Massage Envy

I went recently to get a massage and while massage therapist was pleasant, her technique was very poor. She literally just rubbed me. I booked a deep tissue massage. It was a general tap that I could have gotten off of the street. I contacted the front desk because I did not want to make my complaint as the lobby was full and impact the therapist’s future clientele. I explained it to the lady at the front desk and she did not show any concern and only said that she would share my message once I asked about next steps. I have been a member for years. I called back twice and believe my calls are being screened because the front desk associate wasn’t answering last week and then displayed attitude when I asked to speak with a manager. Initially , I just wanted to be heard and for the therapist to receive formalized feedback because the therapist was very polite. I don’t believe the manager has gotten my message because I have not received a call back. This is very upsetting.

Friendly staff at the desk, peaceful environment, great massage targeting my IT band issue. I booked a second appointment right away before they booked up. Total chill the rest of the day. Great value!

This place was awesome! from walking in the door and feeling so welcomed to walking out and leaving so relaxed. Raphaela was so sweet and warm at the front desk. The wait was minimal. Lynn did such a good job with a full body massage. I have NEVER felt better. I was so satisfied and will definitley be back.

Britney is the best! A Stretch appointment can be a whole other experience, so if you have never had one, make an appointment! It involves gentle, guided stretching and can relieve any tension build up. It helps relieve stress in the joints too. Several tools are used and add an enriching experience. For extra money you can add on extra services (ex: aromatherapy) to further enhance your session. Brian is the best massage therapist along with Lexi! I have only had these two very professional, skilled, and expertly trained massage therapists, so I cant say anything about the others! However, I am sure they are all excellent as literally anyone who I have had a session with has been amazing. I appreciate the awesome service this location provides and always look forward to my appointments. Well done, keep up the amazing job!

Most recent experience (massage from Alice) was amazing

Recently I started to get a stretch session with Brittany. It has been the most impactful! I’ve had stiff shoulders for over 30’years. She has stretched and then released most of all my tension and scar tissue fro previous surgeries and injuries. She is amazing! One of the best experiences I have ever received!! I highly recommend Brittany for stretch.

Went on Christmas Eve with my daughter. We both had massages and facials. We both were very pleased with our people.

I’d like to share my amazing experience with Britney. I did for the first time a 60 minutes stretch session and it was so great. Much more relaxing than a lot of massage experiences.She is great, attentive and knowledgeable.

As always, I had an amazing massage from Brian G. I was completely relaxed when he finished.

This was a gift from my daughter, of which I have one more . There are things that could’ve been done different in retrospect but Sue E was very pleasant and attentive to my needs. I will likely request her for my next one that is currently not scheduled. I had planned to schedule a couples massage but will see what my next experience will be before I decide on this brand.

Jade is the BEST massage therapist and I am glad she is near my home location. She recommended the CBD for my sore neck and what I have left over that she gave me is continuing to help the work she did on me.

Great massage from Alice! Felt so good while I walked out!!

Maria did not offer to warm the lotion even though I complained about it being very cold. I spoke with the desk person about it afterward and she noted that Maria could have put the lotion in the microwave. Maria did a nice job on the massage but she could have asked more questions about pressure or what I needed as she worked her way along the massage. No fault of Maria, but the room was frigid and the lighting was screwed up and was flashing, so the experience was rather disrupted. She had to use a portable lamp to finish the massage. When one gets a massage calm is a nice feature.

Felt very safe in the environment and desperately needed a little self care!! UPDATE: since I have been returning more regularly, my sleep and fitness levels are greatly improved. Maria does an amazing job adjusting to what areas need special attention. As a horseback rider, I carry tension and fatigue differently than office workers or other kinds of sports. So so glad to have such a great ME nearby!

Brian is a great therapistHe provides a firm and focused massage. I like that addresses pain points, but doesnt overwork an area, moving on as part of the massage and letting an area recover before returning to it repeatedly until the knot or tightness is resolved.Brian is also good at discovering areas that need attention I wasnt aware of and relieving the pain.

Neat place and ambience is great but the service is not as good as can be expected cause i have been disappointed with the style of massage they do. U may cancel my membership cause i don’t think its worth the money i spend.

This massage envy is very COVID clean and I felt comfortable with the level of care of my therapist and the facility. The therapist (Sue) communicated very well to inquire what was needed and her massage was thorough and she modified when needed. I left very relaxed and centered. Thank you Sue and ME.

Sue is an excellent massage therapist . She communicates throughout the session and asks if you want different spots firmer or not, and if you don’t or don’t want certain areas done. She lets you know how much time is left so you can judge if you want to move on to a different area. She is always very professional.

Massage envy is my go to place for a little pampering and relaxation. Miho is amazing. I totally recommend her for both a great massage and an overall feeling that she really cares about you and how you feel.

Great place to get a massage. Part of a chain, but well run and maintained. You need to be a member to get good pricing, but fees are not bad at all. Have had multiple massage therapists and have been very impressed with them all. Front staff is very nice to deal with and place is keep very clean. If you love or need a good massage, definitely worth looking into.

Google asked me to review this place after only visiting the website and not the actual location in person LOL sorry website you only get one star is all I see is a picture of a desk and the shadow of some plan I cant even identify LOL maybe after I go and visit massage every Sunday in person I can leave an accurate and complimentary review for that which Id be happy to do. I never had a professional massage before. That is, I never had to pay for it LOL is there anybody out there in massage receipt world who can chime in and say its worth it the 75 bucks or the 90 bucks or the $150 or whatever it cost? I think that kind of money needs to be spent on necessity rather than luxury unless youve really really earned it chief. Its something laugh laugh something not too terribly deep inside that committed part of my brain says 99% of the people walking in for $99 a massage or 99% sure and unaware but what they do and what theyre about to receive should be a reward or a gift and not necessarily part of the routine of your arduous life LOL lessons skip if you can afford the fork over 100 bucks for a quick massage then arduous does not fit into your category or wheelhouse Im sorry to say LOL

Massage Envy offers customized massage at half the price of the fancy spas. Spas cucumber-infused sparkling water, fluffy bathrobes, and overhead rain showers dont make up for routine, run-of-the-mill massages that cost twice as much!Having said that, each Massage Envy location is a franchise, and only as good as the owner and manager make it. In cities with several, visit all of them. Some are better than others. Ive found good ones in each city but you might have to try a few before you find the right one with a therapist you love!

I had my first 2 hour session yesterday! Unbelievable! I am usually very tight doing massage therapy all week and Brian adjusted his pressure as I guided him. Sometimes I needed very deep digital work which was perfect. He spend over 1 hour on my rhomboids, erector spinae, levator scapulae and upper trapezius. I felt like a new woman. Thank you Brian!

Went in with a very sore back from muscle pain. Januez massaged my back and I left feeling so much better. The next day my back is still feeling great! Amazing massage, I would highly recommend Masaage Envy. I will definitely be going back especially for muscle pain.Front desk is very friendly and courteous too.

This Massage Envy isn’t my typical location. I was able to secure a last minute massage here. Check-in was a quick process. I liked how they sent me the Covid questions in advance via text. Miho was my therapist and she was ready for me the moment I walked to the back rooms. She listened to my needs prior to my massage. Miho was very good with her techniques and she was able to adjust the pressure to my liking. Prior to moving from body part to body part, she asked me if things were feeling good. I would definitely see Miho again.

I always have an excellent professional massage with Sue. I have been her client for years. That’s why I continue to come back and often come there twice in a month. Leona

Wish I was able to join a monthly membership it would have been less expensive than my into visit at $98. I inquired 3X and was only told to give a card to pay for into visit. After I paid I asked the price of a member 90 minutes and was told $83.. Disappointed ☹️Janusz was awesome 🤩

Very money hungry...felt like I was at a used car dealership. Masseuse was great, BUT front desk saleslady not so much. When I finished my massage she said how much cash did you bring for a tip?. Really? Thats personal. Also, she said rate your masseuse a 10 because Corporate likes that stuff. Will be trying a less Corporate and tip mongering location!

Last month I canceled my membership at Massage Envy Northbrook after the male massage therapist felt it was appropriate to mount me from behind while I was face down on the table and drive his crotch into my rear rear-end while he was massaging me.I tried to explain to the woman at the front desk why I was canceling my membership. She acted like she didnt care what I was telling her. She said she was pretty sure she had managed to cancel my membership but a manager would call me if there was a problem.This month theres another $60 charge on my credit card for an account that was supposed to be cancelled last month.No one is answering the phone or returning any of my calls. I could not be more disgusted with the poor customer service and the disgusting behavior of some of the massage therapists.There used to be a massage therapist at this location that not only did excellent work but was polite and professional as well. He is no longer at this location and the massage therapist that I was told would be a comprable experience was by no means on that level.

Brian is a top-notch therapist. I can always depend on him to give a four-star message. He is conscientious, skilled with his hands, prompt and organized, and excellent at responding to my questions and requests..

Session with Sue was therapeutic and helped me feel better. She was very responsive and attentive to client needs.

I have tried for three months now to cancel my service and yet again I have been charged. I was told last month that I was cancelled and yet again I see a charge. It has been THREE CHARGES NOW AND IM STILL BEING BILLED. I live an hour away and feel that driving there to sign papers is ridiculous in this day in age of technology. I never received emails even though they say they sent them. I had to call another facility to see if they could see on there end what was going on. Turns out that I was cancelled in their system and then the next day reactivated. Now Im packing up my three kids, driving over an hour away, to sign one maybe two pieces of paper, and trying to get my charges back to me. We shall see how that goes!

I had a chance to try couple different location of this chain and so far this one was the best. Very clean place , staff very professional and friendly. My massage therapist was Fay, she is very good. Highly recommend .

Janusz is AMAZING! I have to book months ahead to book with him, but its worth it! He knows what hes doing!

Late in starting and until I asked, they simply let me sit there 15 mins. Took me back at 2:15, started at 2:20 and ended at 3:35-do the math, not 90 mins. Then tell me it’s only 80 mins hands on...so why charge 90 minutes?

My massage therapist Sue E is professional, punctual and a very good listener. Excellent experience every time.
