Allison is easily the nicest, most thorough, detail oriented, and creative barber I have worked with in my 40 years of getting haircuts. I am constantly changing styles she just follows with me anywhere I go. Most recently, I told her I did not know what to do and gave her free reign over my hair. It resulted in the best haircut I have had in years

If there was a sixth or seventh star I’d select that! My stylist, Allie, takes her time to ensure I have the best cut possible. So much attention to detail, which I appreciate as I do not have a lot of hair left 😆 but she treats me like I do. Always top notch service in a friendly atmosphere. Im so happy with my haircut from Allie! I get a pretty standard crew cut but I can be kind of picky with how I want the fade and Allie does a great job getting the look I want! She is super friendly and always makes me feel relaxed and welcome. I leave feeling refreshed and looking sharp.

Ive been going here for a few years. I recently starting using the new downtown Milford location. Right in the heart of Milford. Liz has been cutting my hair and she is great. Fantastic service in a nice environment. Highly recommended. If this location is more convenient for you, Id say give it a try.

Not a fan at all. The haircut I walked out with was mediocre. The woman who cut my hair was really nice, but I dont think they know what a high and tight is.I dont want a beer or a hot towel.... or a pool table, ..I just want a great haircut. I shouldve went to my regular barber and saved $20.Too expensive, and theyre pandering to male stereotypes.

Rachel did an astounding job. I can say that I truly have never had a cleaner cut in my life. Pleasantly surprised, and happy with the quality of the current staff. They are all very friendly and clearly enjoy their work. I look forward to returning again.

Ive been looking for a new barber ever since moving to a new city and Erika definitely won the job!

Been here twice. Thought Id give it another shot. Man do I regret it. The first one, did a decent job on cutting my hair and beard, BUT reeked of booze. She was hungover and admitted to it. 2nd person, today, I was allotted 45 min for my cut and trim again. Took her maybe 20 min, she rushed through it so fast. My beard line looks like a 2 year old did it or Stevie Wonder. IDK, I cant decide. She couldnt fade my beard either, although said she could. Also, her battery died mid swipe of my beard and pulled about 37 hairs out of my face. That was fun and kinky. She unsnapped my apron while trimming my beard and now Im back to work for another 5 hours itching the rest of the day. Did not offer a wash either. COOL! So there goes $50 with tip and now Im calling other places to fix my hair so it doesnt look like I just got electrocuted. Thanks. Just because they have a pool table doesnt make them a great place to get a cut. Consider elsewhere. BTW I shave my head. Its not difficult. Im laughing at myself and now Im ready for Halloween.

My hair looked very good after the year they haircut. And I received an unsolicited compliment on my hair from the first person I interacted with after Finishing my appointment! The person that gave me the compliment was not a complete stranger, but is someone who I dont know personally very well.

This was my first time getting my hair done somewhere that wasnt home. Saying I was nervous would be an understatement. But everyone there was so welcoming and made sure I felt comfortable and got the haircut I wanted, I feel good with how it was cut and the atmosphere was phenomenal. If youre going to get your hair cut for the first time in a while. Id recommend this place

April has been cutting my hair since 2008. At this point I am not sure I want to have anyone else do it. Due to moving I drive all the way from Lapeer. That in itself should give you an idea of just how good she is at what she does. The shop is always clean. She is always professional. The cut is always just how I like it. Add to that a beer and some pool and its more than worth the trip.

If you are looking for a salon that is up to date on current hairstyles, precision cuts, offer extra services, as well as at reasonable prices; Gentlemans grooming has you covered.I just started going to Gentlemans grooming a few months ago after my stylist (for most my life) transferred their salon location.Although I have only gotten my haircut by one stylist, each hair stylist does amazing work. I would feel comfortable allowing anyone of them the option to cut my hair.The atmosphere is great with a couple large flatscreen TVs to watch the latest sports event, a lounge area furnished with some recliner chairs and couches to relax, a pool table to entertain you while you wait (or just hangout), and a beverage station complete with coffee, water and possibly a beer or two. You wont be disappointed.

Absolutely fantastic experience, and Mistie is an amazing stylist. First place I have been to and not looked at like a deer in the headlights when saying what I want my hair cut to be. Thank you and I will definitely be recommending others and returning myself. This place will take over and make you forget about Janes place.

Pro: Cut looks ok all said and done.Con: Not close to the trim I requested. If I ask for nothing off the top, why is it cut 2-3 inches shorter after having to just even it out?! I specifically asked for only sides and back, and showed a picture of what Im looking for. Listen to your customers better.I think this barber would suit shorter styles fine but wouldnt go if you have longer hair.

Stopped in there last week and it was very cool! Great atmosphere, had the Michigan basketball game on and everyone was friendly... They offer everything from just a normal haircut to a scalp/neck massage, shampoo, straight razor shave, etc! If youre anywhere near the Milford area and havent checked it out yet youre missing out!

Ive been looking for a beard place for a while now. There’s not many in our area and they’re difficult to get in last minute. Pumped myself up enough to go try this place out. Jumped online, booked an appointment, and BAM! The place is awesome inside and makes you feel comfortable while you wait. The ladies were laughing and carrying on with everyone in their chairs- just a very cool atmosphere. My beard looks great and my wife couldn’t be happier that I don’t look like a vagrant anymore! Thank you! This will be my go-to as long as their doors stay open.Also, there was a puppy named Até that deserves a callout! She was so good and so damn cute!

I’ve been getting my hair cut by the owner, April, for several years. She’s fantastic. If you value a very consistent haircut like I do, in a great atmosphere where the time flies by, look no further. Could not recommend more highly!

Lots of waiting for the appointments. Waited a little over 15 minutes for one which ended up being a rushed haircut for one son and then had to be fixed. Then ran 22 min late starting on another appointment later that evening for the other son. Never apologized or even acknowledged the time. One haircut was way too short which stressed out my kid but luckily he’s confident. Hard to walk into school as a freshman with a bad haircut that’s completely out of the norm as far as length for you. Looked like a military hair cut. Not at all normal for him. At a previous appointment the hair dresser was leaving with purse in hand when we pulled up, saw us and turned around to go back into the building. Later found out she was running late to pick up her kid. We had a scheduled appointment which we arrived early for. So I didn’t understand why she would be leaving. This would be a last resort for us now.

You cant get a better haircut in Metro Detroit for the price than here at Gentlemens Grooming. April Schafranek is top notch, she takes her time and give you a true professional cut.The shop is clean and has a relaxed environment. I will continue to get my haircuts here!

Best place in the area for a man’s haircut. They do all the extra things right like shaving the back of your neck with a straight razor and using a warm towel. I actually look forward to getting a haircut it’s very relaxing not like great clips.

My son was not happy with his cut. Hair cut was uneven... it was disappointing. He will not be back. Then the hairdresser scoffed at him for not leaving a tip.
