Excellent service, my muscles were sore from scrubbing and painting and I was so happy to just succumb to a full warm body massage with someone who was not too forceful but applied the right amount of pressure ending with hot stones and towels. I felt renewed and will recommend this spa for sure to anyone needing to relax and rejuvenate♥️🦉💃🏻💯

Ive had problems with my back for years, and had the best massage in very a long time here at this location. . There was a younger lady working on my back that I wish couldve finished my massage but I guess she forgot she had an appointment..but the second lady did an excellent job finishing up. 5 stars.

Bottom line: 90 minutes for $90, but you get what you pay for.I gave 3 stars and not less because maybe it just wasn’t for me. The massage was aggressive and choppy - not really relaxing. I asked for deep tissue (which I’ve had many times before) and it felt more like I was being beat up (at times there was actual hitting lol). I’m not sure the person was actually trained as a masseuse because nothing really flowed for lack of a better description, and I’m not sure she could tell the difference between knots and just my muscles and tendons. She also did this thing where she’d run her hands up my hair and end with pushing her knuckles into the top of my skull - which was painful.Something to know before coming here: it’s not like any massage place I’ve been to before where they have you fill out a questionnaire or sign anything. So if you have prior injuries or limited mobility, I recommend letting them know before hand. They did do some stretches with the shoulders and legs so if that causes you pain, make sure you’re vocal to avoid further injury. Also, there are no doors on the rooms, just a curtain. Oh and I’m pretty sure my butt was exposed for at least 70 minutes of the 90. Another thing, they use a lot of oil/ lotion so if you have sensitive skin or allergies, I recommend asking about what they’re using.

Purity Foot Massage in Marina, CA is absolutely WONDERFUL! I treated myself to an hour massage for $60...30 minutes upper body and 30 minutes feet and legs. Their next to Daddys Diner so after if youre hungry stop by there to grab a bite to eat.The Purity Massage is very clean and I like that they have security cameras you can see in front. They have men and women masseuse and everyone makes you feel comfortable and safe. Music is soothing, heated massage beds, linens clean and the air is filled with light pleasant Aromatherapy.They have several rooms with curtains for privacy, each has two massage tables. This was a nice feature since the one I usually go to at the Salinas Mall the massage tables are all in the open and theres not much privacy.So if youre looking to get pampered at a very reasonable price and leave feeling relaxed and rather have more of a privacy setting then you must experience Purity Foot and Body Massage.The Masseuse that worked on me was Mike and he checked on me several times to make sure the pressure wasnt too hard. He made me feel comfortable. They use warm oil and heated rocks...youll be in heaven!Enjoy!

Linda was extremely kind and gave me a wonderful full body massage. She focused on my shoulders as I requested, and I felt so much more relaxed and relieved of stress afterwards. A great price for excellent service! I did a walk-in and was seen right away on a Saturday afternoon.

I had a great massage until it came down to pay !!! Lady said how much tip Im like okay sure did a good job .!!! She didnt like the tip I offered and said 20$ I was taken back becuase I didnt know it was a back n forth when it came to tipping maybe its a cultural thing , but didnt like way it came across other than that it was a good experience / clean

Got a Massage today from Anna. Shes terrific as usual but noticed her and another staff member were clearing their throats the whole time I was getting my Massage. Ended up getting a sore throat after my massage. Please, Jason, make sure your staff are healthy and not sick before they perform their job for the sake of public health.

Had another terrific massage today by Anne. I have problems walking, suffering from osteoarthritis and sciatica. She has a wonderful ability to find and work free the knots and tension throughout my body. She is very respectful, professional and polite. I leave with my body and mind in a much better state then when I arrived.

Worst experience I ever had. Don’t go there. If you tell them for one hour $60 . They will do 90 minute and charge you $90. And massage was so harsh, I felt pain in me. The worst part is at end they will force you to give more tip. If you give them $5 they want $20 and they will force you to pay $20 tip. They did the same thing with previous customer before me. When you try to make them understand they will say I don’t understand English. I would say don’t go, these type of massage parlors should be close.

Jason at the front desk is the nicest guy in the world. If you want high quality massage and high quality people, this is the place for you. Great massage, terrible people. I paid the cost and even gave the woman a couple dollars more to be nice, since thats all I had. She followed me outside demanding more of a tip like $20. I said Thats all I had. And she kept insisting to give her more. I cant believe the nerve of these people. I paid for the service. A tip is NOT MANDATORY. If a person felt like the employee went above their service then its up to the customer to DECIDE if they want to give them more. Employees in this country have gone ridiculous in believing the customer is obligated to give more to supplement their low wages. If they dont like their wages they have the ability to work somewhere where its more to their liking.

The massage was good However, throughout the one hour massage, people would walk in the front door, and no one was at the reception, they kept telling hello, anyone here. Then people yelling in Chinese in the hallway. And ok, I can overlook these things, but when I went to pay, at the end of the massage, it was $60. I gave the lady who massaged me $100, and told her to keep $10 for tip. She was like only $10? Im hurting, etc. Like really? Im giving you a 17% tip, and youre complaining? Thats extremely rude, especially because I was really nice with her, I was at the end of a relaxing massage, I was in a good mood, then she had to completely ruin the experience. Made me feel so bad and confused, thats very unusual. Someone should let their employees know that when they receive a decent tip, they should just say thank you, and move on, not haggle over a bigger tip. This is not a restaurant where the servers main income is the tips, a 17% tip is exactly right.Im not going back

Just had an amazing massage here! Great pressure and communication about pressure throughout. Hot stones and towels. Worked out my sore muscles and was relaxing. Lovely!

My massage lady did not speak much English and never asked me how hard I would like the pressure to be. First thing in my massage she push so hard on my right side that my rib popped. This made the rest of my massage anything but relaxing due to the pain I was experiencing. I then was trying to tell her that I have an injury on my left foot so please just dont touch it. It took a good 5 minutes to get that point across. I had this done Sunday afternoon, its now Tuesday night and I am still in pain from that popped rib.Once I was turned over I was able to relax a bit, that is until the guy next to me started snoring like a pig. At least I know he had a good massage.The ppl e friendly and the price was reasonable. But personally I walked out feeling worse than when I walked in.

I called in advance asking for a neck and shoulder massage. She said they offered a 30 minute back massage which includes the neck and shoulder. Asked if I can get a longer one and she said it is not recommended as I can get injured having a longer massage of my neck and shoulders. Excellent service and I am glad they advise customers of the risks in doing certain massages.

Short version: Its like a slightly less enjoyable trigger point massage at a much lower price.For the price, its good. Its a Chinese reflexology massage place - if youre familiar, you know what youre in for: not the most relaxing massage, feels good most of the time, there are physically uncomfortable moments, the head rest is terrible (which is absolutely the standard for these places), but you always end up feeling better long term than with Swedish style/therapeutic massage. Trigger point massage has the same effect with a better experience and at a much higher price.

BEWARE!!! I went in for a foot massage. I told the gentleman that he could not touch my ankles as I have bone bruises that have not healed. Then he started massaging my ankles firmly and I had to scream in pain and stop him. Towards the end he started pounding on the bottom of my feet which radiated all the way up to my hips. I am older and at my age most people have either had knee replacement or hip replacement. There was no concern on his part for anything that I had had medically done. I called the store to try to talk to the receptionist and explain that some training was definitely in order. When I finished I asked if they understood what I said and he said not really in his very broken English. That is why I am writing this so that people will be aware!

Theyre my place I go to in Marina. Theyre affordable, they do fabulous work with finding problem areas, theyre almost always open, and you can get an appointment with them like almost at the drop of a hat. Theyre the best.Edit: they recently got a new place thats like 4 doors down from their last place and theyre still excellent. I still go here whenever Im in the area needing a massage

Hubby and myself got a couple massage. It was our first time to try Purity. A masseur attended to me while he got a masseuse. Both were exceptionally skilled. It was a true thorough deep tissue massage. Both knew how to work out the knots, and kept at it until we were putty. The hot rocks towards the end were a welcome surprise and felt so soothing. We’ve found our spot and will definitely be back.

The people here are very nice and mean well but they are not trained in anything that resembles massage therapy.On 11/24 i had a therapist how knew no English and and she beat the hell out of my neck and back.The old saying is so true, you get what you pay for.Maybe a foot massage but this place is no therapeutic massage business.I will stick to my chiropractor and acupuncture and paying for the real deal on massages.

The massage therapists are always consistent. The owner Jason is friendly. I don’t prefer a particular therapist. Although recently I had Sam and Jenny and they are both great. Extremely relaxing and works out the kinks.

Ive been there many times, for both walkin and by same day appointment. They are very accommodating and very quiet and nice. The deals are awesome. Going in for an hour for full body being only $45, with hot rock treatment as well, is one hell of a deal.

Best value in Monterey area for professional work and good prices. Just big enough a place to take walk ins without any problem.Whereas resort hotel spas around here probably have the best service but are very overpriced for tourists, Purity is hidden in small Marina just enough to avoid this problem.

They have no interest in walk-ins; they also have no interest in setting one up with an appointment so...I dont know who theyre massaging. =/ Im a local resident, was hoping to become a regular -- what a shame.
