This place may be held together with Duct tape and hope at this point, but it is a home away from home. Amazing shows and darn decent drinks are in abundance here. In the summer they have outdoor volleyball. They dont serve traditional food, but you can buy a cooked frozen pizza or munch on some free popcorn. This is a very welcoming place, and one I visit often

Trash service half the time but thats a common modern problem, too many woke women who believe saying sorry in a happy tone for not doing what they say theyll do somehow makes up for the fact theyre a false advertising, lazy, con artist clown. Its a shame that personal preference is more important than character and integrity. Sad fact is she lost the company revenue by deliberately ignoring a new customer for five minutes while she finished closing early instead of spending an extra two minutes to earn another $10 for the company and another $5 for herself, so shes deliberately choosing to hurt everyones bottom line, including her own, merely because she prefers to get home four hours early. Not sure how these kind of people survive let alone manage to get hired. This clown needs to be fired immediately.

Every time I come here it’s the best time ever! The bartenders are so wonderful and friendly and the shows are always amazing!

What a place to dance and be welcomed and happy!I’m not LBGTQ but i love this community and how they embrace life…and welcome everybody of every stripe!!! Five is full of life!The dance floor is modest, but seemingly perfectly sized for the crowd. The music is awesome and it’s pretty much impossible not to want to dance. Lights make the place full of energy!There are some common areas that are aside of the music a bit…enough for some conversation…No cover. Easy access close to the belt line. Plenty of parkingThis is s good place!!!

If you dont need to use the restrooms the rest of the place is fun. Great dance floor, well stocked bar, line dance and 2-step lessons.

I went yesterday for my friend’s birthday since it was Latin night they had drag performances and it was good. At the end of the performances they open the floor for people to dance and it was lit. The different genres of music played were Banda, Bachata, Merengue, Salsa and Cumbria. The drinks are fairly affordable. The cover was $10 per person and they take only cash wish was a little bit disappointing but they have an ATM by the entrance. The place also have dart, pool and other games.

Had an absolute blast there. Went there for a show, stayed all night dancing. I was VERY impressed with the speed and positive attitude of the bartenders.

Good people, drag shows and clean. Decent prices on drinks and a variety of liquor options.

It’s a pretty fun place. Love going there to have fun with my friends.

Went here for the agrace fundraiser. The drag show was amazing. I loved how they had a family friendly show earlier. Truly truly a very fun place

Went here with my boyfriend on New Years Eve and had an absolute blast! Loved that the venue provided free champagne and a buffet for the event, thought that was pretty cool!

Club five is a good club if you want something laidback, the drinks are around 6-8$ Depending on what you get which is average. There’s been popcorn available when I have gone so that’s a nice perk. The bathrooms are small and dated, this is understandable seeing as though drunk people use it 6 days a week. I recommend going on Latino night (which sadly is only once a month), the DJ that night is the best and it’s busiest, meaning everyones dancing and has a good time. Other nights club five feels like a bar not so much a club. The DJs the other nights can be slightly rude if you make a song request and don’t always play danceable music. Sometimes it feels like they take offense when requesting a song. The crowd at five is mainly millennials (30s) and older. Overall club five is a 4/5, with better, more dance-able music it would be 5/5

Always fun and Im glad to see an array of drag instead of that being pushed by the media of white, petite and with beauty influencer style makeup. Ive gone to a few gay bars in Madison and this one (for me) has been the most accepting with very nice staff and entertainers.

It was a wonderful night. Great bartenders. Fabulous performers. The bar itself is not exactly handicap-friendly, but what nightclub actually ever is. :) UPDATE: The club is now a bit more disability friendly. Still quite packed, but at least easier to manuever and the deck/porch is awesome!

Probably one of the safest-feeling bars Ive been to. I travel a lot, and its rare to find such a friendly and welcoming crowd, as well as a bartender who regularly checked in and made sure I was okay.10/10 would recommend

Mikaelson Enterprises LLC & The Mikaelson family, Has sponsored many shows here or I wouldnt say shows more like dancers and drag queens but the CEO had a really bad experience the last time we were in bartender was rude, only attended to the white members of the group, When asking to speak to the manager the guy said that he was the manager and the owner was not going to take any calls DAVE do better, Words to describe this bar unsafe, lack of security, dirty racist ,biased and vanilla! Little did he know the big black man is the CEO and the only person legal allowed to pay & sign for the card used . The bank wont be honoring those charges!

My girlfriend and I loved going to their shows. Drag shows would be the highlight of our week sometimes. Shes immune compromised though and is unable to get the vaccine. Weve spent many many hours here and thousands and thousands of dollars here. Brought many friends, family and different groups. Sad theyre going out like this.

I don’t usually post reviews, but this place is fantastic! Our host was Gretch Grimme-Deville and whatever they are getting paid is not enough! Gretch was not only funny but genuinely kind and welcoming. It made for a fun night. I’d also like to note Demetrius makes the best drinks and always with a smile :)

I am a straight female and I went there on 7-26-19 and watched the drag show and tipped nicely. Baby bear came up to my table and asked my name and why I was there. I said for fun and he replied well I think you’d have more fun at kfc down the road with a famous bowl. I left immediately. I thought I could relax and have a good time, I figured it was an open non judge mental place. I was wrong.

The bartender told me to leave a bad review, so.. I’ll do just that. I probably had about 3 one sentence conversations with this bartender, I was saying please and thank you and being a normal human ordering at a bar. At the end of the night I try to close my tab because my friends were leaving. I said hi sir may I please close my tab when you have a chance and he said yes. Then 5 min goes by and I just reminded him excuse me sir I need to close my tab (cuz my friends were waiting to go). Then he immediately snaps at me and is like “I’m done with you. I’m done. You need to close your tab at the front because I’m done. Leave a bad review I don’t care.” Ummm….. what??? I was honestly shocked. At first I thought he was just joking so I was laughing and stuff then when he actually wouldn’t close my tab I was shook. The bartender says “I’m actually going to help this person now” and points to the dude next to me… who i was with.. and leaving with. I go oh great, we’re both trying to close our tabs so if you could do mine too I would appreciate it. But he literally didn’t, and instead just closed my friends tab. So I went to the front and closed my tab in 2 seconds with no issue at all. So yeah, 1 star because some of the bartenders have some mental issues. Like I’m at a bar having fun and laughing having a good time not trying to be attacked for being nothing but polite. 1 star. I’ll be back tho cuz there’s only like 3 gay bars in madison.

Dave the owner ROCKS!!!! The club is a great place with very friendly people does not matter your orientation all are welcome. And Thursday evening Zumba in the club is happening, a dance fitness class in the club??? Youll never know your working out ,but you will burn some serious calories which you can put a couple back on with a few libations at the bar!!! GREAT Place!!!!!!!!!

Great place to go and meet up with friends. The entire Five crew are as friendly as their boss, whos one of the best guys around. Good dancing, pool, darts, Packer/Badger games, volleyball, Sunday Funday, best drag shows, and best drinks.

Really nice place, great staff for the most part and I enjoy the shows or djs they have. The reason why I give it 4 stars is that they dont have ANY bouncers. You literally walk in, and you dont even get carded lol. I wouldnt care about this but I entered the bathroom and into a stall with no lock, and a drunk man came into the bathroom then my stall, while I was dressing myself back up, and shouting GET OUT I NEED TO PEE GET OUT which was a shock and that has never happened to me before but all I could do was obey the man and run out without even flushing. That was my first time experience by the way so not a good impression but still I enjoyed it otherwise.

Would have 5 stars but Im pretty sure something happened to my drink.I handle my liquor well. 3 captain and cokes elsewhere and Im still only buzzed.Had 2 captain and cokes here and I couldnt see, my vision was blurred, couldnt walk, and I threw up.I never left my drink, hovered over it the entire time. Guess I should watch them pour it.

FIVE is a fantastic venue for really awesome drag shows. There are several different areas in the club that accommodate all different types of people. The dance floor has plenty of amenities to keep the party going, e.g., liberal lights and lasers, fog, and videos. There are areas to sit and relax. There are areas to play darts or pool. There are multiple bars. The people who work there are very friendly and charming, but I think my favorite part is how much they give back to the community. This is really a... FIVE... star venue! This place is disgusting. I used to go there when I was fresh out of high school. Floor was always sticky, people barely had clothes on, bartenders are creepy old men, bouncers too fat to even protect themselves, and of course the trash that frequents there. I heard they serve food there, and I hope its a joke. Oh and watch out for a drag queen named Desireé. She has a nasty habit of grabbing while all coked out!

While the establishment was nice in appearance, I will not be returning on the very basis that Club Five has no concern over the very problematic human rights issue of Russia doing away with the freedom of its LGBT people. Do not attempt to ask management why they continue to serve vodka that comes from a Russian company; they will brush you aside as if you lack intelligence.Overall, I cannot and will not return a gay bar that would prioritize their profit from serving Russian vodka over the basic principle of standing up for the oppressed LGBT people in Russia.

This bar went to hell! Its Saturday night and the place is dead and whoever this DJ Ravyn is needs to learn to quit playing rap boo boo music that he likes and CATER TO YOUR CROWD, ITS 12:40PM ON SATURDAY JUNE 29TH AND NOBODY IS DANCING! THE DANCEFLOOR IS EMPTY! The bar is a shell of what it used to be 10/20 years ago. The main bar is ridiculously oversized now, theres NO reason they needed to change it from being in the center to sucking up all the area it does now, not to mention its UGLY! Owner Dave got rid of the old bar area off the dancefloor by the dj and has reconfigured the bar/stage layout about a dozen times over the last few years.This place was about to close down a few years back because the owner Dave has a spending problem and keeps CONSTANTLY messing with the bar.....the community bailed him out and he just keeps spending on UNNECESSARY improvements yet the parking lot is FULL of potholes and the landscaping is overgrown and very unkept! The previous owner has got to be rolling in his grave looking down on the sh!itshow Dave has turned this bar into. I cant wait till it fails again. Will definitely NOT return!

Really nice low-key, relaxed bar that doesnt really feel like a club. Bartenders are quick to respond and very nice. The overall atmosphere is great.

Not the best gay bar I have been to considering I’ve frequented local gay bars in Los Angeles and West Hollywood. It was ok.

I went with my kids for The Mother’s Day Show & Brunch . It’s was fabulous !! The performances 👏👏. & The food was wonderful . It all made my Mother’s Day a very enjoyable day with my family .

What a horrible game, if I could give kids 1000,000 stars I would do it, if you like gay clubs, please dont go to this one, its a horrible place, the pseudo DJ is a fan of banda music and 90s corridos, well, theres almost nothing missing. For ladies to take their 2-year-old children, what a horror, it seems like a town fair, what a disappointment, zero gay, Ill never go back to this place, soooo scary
