The bar does have a leather feel and the drinks are strong. They advertise drink specials but the drinks can be found for a lot less at the bars on Arenas. I now avoid the Friday night T- Dance promoted by a 70 old nearly naked women mooching all the guys in the bar. The food truck on weekends in the back is a nice touch decent food and reasonably priced
CASH ONLY! The bartenders are a nightmare and will give you the wrong change back so watch your transactions. Very shady that it’s cash only. Entitled, inefficient and nasty staff. There are definitely people working there that should not be in customer service. Bring a raincoat for the patio misters.
After giving this place multiple chances to get it right i will definitely never be going back after the best staff that this place ever had was let go. The owner advertising the bartenders as “HOT” is laughable. Drink prices are higher than anywhere else is town and you continually get a different price every time you order. There is obviously a major lack of management and it shows. Painfully slow service, and a generally bad attitude from the current night time bar tenders. I will be discouraging anyone I know in town from going back.
The worst possible thing a bar can be is forgettable. This place was completely forgettable. They set up a party with great DJs. I have seen them play other venues and came for them. But they were on a patio that looked like it was designed by Target and their music was SO quiet. Turns out it was management making them stay silent. The bar staff is awesome. But everything else about this place is completely unremarkable. Ill be checking out Dry Heat at other venues. The Tool Shed seems to be named for the tool of a manager.
The staff can be a bit rude at times, but Brad stood out as a genuinely nice and attentive bartender. One thing to note about the Tool Shed is that they do not serve food. However, they do regularly bring in a food truck or vendor, so youll still have options for a bite to eat while enjoying your drinks. One downside of the Tool Shed is that it is cash only, which can be inconvenient. They do have an ATM on site, so you can easily withdraw cash if needed. The highlight of the Tool Shed is undoubtedly the patio. It offers a fantastic atmosphere, perfect for relaxing and enjoying your drinks. However, its worth mentioning that the inside of the bar is small and can get cramped, especially during Thursday underwear nights.
Your bar is cute, but it would be even cuter is the three bartenders you have working actually took care of customers sitting at the bar instead of chatting and not paying attention. Fail.
Excellent bagels! Popular place, get there early but always worth the wait!
Very Friendly bar, great drinks and surprisingly serves the best food in town! Especially late night! Came to pick up a friend but then saw their food truck so I ended up ordering food and staying for drinks. What an amazing soul the cook is! Made my order quick and got me some extras. Will definitely come again for those sliders and tots!
Don’t go there if you want to be verbally abused by the bartender who was on duty Sunday 28th April very rude and made to feel like an inconvenience and being yelled at will not make me want to return! Management you need to have a word with this guy, I wil not be returning
My favorite “dive bar” since they opened in the early 90’s. There almost every evening for my usual beverages. The staff are the best, and unlike most bars, this one has very little (if any) attitude. As Zelda Rubenstein said it best, “All are welcome. All are welcome.”
Really like used to go here until after tonight I get it was underwear night and I was really excited to go but when I got there, it was crazy and that’s fine but when I got to the bar and I asked for a margarita, he told me he couldn’t serve it to me because it was too busy but all other bartenders were giving mixed drinks like that to all the other people. The older guy with the white beard literally told me I couldn’t have a margarita and give it to me later. The problem with that is I didn’t want it I came to get that and it’s a bar. If it’s gonna be busy and you can’t handle that then you should not be in this industry. I don’t know who the owner is, but I came out here for pride, and they already started off with a great bad review for you guys
The bartender that has a face like Peter Dinklage completely ruins the vibe here, rude, not friendly whatsoever. The other bartenders are totally fine and the Eagle like vibe is there; but leaving a 1 star because this bartender brings this place to the ground. Has no business being the face of the bar. Would love to change this review once he’s gone.
This bar was the saving grace to my Labor Day weekend. I had a great time and for my first trip to PS this became my go to place. The staff were friendly and made great drinks. The clientele were personable and made everyone feel welcome. The space inside isnt large but the packages on the dancers were! The outdoor patio was massive (see again dancer packages.)It was hotter than a hickory smoked sausage that weekend though so I had to be careful mixing the alcohol with the dry heat. I failed! There are different guidelines set for the indoor and outdoor areas so ask the bartender before you embarrass yourself like I did.
We visited the evening of 6/18/23. The inside bartender (skinny brown-haired guy) was very off-putting with my partner and I from the beginning. When our straight family came to join us for drinks, he insisted on seeing IDs when he had served us without asking for ID. Was very rude and condescending. When we decided to leave he angrily snatched my partners drink from his hand and lectured us instead of simply reminding us to leave the alcohol inside.Ive been to many different gay BARS all over the country, but have not EVER been treated as poorly as we were here. I will definitely be back to PS. But I would not recommend ever giving this establishment your business. Some people were treated well. But as visitors we were treated as an inconvenience and an annoyance. NOT a good business model IMHO.
Staff, depends on who you get and or what mood they are in, can be very rude. $2 Sunday bud light draft 👍. Tuesday music bingo could be awesome, but definitely not enough room for a crowd(too small of bar). New patio open, but… Doesn’t do any good when there are still only 2 bartenders. More people, no more help(staff). Ridiculous. Not worth it!! $6.00 draft bud light besides Tuesday.. Another, not good
Wednesday night, was slow. Bartender very unfriendly. Asked for drink and about himself working as bartender. Said I was interrupting him. Looks like a fun place but this bartender is anything but, over pours and dismissive of just casual conversation. If you go here, just don’t go to Chris ( bartender). He hates the job and apparently being anywhere halfway polite to customers. I did not feel welcome for one second. Only 2 other customers in the place and he was dismissive of me when I asked general polite questions. Obviously did not want to be there. Looks like it could be a fun place but the bartender made me feel as if I had walked into any homophobic straight bar, i.e. you’re not wanted here. To make things worse, just purchased a home nearby so this would have been my neighborhood bar. I know about this line of work, many years at DB leather club as lead bartender in KCMO.
The most AWFUL and SLOW bartenders I ever seen in a gay bar, so sad and shame
At this very moment .@Chris bar tender on the inner bar area outer left. The Anglo with tribal tattoos on both arms. 🤮Self tipped 13 dollars ..Trying to fool that I paid with a $10When I gave him my last 20.petty individual . He must need it .Low life. It’s bad for business, the patrons come to this entrusting establishment . With personnel as such gives an ick .
Had a great time of the weekend. Friendly staff, barr one (skinnier, smaller bartender). I didnt matter what you asked for or ordered, or the fact you tip $20, he still was a bit bitter. The bearish fellow behind the bar was friendly and complimentary. The energy level in the place was good to excellent, inside and outside. Definitely come by and check it out
Great late night atmosphere and music. Thank you Robert!
The one time I visited this establishment and your filthy troll alms the door and says I dont know what you are on u cant go in: I laughed ,.someone needs to go get his ged. I was the only one sober. 2nd of all I will never go back through that threshold is filthy., Im so offended,,
The Tool Shed is one of those great neighborhood bars where the staff usually remembers what you drink and offers you a warm welcome when you enter. They also go out of their way to create fun events on usually slow evenings (like having a professional masseur offer massages on some Mondays). The place is always clean, the staff friendly, ad the management top notch. If you are looking for your new favorite place to bend an elbow, try the Tool Shed.
Went to Tuesday Bingo last week .. had so much fun… no attitude, really friendly. Efficient service, great MC great DJ……
Count your change. Because the bartender will shortchange you. I gave the bartender a $20 bill for a drink thats $4.50. I made the assumption that he gave me the correct change and went about my business. When I counted the change later, it was missing a $10 bill. I confronted the bartender. He vehemently denied that I had given him a $20 bill. So Im out $10. I may have lost $10 tonight, but the bar has lost me as a patron for life.
Drink line way too long, 20 plus people
Nice place to go onto the patio out back and smoke a cigar and people watch crowded but not to the point where you cant move turn they have bingo during the week very clean been going for three years every Saturday night
Very nice kind of leather daddy bar mixed with bears and handsome daddies that are fit and hott!!!!! This is a mixed crowd, but since I like older men, this was my place to go at midnight. I love the scruffy men with their beards and the older generational crowd. This was my favorite bar by far when I went to go visit Palm Springs on Jan. 7th 2016. I did explore most of the bars put here that are labeled and are popular. Its not huge, but it gets very popular at night, which I tend to love and you can always find a place to rest your butt if you get tired of standing. I love this bar. When I go back I will go here again. Their were hot guys left and right when I turned my head. Very populated on a Saturday night. Loved the dark black tinted glass windows so no one can see in. This is my kind of bar. I live in Chicago. If you like Touché and Manhandler and Manhole here in Chicago. You will love this bar hands down on a Saturday night!!! They have a pool table! I love pool! Anyways, prices are normal for a bar. $5-6 shots, same with drinks. Just like most places nowadays. Expect the average age to be 40- ish. Have fun and be safe! If you go to Palm Springs most definitely check this bar out on a Saturday night. Its booked with hotties left and right! You will not know which way to turn your head and keep your feet from walking this way or that way!!!!😉😝😋👍👌🤘😜
One of the friendliest bars in Palm Springs. Prices are competitive with competition. Owner, Rob, excels in caring about the clientele. A superb friendly environment.
Someone said the drinks were too expensive! $5 for a well vodka? Assuming no special or happy hour, thats good.Ive been coming here for years. Its a go to place, always friendly....to say the least!
Great place with great guys behind the bar.
STAY AWAY!!! Shed this place.Unclean, pretentious people work here. This joint is a trashy disease-filled place to get expensive drinks. The dancers are gross. The owner is dishonest and has no morals whatsoever!!
Was a nice friendly place the people who where working where friendly. The back patio area was great weather you smoke or not. They played great old school music which brought Bay area lot of happy times .
I enjoy going to the Tool Shed in Palm Springs. The staff is very friendly and the service is great. Saturday bingo is lots of fun.
One of the best bars in town. I absolutely had a ball there. They had the hottest bartenders in town & Very friendly!
I’m looking forward to the new remodel. Excellent neighborhood bar with staff that exceeds my expectations.
A must stop for the Gay Male visits or A must Holiday destination for world travelers. Great Historic Palm Springs, CALIFORNIA USA
Favorite bar in PS. Leather/Levi themed, cozy, intimate and dark bar.Bartender Dale was really welcoming to travelers. Will def be back.
Fun place
Don’t go here if you are POC/Black. I’m warning you. I wish the locals were honest before my friends and I pulled up.
Never, ever a bad experience.
Great, fun place. Very diverse in hot man having fun. Staff is great, specially the hot ginger bartender with the fantastic smile.
Horrible bartender. If this place lasts another year Ill be shocked but I still wont go back lol.
Funky old school gay bar. More of a Cheers bar in afternoon and early evenings. Friendly staff. First stop when visiting Palm Springs.
I love the Tool Shed! Awesome staff, hot men, amazing DJ on Friday and Saturday nights, underwear night on Thursday is HOT.
If you’re wearing a polo and shorts, you’re too overdressed and conservative for these boys. Nonetheless, at the Tool Shed, like the Cole Porter song suggests, “Anything Goes”.
Nice Bear bar with friendly staff and patrons.Theres a patio behind the bar which is heated in winter.
A great place to get out of the heat during the day, and a pup atmosphere, at night. The bartenders are great!
Fun local leather/Levi bar I Palm springs... Close to downtown but not arenas with the other bars.
I had a blast on a wed. Of all days!!! Happy hour 2buck 🍻 and an awesome bartender. How can u not
Great place. Come from San Diego and this is the only bar I go to . Tom the bartender is the best
Laid back bar with a bear/leather/neighborhood bar theme. Enjoyable, easy-going place for a drink.
Pros:great service and friendly staff also very good air-conditioningCons they only take cash but there’s an ATM in the back
Fun, neighborhood hangout with pool table. Off beaten path but worth a visit. Friendly service and crowd.
I always like being in this place. But it can be crowded at times. Nice people. Great service!
They went through alot of trouble to make us feel safe . Out door area big and very nice
Fabulous bartender Paul. Great drink prices friendly atmosphere.
The DJ set a good music vibe there on a Saturday night. Def a leather & locals crowd.
Great Drinks. Great Bartenders.
The bartenders .... really bad
Friendly bartenders fast service patrons are nice as well
I was there last nightThe bartender very badBad service!!!

Sexy daddies and bears. Lots of hairy guys, denim, and leather. Fun!
Best raw and real Gogo dancers in PS hands down
When they let part of the staff actually hit their ex boyfriends its not a good thing for people to go there
Love this place lots of fun, mans bar for sure
