SO I FINALLY GOT THE CHANCE AND I DECIDED JUST IN CASE ITS AS GOOD AS EVERYONE SAY IT IS ILL GET A BACKUP PLATE.. NOW THERE IS A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN BREADING FISH AND FRYING IT AND SEASONING FISH AND FRYING IT.. SO WHEN I TELL YALL THIS FISH WAS EVERYTHING THEY SAID IT WAS AND MORE THE FISH WAS SEASONED SO RIGHT IT DIDNT MAKE ANY SENSE I WAS SO UPSET WITH MYSELF FOR NOT TRYING IT EARLIER AND NOT ONLY THAT THEY HAVE A WHOLE MENU FROM EGG ROLLS TO LAMB CHOPS.. THE PRICE WAS GREAT THE FOOD WAS GREAT AND FRESHLY COOKED. SO SHOUT OUT TO KITA AND CARL TWO OF MY FAVORITE PEOPLE ON THIS PLANET AND DONT TAKE MY WORD FOR ANY OF THIS GO CHECK IT OUT YOURSELF.. ♥️♥️♥️💯

Let me say this... I went to this beautiful place of business, the crew and I had ball at their karaoke last night. We shall come again!!! Thanks for the good vibes!

First off I was there to sing, and was treated as if I were there to beg them for a job. Secondly the grease that was used in the kitchen to fry my what was supposed to be fried hard fish was disgusting and old but not as disgusting as the owners wifes attitude was when I came thru the door. Third maybe had those things been BETTER it wouldve been ok but its expected when dealing with B.O.Bs. and I want to say the waitress and old boy who was the entertainment that night was the ONLY good thing that came outta that experience that particular night and I wouldve had a better experience as somebody who was supporting them had they been in a field down in Como Mississippi rather than at this place where the proprietor clearly doesnt even KNOW what they really have. Please dont make a legendary please a garbage can.OH and let me not forget that when I asked to get my money back they claimed they didnt do that (expected) and they made the guy why was the head entertainer that night pay for my being there on the back end bc they needed $20 smh at this point just close the doors bc I see that the owner its own worst enemy. I also read the prior reviews and see where you guys are extremely professional when responding to patrons🙄😒 Im sure that helps your business...SignedSomebody who will NEVER come backDo BETTER Black PEOPLE

I recently visited this establishment for the first time to enjoy a few NFL games and fellowship with my fan club. Prior to entering, I had a clear hard plastic NFL cup with orange juice. The security advised it was not allowed so I took the cup back to the car. Then another security personnel said I could bring in the NFL cup, it just needed to be empty. I return back to the car and when I got inside again, I was informed by another man standing with the two security guards confirming the cup, regardless of contents was not allowed. I took the cup bag. When I was finally inside, I located where my fan club was seated and I placed an order immediately for an item on their menu I was interested in trying. The server assigned to our area was extremely sweet. My total was a little under $18. I used a card to pay and no receipt was given. I then went to the bar as instructed by our server and purchased a drink. The young man was pleasant. I again paid with a card and received a receipt (attached to the review for reference). I could not imagine that would have been the extent of any pleasantries thereafter.About 45 minutes into my visit, I noticed that everyone around me had their orders including the people arriving after me (I was the first patron in my section to place a food order). I asked our server to inquire. She comes back stating the order had to be freshly prepared. Another 30 minutes passes by and I still do not have my order. At this point it is now time for me to leave and I went to the counter inquiring about the refund I asked the server to provide. It was here that I encountered the woman owner as she was speaking to another server about my issue overhearing her say, “we don’t give refunds. That’s just policy”. Keep in mind:I don’t see this policy posted anywhere.It’s not on the bottom of the drink receipt I was given (see photo for reference).As I approach the woman owner, I’ve begun to explain the situation about my ordering first. She calls the server over trying to verify the time I placed the order, again repeating no refunds are being issued. A man approached from the other side of the counter to tell me that it takes time make my order, that what I order had to be thawed out and this item is not widely ordered. Another server standing next to him then says and we opened at noon. The woman owner again repeats no refunds are issued. As I turn to leave, the food now arrives and I decline it (it’s now time for me to leave and I’m not eating 1.5 hours after I’ve ordered and having had a drink).It’s important to resolve all valid customer complaints and that resolution not be:Telling them of a policy not posted any place near where food is ordered.Equipping servers with wait times based on items ordered so that the customer can make an alternate option or be ok with the long wait.Finding fault with the customer in their order option instead of sharpening your process for your menu items which may include items not widely ordered and possibly revising the menu to accommodate the wait times that you can meet or even adding those words to the menu.Not even offering an apology in the matter created by this establishment. Or refusal of service to any customer you deem not cooperative with your business motto and practices.I’m an avid supporter of local businesses especially those whose owners look like me but this was an impressionable experience and not in a positive way. Sometimes first impressions are lasting and sometimes they can be recreated. I’m not sure of the case for either this time.

We had an amazing time the new owners are going to ensure that everyone enjoys themselves and all issues and all guests complaints and concerns will be rectified I will be bringing the new year in at The Soul Train

The place is big with a lot of potential but lacks organization. Last nights show started 2 hours late. My friends and I also waited an hour for a waitress to serve our table but no one stopped. It was packed so Im sure they were doing the best they could. Therefore I decided to place my own order at the counter. I waited 2 hours for the buzzer to go off and still didnt receive my food. I was disappointed but would give them a second try because I like the mature crowd they caters to.

Not really a club person but I decided to go attend a party for a friend it was nice live music, plenty of room at our table too relax, food was OK. Lots of security inside and outside so no worries when youre on the dance floor.

My sister and I, along with friends visited for the first time since it was aquired by the new owners. I must say it was a wonderful experience. The venue was beautiful. The live entertainment was wonderful! I thoroughly enjoyed the Dj. I danced all night! The owners were very present. They made sure to check on the tables to make sure everyone was having a great time! There was no trouble. The atmosphere was really nice. It was definitely a grown and sexy vibe. Im looking foward to taking my best friend for her birthday this weekend.

1st & foremost they, claim to have a dress code one being no sneakers to which ive no problem. However security picks & choose whomever he will apply the code to, also if youre gonna have a dress code these should assuredly apply to your staff make sure your security isnt bias toward anyone. Next this place has no central air it was hot in this place was told by, im assuming a regular that its always like this. Service stinks took wait staff over an hr to get to the table & not like it was just crowded & I understand why. Last; but truly not least the DJ was literally begging for tips to play a request needless to say, I will not be making anymore appearances @ the so called Soul Train Lounge Don Cornelius im sure is rolling over in his grave. Trust if anyone tell you this place is happening well obviously they know, not what they speak & to top it off they have the audacity to charge $15 again had no problem; with the cover just everything, I mentioned above management needs to do much, much better. Not sure if youll get this but; no it wasnt just as you say your staff or what may as I stated had no problem with the policy even before, I left to change my shoes your security was about; to let another patron in with sneakers on until he seen me standing there looking! As for, Don Cornelius not being associated with; the club well duh thats call being sarcastic period. When I arrived back it wasnt just your staff with sneakers on was people your security is buddy, buddy with; as for not being a restaurant then dont serve food or drinks as others has stated in other post so not organized & have the attitude youre doing your patrons a favor just cause youre open one say they were there in July burning up well my party was there in September & still burning up! Truly hope you adjust but; with your security & how this site is ran time will tell wish you the best & yeah charging your patrons a charge to bring their own personal bottle such class.

I thought this was a safe place they have gated parking, security but for some reason my car was broken into 8/2. The owners didnt offer to fix my window. My car wasnt the only one broken into that night.

Tooo hotI came Wednesday July 6, 2022. For the karaoke 🎤 and to celebrate my birthday on Saturday. So this was a birthday week celebration. I and my family ready enjoyed ourselves a very cozy and lots of space. The dj was funny and played great music durning the intermission. The only problem I had it was extremely hot. Don’t know if the air was on or not. Me and my family was sweating badly and each one of us was trying to find the fans to get some air. But that’s was disappointing because we really wanted to dance but other than that we had an awesome time

Service suck and we waited 3 hours for our food and the waiter had an attitude. I will never ever go back here and they are high for no reason and they don’t do refunds cause when we tried to get a refund they caught an attitude about that so basically they made you order or get something else

Last time going here! The club is nice, good dj, great atmosphere but the prices are absolutely horrific!!!!! I refuse to be charged for senary! They charged us 25 dollars to take a bottle of liquor in on top of a 15 dollar admission! Then the house drink prices were unreal! 13-16 dollars for small glasses! A set up was 11 dollars! Tf! Ice bucket was half full and the jucie was sooooo small maybe a 7oz! Then the air wasnt working good! My review my opinion this place is a money GUZZLER!!!!

It was really unorganized for the Tucka show. We stood in line for an hour or more. I paid for a VIP table and when the show started everyone ran to the stage and blocked us from enjoying what we thought was VIP . If I knew that paying general admission would give me the same experience as VIP then thats false advertising . That was my first time going to that venue and I was very disappointed .

Didnt get a chance to taste food but in south there really no bad soul food so 4 just cause

Nice place other than the useless security walking around with dracos thats to busy on the inside dancing and hanging out with women. While youre vehicles are getting vandalized.

Thanks to the owners of The Soul Train Lounge(Mr. Carl & Mrs. NaKita) for allowing me to set-up in V.I.P. for my daughter birthday event. The owners are so genuine and humble. God judges the heart. When your heart is right your blessing are unstoppable. May God continue to Bless Mr. Carl & Mrs. NaKita on their many accomplishments and success. My daughter had an awesome birthday party there.The Soul Train Lounge is so beautiful and the staff is awesome. Thank-you!!!! Thank-you!!!!

One of the best black owned entertainment clubs I ever been toThe owners greet you and make sure you’re having a good time .And the entertainment each and every week is out of this world.The Food is absolutely delicious,My husband and I love this place we feel so at home .If you haven’t been here you’re missing out

I attended the Willie Clayton show last night. This place was horrible. The womens bathrooms were not working properly. There was pea all over the floors. We were asked to not flush the toilets we was asked to use the menRestroom. It took 2 hrs to get a cup of ice from the bar. I will not be back. Willie was not good either

My husband and I really enjoyed the music and ambiance.. BYOB too! The owners made sure we were enjoying ourselves.. we was looking for a place to go to for MATURE adults and live music we found it! We’ll be back!

The establishment was nice. Security check at the door. B y o b. Set up for ice cups 7dollars. Wings expensive I believe you had to buy 25 pc for like 40d. Fries 3d. I didnt look at menu closely. Staff friendly. We bought VIP 55d and had a problem getting a table. All the good seats had been reserved. It looks like they overbooked vip. So vip is only a table with black table cover and a centerpiece you get nothing else. If u pay 10 or 25 more dollars to get vip reserved tables which will have a table with your name on it. So really vip is nothing but a closer seat with a bunch of people u share tables

Attempted to attend a “Much Anticipated” show on Friday, with Friends… we were told by the door attendant, and I quote, verbatim, “Y’all Don’t Fit the Crowd”🤷🏽‍♀️ So we left and patronized the “Caucasian lounge”, I guess we “matched” their crowd. I had a awesome time, this is a great atmosphere for grown folks to party, good music, great live bands, safe environment, security strictly enforced, & good food..The staff is pleasant and courteous especially the owners!!!!

Me n My Husband would like to say Thank You to the Soul Train Lounge Management and Staff.Our experience at the Soul Train Lounge for our 1st year Wedding Anniversary and Our Brother Birthday Party was everything and beyond.The club is very clean and spacious which I loved ,the security was tight,I loved it the band was awesome,the food was awesome,the DJ was awesome and the servers was cool as hell,them girls was on point and the Management which was Nikita and her Husband made sure everyone was enjoying there self,they this place decked out to the Cooks which they have that was on point man yall keep doing what yall doing.Every one that was in our group really enjoyed they selves and we will be back,this is our new hang out Soul Train Lounge and yes we enjoyed the Soul Train Lounge Saturday night,if you want a nice club, atmosphere, dining,LIVEBAND,cigar room this is the place to be

Had a great time. There but slightly understaffed. Food is ok servers need more help and need area assignments so that everybody can be served. VIP parking should be included with VIP ticket purchase.

Huge in the inside, atmosphere was nice. They have a live band great place to celebrate a birthday however the food is HIGH AS a giraffes a**. Eat before you go or after.

Club paradise is a great place to have some good entertainment, but they are short staff. When it comes to shows/concerts it get hectic, and they don’t have enough help, but they do the very best they can, but overall it is a great place to throw a party with your friends, have the live band playing , or you can reserve for a show.

My family and I we’re looking for a great place to get out and we found this Lounge.. omg it was everything from the time we arrived, it was secure with security, Customer Service was AMAZING, the music was on point, I now have somewhere to go in Memphis because the vibe was everything I needed

The show was awesome, but the VIP section was not what i was I was expecting in terms of service. I ended up going up to the bar after an hour of waiting on ice, food and soda, and standing in line until i got my order.

Love the Paradise Club. Atmoshere good. However, Wild Bill DOJ skills is questionable. He did a very bad job at the Millie Jackson/Tempees event at the Paradise Club. Old School ready to party.. cut good songs short and played what he wanted to hear not the customers. Plus he talked too much while playing songs...interupting the flow.

I’m not sure what was happening on Friday night. However the staff was VERY RUDE and constantly turning people away. It’s far too many people who are trying to support. This is not a good look at all. We were super excited to attend.

The establishment’s workers need to improve on their professionalism when working. Especially when so many people are trying to support. Was told I didn’t “fit the crowd”…wow….

Over all a great place attended Manhattan show......The sound could be better and louder more speaker are needed so u can hear if u where on the other side of the room wasnt loud loud enough

They hold up to 3500 - great service & food - Security is strictly enforced - live music (Bands) on Fri & Sat from 8p - 1:30a - also great for B-days - Reunions - Shows & etc.....

Truly a grown folks club! Tight security and friendly staff! DJ Wild Bill is a mood killer! Talks to much over the songs, shorten the songs and those annoying voice overs he plays during the song....smh

The bathroom was nasty, one of the stalls in the rbathroom didn’t a door on it, water all over the floor and no service from the waitress. The food was good.
