this time at 11:00 because of no food or drinks. As we received the bill there is a cover charge for a show, one which we didnt even see. I felt it to be extremely tacky for a charge for food or drinks that were never received and also to pay for a show that was never seen. The place was gross and the tables were unstable. My husband and I have been in the food industry for a very long time. Myself 15 years and him as a bartender (professional t.g.i.f. flare champion bartender) for 25 years. I think at that point when we explained what was going on it shouldve been taken care of. This turned our server into a very upset person and mocked us to her manager, who was the the bartender. I do not know if they were understaffed or just ignorant to our party but the lack of customer service was unacceptable. My husband and I appreciate service and are more than willing to give 30% gratuity as long as you show up. This one got the 10% to cover her tax. Next time maybe treat all your tables as one big party and make sure they are compensated to prevent someone who may walk out on their tab. You are lucky that we have more respect even though we we were treated so horribly. First and last time I will ever attend this establishment. I hope who owns this place treats everyone with respect. Why else do we support lgbtq?????
Heard about this place because of Undercover Boss and we were visiting LB so we were excited to check it out…this location really needs updating, very old and dingy inside.. the DJ booth has some really weird piece sticking out and a server somehow bumped it and lost an entire tray of beverages.. there are some interesting charges, $5 reservations, $5 cover, $5.50 service charge (cash or card)on your receipt.. food and drinks are very hi priced! Food was good had the pot stickers, Mary burger and a few drinks and our bill was $150 before tip..show was fun.. online it says show to start at 8 didn’t start till 9…
I was really hoping to give them 5/5 but they lost a star for the food and prices. We ordered Mary macho nachos turf $16.25 and they were not good at all. Maybe it was the beans and it was missing salsa or that it was cold but for that prices it was not worth it. The chicken fingers were ok too, just meh.The service was great, our server was super sweet and we really liked her a lot. Made us feel very accepted in This queer friendly establishment. The ambiance of the facility is beautiful and very spacious with really nice lighting. The variety show was really good too, I enjoyed it.I would recommend coming to this place for a show and good drinks. I wouldn’t come here for the food sadly.
This is such a unique place in long Beach. Its so much fun and so light-hearted here. We had an awesome time this Saturday with the Halloween celebration and costume contest. They had 3 prizes for participants and since our group won, we got to enjoy a cash prize and gift certificate! After the show which last about an hour, you can dance with a club-like vibe. They play pop like dance music with a live DJ.
TERRIBLE experience... for a brunch...Food was OK... I ordered a burger, correct but too much sauce (really fat !)...Service was horrible... really long... I undertstand its crowdy, but it wasnt efficient at all. I had to go myself take my drinks at the bar. They even charge me 6$ for tap water.... hum...Concerning the drag show, Im used to this kind of show, but this one seems just to be about money and how much youre able to be generous with the tip..... also there is a stage but I dont understand why.... the show isnt there... so I dont even call it a show. Just music, and money to me, sorry !Really dissapointed :-(
Im giving this a 2 stars for two reasons..I went here earlier today for my nieces bachelorette gathering. The floors were dirty.. dried old gum on the floors. Even in the Reatrooms the floors were dirty..I pulled the Stool out to sit on it n it was sticky underneath it..Also the menus were dirty too..The prices were sky high for a burger..I ordered the Beyond Vegan burger n thousand island etc.. I wasnt even told that the toppings were extra price..A burger, toppings, sample appetizers n a small Midori Sour drink all for $50.00.. Just crazy!!!I wanted to buy my niece one of those cute Leg n stocking drinks, but damn $ 25 to $30 n its not even that big..The person who brought us our burgers couldnt even tell which one was a vegan burger because they all looked the same. I couldnt see because it was kinda dark..The drag queen show was the only thing good about this place..
I went for brunch on Sunday with bottomless mimosas. The show was amazing! Brunch wasnt the best it was ok. They do however make sure your glass is never empty. $35 for brunch with the mimosas. Its easier if you just Uber there, trying to find parking is a nightmare. There is a $3, cash only, charge to go in. If you dont have cash they have an ATM. They take a picture of your I.D and take a picture of you, you get a wristband and then you go in. Since the show was happening it seemed like a first come first serve. No one directed us we just found a table and 20 min later they asked if we wanted the bottomless mimosas brunch. The show is why I gave 5 stars, those queens did a phenomenal job with the lip syncing.
Waiters are over worker and sometimes forget to bring back your request. However, the shows are amazing and everyone is professional, kind and pleasant. You can tell everyone loves their job, just not enough waiters/ waitresses.
I had such a terrible time. On my birthday. We felt so unwelcome in this establishment. There was no one at the front so we had to find someone to seat us. We were seated in a weird corner with a pillar behind us.We werent given any menus so I had to go back to the front and get one myself. During the first 15 minutes, a man was standing right behind me, facing my back. Found out he worked there, but whether or not he was security, that made me really uncomfortable and unwelcome. Once our server David finally took our orders, they took forever to arrive. We had to beg our server for napkins, forks, and water. I got up from my seat several times to get things myself. I asked the server for a frozen margarita. The blender is broken. I asked for a bottle of champagne. Never got it. I ordered a chili burger (a Sloppy Mary). I got a dry burger with no chili. David brought the check prematurely after bringing the food, not asking us how we were doing or if we needed anything, and I asked him for the chili that was supposed to be on my burger. He said sure. After a few songs and no chili received, just a dry, cold burger on my plate, I flagged him down and asked again if I could have the chili on the side since its not on my burger and a bottle of champagne. He said absolutely! Never received either. We asked for dessert. We dont have dessert. It was a Saturday night and our birthdays, you had no dessert?! A few more songs passed, and I was starving. I cut the cold burger in half and ate half of that piece (so 1/4th of the burger). I had to flag the waiter again and ask him if the chili was still on the way. He said he would check with the kitchen, and then he came back with Tapatio sauce...BRUH! I said no, Ive been waiting for the chili bc we were charged for it. By this time, the food was cold, and I guess the kitchen was closed, so I asked to have the chili charge removed from the check. He tried to argue that I already ate the burger so he couldnt remove the charge for chili so I pointed out that I only ate 1/4 of the burger bc Id been waiting this whole time for him to bring the chili, then I deconstructed the dry burger in front of him and he removed it from the bill. And then I ate the cold, dry burger. I will always have love for drag queens, but the customer service here was terrible. Additionally, these drag queens only lip synced and collected tips. It was labeled as cabaret but thats not cabaret. Where was the dancing? Where are the tricks? At least break a sweat. Perhaps they wouldve been more enjoyable if I had better customer service. No chili, no frozen margarita, no bottle of champagne, and no dessert. On my birthday. And you cant contact a manager over the phone because no one answers their phone, just a robot. I left VERY upset and hungry, couldnt wait to leave to go get food even though I just came from a restaurant. Will never return.
Really fun place for a lively show of beautifully dressed ...and the food was delicious ..tried the Chicken Caesar ..was hug and tasty ..friends had deep friend everythg platter ..yummy..but the burgers were huge and spectacular w fries..watch out tho ..drinks can get $$$$ ..endless mimosas 39.00 per person...bring dollars to tip the dancers ..great fun experience!
You just have to have the experience of Hamburger Marys in Long Beach! The place was full at Saturday 1pm brunch. The food was surprisingly wonderful for a bar, everyone needs a bottomless mimosa in a long fishnet hosed leg in heels 👠 drink glass (see pics) and the queens are a lot of fun! Great music! Impossible not to have a great time!!
We are from Canada and were very excited to visit a hamburger Marys while we were visiting the states. We got spoiled and got to see Landon Cider - the pro about this location is that they have lots of famous drag performers. The con was our server was not really stoked to be there so we found ourselves with empty bottomless mimosas.
Food was really tasty but $26 for a burger and fries is outrageous. The prices are misleading when you see the beginning price on the menu is $4 for the cheapest meat patty, then every individual topping or option has an up charge. That is where the price skyrockets. GF cauliflower crust pizza had lots of flavor. The Bossy Bottom cocktail (their most popular drink) was awesome but beware if youre only a social drinker. It will knock you on YOUR bottom with its 6 different types of booze. 😆 Service was amazing! Our guy (I didnt get his name) was super attendant to our requests and even arranged to get us a great table from which to watch the drag show. The place was packed but he managed to get us elevated, Princess seating. The drag show was over the top! True entertainers and the local crowd made it even more fun and enjoyable. The DJ was hysterical and really got the crowd excited! Overall🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟!
The server didnt listen to our request and over charged us for everything! We ordered chicken strips, french fries, 1 bottom mimosa and 2 cocktails our bill Was $165.00 on top of the $80. We tipped through out the show. Their QR code scan for their menu has no prices for any menu item, which in my life experience do believe thats illegal 🤯 Good Bye forever Hamburger Marys. I used to be a fan, and every time I try to give this establishment another chance... You know the rest!
I had a Good time but $20. Margaritas and $17. Nachos were definitely Overpriced!
Atmosphere was great has a good time the Queens put on a good show I had a burger and that was taste and my gf had a breakfast sandwich. Although we waited along time to get drinks and food Im hoping that was just a one time thing but would come back and would recommend anyone to come by and check this place out
Without saying anything to negative. I will say this. This establishment is not the correct place for a date night. Our experience was very poor and the food definitely should be bigger for the prices they have
I wanted to love Hamburger Marys drag brunch but I really couldnt. Ive been to drag brunches in various cities across the country, they werent all the same, but what they did deliver was a performance. That was not the case at Hamburger Marys. If you want to pay a queen for changing her outfit and walking around in a circle, then this is the spot. Some of them gave a bit of a shake and lip sync, but there was one queen who walked around with a net and did absolutely no performing! When we didnt tip her ( we tipped all the other queens) she gave us such a dirty look! Sorry I dont want to pay you to literally do a lap!On top of the lackluster performance the food was expensive - not for what it was, which was meh - but for any brunch spot! The prices are ridiculous and the flavors were not there. For being a called *Hamburger* Marys Id expect a banging hamburger, but it was meh.The highlight was the bottomless mimosas, served in a leg cup wearing knee high fishnets, I was happy to have this souvenir. They were prompt with refills and I do feel like I did get my moneys worth here.Next time I have friends from out of town, I will not be taking them here.
Bad overpriced food and drinks. I didn’t realize a drag show is just the performers walking around while halfheartedly lip syncing collecting dollar bills.
First time seeing a drag queen show. I had a great time! Dont hesitate to go!
I started it off with a Cadillac Margarita 💓💓👍💓💓👍💓👍oh so delicious then I got a Marys handbag very good & delicious and inside that hand bag came with fried pickles 💓💓👍💓💓, macaroni & cheese balls💓💓👍💓💓👍💓👍, onion rings👍💓, French fries💓👍, chicken fingers💓💓👍💓💓 and hot wings 👍💓👍💓👍💓. Besides the food & drink being good it is expensive but The talent show had some very good performers. I enjoyed everyone of them . Kurency came in 2 place.
I recently had a highly disappointing visit to this establishment. The service was subpar, but what made it truly dreadful was the discovery that an employee had illicitly taken my card information, adding it to their digital wallet without my consent and charging 4k at Hyde Kitchen in Hollywood! My bank advised that my card had been added to someones digital wallet the same time exactly I was here. This breach of trust has left me deeply unsatisfied and concerned about the security measures in place. I strongly advise others to exercise caution and consider alternative options for their own safety. Not to mention one of the performers came to my table and kept taking dollar bills off thinking they deserved it. When I asked to stop, they kept taking them. I took a bunch of employees there for a company Christmas party and just had a horrible experience and will never return! Also, an employee accidentally left her purse there and it had $400 in it and we know it was left there and they stole it! I have reported this to the authorities as well!
Prepare for a lot of fun and laughter, awesome performances. 🤩🤣💃Requires reservation. Bring cash for entrance and tips. Someone can change your large bills inside. 💵 dont forget to tip the performers. Its absolutely worth it!Our server was awesome. 😁😁😁They have vegetarian options (Beyond burger)Prepare for loud music and flashing lights.Bathroom was stocked and clean. 😃🙌
I recently visited Hamburger Mary’s and unfortunately had an incredibly disappointing experience. The service was abysmal, with slow and inattentive staff who seemed uninterested in providing a positive dining and entertainment experience. To make matters worse, I left my purse at the table, only to discover later that it had been stolen. The lack of proper security measures in place raises serious concerns about the safety of patrons at this establishment.I strongly advise potential customers to think twice before choosing Hamburger Mary’s for a night out, as the combination of horrible service and inadequate security leaves much to be desired.
The entertainment is A+++. The drag queens put on a heck of a show. The service is great, the food is great, but the drinks are meh. The drinks are really tasty, but they are also really weak. I had somewhere around 8 drinks and I didnt even get a buzz. If the drinks were as strong as they should be it would be an easy 5 stars. There is plenty of parking in parking structures nearby.
Good times, this place is fun. Reservations can be made, for better seats, call and gotta pay 5 bucks more per person. Servers prefer cash tips so bring cash and bring them dollar bills. Its pricey so be prepared to drop dollars especially if you plan to drink. Performers are great, they need to work everyone in the room even if its one performer focusing on one area and so on. Fun times. Made birthday announcements. 2nd time going and will go again. For a girls night out, great place to start and very short walking distance to clubs, bars and lounges! Parking is right behind it in a multi level carport. Enjoy!
Sooooo much to say so little time. If....NO when you stop by make sure you get a hamburger. I got the black and blue boy and it was EVERYTHING!!! You have the option to do the brunch for $30 sum odd dollars...that includes the bottomless mimosas. If you want the bottomless mimosas its $21.99 after taxes. The show was VERY entertaining. A must see!
Food is ok, a little bit overpriced all around, but the entertainment never disappoints.
Unfortunately, the burger was dry like it was pre-cooked chili cheese fries or greasy is get all and the services is terrible, I told the waiter that my burger was dry and that it was cold and it shouldnt have been cuz I was the second person he said he would tell staff didnt offer to discount food at all and prices on menu dont match website by $3 to $5 dollars which I can understand, but the menu online seemed up to date. Also, it was comedy night and show was great for some performances others should just have stayed home, only 1 drag queen and unfortunately stink like Bad body order, if youre going to impersonate a woman you should at least take a shower. Overall the evening was kind of a waste of my time. Only 4 performances did I enjoy very much the others should have just stayed home. Also, they had a raffle to win some art and the girl who was holding the raffle for a dollar a ticket refused to accept cash. I didnt want to process a cash app or Zelle transfer for $1 and then only there for 4 hours had to pay $10 for parking thanks City of Long Beach
Went for the show and brunch, there was no show just drags coming to the table asking for tips not much interaction. But we had some what do to bday in our party,, outfit changes were cute...Food was delicious. ((Forgot to take pics)) but got salmon salad Wish we would have gotten a heads up about them not performing due to being stopped due to covid. Seating was ok very hot , did ask for extra shade helped some what.
What an incredible experience we had here! We laughed so heartily that tears of joy streamed down our faces. This is a fantastic idea for a delightful birthday celebration or any other special occasion. Dont forget to bring some cash 💲 to tip the exceptional entertainers!
Was great food was great entertainment was amazing and are server was on point we will be going back 😘
Wasnt servers fault but there was a definite lack of staff there. So service was not great.
Bro, the security Jenn is ALWAYS posting near me anytime I come to the show. I have never given her a reason to CLEARLY harass me. Dale, please retrain your security guards on WHO to watch over and who not to. Clearly wants to be obsessive over an innocent bystander rather than securing the place, lol.Girl, get a life.
Update, last weekend on 08/19/23, my date and i went there and the security guard Chris was awesome and great personality.I hate it when theyre advertising the show time starting at 10pm but they dont actually start almost 40 minutes late.
This was my favorite hang out spot. I loved the electric lemonade. One of my first nights in town circa 2018 I saw Latreese Royale. Astonishing performances every time and a wonderful place to mingle.
Menu has no prices. If you ask the price the waitress will tell you to check online, but the price they charge you is 33% higher. When you bring it to their attention they just say, sorry, the website hasnt been updated in a long time, despite the fact that the calendar events are up to date. They wont offer to fix the bill--you will have to insist. On top of that, the food is rather mediocre. Its not bad, but its also not particularly good, especially not for a minimum $18 (the cheapest burger option). The fries are just awful, hard and chewy and flavorless. The only reason to go here is if youre interested in seeing a drag show. The service is average. The food is meh, and their unethical pricing scheme is criminal.
Their Saturday morning brunch is a lot of fun!Came here for my mums birthday celebration per her request, and she was giddy about it, and had a WONDERFUL time! She could not have been happier .The food was good and flavorful, drinks delicious and strong, Queens engaging and wonderful, and generally the service was excellent. My only criticism is that we had to pay $7 cash cover charge just to enter for our own reservation. Seriously? 4 of us dropped $400 at this place (altogether) and we still need to pay a cover charge? Maybe drop the cover charge for brunch...
Love the ambiance, we came in on a Saturday for brunch. Service and food is good. Only thing was the performers would come out and walk around. We were expecting more of a show, some dance choreography maybe. There was a couple performers that did and it was amazing, but that was about the most excitement we had. It was more of a comedy show;which was still great the performers were funny.
This is a place that if you go, youre going for the show. If you think that youre going for a decent meal, youll be extremely disappointed. Two hamburgers cost approximately $45.00. Beers are $9.00+. If they were decent burgers that could almost be forgiven. The buns were stale. Youd think that a fully complemented burger would be a delight. It wasnt. There was no flavor or seasoning to the burger and it was nearly raw, not medium well, as requested. The beers from the tap were flat. I told the waiter. He said hed take care of it. 15 minutes later we flagged down a different waiter. Finally our waiter returned to tell us that they were out of co2. He offered us bottled beer. He said that hed remove the draft beers from our tab. It was nearly another 10 minutes before we got our beers. We wanted a second beer for the show. Again we had an extremely long wait. The waiter finally delivered our tab, and we had an extra $24.00 in beer charges. We couldnt get his attention to try and get the tab fixed. It really shaded the whole experience. If you can find a similar show elsewhere, I would recommend that you go there. Hamburger Marys is a misnomer.
Had to check out the legendary HMs while visiting Long Beach and honestly wish I wouldve read some reviews first so I knew what to expect. The waitstaff was friendly and Drag brunch was a fun time. (Loved the Queens) but the food and drinks are SO massively overpriced for the experience. I was unimpressed by the burgers and the overall atmosphere of the whole place is like sticky and dingy dive bar vibes which to be fair you can hardly notice once the lights are down and music is playing. When it came to splitting up our bill the server ended up charging just one of us for all of the tax on the bill which was weird to say the least. We had a good time but if wed have gone in knowing what to expect itd have probably been a drinks only kind of brunch and gone out for food elsewhere. Definitely was a one and done experience for us but go off Mary.
Great show ladies and gents! Loved it!
I was here today to celebrate my daughters 21st birthday though we kept that under wraps. Jewel was AWESOME, all of the entertainers were so good. Jasmin Masters was there and was phenomenal. She was so kind and stopped to talk with us. Smells AMAZING. Food was ok, my friends burger was cold, like cold cold, like came out of the fridge cold. But the rest of the food was pretty good. I love this place , the staff was great and the queens were worth it.
This was so fun!! I did the drag brunch on Sunday. I had a great time! It’s a little pricy but I think it was better than the reviews say. I got the appetizer platter and the fried pickles are AMAZING! Mimosas are strong and keep on coming so drink fast!
We arrived around noon on a Sunday. We didnt want the crunch buffet, just the menu. The menu was very limited with basically deep fried everything. There was a limited drinks menu as well. They didnt even have frozen margaritas as an option, only on the rocks. I wasnt impressed. It had been years since I was last there, not sure if I will return.
Great show amazing staff and yummy food ! Expect to have a fun time and be sure to try out their different drinks !
The show was a little lackluster. There wasnt much of a performance. The queens just walked around the crowd lip syncing and expecting to be handed dollar bills. The food was expensive but mediocre, the bottomless Mimosas were dangerously good and bottomless. The service was phenomenal!
When you go to Hamburger Marys are you really focusing on the food? No, and its not really worth taking that attention away from the show. Although they have some creative burger combinations, the burgers can get expensive and tend to be a bit dry. Because the performance is so wild and fun, the food is an afterthought and it just sits there going cold while you tip the queens. My advice is spend your money on a crazy cocktail or some shots, get some appetizers, and whatever you have left turn into $1s for the performers. Dolly Levi was my absolute favorite, her Wednesday Adams dance was on point! Staff was kind, quick, and checked in frequently, make sure to tip them too!
The food is delicious. I would eat there again in the heartbeat, the only downside is that its very pricey. Pricey. This is understandable and you know going in since its located downtown on a main Street. I ate on the patio so had a constant stream of interesting characters going by and you kind of feel like watching your back at all times but its enjoyable. Again. The food was very very good.
We got two platters of appetizers, very delicious. The show however wasnt that great, their lip singing was very lazy and only one out of the 4 performers moved to the music. The other 3 were more concern on getting tipped. I think i should try the last show at night, this brunch time one was not that great.
Be careful about splitting bills on large table seatings... check with waiter before seating!
What a great atmosphere!I hadnt visited in years. I was still exploring, Decided to plan, and had a blast this past Saturday night. Having already ate, I was there to drink and have fun.It was electric! As soon as I walked in, the crowd lit, DJ playing jams, and just about everybody was dancing! I didnt want to leave! We will return this coming Friday! Hope you see you there!
Staff needs to clean their bathrooms. Almost slipped on vomit on the bathroom floor. Those bottomless Mimosas catch up on people. The Drag Queens were awesome. They deserve a cleaner venue.
Security stalks my friend every time we come. Weve never had any trouble here but were treating like were not wanted there. Just wanted to support the Diverse show which is my favorite show at Marys. But it was very clear we were being watched and it killed the vibe. Burger dry af and cold, 40min wait for drinks, is it even worth it?
It took a minute to get things started, Great entertainers, Amazing makeup.,!!! Took the server forever to acknowledge us he actually had to be direct to assist me... Total attitude on his face. Food was just food, DRINK NOT AN OUNCE OF ALCOHOL. willing to return for the entrainment will eat prior to going completely over priced.
I HAVE NOT VISIT THIS PLACE FOR 2 YEARS NEITHER ME NOR ALL MY FRIENDS I KNOW THE BIGDEELISH S SHOW IS A VERY BAD DRAG MEDIOCRE SHOW, LACK OF CREATIVITY IS THE SAME ALL THE TIME I WILL NEVER COME BACK THE MOST HORRIBLE DAYS OF THE SHOW ARE THURSDAY FRIDAY AND MORE WITH THE MEDIOCRE PERFORMANCE OF BIGDEELISH A DISASTER ON THE STAGE
Been a couple years, but I still remember what awesome fun I had attending an EXCELLENT drag show at this location with friends. Great views, good lineup, outstanding performances. Would definitely go again!
Well Id say dont come for the food... the food is very much subpar. You can pay over 20$ for a conveyer belt burger (which was served room temp) and was just frozen fries. Its clear you come for the show, but my biggest recommendation is to eat before you come. The place is very much corporate and in it for $$. Cover charge and overpriced meh food. That being said, the show is fun. The energy is great with the performers, but again, if you think youll be getting food that is worth the price, youll be disappointed.
Great entertainers, delicious food and the atmosphere is bling, colorful and stylish. I have visited a few times and each time I bring different friends.Bring $40 in cash and bless the staff and performers. Buy the food and chug the drinks. It’s a wonderful time here.
Super fun! Went for a friends birthday! The only thing thwy couldnt do for us was split the check which I get. Bring $dollars and bigger to tip the dancers. I was happy, entertained and danced my butt off!!
Used to go here for T-Gurl Nights a while back. Hadnt been in a while, but food was great, service was good. The strait-laced guy that took me was a little nervous when we walked in but he came around lol. Ill definitely be back.
Friendly staff, food was good and the show was fun!The drinks are super expensive!they also had a 5% service charge on the ticket. Two people getting 3 beers, two margaritas, appitizer, and sharing a burger $136.00You have to put your credit card into Yelp to make a reservation.
The food is just ok, but lets get honest... we went for the show and drinks! It was not crazy busy on the night we went, but you could feel everyones energy and we had fun! The dancers, with the exception of one were all energetic and full of entertainment. The MC was honest and real... had us all laughing and enjoying the show! Im a little intimidated that the dancers are more feminine than I am! Haha! It doesnt matter, they put on a great show... parking is a pain, theres minimal street parking so you have to park in the structure about a block away.
Great place to celebrate birthdays or just to have a good time. Show is amazing . The performances are great!!! Definitely been here more than once and will continue going. Been here for brunch and night. Never disappointed!!
Only came for drinks, which were good but incredibly expensive by comparison to most other gay establishments Ive been to. All in all we had a good time. Good music. Fun drag queens to chat with. Most likely will return next time we are in LB.
We went for a friends birthday & were lucky enough to catch the Halloween show. Great show! So much energy! Amazing costumes & the personalities of each performer just shined thru. Take your 💵 to tip and show your appreciation! Looking forward to next time!
It was so much fun! The performers are great! Everybody is really nice and the service is also on point. They are constantly checking if you need anything else.
Drink was messed up every time (martini... How hard is it???). Burgers were fine, nothing to write home about. Onion rings were trash.BUT, great experience - youre not there for the food, people! Loved every second of it!
I love a good drag show, and these girls were amusing and put on a show. However, there isn’t much of a show. The girls lipsink a song, walk around collecting their tips and then leave. The MC then talks to fill in the gap, “get your drinks, don’t forget to tip” etc. etc. but that kills the flow. Please, have one of the girls on stage presenting and keep the show rolling. The bar serves a wide variety of drinks and cocktails, but I’m sorry ladies, I wasn’t overly impressed. $7 cash only cover to enter.
This place is great! Went for the drag show. Absolutely loved it. Those queens are fun! Even my straight laced husband had a blast. Very night club atmosphere, lighting, music, etc. Only $5 to get in!!!! Then the rest was just what we spent on food and drinks. I will say that the drinks are pretty spendy, but the food was fire.
Slow service with OVER PRICED mediocre food. The talent walked around collecting tips barely actually making a show of it. One queen actually made the show good. No actual vegan options since they only offer Brioche buttery bun
The food was good. You go for the experience.Loved they brought out all the checks at the same time. It was cute.Very glam lol. All of the performers were good two were great! The tipping culture is different, literally touring and working for dollar bills, Im used to enjoying a wonderful viewing performance and tipping afterwards.
This place is incredible! First off, I have been wanting to come here for a while, but with working a lot and COVID happening I just never made the time. Last night on 05/7/22 I came here with a girl friend of mine and we had a blast. It was an impromptu idea we had and we wanted to celebrate a promotion I got at work, and man we had fun!!Now, I do NOT recommend coming to this place to get absolutely s**t faced, as that is NOT the point of this review, but unfortunately that IS what happened to me last night. I already had a couple of drinks before coming to Hamburger Marys, so the bartenders did nothing wrong as in over serving or anything, thats a very poor judgment call on ME!I was waiting by the bathroom for my girl friend to come out so we could get a ride home and leave. It was about 12:30 AM and we had done our fair share of dancing and laughing. Unfortunately while I was waiting for her and finishing my drink, my body decided it was time to call it a night right then and there before she could even come back out. Knees were buckling, stomach turning, couldnt see straight and was truly incoherent, you know the deal when you have had one too many. I really cant remember the exact details how I made it home, but from what I hear from my girl friend, the staff were the main reason why. An embarrassing thing to willingly share on the internet for everyone to see, but if theres any chance the staff will see this review I want to make sure they remember that yes, this review is from THAT girl. 😭To the great staff that took care of me last night, and made sure we had our rides home, and not just throwing our drunk as*es out on the street which would have been 100% understandable, thank you. While I will not be returning any time soon to this location out of sheer embarrassment, I will always recommend this place for a great time, good music, and wonderful service. Last night could have turned out completely different for me, but I was very lucky the staff here are caring, wonderful, beautiful human beings. Thank you thank you thank you from the bottom of my heart ❤️
We attended the Saturday brunch. The place was real cool, very welcoming. The Burger I had was amazing!! It was juicy and tasty, one of the better burgers Ive had. I had the Marys style burger. The bottomless Mimosas keep coming! The service is great theyre on it. The show was fun and entertaining. Make sure you bring your dollars and sense of humor, youre in for a good time. Went with my nephew and GF, they both loved it and were ready to go back for the dinner show.
Lot’s of fun with friends and the entertainment great wardrobe and music!
Its what you expect with expensive eats, great greets and sitting out in the heats
We came here for the drag show brunch. The drag show itself was more collecting tips than actual performance for most of the act. Food and drink was super expensive. $35 for a burger and a side. $3 bottle of water and watered down coctails are at least $20.. I wanted to like this place but unfortunately i prolly wont be back
My first time in this place and it was awsome I really enjoyed myself, the staff was great an the show was awesome great team work 👏🏿 🙌🏾 an the food an drinks was excellent.
The staff was absolutely amazing. Our waitress Olive was the BEST. This was my first time, and the show was entertaining and inspiring. To all that performed tonight...Thank You. And a shout out to the young man with the magic bag on $1 for all of us. You deserve more tips. Your Thank you meant the world to me.
I loved my experience here, everyone was amazing and beautiful. Would 100% come back.
What a ripoff. 18.50 for ONE waffle. Imma breakfast guy… I like a full, hearty breakfast. Yeah- you pay for the show…. Isn’t that the $7 to get into the place. The drinks too aren’t all that great either - they lack a lot to be desired. Don’t try to get out of here without spending $50 per person, not including the door fee.
I have always wanted to see a drag performance and let me tell you, it was amazing! The performers were so sweet and let us take pics with them after the show. They were professional and truly it was a one of a kind show! The dancing, the songs (the DJ was awesome and I like his little set up) and really just the over all show was so awesome. It was a pretty packed crowd due to it being mothers day. Even so, the staff were professional and friendly. The food was to die for. I had the Barbara BBQ hamburger and it was cooked perfectly despite the pressure the kitchen staff must have been in with so many people. All in all, if you want great food, amazing staff (and I mean just spectacular) and the best performance you will ever experience, Queen Marys is the #1 place to be. For it being my first time ever to a drag performance, hands down so glad it was here. Thank you so much everyone!!!
Great little bar with live music and good food
ABSOLUTELY LOVED ITI went for brunch with my partner and my one year old. From the guard, to the waiter and the queens, they were always very concerned for my daughter and I appreciated that a lot. We had coffee (they have amazingly good coffee), my partner had a hamburger that he loved and I had the breakfast sandwich that I dare to say that it was the best that I had, at least in a while. The show was really good! It might be a bit expensive, but I think its worth it because is a whole experience. Well definitely do it again.
I had an AMAZING TIME with friends... It was my first time! The food and drinks are incredibly expensive in my opinion. You also run the risk of getting your food towards the end of the show, so be careful, because when its over its over. I had to drink up when my second drink came. Luckily I wasnt the designated driver or we wouldve had to write it out for a bit it call a car.Wings were $16Mozzarella sticks were$15Cocktail was like $13 or $14.... Times 2. So prices are definitely treat yourself prices. Its a show though. So keeping that in mind.....$5 cover at the door plus dollar bills to tip the Queens.I had a great time and love drag so this was great. Very entertaining and singing among is a ton of fun.Just.... Maybe come full, not hungry...and drink while youre there lol. My food was mediocre.
In my experience, there’s been a lot less effort being put into the shows. You would think being in California they would be a little more creativity amongst those performing. On the other hand, the burgers were delicious. Made to order, with plenty of sauce. Would highly recommend there a burger weather in house or to go.
Yummy food. My friend and I shared the sampler platter, an awesome deal. The drag performers were so kind; one even got me out of my seat and asked me to vogue for the audience during their performance!!!! I was so touched and honored. My only complaint was the wait time for the check; it somehow took us longer to receive it (35 minutes) than to order and receive our food. They were pretty busy and its during the pandemic.
We went to Sunday drag brunch. $5 cover per person plus the cost of food and drinks. If youve in a partying mood, youll have a good time. The performers are fun, the drinks are tasty, the servers are friendly if a bit slow at times but, as others have said, the food is mediocre. Bring cash for the performers -- luckily, even if you dont have small bills, theres someone available to make change. This is a fun place for getting together with friends: birthdays, bachelor/bachelorette parties, and events.
Really fun brunch experience. Jessica our waitress was great! The performers were also great, especially Roxy and Jewels! Food was just ok. Wish the bottomless mimosas weren’t quite so expensive - most places nearby are not near those prices - and the owners should just raise their prices rather than add 5% up charge. Adding the brunch menu because I couldn’t find it anywhere online.
This place is amazing. The shows were great, original, and energetic. The performance of Popular is something I will remember for years to come. The staff was attentive and friendly. One of our party over drank and needed to step out. The security staff made sure no one bothered them and provided us bottled water to help them hydrate as we waited for the car to come around.
First timer and definitely coming back! Went for Saturday Brunch and watched a fabulous show! $4 special for some shots, was a little bummed no Leg Souvenir cup(was back ordered, no big deal)but was replaced w/ flamingo cup. Drinks delicious (purple margarita and iced coffee), food was delicious as well(Marys handbag sampler and triple scramble). Overall great experience and Jasmine Master from Rupauls Drag Race performed!!! Just awesome!!!!
I had a very bad experience. The Bartender by the front door stole from me,He thought I was drunk and he told me that my credit card was declined, (but he charged me, so I paid twice for my bill.)Then, I payed with a $100 dollar bill and he gave me a lots of one dollars bills as a change and when I counted it, I was short with 8 dollars.I didnt say anything and I tip him , then I when to ordered another drink and he did it again. So, I dont understand how they can have this kind of bartenders working there and stealing from customers that go there to have a good time.
I usually never write a bad review!! We were down in Long Beach bar hoping and enjoying the day. I remember that I saw this restaurant on Under Cover Boss and I loved the owners story. I was so excited! ! The service was horrible. There was 3 tables and it wasnt busy. It took the bartenders 15 minutes to which there was 2 of them to even take our order. We only order one round of drinks. We were going to order a dessert the the server acted like we were in his way and he was to busy! So said!! The bar stools were hard metal and uncomfortable with nothing to support your back or comfort! We definitely did not get a warm fuzzy welcome enjoy yourself feeling at all we got the feeling of we really dont want you here! We dont usually get to spend days like that and I was super excited but then super disappointed.
The queens really put on a good show. Penny Dreadful and Delta Work are stars.
Came here with a party of 23 with 2 tables VIP front row. Only 1 table got their food and drinks. The second table got nothing. We asked the waitress after 45 minutes if waiting and show starting. Ordered.. at this point 1st table already finished their food. We still havent been served.... we will NEVER be coming back.
Had a great time at drag brunch! Great energy and outfits from the performers. Mostly lip syncing to some classic drag songs but all the queens did a great job. The food was fine, and they had a large selection of fun drinks. Wouldve preferred if they didnt put cayenne pepper on everything... Making food spicy is not the same as making it flavorful. Really didnt appreciate the 5% service charge though - it just makes it seem like the owners are cheap and complaining about having to pay their staff a decent wage. Instead of adding a service charge due to the minimum wage, just raise your prices, its not a big deal.
I love this place! Great for gay or straight fun. My sister loved the go-go dancing boys they were very cute. Havent eaten there during the daybut drinks are fair prices at night. I will absolutely come back here. Great place Id you want to dance to fire beats.
My friends and I got a table for the drag show. The show was awesome, but the appetizers were just ok. My friend order a burger. It looked good. It was big. I got my drinks at the bar. The bartender could have been a little faster & friendlier.
The show was good! It was fun and full of energy. We had good seats. It was very crowded and the table behind us was right behind us so it was hard to get in and out. And the service was not great. But the show was really fun.
It was my first time here, and definitely my last. Show was poorly put together; the food is not the best either. The food server was OK; what was not OK was what he did. We tipped him 22% cash, and he decided to add an extra $5 tip to the bill. I was being nice by giving him cash instead of putting it on my credit card. How dishonest of him to do that.
It was really fun but they nickel and dime the hell out of you. I had the VIP seating, they charged me $10 to hold the reservation. Thats fine but what happened to the money after that?? It certainly didnt go towards my bill. Then you have to pay to even get into the place. The brunch show was great but maybe no VIP seating next time..
I love this place! I came here for the first time about 2 months ago and have come here multiple times since. Love love love! Always a good time.
I passed by in front of the restaurant, night club and like always nice people friendly and lots of pretty girls. The guys are respectful and nice. The food looks delicious and the desserts are to die for. They have an outside display and its real. Quite appetizing. The staff like always friendly with a smile. A female host spoke to me quite charming and quite. Very nice 😋 Over all I give the facility 4 stars out of 5. Good job people. Much love and keep the dream alive. Dont spread rumors about me please, even though there real.😎
Good: Show was very entertaining. Food was great. Meh: Server was absent for a while (probably just too busy). Bad: Drinks were yummy but weak (first seemed to lack alcohol at all, next two seemed weak). No toilet paper in bathroom most of the visit. Overall: Good time but should have been better service for the cost.
This place is always so much fun! The bartenders are always nice and the drinks are strong. The drag shows are so much fun. On the weekends there is normally a cover charge and it is cash only, but inside they accept card. The music selection is always very diverse, from latin to hip hop.
Amazing experience. My first time at a drag show and they showed out! The food was very tasty and such fast service. Our waiter Nate was very friendly and accurate. Loved all the preformers.
Had a blast, and the drag show was great. All though the dance floor was a bit on the small side. Also we had a couple problems with security that were related to there lack of observation coupled with the way they chose to in force there poloceis. But overall had a good time .
Loved the drag show but unlimited mimosa did indeed have a limit, no waiter came though to refill the last 1/3 of the show, which seemed disingenuous
Had so much fun at the drag king show! Food was decent. Drink was meh. A little overpriced for my penny-pincher taste, but the entertainment makes up for it. Staff was super friendly! 5 stars for them!
Been here a few times . Love the shows and great place to dance after. The food is ok nothing great . A bit pricey should be more like 5 bucks less then in the menu. Drinks wow great but way overpriced 12 to 20 bucks per order . Ouch Ill stick to soda and water. It gets really hot the ac never keeps up. I usually leave by 1am .still fun just wish it was a bit cheaper. Whatever
The show we saw was very entertaining and hilarious. I think we saw Jackie B and she made the whole night worth the price of admission and more! The food was really good and the place is clean. I have recommended Hamburger Marys to all my friends for a fun night out. Its for adults only.
The venue could use a deep cleaning. They were short staffed which I understand must industries are suffering a work shortage, but reduce your capacity you can serve. The restroom needed major attention this place has the potential to be nice, but not right now.
This is a fun place to go to catch a show that you wont normally see anywhere else.A fun ADULT atmosphere (not recommended to bring children), the performers and audience really get into the show.Food and drinks are ok but its really the show and atmosphere you go for.
Oh my gosh. If you love good food and fantastic entertainment you have so got to go to Hamburger Marys. The eats menu keeps it simple: your burger can be beef, chicken, fish; they have GF buns (and Im not just talking bout the burgers, honey); and fantastic sides. Try one of their specialty drinks. You want to just eat there? They have a great outdoor setting out front? You want to see the drag queen show you better get your reservations in a least a week early. The staff are so friendly theyll gladly call you honey day-in and day-out, if you know what I mean.
Stopped in here on a Saturday night, who knew that was a drag show? Well I guess everyone that would have looked online to see their calendar. Anyway, the show was great, staff very attentive, and the food and drinks reasonably priced and well presented. Will definitely hit this place back up next time in Long Beach.
The service was excellent, people there are really friendly. The Entertainment was top notch. I havent had that much fun in a long time. Definitely going back soon.
We were craving a bit of fun for lunch, what better than Marys!?It is Corona time, so we had reservations for the limited sidewalk seating area. The inside seating is still off limits in California. The waiter was definitely fun and the other staff were great to deal with, fantastic senses of humor that compliment the establishment wonderfully 😄There were 2 stars, shall we say... that were dressed up nicely for the occasion. It was, after all, the signature drag lunch!Im sorry to say they must have worked a double the night before, because they couldnt even lip synch anything the audience asked for. Sadly they did the Tina routine that has been overdone since the 80s, moving to their own beat, not even close to the music! Now, I know Im being mean, but after a feeble attempt at 1 tina song, A big bucket on a 6 foot stick was shoved into every guests face for tips, regardless if you were currently trying to remove a fork from your mouth (it was lunch). The wait staff were great, the queens were just, well... nasty!I have been to these shows before, where they were so good you had money out ready to tip, these girls were just wearing makeup expecting to be tipped.I gave 3 Stars because I truly felt sorry for the wait staff, who were obviously embarrassed by the performers raking in dollars when that money should have all been given to the waiters.
Great fun with a group of people. We celebrated 2 birthdays. The brunch is surprisingly good. Everything you can think of and made to order omelets. Bottomless mimosas. Entertainment is so fun but be warned, it is Adult entertainment, not for children or those easily offended. I simply love coming here!!!!
BRING CASH!! MAKE A RESERVATION!!This place is so much fun!! I was uncomfortable at first cause its been a long while since Ive been out, much less without my husband so I found it hard to relax. I ordered 1 bloody Mary, 1!! Less than an inch into the drink and I was calm and having fun! The booze is pricey but its STRONG and good!!! Sampler plate was good but omg careful w the HOT wings! The laughs memories and waving money from your hand for some exotic Queen to take from you in a playful manner!?!? Now that is a GREAT time!!
Arrived a couple hours before the evening show to have dinner. When we arrived, they let us know that when the show starts wed have to leave or pay the cover. We only planned on having dinner for an hour, so that was perfectly okay. The food was good and service was nice. This place gets 3 stars from me, because although I liked the food, the burger is not worth $20, but after paying for parking it isnt worth leaving to go somewhere else.
Server still charged us for a drink that we didnt order and when we brought it up he refused to remove it. He wouldve received a $25 tip from us.. but we had to pay for a drink we didnt have. The performers were fantastic and the only reason there are 4 stars!
Went for new years and Halloween. I had a great time. I have not been to their new place put the old one had small restrooms. Im 5 foot 10 and 155 lbs. Im not a big girl and yet could not get out. Bartenders took a long time attending people. On Halloween some one grabbed my butt. I never found out who and they were lucky. They played great music so kept dancing all night. Its a mixture of alot of different people so I liked it.
My first drag brunch was wild! What a great time! We showed up with a huge group and everything was so smooth thanks to our server Liz! She was so accommodating and single handily made everything a breeze. She set the standard for service.
We come here often for the Friday drag shows and occasional brunches. Always a blast. Only issue is how much they seen to nickle and dime you for brunch. $3 cover per person to enter despite being there for brunch with a reservation. What? Why? If you really need that $3, bundle it into the brunch fee. Not to mention $5/ person for preferred seating for larger groups. Love supporting Marys, but just make it a bit easier to do so.Friendly staff, phenomenal performers, and I cant forget the always hilarious and entertaining, Jewels. Always a great time! Five stars instead of four because of Jewels and Trinna.
WARNING: FOOD POISONING! DON’T EAT HERE IF YOU DON’T WANT A TO TRIP TO THE HOSPITAL. **UPDATE: I received SHIGELLA** according to my ER doctor. I ate here on September 25th 2022 for the 10am brunch show. As a queer person myself and a big fan of drag, of course I had to book a reservation here for me and my friends. I didn’t care about any additional fees or how expensive the food was, I was just happy to be there and in a queer space. This review is not in regards to the show or the service, which honestly both were just okay. Plenty of other great reviews here that explain it was average.I specifically ordered the chilaquiles and a mimosa. I remember it took nearly an hour since we ordered food for it to be delivered to the table. My chilaquiles came to me cold. It looked like pre made egg, some colorful store bought tortilla chips, avocado, and sour cream. No sauce. Paid $18.50 for that. I’m not one to ever complain or even write reviews, so I ate it and didn’t think anything of it. Within less than 24 hours here come the chills, sweating, headaches, so I’m thinking it’s Covid. Fast forward one week later, worst mistake ever. I received such bad food poisoning that I had to go to the emergency room and urgent care, take a week off of work, and when I say I have been living on the toilet due to having to go every 20 mins, there’s so much blood in my stool, there’s literally nothing else risky or contaminated I’ve eaten aside from my visit here that could’ve done this to me. I’m no stranger to stomach issues, but this experience has been excruciating and painful. I’ve called 4 or 5x this week to file a formal complaint and get all of the money back that was spent just to partially cover the ER bill. I will be reporting this incident to the health department!!! I haven’t heard a thing from management. They literally don’t care. I can no longer support this business and I’m incredibly disappointed that a queer establishment of all places has treated me this way.
I loved it here and will definitely return, great entertainment 👍
The Austin Texan family came to Cali with some great ideas for exploring. Hamburger Marys was a must for great Burgers and great entertainment. One family member once met the featured star Louisana Purchase while visiting New Orleans. This led to a great evening at Marys L.A. where easy access to the fine cuisine, the show and even brief chats with the stars. Actors were convincing, humorous and even kind. One of our photo is of the most flavorful and thirst quenching IPA tried to date. And in the City of the Angels at any time you might even witness a poor soul being rescued by a benevolent Angel. Well be back.
This place is always great.. me and my twin love the entire show, the food was ok.. had a waygu burger that was dry and wasnt good. The rest of my food was good but was disappointed in the burger.
