Elements Massage

I love Elements Massage. Have been going for years. I love that you can book online and they show the various pressure levels and skills of the masseuse. I love the ones Ive been going to. However, since Ive been going for years, Ive noticed they consistently raise the price every single year by at least $10 every year. Also, theyve recently started adding on EXTRA charges for a subset of their masseuses. Call them premium or something like that. Dont love that. Their increases are outpacing inflation and definitely outpacing my wage increases! Soon it will be too expensive for me to go here, which will make me sad. Also, its INCREDIBLY hard to book here -- youre looking for months and months out or really weird times in the middle of the day, if you can find one at all. And because Ive had to book out 4+ months in advance, Ive had a few times where theyve canceled on me, so I cant reschedule or have to reschedule with a less-than-desirable time.

Nice, clean and relaxing feeling when walked in. Was greeted right away and in a welcoming manner, and offered a water. Appointment started timely and massage therapist really listened and heard me of why I was there, service was beyond expectations and was happy to hear for the membership program which saved me money while coming back to be treated. Everything for check out was smooth and simple as well. Love the online appointment options too.

I loved the massage therapist I had (Erica). I was very tight and sore from moving furniture for several days. I had had a few previous massages at a different Elements location, asking for help with the same issues, and none of the therapists addressed them. I left frustrated, and I was losing hope, but wow, Erica dug in, just as I asked, and helped loosen things up. I felt like a new person leaving. It also helped with my daily headaches. Definitely will recommend her. She did an awesome job! Krystal, and Andy are also very good at this location. My biggest frustration with all of the local Elements locations is that you can not book your monthly massage unless you book them out about 4 months in advance. My weekly schedule varies from week to week, I can’t book that far in advance so I struggle to actually use the massages I am paying for monthly. I really hope to see that change in the near future or unfortunately I will have to cancel my membership.

I do not recommend this place at all. I was going to give them the benefit of the doubt, but I have had so many things go wrong. Starting with the front desk, making unwelcomed and unprofessional comments about my disability. Im a part-time wheelchair user. The woman at the front desk was commenting about how sometimes I use one, and sometimes I dont. Made me super uncomfortable, and I didnt feel like I owed her an explanation of that.Then, lets start with the massage itself. I got a guy who made me pretty uncomfortable. I was sitting there in awkward silence the whole time. And it felt like I shouldnt be there. Anytime I tried to talk to him, it kind of felt like I was shot down. Making the whole situation very uncomfortable for me.Then, I was given bad advice for taking care of myself post treatment. I was told to sit on a tennis ball. Yet after seeing a physical therapist, that would only make my pain worse because my hip joint was out of its socket. I had been sitting on those tennis balls, making my pain even more unbearable without knowing it.And then finally I joined their membership. But then I was in an accident because of bad weather. Trying to cancel this membership has been nothing short of stressful. I have been told very different information from two different agents. And theyre acting like I should be grateful because theyre waving the fee that they normally charge when you cancel under 30 days notice. Im sorry? I should be thankful for that. Id like to know how they would feel if they were in an accident and unable to get somewhere, and that was thrown in their face that they could be charging you, but they wont. And I should be thankful for that.Thankful for what? I have had nothing but a less than ideal experience with everything. I do not recommend this place. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt time after time, but I really have to give them one star after this whole experience.It just seems like another corporately owned business that is only worried about making money off of their clients. Nobody is concerned about their well-being.

I love going to this studio. The therapists are so great and the studio always felt comfortable. My husband started going there too. Though it is always popular, it is convenient to check online and it was easy to find new openings from cancellations.

This was my first experience with massage therapy and I was completely satisfied with the results. It addressed problem spots that affected the amount and quality of sleep.

The staff at the front desk are always very friendly and welcoming. I’ve really enjoyed my massages from Laura and Stephanie—great pressure level and attention to what my body needs. I always leave feeling like a noodle (in a great way).The ONLY “negative” is that the books fill up fast! You have to plan ahead and book massages pretty far out. It’s rare to get an appointment same week/same month unless you get lucky and there’s the perfect cancellation that they call you about. I guess they’re popular for a reason. 🙂

Twice my massage therapist was either late or didnt show up forcing me to reschedule. The biggest problem is its nearly impossible to book a massage during your pre-paid month because theyre so booked up. I would never recommend buying a membership here because of this issue.Update: Im amending my review because the front desk staff is very cordial and do their best to find spots for you. However, if there are no openings you must go on a waiting list. I need more certainty about my appointments if Im going to pay for a monthly membership.

Pulled in going to a store next door and saw the mothers day ad, thought why not, good idea... walked in and person behind the desk in this small area was very not welcoming, more of a what are you doing here look... walked up to the counter and she still wouldnt look up or say anything... I spoke first saying interested in mothers day massage GC and she seemed annoyed... Ill take my business some where else.. wont give for me... thanks for the Idea..

A very good wellness program for monthly massage. I’ve had to find and re-find therapists who meet my needs. (Therapists do leave from time to time) the massage is actually about 50 minutes - they call the entire experience one hour including the greeting and discussion and the after massage directions. I usually do a 90 minute experience (80 min massage) Elements creates a consistent monthly care routine I value - probably a bit formal compared to going to an individual for massage. You can try out a variety of therapists and find who meets your needs. You need to book out two months in advance because they are very busy. But I’m always happy when the dates arrive each month.

Amazing massage. Stephanie was so skilled, intuitive, strong, and communicative in exactly the right ways. I felt my body realign and relax after this massage without any of the “released toxin” effects of deep tissue I’ve had in the past. All around just life-giving and I will be a regular!

First visit, saw the $89 new client price on website but on the day of my visit Elements wanted to instead charge $99. After a brief chat the manager allowed the $89, however, the Elements website needs to be more clear to avoid customers having to talk to the manager about price. Second, Elements also has very little availability, and so to get the monthly subscription price (significantly lower at $89 than non-sub at $119 per hr booking) even the subscribing monthly client has to hope for a cancellation and continually call to check for an opening. The subscribing client is also charged per month regardless if Elements can accommodate them that month. This is very anti-consumer and while the massage itself was first rate, their poor business practice left a bad taste and I wont be going back.

My experience with Elements massage was very poor mainly due to the manager, Ashley. I dont have anything negative to say about the massage therapist other than we were poorly matched with my needs vs what the therapist provides. As a result it was mutually agreed to end the massage early. You have to prepay and the nice staff assured me it wasnt a problem and I would be refunded. Ashley was unsympathetic and wont credit the difference. Im having to dispute the charge with my credit card company. Ashley took an unfortunate situation and made it way worse than it needed to be!

Excellent massage studio. I had never gotten a massage before and really like the professional and clean environment, it takes some courage to get naked and lay on a table but after trying it I love making this a monthly self-care habit. Its nice that there are many masseuses, so you can book appointments with a few people and find someone or a few people who you really like working with. The front desk is wonderful and flexible - I left a message when I needed to cancel an appointment, and it was removed without needing to call or check in again (small thing, but youd be surprised how many places would drop something like that!). I also just love how the place smells and the calming music, puts me right at ease as soon as I walk in the door.

Ive been receiving massages from Scott monthly for over 2 years and I am very pleased with his outstanding service. He always asks me what areas of my body I want addressed . So now I receive 90 minute massages for Scott to be able to focus on these areas plus others so I always receive a complete body massage. He also provides suggestions with exercises I can do at home if Im experiencing ongoing pain or muscle tightness. The office also provides excellent scheduling services and response to questions or concerns.

Have seen multiple massage therapists and each has a different style. Always wish the massage lasted longer than it does and look forward to the next one. Everyone has been very professional and the therapists provide tips as to how to address areas of concern (sore muscles). Definitely will be going back and highly recommend.

I normally don’t leave reviews, but I would stay well away from dealing with this company particularly the location in Fitchburg. I recently canceled my membership while I had several on use credits on my account approximately eight months to be exact. They refused to refund my money and also give me gift cards which they found reasons to make invalidate The lack of professionalism and written detail to support and justify their actions is just appalling!!I will not recommend this place to anyone quite honestly it’s been a horrible experience!

Went in for what was specified as a Relaxing couples massage and got a massage meant for injury recovery. Its fine if you dont focus on the relaxing side of things but dont throw in chocolates and call it something its not. Even then neither I nor my girlfriend felt that the massage therapists went hard enough or made us feel at all more relaxed after the $200+ we spent. Extremely disappointed.

Henry was easy going and understood exactly what I was looking for in my massage. He actually read my direction as to where I needed most work at. And he did an excellent job. I am a big guy and I often feel I do not get the deep tissue massage I desperately need from other massage therapists. Not anymore. I was so impressed with Henrys massage that I signed up for Elements membership program before I left the building because now that I finally found a therapist who got it right, why go anywhere else?

The staff were friendly, but the location is very run down. Its poorly lit, dusty, and the paint is chipping. But the important part is the massage... which severely disappointed me. Possibly the worst massage I have ever received, all oil and no technique, but at least it didnt hurt.

Once I loved coming to this place. Elements hires some wonderful massage therapist, Scott Fry being the top of them. He has been great at managing my body pain and his massages are the best I have ever had.However Elements as a company has been a pain to deal with and I could no longer support them. They communicate infrequently. Especially when there is an increase in monthly payments, you never find out until after the fact and then they say that their emails must have gone to my spam folder, which it hasnt. They are terrible with cancellations, having management answer your messages. Basically anything regarding money, they drop the ball. I do not blame the front desk staff for this, I blame management and their lack of commitment to their customers and staff.

The whole experience was awesome! Everyone is super friendly, if you like massages at least once a month, you need to sign up for their wellness package, which saves you $30 every massage. Erica keeps getting better each time I see her. I will def be back, id love to try the salt massage.. Much better experience going all the way out to Fitchburg than going to one if the places downtown. Keep up the great work, elements!

I like the relaxing atmosphere and recommend the therapist Laura. She was very attentive to what areas of my back to focus on and pressure. The massage was wonderful. She also recommended yoga poses/stretching afterwards to help prevent the pain I was having. She’s very knowledgeable! Definitely will be back!

There is a good variety of therapists available to meet everyones needs. All of the therapists I have seen are knowledgeable, professional and skilled. It is easy to schedule with therapists that fit your need and the online scheduling is very convenient. all of the rooms are immaculately clean, comfortable and functional. Every employee you work with from the moment you walk in the door to the check out after your massage are kind, knowledgeable and helpful. The monthly membership option is a great way to save when you need regular visits.

I have really enjoyed my experience with Elements Massage. The front desk receptionist has always been kind and helpful each time I come in for an appointment of if I have questions. They have incredible deals occasionally which have been steals in my opinion. The massage therapists are warm and friendly as well. They ask me exactly how I would like my massage, and they deliver each time. I would recommend Elements to anyone who asks.

Ive been bouncing around to different masseurs at the Fitchburg location and Ive been impressed by all of them. Whether its the deep tissue massage or a lighter massage with salt stones, Ive left with significant muscle release and pain reduction.

Oh my! I started with a one visit to Elements because my chiropractor had trouble getting any movement during adjustments, plus they did not last, my ribs would just pop out soon after an adjustment. I decided to get a massage first and then go back to the chiropractor. I started taking a regular massage with Elements Massage since October of 2018 to now March 2019. I try to keep a 10 to 14 day interval. When I started I was having so many problems that they would be hard to list completely. Most importantly I was having major breathing troubles and recurring sickness because of several ribs that always seemed to be out. My massage therapist at Elements suggested that perhaps the ribs were being held out of place by the knots all over my back. I believe she was correct they had built up over the years and were now really giving me huge trouble. My First massage was with Stephanie for 2 hours. It was about 40 minutes into the massage when I could actually breath so much more easily. It was stunningly amazing. I had improved by a minimum of 60%. I left there and then got an adjustment with a chiropractor immediately after the massage. Getting a massage at Elements with Stephanie, Scott and AJ has been the single best thing I have done for my health in years. I highly recommend Elements Massage.

I have had plenty of awful massages at other places around Wisconsin, but only amazing massages here! Crystal at Elements is the best I have ever had! I am reccomending her to everyone I know. She is so in tune with my body, the elements, the room, light and sound. She cares so much about my comfort that I was able to 100% relax with her. I signed up for the monthly package because shes 100% worth seeing again and again!

I’m have an active membership and usually go to the Middleton branch. I tried Fitchburg a few times, but the last two times have been terrible. Late September I had a session with a skilled therapist but the room temperature was so low that it was impossible to relax and the therapist said she can’t do anything about the temperature. I notified the front desk after my session and they said they’ll take care of it. I thought maybe it was a one time thing since the weather was just getting cold.Fast forward to December, I made another appointment and the room was freezing! The AC was on, cold air was blowing directly at my back and at some point I started shaking and shivering! The therapist said she can’t do anything since the temperature was set for the whole building and not each room. After my session, when the front desk asked me how was it, I told them how cold it was. Sitting there in their thick sweater and jackets, they said “yeah we need to bring someone to fix it” No sympathy! They were already aware that there was an issue and didn’t seem to care! I said this seems to be an ongoing issue and therefore I won’t come back to this branch, I’d rather wait for the Middleton to have openings, and they said OK :)

I love their Wellness Program. I never had regular massages until I heard of this and I cant believe how much better I feel getting those monthly massages. I also like that I can give massages as gifts at my Wellness Program price. My favorite masseuse is Melissa, who not only has a great touch, but she gives good advice about problem areas (like my lower back). I also love their new Aromatherapy option. I take my sachets with me and my car smells of lavender for days!

First time here, had a prenatal massage. The staff was warm and welcoming. Melissa has a friendly and positive approach, used great pressure and checked in with me to make sure everything was feeling good. She is very knowledgeable, and made sure I was comfortable throughout. Afterwards she spoke with me about what she felt could use more work, and gave me some recommendations of things to try at home. Didnt want to leave, and looking forward to going back!

This rating reflects on my personal experience: i arrived 5 minutes later than my scheduled session due to confusion from my part on the location, when i arrived, i had to fill out some paperwork which took about ten minutes, my assumption was my massage should be 55 minutes instead of 60 minutes since i arrived late, the actual massage ended even 8 minutes earlier than the scheduled session, which means i ended up getting about 35 minutes massage for my 60 minutes massage. they counted filling the paperwork part of my massage and i wasn’t informed to arrive early for the massage to fill the paperwork when booked, also not sure why my massage ended about 8 minutes earlier than the scheduled 60 minutes. the massage itself was great but i can’t come back again after this, i still gave the gratitude of a 60 minutes massage. I look forward to a response from them after verifying the information i provided in this review.

I just love going to Elements Massage. The front desk staff are fantastic and always willing to help. My massage therapist, Colleen, is just the best. I have been going to her now for over 1 year and I will not switch. She is great and has made this runners legs feel great. Thanks Elements Massage for the great service.

I had to cancel an appointment last minute due to a family emergency. The lady was very kind when canceling it but mentioned nothing of charging me. A day later I noticed that they charged me the full $99 for the cancelation and when I called them, the person I spoke to said they would have the owner call me ASAP to figure out a way to refund me. I never received a call or a refund. I have a gift card for a free hour massage but because of this I will not use it or ever go to another Elements Massage.

I have experienced nothing but issues with this membership. My first experience started with the masseuse showing up late, I was told I would receive a free upgrade which I did not get. Our 3rd appointment was cancelled same day. They again offered a free upgrade in return, we had already paid for our membership massage yet I was charged for an additional massage AND for the upgrade that was supposed to make up for their inconvenience. I called in and spoke with a very helpful person who refunded me the charge and said she would give me an Elements Promise (free massage) to make up for the numerous issues I had encountered. She also stated that she would place my membership on hold (w/o 30 day notice) to allow me to use the free massage and decide if I would change my mind and not completely cancel. I was then charged for the membership still less than 2 weeks later.

Honestly, I dont ever write reviews. However, I am so upset with this place. I called to schedule a free 30 minute massage - they scheduled me on the wrong day. never got a confirmation text, call or email. - called me a day before the appointment I asked for - told me I was late, we went back and forth and she hung up on me. called back 17 times, they refused to answer my calls, then blocked my number. I was charged $55 for no reason. thee worst service ever.

This is a fantastic studio with great staff and excellent massage therapists! Ive made a lot of progress in recovery through multiple injuries thanks to the fantastic work of Erika and Andrew. Elements really does stand out to me vas the best place in Madison to get a massage, and so much more.

Just tried walking in because they advertise walk ins welcome on their website.... Id have gladly waited because my head is killing me but the first opening they have is tomorrow. Therefore, walk ins are not welcome, its appointment only.

The staff at every location Ive been to is always very welcoming, the massage beds at the Fitchburg location are heated and can be raised up or down by the push of a button! Im not sure if that is also the case at the Middleton location, but thats what I know. My massage therapist, Katy, has hands made by the gods. The last massage I received was from her and it was the best massage Ive ever had.

I would be a mess without Elements! Their massage therapist are incredibly knowledgeable about overall function of your body. They take the time to give stretching tips and other advise after each visit to keep your body healthy. Also, every receptionist I have met has been engaging and helpful at scheduling or alterations to visits.

I’ve been coming here for about a year. I suspended my account when I was furloughed due to covid and they were really great about it. I just had my first session back and they did everything right when it comes to health and safety and made me feel at ease. Everyone here is very helpful and I’ve had some great massage therapist.

I have had a few massages in my short life. Some were good, some were okay. Ashley was the first to realize just how stressed my body was. The place was clean, professional, and well organized. The staff as a whole was very polite even thou I ran a bit late.

I don’t normally get massages but I had a gift card so I decided to try it out. Im a hair dress and I carry a lot of stress in my back and shoulders. I think her name was Christa . 95 percent sure. She was more then amazing. She got all my Knots out. I would highly recommend her to my own clients. Thanks Rachel

Tried it twice, terrible experience. Tried the recurring program, the terms are kind of predatory. Low availability, massages are use or lose on a per month basis, you can only cancel in person in writing, and you need 30 days notice so they charge you for an extra month once you decide to cancel.Scheduling is a nightmare unless you do it in person from the desk, their website is slow and does not reflect actual availability. Actual experience is mixed depending on who you get, I had one person that did a pretty good job one that wasnt good.

Great place to work and receive bodywork. Therapists there are very personable and have extensive knowledge between them. I had a massage with Henry recently. Very skilled. I love that all therapists are unique and have there own personal styles.

Therapist was very friendly but professional. We discussed my problem areas and then she got to work without a bunch of chitchat. Afterwards she recommended some stretches the I could do on my own. 100% positive experience.

The staff were courteous and very welcoming. The massage was relaxing and wonderful! I was given a few stretches I can do at home to relieve tension in the shoulder area along with some additional information that was extremely useful! I would highly recommend Elements Massage! This is a fabulous establishment with top notch staff!!!!

Question for you. Are your 1 hour massages 50 minutes? I was just there this afternoon and had a gift card for 1 hour. My massage lasted 50 minutes. It was good and I enjoyed it. Just curious because even the stip sign in the room does not say anything about a 50 minute massage. It refers to one hour and 90 minute massages. Not a big deal but it does seem to be false advertisement. Thanks

I had a good massage and signed up to get a massage monthly with their package. It took about a month to find an opening for the next time I wanted to get in. When the appointment came I called to tell them I was just getting a cold and wondered if they had aromatherapy oils that I could add to the message that might help. I felt tired but ok the day before. The person did not want to message me and since it is less than 24 hours I will be charged $20. I asked if I could have my husband go in my place so I wouldnt be charged and they said no. I understand the rules, but I feel like they were the ones that canceled. I was hoping to still come in for the message. The next opening is now about a month away again.

I go to Andrew every month in Fitchburg and he does a fabulous job! He is very professional and he wants to hear what may be bothering you or what you would like to focus on. He does a great job and checks in during as well which is nice. I highly recommend Andrew and i highly recommend Elements Massage.

EXCELLENT MASSAGE THERAPISTSThe staff is always friendly and welcoming. I have been going to Stephanie for over a year now. She has done wonders helping me understand my stress areas and what stretches are best to relieve the tension between wellness massages.

I came in to Elements Massage as a new client & in a lot of pain in my feet & legs. I chose them because I saw online that reflexology was offered. By the time the session was over I felt so much better; I was given some exercises to use at home to help & already have my next session scheduled!

I scheduled a 90 minute massage with Christa as a first time client due to extreme soreness from working out. This was not my first massage, but she worked areas that have been overlooked before and it made a world of difference. After my massage, she gave me suggestions for stretches to help the areas that were very tight. I will definitely be going back to see her again in the near future!

I recently had a massage done by Ashley and I can honestly say it was the best massage I have had in my life!!! She listened to me regarding my problems in my shoulders and back and focused on these areas. I will definitely recommend Ashley at Elements Massage to anyone looking for an excellent massage.

I havent had a massage in years so I was extremely tight and tense. Chris did a great job of hitting the target areas and making me feel more relaxed! I will definitely be going back!

No complaints at all. I’ve already told at least 5 people about how great my experience was. I really liked how the room wasn’t cold, like most massage places I’ve been to. It’s harder for me to relax when I’m cold, and there was a comfy blanket to keep me even warmer.

Scott has the deepest understanding about functional musculoskeletal issues of any massage therapist Ive ever met. Excellent & highly effective technique. Front desk staff was also very friendly and helpful. Ill definitely be back!

I have been going to Elements for about a year and it has helped with my tension and stress immensely! Always very professional staff and very accommodating. Both massage therapists I have seen there were outstanding!

I love going to Elements to get a hot stone massage. Its the best massage out there and Elements staff know good techniques. Whether I ask for a relaxed or deep tissue massage they just know how to make me feel better. They even give awesome advice for things to work on at home that help with stress on your body. I had an excellent massage therapist Deanne and am very impressed with the response that I got from the owner due to loud noises from the neighboring bar during my last massage. Appreciated the complimentary massage to make up for that last one. Will definitely go back!

Ive been an Elements Middleton client for years, but was excited when they opened a Fitchburg location as its closer to my house. My mother and I went to Elements Fitchburg which was a Mothers Day gift. It was heavenly. We shared a room (by choice) and had a great couples massage. Weve scheduled a follow-up since it was so heavenly!

Was able to get in quickly for a last minute massage. The front desk staff is very friendly and my massage therapist Stephanie was wonderful!

Extremely friendly staff. Colleen was very knowledgeable when I asked her about certain muscles and connects, stretches, etc. I was very happy to see how Middleton and Fitchburg locations accommodated my canceled appointment and my work schedule.

The Fitchburg location is great! Ashley, the manager, is so kind and great customer service. Scott and Stephanie, massage therapists, are the best. Highly recommend!

Stephanies service was everything I had hoped for and more. I came in with shoulder and neck pain. She certainly worked my trouble spots and found others I didnt even know I had. She came highly recommended and I will recommend others looking for a similar service.

Customer service was great! But they do not seem to have many massage options or experienced massage therapists (in different skills), and options were further limited by limited availability of therapists.

Prices are reasonable, the ease of the monthly program is nice, and the massage artists give a good massage. Some places where you can do a subscription, the massage has felt perfunctory. Not here.

Professional, clean, and kind. I got a free 30-minute sports massage using a coupon from the Verona Triterium Triathlon. It was an amazing way to unwind after work, and get some knots out of my back from a recent race.

I love the Elements Massages monthly plan, which makes the prices reasonable when theyre necessary so often. All the staff members are nice, and Ashley is the best masseuse!

I went 1 time and I was hooked! I pay for the 1 hour monthly membership and it is worth every penny. Every person I have had has been very professional and wonderful at what they do. I highly recommend.

I had a 90 minute massage with Alec and he did an awesome job. The pressure was perfect and he paid attention to my problem areas. I highly recommend him as a therapist!
