Had the pleasure of eating here on vacation last week. Had the Sunday special of all you can eat wings. Tried the Cajun rub first and then the house special blueberry moonshine BBQ. Amazing! Didnt like the street corn salad, but thats bc down here its warm and not sweet. Just a personal preference. Everything we tried was fresh and looked good. The best part of the experience was the server, believe his name was Blane. Best service Ive had in forever anywhere Ive gone! Thanks!
Pretty sure this is my first time ever visiting Country Club BBQ, we were driving around in that area recently and realized this so we planned our lunch date! Upon walking into the restaurant I noticed it was a bit outdated, Im not sure how long its been open but it seemed like its been there for a while. There is a big bar right when you first walk into the restaurant and we were able to seat ourselves. Theres actually quite a big menu with lots of options it was a bit hard to decide. We got the chips and queso as an appetizer and it was actually quite good! Unfortunately, they were out of rib tips so I didnt get to try those but I did have the two-piece meal with the pork and chicken with sides of fries and baked beans, it also came with a side of toast. There were four options of barbecue sitting on the table and I enjoyed being able to taste all those to see which one I liked the most! We got there right around 11:40 on Sunday and actually had to wait quite a bit thats the only reason Ive given four stars. The food was great and the service was great it was just a long wait, I think we were there for about an hour and a half. My son ordered the all you can eat wings for $18. He really like the spicy hot barbecue much better than the Nashville hot. My husband had the three-piece meal and the sausage was his favorite, he ordered cornbread as a side and it was quite the large piece so he shared with me! Looking forward to going back again and trying something else on the menu.
This place was a blast! The service was awesome, second to none. From the moment we walked in until we left we had a great time. The food was great! We got the rib combo #2 with pulled pork and chicken. Everything was cooked perfectly! Nothing was dry and the chicken was melt in your mouth. Our 2 sides were baked beans and a supreme baked potato. The beans are more like campfire bean so I sweetened them up with the blueberry moonshine bbq sauce and they were perfect! For appetizers we got the whiskey battered onion rings and fried pickles. First off those were the best onion rings I’ve ever had! The pickles looked hand breaded and fried perfectly. The chipotle ranch sauce was on point! Had to grab extra to go with our leftovers. Will definitely be back!
The egg rolls are amazing!! Gotta try them!! Food was hot and fresh. Great atmosphere and bar tender was spot on with drink refills
A large group of golfers played at Newman golf course today and 25 to 35 golfers wanted lunch after the round so we had a member call County Club BBQ several days ahead and informed them of our intentions. Country Club said no problem come ahead. When the group got there there was one girl working behind the bar. To her credit she was bar tending and trying to wait on 30 golfers and other customers and trying her best. There was no way she could do all this herself. Several golfers left before being served after waiting over 30 minutes for a drink order. If they dont have the staff to handle a group at 1 pm on a Thursday afternoon I understand, but dont accept the group on the phone days ahead of time. This could only hurt any chance of customers returning in the future for lack of service when they know we were coming ahead of time. Shame on the manager for not having enough staff on hand or for telling our group we cant handle you on that day. One other thing the Bradley basketball coach walked in half way through this occasion and was served as soon as he sat down. To bad the manager couldnt staff the business knowing the had a group coming ahead of time. I guess we will have to find a different bar restaurant to eat at next time.
Had dinner here and ordered the three for $6 street tacos. Was able to upgrade to a combo of smoked meats on the tacos for $2. The portions were very large. Drinks were cold. Waitress was great. It appeared she was the only one working on the floor.
Came in over lunch hour on a Monday. There were 20-30 people, so a decent crowd for a Monday. I sat at the bar cause I was alone. Waitress/bartender was fast and fun, andy food was delicious. It came out probably around 10 minutes after ordering. The homemade chips were the best.
Review Date: September 25th, 2019You need not arrive on a horse to be allowed entry.Ever since this place opened, I have only heard great things about it. With my mom loving BBQ and her birthday lunch coming up, I asked if she wanted to come here. She said “yes” before I even finished asking. Her love for BBQ is that strong. So, we arrived on a slow Wednesday afternoon. The parking lot was spacious with only a few cars taking up spots. We parked and headed in with our empty bellies. Once inside, we were greeted by wood and I mean wood. Wood everywhere… which is pretty usual for a BBQ place, if you’ve never been. The Country Club was no different. Our bartender/server told us we can sit anywhere and she would be right with us. My mom picked out a seat and we had menus in front of us not a minute or two later. After pouring over the menu for about 10 minutes, we both decided to get the pulled pork sandwiches with french fries. As we waited for our food, we looked over what BBQ sauces they offered. Our table had 3 to pick from: Blueberry Moonshine, Rootbeer Reduction, and Carolina IPA. Looking around, I noticed there was another flavor, Dark Ale Mustard, at another table; I got up and snagged it.Before we knew it, our food was right in front of us and boy did it look appetizing. With 4 flavors of BBQ sauce to choose from, I couldn’t pick which one I wanted to try. They all had unique names/flavors, so it was a tough choice. In these kinds of predicaments, I usually use my fries to dip in small samples of each flavor and see which one I like. The fries were delicious and only tasted better after sampling them in the sauces. After bouncing between the Dark Ale Mustard and Blueberry Moonshine, I settled on the mustard to put on my pulled pork. First bite in, I knew it needed more sauce. I flipped the sandwich over and added more sauce to the side I didn’t put any on.Second bite in, I knew there was something wrong. It wasn’t the fact that the sauce was sparse because I loaded that sucker up. It was the fact that the pulled pork was dry to the bone. With each bite, I would grab a bottle of sauce and add it to where I was going to have the next bite and even then, the dryness would penetrate all flavor. The bun and sauce had plenty of flavor on their own and the pork was juicy on the surface, but I couldn’t help be disappointed in how dry it was. This is just a wild guess, but I am guessing the pulled pork was sitting in a steamer/warmer all afternoon. My two other small issues with the Country Club was the soda and the atmosphere. I grabbed the RC Cola version of Mountain Dew and my mom got lemonade. The soda was fine at first but then I noticed that it was mostly the syrup that is used in fountain drinks. I could barely finish it as it tasted like melted cotton candy after a certain point. Now, for the atmosphere, it just felt dirty. The place itself is clean and all that… it just had an air of dirtiness to it.As for the service, our waitress/bartender was fantastic. She was working the bar but made many trips to our table to make sure everything was going great. It sucks to hear so much hype about a place to come out disappointed after visiting. I had a great time hanging out with my mom and treating her to lunch; I just hope we visited at a wrong time and the place does actually live up to the hype and good online reviews it has.
The first time I visited the establishment, I indulged in a sausage and beef sandwich. The quality of the sandwich was exceptional, as the beef was sliced from a brisket rather than the loose meat beef commonly found in other establishments. While this may be seen as both a positive and negative aspect, it ultimately leans more towards the positive due to the substantial size of the sandwich and quality of food served.
Food was great as always! We tried the egg roll of the week, Mac and cheese with Nashville Hot chicken. I was skeptical but they were delicious! My cod was cooked to perfection. We try to eat here once a month
Solid choice for well-done BBQ with a unique and local flare (4.5 🌟s)First time trying CCBBQ so I got a wide assortment of choices: ribs, 1/2 chicken, brisket, and pulled pork. Sides were all on point. They only have a handful of sauces. Most of them are sweet and almost blend together, but some of them have a unique flavor.
Love the vibe there. All wood everywhere corn hole outside 2 bars 1 outdoor.food is always 🔥. Chicken wings r huge and so good.
By far one of the best places Ive been for food in peoria, not to pricey, great BBQ, the only and I mean ONLY downfall was that they didnt serve steak 🥲 other than that I enjoyed every bit of my meal! Will be back again just for the egg role! Its a must try if you go to eat!
The food is excellent and priced reasonable for BBQ. We went during the day and the staff was awesome. Everything from how fast the food came out to not having to ask for a refill on a drink was great. Definitely recommend.
Good food as always.Good atmosphere.Blonde bartender/ waitress had an attitude problem & a bit condescending. We will be back.
First time at this place and we wil not be back!!!!! My husband got brisket nachos and the meat was straight out of a refrigerator. When he said something about it the server was super rude this was after he tried to order ribs from a bbq joint and was told they didnt have any. She was took his plate made an off hand remark to a coworker and threw it in a bin while saying this cant be cold. Told her to just touch it and she could see but she just walked away!!! I got a burger and it was ok nothing special
Awesome BBQ place. Smaller than I expected so we got the last table. I had the BBQ salad - had at least a pound of amazing pulled pork on it. My wife got the Tot dish with pulled chicken. The tots were awesome - not your typical frozen style but homemade and the size of a golf ball!
Food is mediocre at best. Lot of sauces to choose from, but their brisket is really dry, probably because its chopped so fine its like cheesesteak meat. Brisket should be sliced to hold its flavor. Couldnt finish it unfortunately
I ordered the brisket wrap with coleslaw. It was done perfectly and the brisket was tender with little fat. The smoked baked beans were very tasty.
We had the all you can eat wing special. I had boneless with wild sauce. And bone in with hot sauce. Great smoked flavor. Big wings. We tapped out with the second helping. Service was very good. Well be back to try some other food. It all looked good.
Best wings ever!!!!!!!!! Changing my 4 star review from years ago to 5 star after yesterday. This place has continually improved over the years and is now a very fine place to stop for food and drink! The garlic Parmesan wings were among the best wings I’ve ever had in my life and I’m definitely a seasoned wing critic.
The ribs were overcooked and super tough and dry. Pulled pork was extremely fatty. The chicken was really good and the chicken wings with the rib rub at were excellent. The atmosphere made absolutely no sense. Claims it is a barbecue joint but you walk in and all you can hear is the overhead being very loud. Cleanliness is a big thing for me and the bar was filthy.
Awesome food and great service. Definitely going back to try other things on the menu!
Midwest style BBQ venue.Food was good but dry for my taste. Good selection of sauces made up for it though.
Love love love this place! Any time of day is never disappointing! The food, the service, beverages from awesome sweet tea plucked straight from the old south (like Grannys) to their mixed adult drinks (not like Granny 😂), all on point and worth the stop it if you havent, and if you have I hope youve dropped a review theyre easy to review! Five stars+!
Been awhile since I have been here. Stopped in to meet a friend, wont say any names, but owns a car dealership, doesnt have any hair, and drinks High Noons. I believe pineapple is his favorite...lol. Had a great time and couldnt believe the $1 Busch lights. The food is always great. Keep up the good work. ~Brandon Stewart
Food was so delicious and made promptlyStaff was very attentive
So weve tried this place last year and thought it was just OK, so tonight we decided to give it another shot and boy were we disappointed again bit only worse ,we both ordered the 3 meat combo and yeah that was a very bad idea and all the meat comes all ready chopped up Im these little ramekins and very dry ,to the point were its not enjoyable and without having the bbq sauces at your table to even try to moisten it up ,its just bad .Tasted old like from possibly day before or something. Biggest thing is you cant cut up meat and then put it in oven or under heat lamps and expect it to hold any moisture. Well no trying to bash the place but thier food is subpar and its obvious that the kitchen needs more experience help back there ,nevertheless we wont be going back .
Food was pretty good, service was friendly, and atmosphere was ok. The only reason I gave atmosphere a lower score is because the bathroom was filthy.
Recent had lunch here. Everything was great, but the coleslaw. Hands down, this is the strangest coleslaw I have ever had in my life, and I could not eat it. I remember when this place was the Lucky Lady Saloon, and I went there when I went to Bradley. That said, its my understanding that this place is a totally different place from the lunch experience to that in the evening. I guess its still packed in the evening with the Bradley students partying hard. 🥳
First time there. I felt like there could have been more seating available. There was alot of unused indoor space. Im not a fan of stool type chairs so I was uncomfortable after 20 minutes or so. Bar drinks were good, our waitress James, was great, and the food was pretty good. My pulled pork sandwich had alot of fat in it, but flavor was good. Everyone at the table liked their food. It was an enjoyable evening.
Great staff. Great food. Remember to try the Blueberry BBQ wings. Youll thank me later.
Dry and no seasoning. First time going there so we got the meat plates and a 1/2 rack. Overall, the sauces do all of the heavy lifting. The ribs were good. All the meat tasted as if it were cooked the day before or like it were sitting under a heat lamp all day. I do want to give the benefit of the doubt, because we went on a Sunday and they had an all you can eat Wings special. So, maybe they were more prepared to sell wings and everything else took a back seat. Apps & sides were on point and they have a really good batter. As said before, the sauces do all of the work and they are tasty and mostly lean toward the sweet side.
So good, our pickup is always hot and delicious. You always get the actual dinner in this big a$$ warm aluminum container. Not like most places, that mash half of how much youd get dine-in into a sad soggy or styrofoam take out.
Been there before the pandemic. Loved the place. Went today. Ribs came out cold. Sent them back. Bartender said thats how ribs are. Then I explained I worked for Daves for years and I KNOW how ribs should be! They returned them SLIGHTLY, and I mean SLIGHTLY warmer. The staff seemed to be more interested with their lives than work. I watched one of the wait staff filling glasses with ice by dragging the cup into the ice (she had an ice scoop). NOT sanitary, or safe AT ALL! I dont want plastic cup chips in my drink. I highly doubt we will return. Only plus was I got a bottle of their Blueberry Moonshine BBQ sauce. I will give them that. The sauce is really good.
The food is great. Highly recommend the BBQ pulled pork. Enough meat for two sandwiches. The sauces are wonderful. Only downfall is how loud it gets in there. With people drinking, it gets very loud. There was a table of ten guys in the middle of the room and they were so very loud that we could not hear anything but them.
We ordered takeout last night, and the food was just ok. All of the meat was dry and disappointing. The brisket was chewy, the tips were hard and the chicken tasted oddly like overcooked turkey breast rather than juicy smoked chicken. Ive eaten lunch here before and it was good, but probably wont be back after this experience. Blue Duck is soooooo much better.
Great food, large portions. Friendly, fast service. Decent prices
My wife and I split a full rack of ribs. They were very meaty with good flavor. Came with 2 sides. We had the Mac and cheese which was excellent along with the fries which were good also.We ordered 2 extra sides. The whiskey onion rings had very goid flavor and I would recommend them to anyone who likes onion rings. Also had the beans which didnt wow me at all and cant recommend them. They have 4 different bbq sauces and they all very good but definitely recommend the blueberry moonshine bbq sauce which is their house sauce.
The food is delicious, and the staff was wonderful with getting our food to us quickly for takeout. We had more than enough sauce to get through the BBQ meat we ordered. The tots are my personal favorite side dish.
New to the area and a big Texas BBQ fan so finding our places. As for the food, I judge a place by its brisket. It is that simple. My love is South Texas brisket and I will make it to the mecca at some point. This was not that. The brisket was fall apart but no real smoke ring or flavor and really needed sauces. Would be great as a sandwich with sauce and some onion straws and maybe a slice of smoky cheddar. The server was fantastic and answered all my questions and assured us that it was more of the Central Illinois style and that it is mostly fruit wood and not smoked as heavy or with as strong of a wood as they do in Texas. The sausage was really good. Very flavorful with a great crisp and really reminded me of some of the flavor when I used to do fried ring bologna. Turns out it is more of an andouille style. Was really good.Wifey chose the 1/2 chicken and 1/2 Rib platter. Both were good. They were both served dry and I really liked it that way. Again, no real smoke like I expect but they were still very good.Though I dont do breaded stuff often, we tried their fried green tomatoes with chipolte ranch and they were pretty darned good. Typically they would be done with cornmeal but the double dip seasoned flour was really good.
The food was pretty good for the area that doesnt have many choices. The service was great. Our waitress was very attentive. The atmosphere was a little dark with not many lights for a lunchtime crowd.
Service was a little slow, but they were pretty busy for a Tuesday. The food was good as usual and the atmosphere was fun. Definitely recommend because with such a diverse menu, you will find just about anything youll like!
Food was well prepared and delivered to the table in a timelyManor, service was great and friendly
The most finger lickin, lip smackin, mouth waterin, tender lovin, so good make you wanna smack your momma ribs in the tri country area.Country Club BBQ: King of the brisket, home of the party starter.
I found this place to be a shuffle above a dive. The meat was very dry (I tried the brisket and chicken) and the soda tasted very off, like the mix wasnt right or the nozzle was dirty.I did like the chips and the coleslaw though. And the waitress was nice and attentive.
Drinks were weak and expensive. Ribs were dry and tasteless. Thank god for the bbq sauce. Fried corn was pretty good, but nothing to write home about. No music playing. Only sports on the tv. Fries were soggy and under seasoned. Ordered two helpings of brisket, got one sauce cup of it. Nothing was what I wanted. Also, I was never carded and there were definitely under age kids.
Amazing wings. Great service! Food was well made and fresh. Not your average bar/bbq. A must try!
Loved it! Just had some odd sauces. As a guy from Kansas City, I wanted more spice but that’s okay. GREAT SERVICE! Loved the rib tips!
Was out on a blind date and had the pulled pork with fried hash brown balls...definitely won me to come back again...well prepared and delicious.
When we go every Thursday, bartenders are nice and friendly food is great. Nice atmosphere
Visited on a Thursday Afternoon. Wings were awesome. Beer was cheap. The Bartender was swamped, but man, she was on top of it. She ran her tail off, but she did an awesome job. I definitely recommend the wings.
Appetizers were good.We sat in a inside but every time the waitstaff would go in and out of the main dining to the outside smoking area, very strong cigarette smell would waft inside. Very nauseating.
This was my second visit to this establishment. I went for a casual lunch with friends. I arrived about 1:00 PM and was seated right away. The server seemed to be knowledgeable and prompt. I ordered a burger with fries. The wait for the food was a bit long but not excessive. When delivered I was very much underwhelmed by the presentation of the food. The burger was very much overcooked and dry. The bun had warmed to the point of toasting it and not in a good way. The Swiss cheese I had ordered was replaced with something else which the server did not notice. The fries were very much overcooked and appeared to be what was the remains of a real order. I overlooked the appearance of the entire order and hoped the taste would make up for the appearance shortcomings. Sadly, it did not. Everything on my plate was very much overcooked and looked like it along with tasting like it. A burger and fries should be an easy meal and a gage of the food being served. It was a total fail on their part. Ill go back again to see if this was just an anomaly of some kind for their food. At this time I would not recommend them. It was my second visit. Next time I am home Ill try again to be fair. I really wanted to like this place for the atmosphere and menu but just cant as the food being served to me was a complete let down.
I’m originally from Chicago but I lived in Texas for over 15years I loved Chicago style rib tips and Texas brisket with that being said.the bbq from here is horrible taste like it’s been boiled and fried the sides are mediocre brisket no flavor, fish cheap fish sticks will never eat here again. A waste $120 could been spent better not to mention the chicken was old
The food was great, especially the flatbreads!
We had family together the day after Thanksgiving. I was in charge of meat. Clay helped me determine how much Pulled pork and chicken tenders I needed for 25-30 people. They even sent the sauces in squeeze bottles.Everyone commented on how good the pulled pork was and especially liked the chicken!
This place is absolutely amazing! Great service, Great Food, Wonderful Atmosphere and the prices are very reasonable. Weve eaten there 5/6 times and have never been disappointed 👍🏻 This evening we stopped to eat and from the time we we sat down, ordered drinks, ordered our food and finished our meal was 45 minutes and they were busy. Excellent wait staff‼️
Got the family meal with brisket, and it was delicious! Mac and cheese, beans and potato salad. We just relocated from Austin TX, and we were looking for good BBQ. Was not expecting the food to be as good as it was. Called it in for pickup, and it was ready quickly. This is now our favorite take out place. Really looking forward to trying some eggrolls, and onion rings!
Tonights experience was really good. The food was tasty. Ordered the two meat dinner meal with two sides. Brisket was really good. Chicken was a bit dry but still tasty. Cornbread and potato salad were great. Tried all 4 sauces and enjoyed them all. Our server was very busy with a descent sized crowd and did an overall good job. The wife and daughter were both pleased with their meals also. Son-in-law had the wings and said they were really good.Overall, I look forward to trying other menu items in the future.
Tried this place for the first time and loved it.Went to Country Club BBQ for dinner and the food was great. The service was excellent as well. The restaurant isnt stuffy or fancy with a very relaxed atmosphere that is perfect for a BBQ joint. Spacious dining area, clean restrooms, and extensive food/beverage options. The egg rolls are amazing and the sauce options on the table were all great for the different meats I had. We had our picky eater 10 year old with us and she easily found something she liked on the menu and enjoyed her food. I had the 3 meat dinner with brisket, rib tips, and chicken. My wife had the pork sandwich which was huge. The potato salad was killer and my corn on the cob was perfectly cooked.I would definitely recommend this place for anyone who enjoys good BBQ. I will definitely be back. My next visit will include a rack of ribs that I unfortunately did not have room for on my first visit.
Much more than I expected from a Farmington Rd bar. We ordered the pulled pork egg rolls for an appetizer which came out with our food. That was fine since it all came out fairly quick. They were amazing. I didnt even use the dipping sauce until my last roll because the flavor was so good. A little spicy from the ginger...warning if you dont like a little bit of a kick. The loaded tots with house made tots were amazing. I got the pork, delicious and tender. The house made sauces on the table were good too. They were unusual flavors but compliment the food well. Servings were huge so come hungry or split with a friend.
Great Lunch and Barbecue!! Service is excellent! 👍
Solid 4 stars.Pro:-Service was very good. She was fast, efficient, and accurate. She helped me navigate my allergies with their menus and kept everything straight with our party of 12.-Portions are very good for the price.-Egg rolls were awesome!Con:-Brisket was just ok. Smoke flavor was weak and it needed sauce. Good brisket doesnt need sauce.-Baked beans were overly smokey. Since the only meat in them was bacon, I didnt expect them to be smokey at all.Overall a good meal and Im sure Ill be back.
Took family for dinner. Great food and drinks menu. We sat out back and service was great. Highly recommend the wings. Started to get real busy as we left, so I guess its a very popular place. Il definitely be going back
Brisket and ribs werent very smoky. Meat was cooked properly. They only had 4 sauces, of which 3 were sweet. Service was great!
We love coming to the CCBBQ! Were here at least once a week. The food is great and the atmosphere is even better. They have a special egg roll each week that is always worth a try, also be sure to ask about the desert egg roll. Try some of their special sauces on the wings! We love their food so much we even had them cater our wedding. Their new catering business is FANTASTIC. The food and service was awesome, plus they made the whole process so easy. The Country Club BBQ food is 10/10 and their staff is 13/10!
Where to start?? Well Ill just start from the beginning so from the outside the place was very intriguing walked in and was very pleased clean place and nice staff. Ordered the 2 meat combo. Brisket and smoked sausage with baked beans and coleslaw. Then the food came immediately I knew i was going to be disappointed. Everything was ice cream scooped in to a soup style cup! Ive never in my life seen brisket ice cream scooped into a soup cup!! It was mush and looked like it had been placed in a bag and beat with a hammer!! Its taste...it was like 2 week old pot roast!! Zero smoke taste! The sausage was cut up and scooped into the same style cup! I swear it was Bob Eckrich smoked sausage! Same casing same salty slimy greasy taste like I cooked it at home on a gas grill!! The coleslaw same scooped into the same style cup with zero taste! The baked beans where good they actually put some effort into them. The sauces were all very good and thank the lord for that!!! The person I was with had the same thing one got the smoked chicken which was horrendous!! Dry as dry could be and zero smoke flavor. She didnt even eat it! I didnt get sick or have stomach issues but my goodness the food was a total DISASTER!! The brisket and chicken I would put money on being minimal 3 day old leftovers!!!
I have been here several times. The food is GREAT and the staff is VERY friendly. The prices are great too. They have the best burgers and chicken strips in town! You have got to try their Tot Bowl and Q-Shoe as well; they are simply awesome!
Didnt enjoy our meal. Had the wings and rib tips. Chicken was ok and the tips werent tender at all. Cole slaw was awful. Onion rings were yummy! Very strong gas smell from an overhead heater...had to move to another tabble. Waitress was very nice however.
Good service, good atmosphere. I got the 3 meat sampler. The chicken and pork were both top notch. The brisket was a bit of a let down. They have a few homemade sauces but all are a bit on the sweet side, they could stand to add a spicy one. All in all a good experience.
Their egg rolls were so delicious! Everything we ordered to eat was great and didnt take long to get our food either. They have a lot of beer on tap and the atmosphere here is always comfortable and cozy with the fire place out back. Love this place!
Great fast service, amazing food, if you like country its a cool environment! Absolutely will be back
Recently met up with some friends for a birthday party and they chose this place. We sat out back around a table with a fire pit in it. It was comfortable for sure.Food looked good however I have an issue with hot or mildly spicy foods so my brisquit nachos I couldnt eat. Bummer . They were nice enough to take my meal off when we paid. They really didnt have to do that but I sure did appreciate that and would go back in a heartbeat. Food all looked great tho and Id recommend this place. Until next time...
Yesterday was our first visit and everything was amazing from our great server Lacey who had us a party about 17 people and other tables she always kept our drinks filled , when asked about the menu she was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions being it was our first visit. Now on to the food it was fantastic. A very great selection with a twist. We will be back !
Much better than expected. Peoria is really not the worst place to find food but its almost impossible to find really good BBQ within the area. This has to be one of the best spots Ive been too. The wait staff was really nice and was able to accommodate a family of 14. Every single person left happy with what they ate and that rarely happens. I had the ribs which were pretty legit. I always prefer to have a rub and a sauce actually cooked on the ribs and this seemed to have neither. That actually didnt bother me since the ribs seemed to be cooked perfectly and they had six homemade sauces to try from. Rarely do I like all of the sauces at a BBQ place but I really did enjoy every one of the sauces that they had at the table. I preferred the Blueberry Moonshine the most although the Carolina IPA was quite good as well. I got two sides with my ribs, corn bread and mac n cheese. Both sides were excellent. Ultimately Id recommend that you try this place at least once if you live in the area.
The food and waitresses are the best. Super fun place to hang out and eat at.
Service is excellent. Really feel like family here. Even if I havent been there in awhile they always great me by name when I walk in. The food is really good and my favorite wing sauce is whiskey pecan. Recommend trying it.
We love the egg roll of the week! It something new we can get ever time we go in. The wings are awesome. The pulled pork is amazing. The staff goes above and beyond. They have an outdoor space that is heated with a tabletop fire pit. It is so cozy. We love CCBBQ!
Good selection of BBQ sauce, ribs were on the dry side and lacked the ability to be pulled apart like I like them. Well seasoned and great smokey flavor. With some exploration I am sure it can make the next level.
Very yummy! Little vegetarian options. They do allow smoking outside and in their patio section which does leave a little bit of a smell inside too unfortunately. But every one was super nice and their BBQ sauces were delicious!!!
Amazing quality food! Love their brisket tacos! Been there twice and will definitely be back for more!
Locally owned bar and restaurant. Lots of things to do here if you have spare time! They have Golf simulators upstairs, dancing, live music, an awesome game room from Accel Entertainment, the patio, and the food is really good too. $1 smoked wings on Thursdays. I like the Blueberry BBQ and the Sweet Chili sauce personally.. try their homemade tots too! Something for everyone!
Ribs were tough and chewy. Onion rings batter too thick and chewy. Fried green tomatoes were tough and unable to chew. Corn/bean side dish had some funky flavor (like blue cheese taste). Only thing edible was ok coleslaw and the toasted bread. Much better BBQ by Grand Prairie
Can’t even accommodate a group of 7. Came in and our group drove over and hour from multiple directions to meet. The manager is RUDE AND they can’t move tables around or move chairs to have 7 people sit. Thanks guys. Wow. You lost over $300 in profits
Food looked great, fries were great. Brisket and rib tips were very very very dry, sausage was okay. Unique BBQ sauce was phenomenal. Boneless wings were like the grocery store pizzaz wings... overly breaded hyper crunchy garbage you can get from anywhere.
I never have a disappointing night out at Cams! My friends and I love this bar. The back patio is open and spacious. Its nice that it doesnt get hot. Good dancing options inside and the music is always on point. The bartenders service is awesome too!!! Never have to wait for drinks. And they remember what you were drinking too. Shoutout to the bartenders on the back patio, keep killing it!
Tried a couple different things on different months of the year & husband & I both got sick after each occasion. Tasted Alright but the food poisoning so often at the same establishment was very off-putting. They have a good gaming area though; but winning is very rare there as well.Dac’s Smokehouse is the best place around for quality smoked food!
I love this place. Non corporate private owner and awesome food. Highly recommend the grilled corn on the cob. I had the brisket but damn the corn on the cob was by far the best Id ever had. Awesome music at this place as well!!!
Friendly service. Excellent selection of drinks, appetizers, and main courses. I loved their tater tots that come with mac and cheese sauce. I had their grilled chicken wrap deep fried. Whoooa buddy that was delicious. Will be back again. Definitely some of the best grub in town.
Great place! The food and service here is amazing! I ordered the half smoked chicken dinner and it’s fantastic! Awesome flavor and falling off the bone and juicy! My new favorite place to eat in Peoria! Great job CBBQ! 💯
My first time eating here. The wrap I had was very good and filling. I really like how the wrap was toasted and the side salad could have been a meal by itself.
Chicken bacon wrap was pretty good! Great lunch break. Would have liked to stick around for a 8-10 beers though!
Food is fabulous!! Flew in from Arizona last night. Went there to eat and visit. Drinks...atmosphere...food was great. Want to go back before I leave Peoria IL. You have to go..if you havent been there! Almost everything is hand breaded...made fresh...not frozen. Hard to find a place like that back in AZ!!
Good service. Fried green tomatoes had too much breading for my taste and lacked enough seasoning. The bbq taco salad was good, but the shell tasted like it was fried in old, rancid oil.
Weve been here a couple times. Sometimes with friends for a couple drinks, sometimes for an off the beaten path date night. Each time the service has been great and the food is delicious for the price. Tonight was above average as we had four beers and two entrees for under $25 and our bartender/server Dan was polite, attentive, pleasant, and friendly. This place will continue to bump up on our list of restaurants when we ask each other, whats for dinner?
Appetizers were good but the ribs were terrible! Tough, with no smoke flavor whatsoever! The brisket was tender, juicy but with absolutely no flavor at all! Its barbecue how about we barbecue it?
Had a large group (14) and everything was fantastic!. Service was friendly and fast. Egg rolls were hit. Street tacos are fantastic. Cant wait for next visit
I love this local place in Peoria. Amanda is hands down the best server ever. She is always so friendly and on it. Andy, and the rest of the team is top notch as well. Great food, friendly staff. What else do you want? Nothing. Keep it up!
We had heard some good reports about it. We stop for lunch and was not impressed with the food at all.We tried the House 🏠 Special that had 2 different BBQ meats 🍖.We much preferred Daves.
We ordered takeout and I ordered a HAMBURGER and told them what I wanted on it, somehow I got cheese on my burger. I didnt ask for cheese, cant eat cheese so I pitched it 😞 My husband ordered fried pickles and they were horrid, looked like chicken strips!
We had my father in laws celebration of life here and the staff and food were amazing! The owner kept in contact with me throughout the process and helped me make sure everything was ready. The staff made sure the food was hot and full at all times. The bartender made sure everyone was taken care of. Thank you for all your help on such a difficult day.
The restaurant is a country themed western style bar/restaurant. Some food items are fine, the homemade tots are the best side item. The rib tips are a bit salty, but fine overall. Now the bad, this place is so loud during dinner that you cannot hear yourself think. The brisket (a $2 up charge on most meals) tastes like reheated pot roast. The only seasoning used with any of this seams to be lots of salt. Mac and cheese is completely flavorless and mine came cold.
We ate here for the first time a few weeks ago and now it seems we get it to go about twice a week. Great food and the service is always good. They made an error on our order and not only fixed it but also gave us the incorrect food item for free. Would recommend to anyone that is looking for a good time or great food!
Always a great stop for lunch. The blueberry BBQ sauce is great and their boneless wings are premium chicken tender cuts and big. The other food we have tried has always been good well. THE STAFF never fails to please. From the server to the kitchen they aim to please..
This place is excellent! As soon as I got out of the car, the smell was exquisite. The food was delicious. The service was great. I wish I lived closer so I could eat there more. Go eat there right now!
Food is great. The majority of male employees are not wearing masks. (Saw one with a mask) Most of the other staff who do have masks are wearing them under their noses. Guess we will have to find a new place to eat. They obviously do not care about the health and well being of their customers.
I went for lunch in a group of 6 on a Monday. The service was slow, staggered and rude. The waitress complained of a migraine but she was short tempered and impatient anyway. I know its a demanding job anytime, especially when youre not well, but we were a pretty easy group. The food is not great and is overpriced for what it was. I basically got a McDonalds fish sandwich for 4 times the price. The homemade tater tots were tasty / a nice touch but it just seems odd to have paired them with what feels otherwise school cafeteria quality food. The barbecue looked and smelled nice and the homemade sauces were good. Its a shame the service wasnt better becuase it doesnt really feel worth it to try again.
Warm and welcoming atmosphere. Staff very friendly and quick. Sat at the bar. Bartender did an excellent job. Food was quick, hot and fantastic. Honestly the best BBQ joint ive been to in years. Definitely worth a visit if youre in the area!
Top notch.. Will now be our go to.. Very accommodating for large party.. Hard to pick just 1 entree.. The pork BBQ egg rolls - 3 huge cut into 6 pieces are wonderful.. Loaded Tot with Pulled Pork - very tasty!!
I love all you can eat chicken on Sunday. It has a variety of sauce that you can go with and it comes with fries.
Great place for BBQ! Do not miss out on the pulled pork egg rolls and their BBQ sauces are amazing.
Great food, service. Definitely one of my top places to eat.
Our party had chicken wings brisket and smoked chicken and everybody was more than happy with the portions and the taste. Onion rings and tater tot’s and mac & cheese filled out our meal and everyone was happy and full. We will definitely be returning.
I used to always go here for their smoked wings! NEVER AGAIN! I went there yesterday around 9p.m., and my order came up to $65, $75 after tips! Got home and everything was cold! EVERYTHING! Loaded potatoes, fries, ribs, brisket, EVERYTHING was cold, old, and gross! When I called, the manager got the phone and said I ordered too late, have a nice day, and then hung up on me! NEVER AGAIN! SAVE YOUR MONEY! ID BE $75, RICHER IF NOT FOR COUNRTY CLUB BBQ! SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!!!!
Country club bbq catered my wife’s birthday party and let me just tell you, it was all the talk. We had a Mexican theme buffet style and it was incredible. Any topping you could thing of was there and prepped amazingly! Thanks again !
Always great food. Service was a bit slow, but they are open and gave a pretty big space for outdoor seating. It was so good to go out. If you go in the evening, try to sit in the parking lot tent. The uncovered seating on the other side was in the sun and pretty hot, but again, sitting at a restaurant, being waited on, dont really care.
Great people great waitress love it
Good food. Good service. Awful country music playing. Not everyone likes just one type of music!
I placed an order for 2 brisket sandwiches while at work and told the guy who took my order over the phone to make sure to include bbq sauce and ranch dressing I drove 20 minutes to picked up the order and again at the counter I asked for bbq and ranch he assured they were already there.I was at work drove 20 minutes to find out they didnt put neither the ranch nor bbq sauce and sandwich was dry as hell and flavorless..I called them to let them know i was missing the sauce and the guy just said ok!?? what do you want me to do? SO RUDE!!never going there again .
I love this place. I decided to bring my family out and there is a little crowd. I ordered the 12.95 all you can eat bone-in or boneless wings . 1 1/2 hours I have only had Just my 1st order of wings😟😟. Im pregnant and hungry. I asked our waitress and she said well we are a little busy😡. Everone is done eating but me, Im so so disappointed
Ribs and my baked potato were very good but cornbread was flat and dry I couldnt even eat it. Street corn salad was also not good to me. I thought it would be like regular street corn but it wasnt im not sure what that was🤔
Pretty good barbeque, its no southern barbeque, but its good! Love the mac n cheese sauce added to different items. Nice clean atomosphere, wasnt too crowded for lunch. 4 out of 5 because our waitress had a prissy attitude and the meat was a little dryer than we like it. But, the bar tender and other staff were friendly! Like their in house barbeque sauce? You can get it to go, the blueberry moonshine was our favorite!
Food and atmosphere is excellent! Lets talk about the food. Gotta have the BBQ pork egg rolls, they are going so good! Almost addictive!!! Weve ordered them for our Superbowl party before, thats how much we love these lil gems! The homemade tater tots are worth the trip all by themselves! Everything is very good here as we come here often. If something isnt quite up to par, they dont hesitate to make it right. Service is outstanding, always bending over backwards to make sure youre always having the best dining experience you can. I didnt think my sweet tea tested right. I mentioned to my server, she took it back to a guy at the bar. I watched as he thoughtfully tasted it, poured it out, picked up the pitcher it was poured from and examined it a little before dumping it out. Going to the kitchen, made a fresh pitcher and a fresh glass. Honestly, he put some Time into this that he probably didnt have since it was busy. I was very impressed! Most places wouldve just brought me more of the same tea. He really made me feel like that was the most important thing to him at that moment. The tea I got back was very good!!! Prices are very reasonable. The amount of food you get is crazy!!! Theres enough meat piled up on those buns for 2 sandwiches! Tender ribs falling off the bone! Seriously, I cant say enough good things about this place! 1 star off because parking isnt great. Just my opinion but its the parking lot theyre stuck with, I know, I shouldnt hold it against them. But, hard to get a good parking spot, lol, but worth the effort!!!
Excellent fries , pieces of wings getting way too expensive was 50 cent a piece now special is $1 a piece 9n Thursdays.. Non special days 5 for $7.50. That turns out to be $2 a wing.Wings were very very good though.
This was my first time visiting here. We got the BBQ eggrolls as an appetizer and I ordered the combo sandwich with fries. Both items were delicious and the serving size of the entree was on point. Definitely worth the price, which was on par with many other restaurants in the area.
I hesitate to broadcast how good the BBQ is for fear that Country Club BBQ will become too busy! We absolutely love their food & service. Indoor and outdoor seating. Good pricing. Nice atmosphere. Big tables for groups & small tables for a couple. So, dont tell anyone else, but feel free to enjoy a great meal yourself!
First time I tried this place and I am mad I hadn’t tried it sooner. The bbq was amazing, the sides were all top shelf, and the prices were very reasonable as well. I can’t wait to go back!
Huge portions, good food, great service, and fun atmosphere. BBQ sauces were good, a few were different. Good value, with nightly specials too.
It was a little disappointing. I ordered onion rings and they were overcooked. Some were even burnt . There was only one server, for such a large dining area. Probably wont go back.
Candace did an exceptional job. The prices are good. Foods OK. Its giving last chance bar and grill on alta.
Everyone at work was ranting and raving about this place so I had to check it out. I ordered the bone in and bone out smoked teriyaki wings and a large order of fries. My bill came to 21.00. Got all the way home and realized they never gave me my fries and the wings were so awful my husband and i took one bite and tossed them in the trash. There was absolutely no teriyaki flavor at all and they are whole wings instead of wing sections. I dont even want the fries they offered to replace the ones they didnt give me.
Where to start? Dropped in for lunch. Waitress was amazing, she recommended the pork burger with bacon and white cheddar. Only problem with it, is now I dominated know if I would ever order anything else.Even though I didnt need to add a sauce I wanted to try all the BBQ sauces on the table. I could not decide on a favorite.Definitely returning.
Tried this place for the first time(s) twice this week with nothing positive to report. Ordered chicken both times. Day 1: I ordered chicken tenders. They were served to me as if they just came out of the refrigerator. Texture AND temperature. I figured it was just a one-off mistake, no big deal and attempted to give them a try the following day. This time, I ordered 2 chicken breasts and a mashed potato. Chicken was so overcooked that the knife would not cut the meat. Blackened char stripes made it inedible. It was a complete lack of care for food. Paid and left but there will not be an opportunity for a strike 3. The service is hit or miss. Yer done, bud.
All the food is good. Regular specials (food and drink) make coming here easy and cheap. Great wait staff in a clean environment. I would even bring my kids here. Highly recommend.
Went 5-20-20 ribs where terrible dry with no flavor. Quesadilla was decent, cornbread wasn’t done all the way, Q shoe was ehh didn’t taste like one. Over priced won’t come back. Maybe be decent with a buzz from the bar 😂
The online menu says $13 for a two meat plate and was charged $14 plus charged $1.50 extra for brisket. I drive all across the country. That was the worst bbq Ive experienced. The coleslaw is so bland and tasted kinda sour like old milk with no other flavor and soggy cabbage. Gross! The brisket was dry. The beans are definitely not house made. It was an entire waste of $20. Even the bbq sauce was watered down. I definitely will not go there again.
Hot, juicy, charred, great sauces available if you want that hot sauce thing. Pile on here. The egg roll appetizer and that sauce is so good I might order 2 of them next time. Then there is the tater tot bowl, lathered in meat of your choice and mac and cheese sauce. This is so over the top, I want to scream it is so good.
Very good service and food! So many excellent choices on the menu. Had rib tips with house made slaw and Mac and cheese w/bacon as sides. All were wonderful.
Will never return, waitress carelessly gave my debt card to another customer, when I called and explained the situation, they did nothing about it and never called me back as they said they would, have now spent several hours in fixing the waitress’s careless error
Daily eggroll special is awesome.
Great service delicious food. Rib tips cooked perfectly. We tried pork, chicken and brisket. All very good and all of our sides very good as well!!
Took the kids with us, kids had wings, ribs, grilled cheese, and mac & cheese. We had 2 of the fried slaw wraps and a side of pulled pork. All was good. They also make their own bbq sauce 4 of them offered each day.
Our server was one of the best male servers Ive ever been waited on by. The food is excellent and the price is fair, the deco is kinda cool looks sort of like rough rustic country party bar
Good food and good service. Always have enjoyed them at Taste of Peoria and now have finally experienced them at the restaurant. Will definitely go back again. I highly recommend the barbecue egg rolls!
Great brisket delicious tender moist good flavor good portion very good brisket. The side of homemade chips were crispy tasty with the seasoning. Good lunch good value
If negative stars were an option, I would have done selected them. Service so-so, food horrible but agree fries were only good part. Didnt make the mix drink correctly, appetizer came after main meal and half of the items were cold.
This place is amazing, every time, never a bad meal. Anyone who says otherwise is full of kt, I have been here probably two dozen times and had a big going away party here two years ago. I have never had anything but an awesome experience, the food never disappoints and the prices are very reasonable.
DANK! Even leftovers are good. Ribs were juicy and tips were tender. Pulled pork is good on Hawaiian buns when you get home.
I was in Peoria visiting my family and my brother suggested this place. The service and food was very good! I really enjoyed eating here! If you live in Peoria and havent been here, please try this place!
Omg the food was delicious. I got the 3 meat plater. Chicken, tips, and brisket. Only disappointment was the corn bread. Im soooo comin back for more..Yuuuuum exit to flavor town!!!
Food is decent but they really meed to turn on the heater! Ridiculously cold in there. There was one part that had a heater, but people were smoking. Gross!
Meats good but blandish. Great sides! Atmosphere is nothing fancy and turns into a rowdy club scene late.
I absolutely love this place. The bartenders are amazing and friendly and always prompt. My dad got me hooked on the nachos. They are to die for. 5 stars all around!!!
I love the pulled pork here. The sweet potato fries are excellent as well. Service is fast and prompt and my glass never goes empty.
A friend suggested I try the wings and their coatings. I had the blueberry bar-b-cue and the jerk chicken.... both are bonified great.Good flavor and tasty ...!
Liked the beer but beef tips were tough.Would have to try another dish to make a true evaluation. Friendly staff, good prices
Little on the pricey side but great food. First time there and it wont be the last. The service was great. Give it a try.
Baked potatoes were cold, very little meat. In all fairness, we got there right after theyd opened, but they should have had the potatoes cooking an hour earlier.
Love the food, servers and bar staff! Great place to go and have a great time
Good food, not great but decent. Server was very busy but still found time for us the best she could. Very happy with overall experience.
Absolutely love their food! The Blueberry BBQ wings are amazing!
Found this place by chance we were in neighborhood for something else.Had the smoked wings, very good and hand cut fries these were done right and not soggy and limp at all. Would recommend lunch was great, service very good also.
Very dark. Waitress was not especially friendly. Rib tips had a lot of fat and gristle. The fries were great though.
Definitely better second time eating there. Dont like the beer sauce sorry dont like any beer or alcohol it makes me sick to my stomach and the smell gives me a headache otherwise food definitely better.
I am really confused about this BBQ. Its tender, but no charcoal flavor or markings. Which leads me to believe its boiled then baked. The fries are great, but the meat not great. If you like boiled meat with bbq sauce then this is the place for you.
Food was good but prices were alittle high for what we found out was more bar then restaurant.
As usual, the food was fantastic. I had their Q-shoe and it was quite tasty with an abundance of brisket. I will definitely be back sooner or later.
I have tried most of the menu items, and they have all been great. They also have good drink specials throughout the week. Plus, they have a great, four season, beer garden.
A friend and I went there Sunday .. outside with everyone else the place was packed all the servers were more than happy to see us the owner was there giving everybody a hand by far the best eating experience Ive had in Peoria in a year. Thank you James you were a great server and made our experience even better
I ordered thru a 3rd party and I was not pleased the ribs tips did not come off a grill like at home no smoky flavor whats so ever! Then I asked for a spicy bbq sauce they put a spice rub on there instead and no sauce wowwwww who does that! And for the whiskey battered o rings more whiskey soaked rings no crunch to them at all now it was my first time but well see what happens next time maybe
We went Saturday in eve around 8...There are very limited people and waitress told some problem is there in kitchen you may not get any except pork.We really disappointed after 10 min they have fixed that issues and took order in the menu.Food is good and cheap...But drinks are not so good and varieties.Main crowd started after 10.Overall its aveg place
Had a couple of beers there recently and some guy started fighting with someone else. He was kicked out of the place. 15 minutes later the owner let him back in! BIG SAFETY ISSUE! Dont bring your kids unless you like them watching bar fights!
Country Fried Chicken was awesome, next time I go Ill try the ribs also the dry rub wings and boneless wings are really good, Really friendly atmosphere
Im a driver for post mates upon entering the bartender Amanda greeted me and took my order while engaging in conversation making sure my order was placed correctly and done in a timely manner Thank you Amanda for your service and hopefully I can be of service to deliver to you and your family.
I got a little bit of their pulled pork and brisket and I tried all four of their signature barbecue sauces I even bought a bottle of the root beer signature sauce that they make there and everything was absolutely delicious.
Best wings Ive found! Try jerk and rib rub with an IPA.Staff is nice. Cigar smoking out back, a little dark on the inside. Prices are fair.
Even w/o the tangy Carolina IPA or the sweet Blueberry Moonshine BBQ sauces, the ribs were smoky delicious! The two BBQ sauces I used did just enough to add to the flavor w/o overwhelming the smokiness.
Spicy barbecue wings were excellent and the service was great. Prices were reasonable.
