Paula & Raifords Disco

Came here after crossing paths with the owner at a nearby restaurant. I stopped by around 10pm which was still pretty early so entry was free and there were only a few folks there. The staff was really nice. The music was a mix of old school and new school. I left a little after 1am and the ppl were still coming in. I could see this being one of my usual spots when visiting Memphis.

St patty’s day disco night! My favorite place to go and dance to some good music! From the funky decor to the disco floor , you will have a good time! There was a 20 dollar cash cover and they only did cash at the bar but they had an ATM in the building too. There’s two floors also.

This place is so much fun, but I “tipped” the DJ $20 to play Sweet Caroline and it never happened. Don’t fall for that.

I really enjoyed this place!! This was such a great vibe all around!! The music they played was 70s/some 80s/90s. It was a good mix of music. Really loved the setup in there!

Paula & Raifords Disco is an absolute blast for anyone in Memphis on Friday or Saturday night. The owner and staff are exceptional. They make sure all their customers have fun and feel safe at the nightclub. Perfect weekend hangout spot or to celebrate the biggest occasions.

Ok... So apparently this was the SPOT back in the day. Now. Youve got very rude and privileged services, not great for the money it requires. The staff are full of family who dont care about anything. Id say its a good memory lane but if your young, spend your money elsewhere.

Excelent place to dance, enjoy 3 VIP areas. Classic disco 80s- 80s type pop music.

A $30 cover charge is absolutely insane and covers what exactly? The DJ inside and security? The atmosphere was great but they don’t open until 10 and it doesn’t start popping until after 11. Thumbs down for not even being able to drink on the dance floor.

Went for the first time last night, the vibes are fun and it was a blast except when we got there my boyfriend had to turn over his prescription medication to the counter and told to retrieve them on our way out. Thought nothing of it except when he went to take his medications all but 2 pills were taken from the pain killer bottle. The other antibiotic bottles were not touched. Very sketchy set-up they have. Be cautious if they have to confiscate anything and tell you you’ll get them back, do yourself a favor & skip the overpriced cover and go somewhere else that’s safe.

Lived in Memphis for 3 years now and just got to experience this place. Omg it’s incredible! Cover is a little high but I understand that may be due to closing for the pandemic and opening back. Highly recommend. And drummers there’s a drum set on the dance floor you can play along with the music. So fun!

I was willing to dish out the cover charge because of the reviews; however, we left within an hour from boredom. The staff was very pleasant, but the crowd was not our style at all. Think rude, super-drunken frat boys & sorority girls...not a very diverse crowd. I also was disappointed in the music. For a disco, there was a surprising lack of disco played. I understand mixing it up a bit, but I would have expected a good portion to be older music. The place was also a bit too bright for a club. Once was enough for me.

The grooviest place around. Found this place on a whim. Ended up having the best night with my colleague and family. Great, fun, unique atmosphere. Recommend getting a table close to the dj/disco area. You won’t regret it!

Incredible place but you need to know what you’re getting in to. Bring lots of cash ($15 cover and cash only bar) and be prepared to stay there until late if you want to have fun. Be sure to brush up on your drumming before you show up because there is an open drum set on the dance floor for any drunk to hop on. If you know what you’re expecting then you’ll have a great time

Wildly steep cover and drink prices. And the dancing crowd was not living up to what we expected on a Friday night but maybe that’s on us. Cool space visually. Maybe another night would be better…

When I asked the bouncer how much the cover was, he sarcastically answered “it’s $80” and then only after told me it was actually $40. We promptly left. Sass is not needed from the bouncer. Also a $40 cover is ridiculous. This is Memphis. Will go spend my money at Tin Roof instead.

Is this the same place as the old Hollywood Raifords?? Its been years, but that place was a trip - was a house turned into a disco that only served 40oz beer from the kitchen window with the dining room as the dance floor. Im assuming they moved & upgraded to an actual club. If the same, even new location, I totally understand the ratings as either 5 star or 1 star....NOT for everyone.

Its a great place for music and dancing and he is by far a great DJ, but it is expensive. $15 to get in door, $10 - 32oz beers and they only take cash. It is loud, so make sure you ask for ear plugs. They claim to be open until 3:30am but pushes ppl out at 2:45. The armed guards with glocks on the dance floor makes sure you leave.

The most fun I have had in months! Went on a Friday night and came right back on Saturday night. Safe environment with great security. The DJ is amazing. If you are looking for a place to let loose and dance, this is the place!

Place looks like an episode of “Bar Rescue”...before its rescuedThe staff was incredibly rude for absolutely no reason. Felt like you were talking to customer service people that were trained to be angry and defensive right off the batAlso they charge a $20 cover charge that I’m sure they pocket. I refuse to ever give them that money again just based on principle alone

Well I’ve never been to this place so I can’t really say but something about it just makes me feel happy. This would be such a good place to go on your birthday if you’re from Arkansas specifically.

This is not really about the inside aspect of the Disco/club but about how they seriously need to have people outside the business to help maintain order of the overly drunk idiots and keep them from passing out and puking all over themselves and the entrance way of other business. We spent hours with the amazing Raven next door at Skull & Rose Tattoo getting special tattoos and when it was time to leave we had to litterly move people away from the door and walk thru vomit to leave. Pathetic! The owners need to show more respect than that to fellow business owners.

Love this place! I first went here in 2000. It is awesome!! I go every time I get to Memphis. I highly recommend this venue for an evening of fun. PC

Very nice laid back place to be for The Grown Folks of all Culture of people, very nice and respectful Staffs & Security, I Love going Here to Paula Raifords, I feel sooo relaxed everytime I go here, I always enjoy Myself and have a good time, and Yes I so Love the D.J. 😊👌💯 I Love it and yes I will most definitely will be back😊😊🍻🍸🍺🍷👍❤

Raiford’s is one of the most unique places. If you’re in Memphis, you have to visit Raiford’s. You won’t be let down. Ask for Keshia. She’s such an amazing bartender with fast service.

Really Memphis’ only place to go late and dance forever. Real hospitality and cold quarts make for an unforgettable night Downtown.

It was a very bright atmosphere. It is a CASH ONLY night club. The music is very loud but he DJ does play a good variety of music.

Phenomenal disco party. Open drum set, smoking and lighted dance floor. Wait was over 45 min and staff was (understandably) very curt.

If you want to dance and have a great f’n time, this is the place. Can’t be a wall fly in here. There’s no place in the city like it. If you come to memphis, you have to visit.

Way too much smoke , ridiculous cover charge, employees acted like they didnt want to be there , waited on my food forever and then when they brought it to me ,it wasnt even hot ! A PISS POOR PLACE !!!
