She asked what parts of the body Id like to focus on and periodically checked in to make sure everything was 10/10. I was reaching some seriously deep levels of calm.Loved the ambiance here. I had a great deep tissue massage with Anna G. She greeted me right when I entered the spa and had a relaxed and positive energy. I wasn’t sure between the hot stones and cupping and she recommended the cupping which was a nice add on. She did a full body massage with focus on my upper back and neck. I was actually having some reduced range of motion and discomfort in my should prior to the massage and left with some improvement. I would recommend this service!

I received a gift certificate to Tula Spa and randomly booked with Erin. If I tell you how wonderful she is then Ill never be able to get on her calendar! Bit seriously, she is a lovely person and will chat or not, its up to you, she follows your lead. She will take time to assess your needs and is very responsive. She is highly skilled and her techniques are varied, just communicate with her as to what you want out of the massage. I had the best night sleep after seeing Erin, and now I make a point of visiting her once a month for the therapeutic benefits. The spa itself is clean and serene.

I recently visited the Tula Spa for a scalp massage. It was my first time here. Its located in a quiet and charming residential area. Street parking is very easy. The ambience inside the spa is very calming and comfortable. The staff are professional and accommodating. Chloe was very welcoming and made the overall experience very relaxing and comfortable. I would have given a full five stars if not for my session being cut short for some reason. The website advertises $60 for a 45-minute session. The massage lasted less than 30 minutes, which was really disappointing. Not the feeling I had hoped to walk out with when I made the appointment.

I’ve had two facials so far at Tula and they have been SO GOOD. The atmosphere is incredibly relaxing, the massage is amazing, and the products feel and smell wonderful. I feel like I walk out on another planet. Plus my skin looks fantastic!

Amazing spa! I have had a few back facials with Chloe and she gives the most relaxing and attentive service! I appreciate her thoroughness and she is so good at what she does! I always look forward to my time. I would highly recommend! :)

Liz was absolutely wonderful, I booked a therapeutic massage and feel great! She took care to hear my local concerns and incorporated them into the full body therapy. I couldn’t recommend Tula spa more, I wish I lived local to return frequently!

Had the most relaxing deep tissue massage by Erin. She took time to listen to me and make me feel comfortable before addressing specific issues for me. She worked some magic on my tight neck and shoulders! Tula is such a great little gem of a spa tucked into a cozy corner of South Minneapolis. The organic essential oils are heaven. Highly recommend!

Tula spa is a sweet little spot. My husband bought me a facial and a massage for my birthday. It’s quaint and charming with a shabby chic feel. They have a great selection of handcrafted products and gift items, as well as the higher-end luxury organic skincare options. My Glow facial with Chloe was sublime - I’d never had dermaplaning before and she carefully described the whole process from start to finish before we got going. The whole facial was so relaxing and my skin really did glow the next day, I confidently went to work with no makeup on. Between my services I was given a robe to change into and a bucket to carry my belongings from room to room. My massage with Sarah was a good deep tissue massage. It wasn’t the best massage I’ve ever had, but I appreciated the cupping which helped me feel some more softness in chronically tight back muscles. I just wish she would have done more to get under my shoulder blades where there’s real work to be done. Some suggestions would be to offer water/beverage after a service as I was very thirsty after being there almost 3 hours. Overall it was a great experience and I will absolutely be back.

I loved the space that Liz created. She started the massage by guiding me through some deep breaths and releasing what wasn’t serving me in that moment and it was so helpful for this stressed mom, who also has work on her phone to just let go and give myself permission to not think about anything outside of me for 90 minutes and enjoy every moment. I loved how moisturizing the massage was and how good all of the products smell. If you love fall smells you would love this massage. Treat yourself, you will not regret it!

Massage was pretty nice. We got a couples massage. She was very happy with her massage and I liked mine as well. I just wish the head massage was a little more pleasurable, too much focus on the top of the head and not very much on the sides or back. Also wish my thighs were massaged as they were left out but my other half had gotten hers massaged. Overall great and comfortable experience.

I will walk into Tula tense and exhausted and leave refreshed and renewed. Mikinzie is a wizard at facials! She is such a kind compassionate person that takes time to listen while creating a calm and beautiful space of self care. We all need a Mikinzie in our life!

My massage was wonderful, relaxing. Anna was very warm and welcoming. She listened to all my needs and addressed them. The only thing I think she overdid with oil on my hair, my hair was soaked in oil. Not sure if that’s what it was supposed to be or not. Not a big deal, I just washed it afterwards, but if I had to go somewhere I wouldn’t be able to go.

I love facials that include hands and head, which this did. Mikinzie allowed me to rest and enjoy. I greatly appreciated it. I will be going back.

Her deep tissue techniques will leave you feeling good as new! Ive gotten a couple facials from Natalie, she is wonderful. Her facials are very relaxing and will leave your skin glowing!Their cancellation policy is very fair and typical of most spas in the twin cities. The policy is stated very clearly when you book, it is also stated very clearly in all email confirmations, and they even give you a reminder of your appointment before the cancellation window.

6/12/22 UPDATE: Still loving Tula Spa! Ive now been getting waxes from Daisy for about a year or so. Daisy is amazing! Shes quick and I dont experience much pain - sometimes not at all! That partially depends on the frequency of my waxes, but I think Daisys technique and ability to keep clients at ease is also a credit to a waxing experience with minimal discomfort. Shes so friendly and easy to talk to, which makes for a great distraction and an all-around comfortable experience. Would highly recommend Daisy and Tula Spa!!ORIGINAL REVIEW: Im so happy I found Tula Spa! I first started going for bikini waxes - I had never had one before coming here and was a little nervous, but the two estheticians Ive seen (Danielle and Natalie) always make me feel comfortable. Ive also had AMAZING massages from Erika and Jessica. The piece of chocolate waiting for me after was the cherry on top. The atmosphere is also incredibly cozy and relaxing.

This was my first experience at Tula Spa. I got a 90 minute deep tissue massage with hot stones and foot reflexology. I also paid extra for a mini scalp massage. Overall, I had a positive experience. The added hot stones felt amazing. The space and rooms are relaxing. Tula Spa is very cute and worth trying.However, I do not think that the additional scalp massage was worth the extra payment so I would go without it next time. Also, the foot reflexology was really enjoyable but it felt more like a general foot massage. Ive had foot reflexology at traditional Chinese medicine clinics and unfortunately the service provider was not quite knowledgable to consider this reflexology. Again, this service is worth it for extra focus on the feet, but it is a foot massage. Lastly, I was disappointed that I was not offered water after my services. This is a typical practice and I was surprised that it is not part of their routine.

My facial with Mikinze was absolutely the best that I have ever had!

I went to Tula for the first time last night and it was perfect. The place is really cute and well decorated. I did the therapeutic deep tissue massage with hot stones and I feel like a whole new person. It had been awhile since I had a massage so I was in desperate need. I feel centered and able to move again. Sara is a great massage therapist who checked in when needed and is a master essential oil mixer. I definitely recommend checking out Tula Spa!

I had a 90 minute Welcome Massage with add on cupping and foot exfoliation. It was AMAZING. Sara did such a wonderful job making sure I was comfortable and pressure was right. It was such a relaxing experience, I have never had 90 minutes fly by so fast! Will definitely be back and requesting Sara again. Highly recommend.Oh and covid precautions were in place and taken seriously which I appreciated.

Daisy is amazing! She listens to what you need and applies it. Her facials make me feel like nothing is around me and it is so peaceful. When its done my face feels refreshed and bright! I look forward to the next appointment!

Just had a facial with Natalie and it was amazing. She is incredibly calming and from the moment and I laid on the table, I trusted her entirely with my skin. She didn’t rush through anything and made sure I got everything out of the appointment that I had wanted to. Also, all aspects of the space are beautiful. The waiting area is relaxing and inviting, and the treatment rooms are like a mini spa in of themselves. AND the products used are vegan/cruelty free! I can’t wait to go back!

I was given a phenomenal facial by Natalie. She was so kind and attentive to my skin concerns. It can be stressful to put your skincare in the hands of someone else, especially if you have sensitive skin. I knew Tula was the right place for me as soon as I walked in. The entire process was blissful and I asked for product recommendations which Natalie was happy to guide me through. So happy I found Tula!

Id really love to keep this place a secret but they are too good not to publicly praise them. These (for now only) ladies are welcoming, calming, and professional. Ive gotten a few massages from Erika and she is fantastic. This isnt your hotel spa experience, but if you are in to getting maintenance massages and self care, this is absolutely the place to call your home to come back to over and over again. Just had my premier facial experience with Natalie and it was 5+ stars. Shes so calm/soothing, and the massage was incredibly thorough and relaxing--just when I thought the facial was finished, she had another delicious smelling tonic/lotion/steam to apply to my face. Ill definitely be back!

I went to Tula Spa as a belated birthday present to pamper myself in early February. I had a 90 minute massage and a 60 minute facial (with Daisy) and both were amazing, meditative and left me feel refreshed! Daisy is a new esthetician at Tula yet she listened to my concerns, asked me about my skincare routine and came up with the best facial (she even managed to get a lot of clogged up gunk free from my pores that I’ve tried to remedy with in-store products over the years and failed). I’m definitely going back to Tula for regular self and skin care and I’d highly recommend booking an appointment here!

Hands down the BEST facial I have ever had. As a fellow esthetician, I have very high expectations and Tula is the first and only salon that has met them. It takes a very special person to perform a facial with intention, and Danielle did exactly that. 10/10 recommend to anyone looking to relax in a positively-charged environment.

Natalie is the best! She gives amazing facials and is so gentle and knowledgeable. She walks you through what she is doing step by step and is able to answer any questions you might have. She also is fantastic at eyebrow waxing; she is the only one I will allow to do my eyebrows now. If you are visiting Tula, make sure to make an appointment with Natalie!

I had a Brazilian wax with Danielle at 37 weeks pregnant. I was TERRIFIED that it was going to be so painful, as my previous waxes at other spas have all been a really unpleasant experience. I was SO impressed this time. Danielle made me feel super comfortable, she was knowledgeable with the products and the questions I had asked, she was skilled and efficient all while being gentle and calming. I had only minor discomfort and no lingering irritation. I drove from Wisconsin to see her and it was well worth the commute! The spa itself is GORGEOUS and I really felt welcomed walking in the door and taken care of for my entire stay! I cannot wait to go back for future services!!! If you are considering this service, I have searched high and low and this is by far the best!!!!

Ive had massages before but yesterday went to tula to have one, wanted to try deep tissue and cupping for the first time there and Kate was amazing. She was extremely professional and friendly. If a spot was tender I told her and she would then gently work on that spot. The decor is gorgeous in the waiting room and in the massage room. I will definitely be back next time Im in town and will recommend tula spa to all my friends and family.

I got my first ever facial here for my birthday and it was AMAZING. The facility was clean, warm, and welcoming. The staff knowledgeable and friendly. I got the back facial as well, which included light massage. Such a good value, I’ll be going back!

Had the MOST relaxing time! Got a 90 minute massage with hot stones, a scalp rub, and foot scrub as an add-on. I felt feeling bright and with no tension whatsoever anywhere in my body.I appreciated everything they’ve done in the COVID area to ensure the safety of not only their clients, but staff as well. I didn’t feel my experience was hindered at all, especially since they had a special mask when I was face down on the massage table, which was super nice and allowed me to not have a mask smushed against my face.I definitely plan to return, thank you for such a relaxing day!

I had a wonderful experience at Tula Spa after receiving a gift certificate for a massage from my sister! Liz was wonderful to work with, I felt very safe with the COVID safety measures they had in place, and the space is so beautiful and tranquil.

I haven’t had a facial treatment in a while since I have sensitive skin and didn’t really need one for I was on accutane for cystic acne . After being basically acne free for a year and a half , I needed to get a facial due to some mask-acne! Tula had the best rating and I decided to give it a try . And it was wonderful. The esthetician ( I’m sorry I’m bad with names !) was very professional AND attentive to my skin needs, skincare routines and everything else going on with my currently-angry-face 😅 I had Tula ( Welcome ) facial with high frequency and UV add-ons ! She was so good at customizing the facial treatment based on my skin too ! I’ll definitely go again !

GO HERE! Best place for skin spa services. Very well priced, flexible hours and scheduling, and lovely handmade products for sale. Carisa does such an amazing job and makes you feel very comfortable. The spa is basically a studio which is cozy, well-decorated, and offers some retail options. Prices are very reasonable. Scheduling is done on their website and is easy to use. I recommend Tula Spa to everyone I know and will continue to go for as long as possible. I am so glad I found this place!
