Stefanie contacted me after I left my review and offered me a complimentary massage or a facial. She sympathized greatly with me about my experience and seemed very eager to do what she could to correct things. I opted for the facial after thinking about it for several days. I contacted her about what I was looking for and she explained some options that would fit my needs. I was scheduled for a chemical peel with Alice the same day she got back to me and it was a really great experience. Alice was warm and welcoming and took the time to explain everything to me and asked many questions about what I wanted to achieve, the products that I currently use, and the problem areas I wanted to focus on. She tailored the experience based on my answers and throughout the process explained exactly what she was doing, how I was feeling, etc. All in all it was a great experience with Alice and I will definitely be returning to see her. Although my massage was not great, I am very happy with how the situation was handled by Stefanie. The facial was great and I cant say enough about how happy and comfortable I was with Alice!
The worst customer service including managers. I have few free massages that I cannot schedule because hours they offer work only for people that do not work, finally was able to schedule massages every Saturday at 9 am and 2 in a row were already canceled. I scheduled massages 2 month in advance and they keep cancelling but continue to charge you monthly fee, you accumulate free massages that you cant use. DO NOT SIGN UP WITH MASSAGE ENVY IN PLYMOUTH, MN! IT IS A TRAP!
Don’t do it! They never have appointments. Bre is their only good therapist, go to her if you go here. But she’s booked like 7 months out. I’ve been a member for 10+ years. I am having issues and mgmt refuses to call me back. They have cancelled on me constantly and once right at the time I came to my appointment. I missed an appt at Edina and they said they had to charge me or my therapist doesn’t get paid. Is that legal?! They can cancel on me, but I don’t even get one courtesy in 10 years!!! At Plymouth, my husband busted his massage therapist on their phone, taking pictures or what?. That person still works there! Gross!!
Businesses need to fully understand whoever they put in the front of their business can affect their business in a positive manner or negative manner. The front desk person was very dry, dull, no personality, not friendly, not welcoming. At least pretend to have some kind of customer service. I think businesses are just hiring people to fill in the spot, many people just don’t want to work. I wouldn’t recommend this place for massage. First impressions make a lot of difference.
They need to stop selling memberships since it’s impossible to get an appointment. I made 4-5 appointments 3 months out and the majority of them were cancelled. Either the therapists leave or they reduced their hours. When I joined over 10 years ago, I went every 2 weeks for 1.5 hour deep tissue massages. There’s no availability for 1.5 massages and even 1 hour massages after 5 weekdays or on weekends are tough to book. I’ve given up on trying to book based on pressure, I have to now take whatever is available. And I can’t cancel otherwise I’d lose all the prepaid massages I have accrued. Very frustrating….
I have had good experiences with the therapists but is really tough to get in for a massage…like months out. I am on their cancellation list, and has only worked out once where I could get in when they had a cancellation. I ended up cancelling my membership because I could only book one appointment every 2-3 months, but getting charged every month. I ended up just booking facials because that’s the only appointment they had available in the 2 months I had to use my sessions before they expired. That appointment was booked for 6 weeks and cancelled the day before, with the next appointment (for a facial) 3 weeks away. I was trying to reschedule with the front desk (in person), somebody walked out who wasn’t a member and the person helping literally stopped mid-sentence setting up my next appointment, walked around the desk, and started giving the membership sales pitch to the person who had just finished their massage. There were at least 3 other people standing there behind the desk, nobody offered to help me while I just stood there, so I left. Don’t even think they noticed. Not going to say it’s scammy, but kind of has that vibe where you pay for something and then really can’t use it. All that said, when I was able to get appointments, I was really happy with the therapists.
Was a paying member for many years, however the good therapists book up quickly and I ended up having to go to other locations often just to get an appointment bc MG is so busy, even though it was my home location. The facials are always great. Ended up canceling my membership to go to a chiro office with massage in house. Much easier to get appointments and consistent therapist was better for me.
Lisa was my massager for the day and I walked away very pleased with the service. I was personally looking for a more firm massage due to my work as a server and that is exactly what I received! She made sure to communicate next steps and also had frequent check ins. My target areas were met and I am looking forward to returning to this wonderful location to see Lisa again. 10/10 would recommend.
Alex (Director) cancelled all my appointments without my consent because I said being canceled three times in a row is unacceptable. Alex said it was fine because I was rescheduled which is not true. Having to wait another 2 weeks for your next regular appointment is not being rescheduled. I get massages every 2 weeks. This location is poorly managed and was constantly ruining my massage schedule. No one called me to inform me that my last appointment was moved to 30 minutes sooner, so I missed part of it. You can have an appointment for 4 months out and it be canceled last minute because a massage therapist puts in for vacation. Trying to get another appointment is near impossible because theyre short like a dozen massage therapists. I told them they shouldnt schedule so far out, and massage therapists should put time off in BEFORE booking a customers appointment. I also suggested giving customers set days/times monthly, every 2 weeks or what the customer wants. I expressed these concerns with Alex, MacKenzie (GM), and Sammy all of which in one way or another said thats how we do things here. They dont care about customer satisfaction and if you say youre going to contact corporate, they will just cancel you. I guess they feel like they have an endless supply of customers and can just delete the ones that complain. Alex also refused to let me talk to the owner or a regional manager. Alex laughed at me and said my corporate complaint will just bounce back to the Plymouth location and it will be pointless. Im still going to do a complaint so ME Corporate knows how poorly this location is run. Massage Envy is 5 stars in Florida. Its FAR from relaxing here. Who knew getting a massage every 2 weeks could be so stressful. This place needs new management that is MATURE (doesnt hang up on customers and can take constructive criticism), professional, and listens to its customers. Im going to upgrade myself to a better company. There are so many massage places that are more upscale and closer to my house.

Months ago I have booked with her and rebooked with her to only have my massage cancelled and moved because she no longer could do them.Fast forward to tonight…… I figured I would give her another chance for an upcoming massage as was just called to be notified she will not be able to keep my appointment.So if you want someone you can count on book with any body but her.Massage envy should end her contract she gives them a bad name. If this is was my business she would be gone.Not only is she creating unhappy customers but she is creating a lot of work for the massage envy staff.Please confirm when she is off the payroll.
My son had a cervical sprain and the sports massage therapist did wonders for him! He was able to recover quicker and is back to playing basketball! Professional, caring, listened to his needs and made him feel comfortable. Highly recommended! Not to mention, the receptionists are all so knowledgeable and friendly!
Been trying to cancel my membership, Im told only the manager is capable of doing it and she never seems to be working. Good luck using your membership! No times available that are convenient.
Updating from 2 stars to 4 because the manager finally got back to me about my experience with a very rude and unprofessional receptionist. That person no longer works there so it made me feel better about going back and giving it another shot. I am still disappointed that the therapist I really liked left to go somewhere else but I’ve got a couple prepaids to use up to try and find someone who might be as good. Finding a good massage therapist is like finding a new best friend as an out of state adult. Will update if I find someone I would highly recommend :)
I have a membership with massage envy. Last month I had to cancel at 8 AM the day of the massage because I was having a coughing attack. I was charged for the massage appointment because I did not cancel at 10 the previous night. Today they are charging me again for a missed appointment I had down for 1030 they sent me a math text message they said it was at 9 oclock I have it down as 1030 They are still going to charge me for this appointment I am so p***** off at massage envy now I have to go in and cancel my membership and they will discuss what happens possibly a fee fine again
My therapist (Tsia) is awesome. He always does an incredible job listening, and works hard to give amazing results. He was able to give my sore, tired body incredible relief with great attention to everything I asked for. He is efficient, kind, and skilled, and I am so grateful to have such a great massage therapist!
I am a member at Massage Envy in Plymouth, MN. This morning I awoke with a sore throat, so I thought I should probably not have my massage this afternoon. I reached out to the location and let them know I had a cold and that I should probably not come in. I asked if I could cancel. They cancelled my appointment and charged me 50 % of the cost. I ended up speaking with the director (I don’t remember her name) who held firm to charging me. I told her if they were going to charge me, I would happily come in for the session and she said they could not, since I already told her I had a cold. Her unwillingness to work with me regarding the situation is completely unacceptable. I could have gone in for my massage without saying a thing and potentially exposed my therapist but I did the responsible thing by attempting to cancel my appointment. I absolutely should NOT be charged for trying to keep the employees healthy and unexposed! You would think that post COVID they would do more to keep their employees safe by allowing same-day cancelations due to sickness. Their policy indicates that they dont care if their clients come in sick.
I actually got back to my car and looked at the time and it was 30 min for a 60 min massage with the girl.Think her name was Katie.There is a reason they takethe clocks out of the roomsBeen w this place 15 years.So many nightmaresCanceled a appt I couldnt make 3 days before and there policy is 24 hours. Then didnt take it off the schedule and it was 2 hours!They charged me for it.Manager said she cant afford to not pay her massage people.Why doesnt she take it off her check.She hires these employees that dont do there job and says we took 2 hours out of your account.Nothing we can do about it.Normal behavior for this company.
The masseuse had a hard time understanding my needs and what I was saying as to why I am here she was not friendly but more on the stern side which made me want to leave from the beginning. At the end of the session 90 min yet, of course was told to drink water and then said they were not allowed to give a glass of water due to Covid? NOT MY EXPERIENCE ANYWHERE ELSE in all of Minnesota! ( and I work in healthcare! )I was quite thirsty and light headed and felt thisnot a safe-way for me to drink ve home scrounging around to buy bottled water as well as other clients to have to leave in the same way. while most massage places encourageI hydration they at least could have offered a small plastic cup of water from the sink even! I-have been to many of these and WOULD. NOT RETURN HERE VERY AMATEUR INTERMS OF CUSTOMER SERVICE and felt that their concept of massage is more like a manicure rather than a helping healing experience blasé environment. Very disappointed and felt sad about the experience. Although I have been to a few Massage Envys based on this experience am questioning their expertise and understanding as to the purposes of massage which for some is part of their recovery from muscle over use which is true in my case, and not just a light pampering. I left feeling empty and in need if water too but 2 stars because I stuck it out hoping it would get better also as mild as it was something is better than nothing. I was able to stretch more at least. Very empty experience DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION! PS I never write reviews but had to in this case ( thats how bad it was!
My massage therapist Ashley was amazing! I have been going to Massage Envy for years and have found great therapists through suggestions from the front desk staff. Everyone is very professional and friendly. I called on Friday and was able to get in the next day due to a cancellation. I would highly recommend the Plymouth location to anyone.
This massage envy location is amazing! I have only amazing things to say about them. I’m always greeted with smiles at the front desk. They are always accommodating. Alice is hands down the best esthetician ever! I signed up for their 12 month program and it’s made my day every month to come here and relax. Thank you!
Wendy did a great job with my massage and she took the time to explain my specific issues. She also made recommendations for taking better care of my tight muscles and tendons.I had a second visit yesterday with Wendy and she was again fantastic. Personable, professional, and knowledgeable!Additionally, the front end staff were courteous and professional.
Great massage therapy choice. Very clean, quiet facility with good therapists. They have an excellent CV-19 protocol. Access is easy and prices are competitive.Downside: They are so busy it is very difficult to get a massage scheduled in less than a week.
My massage was with Katie. She was friendly and attentive to my specific needs, but an hour message ended up only being 40 mins. I don’t think this is what people expect when they pay for a 60 min massage. I see others expressing the same frustration and I don’t think this was anything unique to Katie but Massage envy needs to address this, else they lose my business forgoing forward.
I had gone into the Plymouth location, Lauren was working the front desk, if your company is striving for poor customer service, keep having her work the front desk. I have never experienced such rude behavior in my life. Her whole demeanor, how she reacted to my questions. I will never go back, all it takes is one bad experience to make your whole business go down. She should take some courses on what good customer service is and keep her facial expressions to herself. All I did was walk in to get a gift card from August, clearly to much work for her. Sad that massage envy hires non customer service focused employees.
The ambiance was nice and my therapist was niceas to why I gave the 2 stars but I wont be scheduling a Prenatal massage again with this therapist. I felt as though the therapist did not know what a Prenatal massage was. I thought about asking him to stop a few times. Honestly this massage was only comfortable in the beginning. So many things were wrong during my session. I felt as though I was instructing him.The heat was on and I had to tell him that it should have been turned off before I even got on the table. I also had to tell him face down was a no go. Last but not least he should learn better positioning and draping skills for a pregnancy massage. I was so wrapped up in the sheets and he was trying to tug and pull the sheets from under me. If he is going to continue with doing pregnancy massage maybe some more education should be involved.
Scott is by far the best Massage Therapist I have ever been to. He asks for and pays attention to my specific requests and concerns and continually updates his massage treatment to make sure that my needs are met. Outstanding quality and value!
Katie was amazing. I was very tight due to previous car accident, exercising without proper stretching and favoring a certain leg. She was able to get me feeling loose when I left and I still feel amazing the next day! 10/10 would recommend her and this location!
Where do I start? I guess by saying this review has NOTHING to do with the therapists at Massage Envy. Most have been pretty good to great. I want to be very clear about that.Several years ago I was talked into signing up for the membership. I expressed my concern that I wouldnt be able to get in often enough due to my unpredictable schedule. The person who sold me the membership told me not to worry because You can basically walk in and get a massage, scheduling isnt an issue. I then expressed concern over not using them in time. She then told me that You can bank the massages, and you can use them even if you cancel your membership. She also mentioned that I could gift any massages to friends and family. I was sold.Since then I have banked nearly 20 massages because I can rarely get in due to them being booked solid. I should point out that it was this way from day 1. When I attempted to cancel my membership I was informed that I would lose all of my banked massages. I tried to give some away, and was informed that I had to pay a $10 fee to gift any of the banked massages that I had already paid for. After arguing with the front desk to no avail, I walked out angry that I was basically forced to stay a paying member in order to not lose over $1200 worth of banked massages.After that I managed to book a massage at a different location some weeks later. I told the therapist about my frustration. She informed me that there was an option to just put my membership on hold for a fee of $10 per month. Still a bit of a rip since I was told that I didnt need to do anything, but much better than the ever increasing monthly fee.I put my account on hold for 6 months and was able to successfully book one massage during that time. I had to start paying the regular fee once again.A couple more fun details:- They say that their massages are 60 minutes. They are not. They are 50 minutes, which is evidenced by the timer on the iPad that the therapist brings into the room. Ten minutes may not seem like a big deal, but it is 17% of the service that they are selling. (This is not the end of the world, but it is just another dishonest tactic in a pile of dishonest tactics.)- Gifting massages to friends and family is not free, there is a $10 fee to do so.I decided a few weeks ago, in an effort to get rid of the banked massages that I had and finally cancel this membership, that I would start using at least one massage a week until they were gone, so I decided to start booking as much in advance as I could. I successfully was able to get two massages in consecutive weeks, and had booked a third consecutive week as of today...I went in for my appointment and was told that I was scheduled for the following Wednesday. Frustrated, I told the front desk worker that I had booked the appointment last week and had been booked one per week in an effort to use up my banked massages. She informed me that they had no available appointments during that time slot until Monday (which I booked). She told me that I must have misunderstood, to which I replied no, I booked it immediately after my last massage and asked for an appointment for the next week, the week of Labor Day. In fact, the scheduler and I looked at the calendar on my phone together to try to find an available time. She again told me that I must have misunderstood.What stands out is that at no point did she say Sorry for the misunderstanding or offer any alternative. None of the three people at the front desk showed any concern for my time or my efforts to be there. No one apologized for wasted time drive to and from the location. No one apologized for the affect it had on my schedule.This company is a joke. The business model is shady, they hide language in their contract that is contrary to what their people are selling, and they make promises they cant keep in an effort to get you stuck in a never ending loop of monthly subscription payments.I implore anyone considering joining Massage Envy to not make the mistake I did.
I booked an appointment about 3 weeks in advance (theyre super busy which is fine!). I did so over the phone and talked to a live person. I ended up getting a babysitter and everything, show up for my appointment and theres no appointment on their schedule. There was no apology. I get things happen and they offered to schedule me another appointment the next day. I told them they could put my name down but itd depend on if I could get a babysitter again - this was all at like 5pm. I called them as soon as they opened in the morning and let them know that I wasnt able to get a babysitter and find out later on that they still charged me their same day cancelation fee when theyre the ones that messed up in the 1st place!! My husband called and asked to speak to manager about the situation, we never got a call back. THIS IS THE 2ND TIME THAT IVE SCHEDULED AT THIS LOCATION ONLY TO HAVE THE APPOINTMENT LOST. DO NOT SCHEDULE HERE!!
I loved my facial so much and it was so relaxing. However I think I’d ask for a different person for my massage. Not that she did a horrible job she was just a very tiny handed person and it kinda felt like it was her first time giving one and there was very little to no communication. Maybe it’s not her fault and it’s me but I’d definitely get my massage first and facial last next time.
Shaniqua is amazing! I haven’t been to another masseuse since I met her. Her technique and pressure level meet my needs perfectly She listens to my concerns and at the end of the massage mentions any other tight areas she found. I would highly recommend her to anyone
I am very upset with the business practices of Massage Envy in Plymouth and a woman by the name of Katie said she was the manager when I told her about my issue and dilemma I am currently facing.. I had fraud on my account that was used for the automatic payment. Due to fraudulent charges on my account I had to deactivate the card that was used. I explained this to Katie but she did not seem to listen and told me I needed an updated card on the account. It is a little tough when my bank has not given me the new card yet. Meanwhile, my issue stems from the fact that I have 2 prepaid massages that have not been used and that are on my account. For some reason this so called manager told me I cannot use either of the massages that are already paid for until I give their business even more money and that will cause me to feel more cheated and I will become even more unsatisfied with their treatment of their members. Why is it that we cannot have services that are already paid for? Seems like a legality issue to me. Holding services I paid for hostage until I get my new card is not okay and is a complete joke. Where else can you not have something you have already paid for?? Why do these businesses think they can treat people so poorly. She (Katie) also refused to give me the managers or owners contact information, claiming that she was the manager!!?? That is a bit scary on its own. She has zero customer service or descalation skills and should NOT be in this roll.
Read the fine print before you sign up. I have 12 massages that I paid for during the pandemic. I was hoping to use them now that I am vaccinated, but unless you continue paying the monthly fee, you have to use all your massages within 60 days. That is extremely difficult to do if you are a full time working mom. Also, the gifting to others policy is strict. Ive tried talking to the managers about creating some flexibility, but it hasn’t gone well. As of now this location as over $500 from me that is not accessible to me on reasonable terms. Reasonable to me would mean I could use the services that I already paid for in a timing that works for my schedule without having to continue paying the monthly fee. It’s disappointing that this business didn’t recognize the need to be flexible during COVID. Very disappointing
I am a long-time customer of this Massage Envy location, and I love it! Everyone who works at the desk is very nice and very helpful. They really listen to find out what you are looking for, and recommend an appropriate massage therapist. Their therapists are really top-notch. Well trained, talented, and always very professional. The facility is clean, quiet, and comfortable, and I always love the relaxing music thats playing.
Today I saw Alex for a 60 minute massage. As noted in other reviews, 60 minutes really means 40-45 minutes. Hands down the absolute worst massage Ive ever received. I asked for medium pressure. What I got was more of a light tickle. There was maybe 10 minutes of actual pressure massaging. She spent 15 minutes massaging my right arm pit, which she insisted on. This was far from relaxing. The rest of the time I was bored and cold. The frequent scratches from jagged nails was an unpleasant addition to my massage. The $120 price tag that this experience came with is honestly shameful. Im disgusted by the service.
I would say I had a very average, or slightly below average massage here. The massage itself lacked pressure, even after prompting for more. The technique was interesting and felt like I was getting more of a skin treatment than a massage. The staff was very friendly and courteous. This was also my first time at massage envy and was given a “member” price for my first massage, which, if I would’ve known that to start with I probably would have booked a longer massage. Overall I won’t be going back for another massage there and wouldn’t recommend.
Wendy was amazing and a very good conversationalist. Im a talker and she didnt mind it at all. She asked me what areas I would like her to focus on and was very attentive to my needs as far as firmness. Best massage I had in a while and I really appreciated her communication with me on what I wanted. Felt so good that when I was laying face down I fell asleep. I apologized about it and she reassured me that it was normal. If you ever go to the massage envy on Plymouth give Wendy a try. She is amazing. I will be back to try out other massage therapist per her recommendation but she will 💯% be my go too, but she did let me know I should try other therapists and see if I can find 2 or 3 good ones so just in case I find a main one I like I have back ups if they cant get me in. Customer service was on point. I have no complaints about my experience and the front desk workers are great as well. Very informative on my membership my wife bought me. Ok Im done. Lol great place. Ok now Im done. Also I came in super tight and left feeling like a million bucks. Ok for real. Im done
Such a fabulous location. Very professional, clean, and relaxing. Everyone Ive met who works reception has been so wonderful, kind, and helpful. I havent had a bad masseuse in the few years Ive been coming here. But shoutout to Rachel who is my favorite (:10/10, 5 golden stars!

Katie at Plymouth Massage Envy is truly one of the most amazing, talented, compassionate and caring therapists I have ever met!!!! She truly listens and knows the body!! I am a frontline healthcare worker and could not do my job if it wasn’t for her care!!!
I have been a member for over 10 years. With my fitness regimen, my body requires deep tissue for recovery. Tsia always identifies the area requiring extra attention and I feel amazing after his massage. I highly recommend his services.
I’ve been a member at the Massage Envy in Plymouth for nearly a year now and I’ve really enjoyed the services. Whether you’re looking for a deep tissue, sports massage, or relaxation this location has top notch therapists that can take care of whatever needs may be.Management and staff are friendly, professional, and always willing to take the time to listen to my goals and suggest the right therapist for me.Also, I highly recommend the stretch service. As an active individual, nothing has done more for my mobility and muscle recovery than combining their one hour full body stretch session with a one hour massage. Courtney, my stretch therapist, was very knowledgeable and suggested a number of great at-home exercises to help me improve mobility.
I got a membership here and love it. When they were explaining it they made it totally clear that looking at a few different masseuse was the norm and that they could work with the pain I was experiencing. They definitely have, and going back to my chiro, he sees the difference too. I see Stefanie or Lindsay and both are amazing!
I now regularly see Wendy on a regular basis and feel pretty lucky because she knows her trade very well and has had loads of experience in personal training as well. It really helps when you have a sports injury or were just trying to get out of bed and hurt yourself. Ha.Her knowledge makes me feel confident in everything she approaches or offers. The Plymouth location runs better than most locations I have been to. Really happy I tried another location. Kudos to WENDY !!!
5 stars all the way!! Im no stranger top massage and chiropractic care. Lisa, my massage therapist is my new go to woman! I have so many back and other musculo-skeletal issues and in the first appointment she did absolute wonders for me!!! The front desk staff were all very helpful and fun to talk to as well!! Plus, their long hours and close proximity to my house makes the Plymouth location convenient as well!!! I will be going back...every month!
This is the best Massage Envy location I have been to, to date! The staff is warm and welcoming and the therapists that I have worked with are knowledgable, and responsive and have really helped a lot of the back pain I have historically experienced.Even the management has been incredibly accommodating as I have had a few last minute cancellations. I recommend this spot 10/10 times!
Ive been to a number of Massage Envys throughout the Twin Cities and this hands down has the worst customer service of any place I have ever been to. They charged me a late cancellation fee when I had a family emergency and had to fly out that night. They also will charge you if you call the morning of if you are sick and trying to be courteous so as not to get anyone else sick. I work for a business that also has a 24 hour cancellation policy (which I think is very important in an appointment based industry) but we are compassionate towards our clientele if there is something that is out of their control. Id definitely recommended looking at a different location if you are interested in going to a Massage Envy.
Ashley was AMAZING. She hit muscles I didn’t even knew existed. I felt completely rejuvenated after my massage. The front desk staff was very kind as well. They were informative about the membership which I declined at the time. They took no for an answer and didn’t push me. That’s what I value the most.

Alex was really concerned about my health. She understood my troubled areas and helped me feel better. She also gave me suggestions in ways I can help myself from home. This was the best massage experience I’ve ever had!
I was disappointed in the service I received at this location. I had trekked out on a day it was blizzarding for a massage I had booked a few days before over the phone, only to find out when I got there that I didnt have an appointment scheduled. The best they could do was fit me in for a massage later that week with a complementary foot scrub. Not a great first impression.When I did come in for my 1.5 hour massage, I was shorted by about 15 minutes. I understand the therapists need time to change the bedding and whatnot, but 15 minutes seems excessive. Thankfully I paid with a gift card so I wasnt out my own money, but I wont be recommending this location to others.
The massage was great and she listened to my needs. I was concerned that she seemed to possibly have a head cold as she was sniffing during our session. I would have felt safer if she wore a mask.
I love this Massage Envy and cannot say enough good things about it! The staff is very friendly, always professional, & my therapist, Ashley, is the best! I purchased a membership some time ago, as did my brother from St Louis, MO after visiting and having a massage here over the holidays. I have previously been a small business owner (different kind of business) and really appreciate the customer service that is provided at Massage Envy in Plymouth. Customer service is hard to come by at so many businesses these days! Thanks again for a relaxing & professional experience!
Beware of this location!! I cancelled my membership over 2 years ago and they still try to charge my bank every month. Repeated attempts to get them to stop haven’t worked. Talked to Lauren and Alexis who both claim to be the manager but got nowhere and rather than help me resolve the issue they’re rude and childish. Will be filing complaints with corporate, BBB, and the police. Update: Got in contact with the BBB and learned Massage Envy has an F rating. That tells you something.
Front desk extremely unfriendly. Manager is worse. Can not get an appointment for over 1 year out with good therapist. Want to offer other therapists.They called 15 minutes before a scheduled 2 hour massage to cancel. Refused to provide any reimbursement even though if I had cancelled I would have been charged for it.Stay away from this location.
Wonderful changes! Ever since the new ownership took over at this location, everything has been top notch. The management has been very helpful and courteous and the staff here are phenomenal. If you havent, you should DEFINITELY try the stretch therapy, I havent felt this good in a long time.Also, it was great to see that the owner has reinvested in this store by completely remodeling the space. The update looks fantastic and really reflects on the new positive culture that has taken over here!
I have been going here for the past year now and really enjoy it. I like deep tissue and athletic massage due to the sports I play, and many of the therapists are able to get me loosened up and feeling better. The staff has been great in terms of scheduling and fitting me in on short notice, and the facility (including the bathrooms) is clean and nice-looking. I couldnt recommend this ME location more!
I would rate the Plymouth Massage Envy as #1 in Poor Customer Service. All the massage therapists I experienced had fine skills, but this particular clinics unreasonable practices create more stress than their therapists can work out. Among my experiences: Required to put my membership on hold by coming into the clinic in-person (I was told I could not phone, email or fax the request). Total inflexibility to reschedule when I woke up ill on the day of my massage (I called several hours in advance of my appointment but was told Id lose that months hour anyway). Being misled on the timing of when my hours needed to be used after I canceled my membership. Clinic tried to retroactively bill me for months I had been on hold - thankfully the credit card company detected the fraud and denied the charges, and notified me of their attempt.If you are considering becoming a member here, I suggest you seek a different location.
As everyone knows it is hard to book any messages with any message envys. me & my wife had booked messages 2 moths out for Friday 6/17/2022, they called my wife last week & cancelled her message. I called on Wednesday to cancel mine if they couldnt find my wife a therapist for Friday, I was told I could call & cancel up until 10PM on Thursday & got a text from my wife a little after 5 PM Thursday to tell me they have an Opening @ the same time as Mine on Friday. thinking we were al good for Friday, My wife got a call Around 1:30 PM on Friday for Them to Cancel her Appointment, She said OK well then you can cancel My Husbands Appointment as well, She was told they would wave the Cancelation fees this time @ WHAT POINT IN TIME IS THE COSTOMER COMPINSATED WHEN MESSAGE ENVY REQUIRES 24 HOUR NOTICE BUT THEY CAN CALL AN HOUR BEFORE & CANCELON YOU
I was a member and canceled because the customer service is terrible. The manager is rude and the front desk staff clearly been trained by her. It sad when you can’t use your massages because the women I use is good and books out at least two month but you only have two months to use you massage. SMH
I have arthritis throughout my body and Ive had 4 major surgeries in the past 7 years. I try to remain as active as I can. Ive been working with Stephanie for almost 6 years and she literally keeps me going. She has helped me with everything from recovering from joint replacement to relaxing muscle strains. I dont know what I would do without her. She is amazing.
Joy was my massage therapist. I was rushed into a room to get on the table, then waited over 10 minutes for her to come in and start the session. My one hour Massage started at 1:15 and ended at 1:50. Never touched my left leg, she said we ran out of time and asked if i wanted to extend the massage to an hour and a half, seriously! Then when i was leaving they did a big sales pitch about becoming a massage member. I told the front desk lady about my experience, she did not even acknowledge my complaint? Glad it was only $39.00...
Horrible customer service. Booked an appointment with Mariah, and she called me back because she forgot to get my credit card info. Not once did she tell me about the 50% cancellation policy if I chose to cancel, after calling me back in the first place.I ended up cancelling because I was not feeling well, and the manager told me she was still charming me the 50%. I told her I can come in and get everyone sick if she wants, and she continued to tell me that I can be placed on hold for 30 minutes to see if they can re schedule my appointment.At the end of it all, the manager I believe, Becky or Becca told me that she takes care of her therapists first, before the customers and told me my whole story about being sick was fishy.Will never be booking an appointment with them. Take your business over to the Minnetonka location before you ever think about scheduling an appointment with the Plymouth location, unless you want to be uninformed about their policies, and have them take money from you because you are sick.
I have been going to Massage Envy since 2004. I have always had great therapists. Nhia has been my therapist for the last couple years. He listened to my issues. He knows what I need and always does a great job.
Scott was wonderful! I hope hes there when I book my next appointment. He was very communicative and focused right where I was needing him too. All around great experience.

As I got ready for my Massage today, The store (in Plymouth MN, off of vicksburg lane) called me 15 minutes before my appointment to inform me that my membership has expired and I would need to talk to the manager, Kyle, about it. I was very calmly and kindly talking to Kyle about this issue, and he decides that he isnt going to give the go ahead on my massage (that I paid for in advance) Because it was expired. I tried to explain to him, that his employees told me I would be able to use it on the 29th because it would be the very last day it was good for. He is trying to tell me that they were wrong and that using it today, The 29th, wouldnt be the case. He told me I could still go in and pay for the non-membership rate (another $80 on top of the $60 I ALREADY paid in advance). I let him know I wasnt going to do that, because I already paid the $60. I asked him to please remind his employees as to what their policy is so this doesnt happen in the future to someone else, and that because I was not given the correct information weeks ago that He should still honor the massage. He denied it and then informed me that since I cancelled 2 months ago, I shouldnt have had ANY time to use up my last 2 massages, and that that information was wrong as well. So my experience with Massage envy was terrible and I wouldnt recommend it to anyone. I truly believe that it is a scam and that is all it will ever be. They do not have good customer service, and they talk to their so called customers is down right degrading manner. So Thanks Kyle, for giving me this opportunity to tell everyone about your lovely business.

This location has called me twice now to schedule appointments “after my billing cycle” yet when I get out I’m charged for “an extra” massage out of cycle. No one can seem to explain or take accountability so I finally cancelled all appointments to go to a different location and only schedule one at a time.
Have only had good experiences at ME. Good therapists and always well-treated. Not all therapists are perfect so you shop around until you find one you like. Dont see what the big deal is for some of the reviewers. Ive been going there since it opened.
Alice was absolutely amazing. Not only did she communicate what she was doing every step of the facial, her technique was unreal. The best facial massage I’ve ever had.
Lindsay is amazing! She knows her stuff; shes intuitive, and will find the spots that need to be tended to. Shes friendly and outgoing, and makes me feel at ease. Cant beat this kind of an experience. :)
4 years ago a very new and very misinformed employee signed me up for a membership, while I was high on pain killers, under the false understanding that I could cancel anytime. When I attempted to cancel I was told I couldnt and that I was being forced to pay $65/mo for one year. Management did absolutely nothing to work with me outside of skipping payments every other month. At the time I was charged for 6 months before I changed my card number to avoid being charged. BUT once I tried to USE the massages, that I had PAID for I was told I was unable to use them without an active membership. I took the $400 loss and moved on. Today I woke up, 4 years and 2 different card numbers later, with a new charge. This is absolutely ridiculous. What a terrible company that would be so adamant to take advantage of customers who are hurting and vulnerable, refuse any type of customer service and then go after them AGAIN 4 years later even though I dont have access to the product that I already spent $400 on. What an absolute joke.
Alana is Amazing. Just had a 90 minute session. She had the correct amount of pressure and listened very well. Shes extremely nice and professional. 20/10!
The last 3 times I visited the Plymouth location, the massage therapist (all different ones) have shorted me of my time. 1 hour is truly 50 minutes but 1st massage was 44 minutes, 2nd massage, 38 minutes and 3rd massage 46 minutes. Im sorry, I look at my watch when they come in the door and when they leave. The massage therapist do not give you 50 minutes required. Ive addressed to management at each visit and no changes made. I WILL NEVER VISIT THIS LOCATION OR MASSAGE ENVY AGAIN! Too much money to pay and not getting the full required time.
If you like be treated like garbage this is the place for you! If I could give it a 0 I would. The management is horrible, they never do what they say they are going to do and never return phone calls. They do call you every month to let you know that you have a session available, that is probably the only positive I can say about the front end of this place. The massage therapists are O.K. but the front end of this place is terrible.. Run the other direction and I mean fast!

This location has the thinnest walls! I was getting a very nice massage but couldnt enjoy it because the client and therapist next door were having an hourlong conversation! I could hear nearly every word. Really, really frustrating. I wish my therapist had asked them to talk quieter. I wont be back to this location.
Bought a membership a little over a year ago. They short notice cancelled 2 appts and “lost” a 3rd appointment in the first 5 months. No customer service or what can we do to make this right. Yet, when I couldn’t get there due to weather, I was charged full amount. I will not be back - will be spending my money at businesses that understand there is no business without the customer, their repeat business and referrals.

I love this Massage Envy. Have been coming here for a few years. I signed up for their monthly member program after my first time. I have NEVER had a bad therapist. If you are looking for Physical Therapy type of massage services, see Greta! I felt so much better the next day. I usually go for trigger point release and deep muscle massage.Massages are to start, as an example for a 1 hour appt: at 5 mins after the hour and end 5 mins before the hour is up - you are getting 50 minutes. Not 60 of actual massage time. Those 5 mins give you time to get undressed & onto the table and then re-dressed & out to allow for linen changes for the next guest. This is all posted on-site.There has been change-over at the front desk over the last year or so - new faces are not uncommon. But that does not have any affect on the service you are getting from the therapists. Ditto if theres been any kind of management change-over. These are not the folks working on you. Many therapists have been here a long time. A favorite of mine (sorry, not giving out a name!) has been there for 2+ years. So Im not sure what all the grousing is about by other reviewers. This is a wonderful location & the staff is always friendly & helpful.

Ive been a customer for years, Ive had good experiences and terrible ones. The Plymouth location is by far the worst customer service Ive experienced. I recently called to turn on permissions for online account login, but was told its a new feature they hadnt been trained in on- the app was released well over a year ago. Also, the website has filler text on it. Its a new site, I was told they havent had time to update it yet. Then why would it be pushed live?Overall this sums up my experience with massage envy Plymouth. Unorganized, unprofessional and shady to work with. Dealing with them is anything but relaxing.

Massage envy is not an ethical business nor one that operates with any integrity. I have tried to talk to the ME over and over about putting my membership on hold during COVID and they would not talk to me until I stopped paying and then they promised that they would talk to me, but only if I paid for more months. The point of putting the membership on hold was that I was already building up a HUGE number of visits and I wanted to stop doing that. They said that if you dont continue paying then we will simply take the ones you have paid for and you will not have any right to those services either. CROOKS AND THIEVES. I am very concerned about COVID and simply dont want to put my life at risk. CROOKS and THIEVES
Lindsay did well to receive my back strains - Usually see someone else, so I will try a few other therapists to experience something different.

I called with in the grace period and said I did not want to do the membership, the girl said no problems, and you will not get charge a monthly fee. A month later, wont you know, I get charge a $64 monthly fee. I called to explain and the manager said she will get this refunded and I should see it come back to my account. Here I am a week later and I have yet to be refunded, I called yesterday, and was told a manager would call me back, never got called back, now I called today, same thing, Ill have a manager call you. No one could actually tell me that this was actually processed. $64 may not be a lot of money to you, but it is to me. Its really sad that it is taking this long to refund me. Dont bother advertising your company, Ill do it for you!

A Den of Thieves! My wife transferred a one hour massage from her account to me. Only after it was all over did they tell me that it would be $85!!!! They gave some technical reason for why I actually did not qualify for one of my wifes prepaid appointments. Avoid this place like the plaque, unless you like getting the bait and switch.

Never going back Massage Envy Doesnt Care! The so-called Therapist didnt seem to care at all about my needs as a client came in with a sucking her mouth and headphones on completely oblivious to what I was saying and she was obnoxious extremely unprofessional who wants to hear somebody suck juice spit and air to the back of their mouth while theyre getting a massage gross, you couldnt pay me enough to go back to that S**T whole the crap service there I could have gotten a better message from transgender hooker off of Craigslist this was one of the worst experience ever had never going there again!

Started a membership and within the timeframe called to cancel. Called 3 times and when into the store to cancel. By the last it was past the date for cancelling without fees. They gave us the round about so we would be outside the cancellation window. Asked to speak with a manager 3 times and no word. Told them to cancel. Next month another auto payment. Called and got the run around again. So called our bank and asked for a stop payment with fraudulent activities. Massage envy performed an unauthorized charge to a card from a cancelled member. Called the bank and had a new card issued to keep this from happening again. 8 months later with no charges and then a $700 charge to the new card!!!!! On a still cancelled membership. Calling the bank again. Do not ever go here!

The membership is kind of pricey, but is less expensive than going in without it. Makeisha is fantastic for deep tissue (it will hurt, but I can actually feel release of muscles that cause neck and back pain as well as headaches).

Its is a good place to get different kind of massages. Having membership helps here to get reduced pricing .. without membership its little expensive .. there are expert massuers and do good job .. it wont be for full 60 minutes it would be only for 45 minutes .. recently they added essential oils massage cream and hot cloth ..
