Barrio is AMAZING!!!!I can’t thank AJ, Nicole and the rest of the barrio squad enough for an incredible private party we had at their studio!We were dancing this routine all weekend long for my bachelorette party LOL. Everyone is obsessed and i have a feeling you’ll be seeing us all again soon 😁

Such a fun and welcoming environment! I love making it to classes at Barrio when I can and they always brighten my day. The staff and instructors are always incredibly kind and welcoming. The classes are truly accessible and I always feel comfortable.I would highly recommend Barrio to anyone in the Madison area looking for an incredible dance experience! It’s a great community and there’s something for everyone.

I came to Barrio as a beginner and was a little nervous at first. The environment, instructors, and other dancers were incredibly welcoming and supportive. This is a really special, non-judgmental, creative learning space that enthusiastically welcomes everyone, all ages and levels. I recommend it frequently to friends who want to try something new, learn a new skill, get a work-out, or find a creative outlet. Regular attendees and the instructors learned my name right away. Instructors are also incredibly mindful of when to give support and offer extra encouragement. I go to Barrio when Ive got a lot on my mind, and I leave feeling better every time.

I love Barrio so much that I wanna gatekeep🤪Jokes aside, Barrio is the reason I am a dancer today. I started a year ago with 0 studio or professional experience. Decided to dip my feet into Hip Hop, and soon after started taking heels classes too. A year and hundreds of classes later I spend 3 very addictive nights a week at Barrio. The good people and good vibes here never fail. Barrio is an AMAZING place to dance! The environment is very welcoming and supportive of dancers of all levels, and they offer a variety of styles of dance. It’s awesome that they offer both class packages for frequent dancers, and also a single class option for someone in town for just a day. This studio has become my favorite and I look forward to taking more classes here!

Barrio has some of the most supportive, encouraging, caring, and FUN instructors and people that I have ever met! Its a place where dancers of any level can grow at their pace, where training hard is absolutely encouraged, and the energy is always positive. I started as a beginner and Ive always felt comfortable and free to experiment with movement without being judged. Definitely give a class a try, you will not regret it.

Barrio dance is a safe haven for people of all dance experiences to learn and train. I’ve been dancing for a very long time and Barrio is the only environment that I have felt fully comfortable to try new things and look foolish. The staff there are the kindest and the community that they have built has been the most supportive and encouraging. If you want to try a new kind of exercise, go here and thank me later.

Madison dancers (current and those who still like to dance for fun like myself) this is the spot! All of the staff is talented and welcoming, the environment is great and there’s something for everyone. AJ and Nicole are wonderful. 100% recommend taking class at Barrio if you get the chance!

My sister and I have been looking to join a community of adult dancers who want to continue their love for dance and keep up their skills! Barrio is the place for this! I started at Barrio Dance earlier this year, and I had no idea how quickly their classes would become my favorite part of the week! The teaching staff and attending students are off the charts supportive, and overtime have helped curb my nervousness from dancing in front of people. Overall, BD is an excellent studio for dancers of any skill level and I would recommend their classes to everyone.

I love Barrio!!! The owners (AJ & Nicole) are my good friends for life. They have an amazing studio that is centered around the idea that coming to class should feel like you’re coming together with your community. Absolutely LOVE Barrio! Everyone is so friendly, and it is an incredibly welcoming space. Whether youre someone who started dancing before you could walk or maybe you have two left feet, youll feel welcomed and have a fun time simply dancing. Definitely check out the Heels class!

Barrio Dance studio has a very special balance of extremely high levels of instruction AND a very welcoming culture for beginners! The owner AJ is very involved and his passion for building a welcoming community shows in every class and instructor that he has brought on board. The instructors take their craft seriously. The local and guest instructors study and teach all over the world. Madison is lucky to have such quality instruction that is accessible and welcoming to all!

As someone who has no experience dancing, this place is great for learning with no big commitment. There are drop in classes of various styles and levels of skill that you can pay for online. Everyone is friendly and I definitely recommend!

Recently began attending hip hop and Latin fusion classes for the fall season. Thanks to the highly competent choreographers, their constant encouragement, infectiously positive attitude and energy, it’s an environment for dancers of all levels to grow and learn in. If you enjoy embracing fun challenges and are open to expanding your rhythmic horizons, this is the dance studio for just that! I could go on, but the amazing classes speak for themselves :)

I was a Secret Santa for a friend that loves dancing and wanted to gift her a class from this dance studio. The person that I talked to was nice, professional, and very helpful. I live in Texas so I was worried about how I would send payment but they worked with me and everything went smoothly! They even emailed my friend the information so that I could stay anonymous! I am very satisfied with the fast communication and helpfulness that I received from this Studio. I can tell that they really care about the people that come here. If I am ever in Madison then I am definitely taking a class here for myself! haha

Hey ,If you are looking for a place good place to learn high quality dance for a reasonable price Barrio would be the places for you. The instructors are down to earth and the break down the combinations for me as inexperience dancer can understand. Thank you to Aj for giving classes for busy adults can attend . LOVE Barrio! I had always wanted to find a dance studio/ get into dancing, but felt like I missed the window of time when I had graduated college. BUTT, Barrio is a drop in studio so anyone can go at anytime (no matter your experience/age) The energy is unreal there and I always leave feeling better than when I came! biiiiiig fan.

The year 2021, for me, has been filled with tragedy after tragedy and this place has saved my life. I cant speak highly enough of the uplifting, supportive and happy vibes this place radiates. The teachers are amazing and make you feel comfortable to step outside your comfort zone. I cannot recommend Barrio enough yall!!! Its really such a community that brings the dancing to life in Madison WI

Great studio! I recently tried my first class there, a jazz fusion with Bailey. It was amazing! Super fun, upbeat, and inclusive environment. I will definitely be going back!

Agostina is a welcoming, knowledgeable instructor. As a beginner adult dancer, I have truly loved my experience learning with her team.

If you are looking for drop in dance classes in Madison this is THE PLACE!! All of their classes are fun and have such an inclusive atmosphere. I love their hip hop and contemporary classes, and all the teachers are incredible!

Hard to find but was an amazing experience! I took the beginners choreo class and I had so much fun while also getting a workout!

I have VERY little dance experience but I have been going to beginner hiphop here and it has been great! It’s a very welcoming, supportive, and fun environment! Would highly recommend if you like to dance or if you’re looking to try something new!
