Highly recommend! I’ve been coming here for over a year. I regularly get my waxing and massages here, and my experiences with both have been superb. Their staff is knowledgeable, considerate, and efficient. The space is chic and most importantly, clean. The front desk is professional and attentive. I can’t recommend this place enough. Their Noe Valley location is equally great!

I wrote a review a couple months ago about a poor lash lift experience. Shortly after, Cocoon Day Spa reached out to me wanting to make things right, and they did! They offered to refund my service and to allow me a better experience at their day spa by offering a complimentary facial. They were so understanding of my experience. I greatly appreciated their response to my review and how much effort they put into reaching out to me.My second experience was absolutely amazing, despite getting a different service. The facial was so relaxing and my esthetician was very knowledgable and walked me through the entire process as she went. I will definitely be returning soon for the same facial.Overall, AMAZING customer service.

So I came in today to get a lash lift. I’d like to think my lashes are long and have a good curl, so instead of getting extensions, my friend suggested I get a lash lift. I’ve never gotten one done before so I thought I’d give it a try.I wish I didn’t.The people were so nice, don’t get me wrong. The place was beautiful and my technician was so friendly and honest about my lashes. But my experience was not what I expected and I was not happy with the result.First, the second the solution was put on my lashes, I felt a burning sensation in my eyes and felt my eyes start to swell with tears. I wanted to say something but I didn’t know if that was normal or not. As she continued, it continued to burn. At the end, she asked me to open my eyes BUT I COULD NOT. I tried but it burned more. She wiped around my eyes until it was dry. I was finally able to open them. She gave me a mirror to see the result and for a second, I didn’t see a difference at all. I thought maybe if I sit up (since I was lying down) I’d see a lift, but it was ever so slight. I spent 5 months using a lash serum to grow my lashes so I expected to see a drastic difference, but I was disappointed. I get a better lift using my eyelash curler. I’m so sad because I spent over $100 for this service only to be let down.I posted on my social media and people were commenting on it telling me there’s no difference and that it shouldn’t burn. I wish I can get my money back but what’s done is done. I should’ve said something at the spa but it was my first time and thought maybe this is how it’s supposed to look.I’m super sad about this experience, and don’t think I’ll be getting a lash lift ever again.

I felt lucky enough to find a groupon back massage which meant I could treat myself after having my baby. The spa itself is absolutely gorgeous! It felt like a luxurious treat.But the massage was intense. I had been having back pain so kept telling myself that maybe this would help it afterwards. I’d asked for light pressure so I thought maybe I was just feeling it more because of the soreness or tiredness of a newborn. But my back was very painful for 4/5 days afterwards. It felt like it was bruised.

I’ve been coming to Cocoon for waxing, occasionally brow and lash tinting, for many years, first in San Francisco and then for about 5 years to the Rockridge location. Always excellent service, job well done. It’s very spa-like in there, so clean, quiet, relaxing music playing, etc. I pretty much never even choose a specific person when I’m booking my service because I’ve never had a bad experience with anyone there.

I’ve always had a positive experience at this place. They have lots of availability for sugaring services. The staff is always friendly and check in about my experience and if I have any questions about the products on display.

Nice and clean place. Got deep tissue massage from Delfina and facial from Vivien. They were both great.Getting an appointment when i wanted wasnt an issue.The front desk is close to the rooms so you can hear the loud conversations there. And their services are on the pricier side.

I got a spray tan before my brothers wedding, the staff was very professional and the tan looked fantastic. Highly recommend!

Great customer service at front desk! She was fantastic! Good massage experience. I am happy I used Groupon, which gave great value! I think without it, I would have found the aromatherapy massage a little overpriced. She sorta gently played with some areas but didnt really get IN there. Kinda rub-by (even with more pressure requested) so I felt a little teased lmao but maybe deep tissue wouldve been a better choice or a longer duration-- anyway cute amenities and location and polite staff.

This was the most luxurious spa experience my sister and I have ever had! I loved it! We got a massage and facials. The women were professional and informative. They even had black female professionals to administer our treatment! That is so rare!The only downside is that the robes they have are small. It would be nice to have a robe that I can use.Definitely worth the price. You pay for quality when you come here.March 2023 Update:I got a Brazilian and a vagacial and it was wonderful. The service is still excellent.

A friend referred me to Cocoon Day Spa in Oakland. I made an appointment for a 60min deep relaxation massage. Booking the massage online was simple and painless. The business sent me a text reminder before my appointment, which was very helpful! When I arrived I was greeted by the receptionist and promptly lead to the massage room. Delfina, my masseuse, was friendly and provided a relaxing massage that helped loosen up some tension in my neck, back and shoulders. I was so happy with my experience that I signed up for the monthly massage subscription afterward. Can’t wait to go back next month! ☺️

Absolutely amazing service and the coolest Covid-safe set up I have seen yet! They set up these beautiful outdoor tents, where the treatments are relaxing but still feel private. I felt like I was at a beach spa in Tulum. I had Tiffani, she was fantastic— and I am probably the most finicky person about my brows. She’s highly skilled, was sanitizing EVERYTHING constantly, made me feel so safe. My eyebrows remained thick (which almost all estheticians seem to mess up) and beautiful, and my lashes are perfect! Highly recommend !!

They are an amazing salon but you have to find which of the girls you like best. You can tip with Venmo! When you go in they offer refreshments and sweets! There is numbing spray, towel, and wet wipes in the room! And they ask you to breath in and out! Most of the people who work there are friendly, accommodating, and very nice! I always have a good conversation that distracts me from the pain. They also offer online discontinued packages that makes life very easy. Though one time, a girl was not practicing the proper hygiene routine. She was double dipping the stick and reusing the same clothe over and over again. She also didn’t provide a towel to me when I first went into the room. I just made sure I don’t get an appointment with her again.

Booked a Brazilian wax with Asjia. The wax came out good but her demeanor was cold and unfriendly. She wore headphones the whole time and it was like pulling nails trying to get her to talk to me. I was very uncomfortable and happy when it was over. Next time, I will book my service with Jennifer who gave my friend outstanding service.

Decided to check out this new spa after driving by a few times. The place is brand new but the front desk person said they expanded after being across the street for 10 years. Came here with my wife last weekend and we both got the Hydrafacial. Ive only gotten 2 facials before this, and this was by far the best facial Ive ever had. It also included a neck and foot massage which was a very nice touch. My wife was also very happy with her facial. We both plan on coming back in a few weeks.

I was looking for a place to get a facial since my long time Esthetician closed down last year. I got the Signature Hydrafacial and I was not disappointed. My skin is glowing and brighter! Much needed from wearing my mask all day at work. Oh and entire space is hip and trendy. The rooms were spotless too which made me feel better about getting my service done. The person who gave me my facial wore a mask and a face shield making me feel so safe. Ill be back

Got an aromatherapy massage there and it was so painful I almost slapped the massage therapists hand away from me and told her not to touch me. She just dug into my neck in the same 2 spots for like 5 minutes in a horribly painful way and I should’ve told her to stop but for some reason I trusted her and thought it would be good for me but I should’ve trusted my gut. Now it’s the next day and my neck is so stiff I can barely move. What was she thinking?! I had assumed they were professionals here, my bad.

I was taken in for my appointment a full 30 minutes late because the technicians previous client was late. There are clear instructions on the website and confirmation email to arrive early and that appointments may be canceled for arriving even a few minutes late. I arrived on time a few minutes early and the previous client was taken in at my appointment time. I have 6 services booked over the span of 2 days and have started it off on a very stressful note. It really sucks to come in for a day of relaxation and watch everyone else taken in for their services right away while you just sit there waiting and waiting.

A couple of weeks ago I went to Cocoon Bare for an aromatherapy massage. My massage therapist was Delfina and she was THE BEST: she is so skilled, respectful, and kind. It was definitely one of the best massages I’ve had in my 36 years! Definitely booking again for next week!

I got a facial yesterday and I had the most wonderful experience at Cocoon. Theyve moved across the street from their previous location and its completely different! Cocoon has created a luxurious space thats welcoming and unpretentious. I got the Dermaplaning facial and it removed all the dirt and built up dead skin on my face. My face feels and looks amazing. Ill be back for a brow lamination in a few weeks!

I love this place! Everyone is so friendly and I have been so impressed with all the services. They do a great job for waxing, lash lifts and the prenatal massage I got was the best thing ever. Just a wonderful spot to get pampered.

I had the best waxing experience today - the spa was super clean, and the place is beautiful. The person who waxed me was patient, gentle and very thorough - I believe her name was Asjia. I’ll definitely be back.

The welcoming crew was not very nice. When I called to make a reservation I could immediately notice the person helping me wasnt very willing or happy to do it at all. I belive the same person was there to welcome me and had a very rude tone when talking to me, no eye contact, no cusfomer service skills, etc. On the other hand, the girl who did my waxing was really nice and made me feel comfortable. We had a nice conversation during the session, but the service was very painful. She did her best, but definetely not the same as other places Ive been where the waxing was prerty much painless. Maybe jusf need more experience. I didnt feel like coming back for my two other Groupon sessions. Instead, I talked to Groupon and requested a refund.

They say their time is important but I made an appointment at two that was supposed to be 15 minutes long. I got into the tannin room 10 minutes late. The tan took half an hour. Only upper body. And THEN it took another 40 minutes to let it dry. They sent me out with it still wet and now its coming off

I went to the Rockridge location and Danielle did the brow lamination, she did an amazing job, I highly recommend her!! I loved my new eyebrow, I loved being able to give me another fashion look when I need to wear mask.

I had a good experience initially and brows looked great, but when I went home I noticed the skin beneath one of my brows was red and irritated. I called and they were very responsive but ultimately did nothing to compensate me because I booked through ClassPass. The next day a scab formed. 2 months later, I still have a light scar.

Everything was seamless, professional, and enjoyable. I just didnt have a great massage. And at this price and without spa amenities, I shouldve. But I would give it another try with a different masseuse.

Overall: this location is a world away from the location in SF. The SF location has a nice ambience, great service and friendly employees. The location in SF feels like a real upscale salon and spa. So after visiting the SF location I was excited to check out their rockridge branch.I have tried the rockridge branch twice. What struck me immediately upon walking in is that they always seem surprised to see you which... Is some one keeping track of appointments or what? You dont get that warm welcome you do in SF.People come to places like this to be pampered. The SF location does a nice job of this but the rockridge location falls terribly short of this. They churn you in and out quickly-- you get mediocre service without the spa pampering that should come at this price point (and does in SF).They are opening a new location soon do maybe it will get better. But otherwise the brand inconsistency btw the SF and rockridge locations is huge and should be addressed.

Stay away! Inept and rude staff. Unprofessional and dismissive attitude. I cant believe they are affiliated with the San Francisco branch. Noone answers the phone and they gossip at front desk in front of customers in the waiting area. Avoid at all costs.

Jasmine is awesome! I feel like a human being again. Brazilian was everything and I am cute and clean, just like I like. Lovely place. Looking forward to making it my jam!

LJ IS THE BEST!! Choose her when you sign up!Got a groupon for 3 Brazilians. The rooms arent as spacious as some other places, but they were clean. The first two services were meh but my last service with LJ was by far the best. Shes really friendly and was VERY thorough with her work.

Cocoon Bare has really expanded their services and I like that they offer choice of champagne or water upon arrival. However, the staff seems really young and you can hear multiple conversations going on during your service.

I love this place. Dominique is the absolute best. She makes you feel extremely comfortable, and is always a pleasure. Its always very clean and youre always greeted with a smile.

Fastest wax service ever! I was in and out faster then a drive though Starbucks.The place was clean.The waxist was ready and made me feel comfortable.Perf!

Pretty pricey but SO much better than European wax center. They even offer champagne and chocolates to compliment and complete the experience.

LJ is awesome. She is funny and patient. She keep you distracted eith conversation and is very patient and helpful with pain management....and did I mention numbing spray AND champagne!

These girls make what could be a painful and awkward experience totally pain free. Now no waxing is completely pain free but they make the experience less so by being so professional and friendly.

They dont appear to have a receptionist so its impossible to reach them. I finally scheduled an appointment when I realized that you could book one online, but when I showed up the store was closed.

The ladies were very attentive and professional. The wax they use stained my skin around the hair.
