OYO Hotel Downtown Peoria I-74

Absolutely the worst place I’ve ever been to. It has nothing but drug addicts and Alcoholics. The pla e looks nothing like online . Everything was old dirty and broken. The door wouldn’t lock. I was charged a cash fee but the attendant and I watched him take the money to buy something to smoke. It’s a hell no and never again for me. It’s rating no stars but I couldn’t give that option.

We stayed at the Peoria, IL location. I wouldn’t have felt safe staying if my significant other hadn’t been with me. I saw no bugs; the only positive thing I have to say. Also, the so called “discounts “ they have are not really discounts at all. Pay close attention to prices when checking out. The front desk clerk reminded me of a villain in a psychotic thriller/ horror movie. Seriously.

Checked in, looked at room, checked out. My daughter was scared and I could not even make her stay there. Last minute booking. I would not recommend this place to any one especially if you have any children with you. The bathroom door looked af if it had been kicked in. The floor was sticky. And the bed was dirty.

Polite and friendly staff with an understanding demeanor. Beds are really really comfy. No real complaints. Especially with such an affordable price.

Rooms disgusting everything is peeling from the wall to the to the dresser to the showers service he was rude the old man was rude wen I asked for new sheets he got upset said they didn’t have any n told me I could leave if I wanted to argue when I was not arguing at all the health department needs to shut this down the room was small do not spend your money here building needs to be demolished asap!!!!

I do not recommend this place at all . This was a last minute reservation since the original hotel we booked at canceled our reservation without notifying us. As soon as we walked in the room there was an awful smell , and stains on the furniture. I was too scared to even check the sheets. The door barely closed , and I just didn’t feel very safe. The guy at the front told my husband we have 15 mins to cancel the reservation so when we went to cancel he was extremely rude. We still got charged even though we walked in the room then walked backed out. We weren’t even there for a full 5 minutes. Unless I get a refund I do not want a reply from this hotel on here . It was just a terrible experience.

I gave locations 5 stars because that is the only reason I stayed at this hotel . The location was 3 minutes from hospital I was visiting. The pictures are not like the rooms or else I would have stayed a little further from hotel to be comfortable. Very uncomfortable stay. Mostly because of the smell , it smells like a zoo. It smells like that because dogs and cats are all around the hotel, it seems as if people are living there with their pets. The service is terrible, the manager is very short tempered I ask him a question and he threaten to make me leave after asking a simple question. The best thing about stay was that even tho the linen was stained , we didn’t get bit by bugs, bed bugs etc…I wasn’t going to do a review but I was continuously reminded to do one so here it is ..

It was one of the more... ghetto places. The outlets didnt work, burn marks on the desks, the whole thing. It was dirt cheap though!

This place need to be shut down immediately. Stains on every piece of fabric. The door barely shut and looked like it had been broken into. Bathroom was filthy. The very rude woman working desk refused refund after 5 minutes after checking in. Shame on you. Spend a little more and go somewhere else. I seriously have no idea how they are allowed to operate this way.

Had a great stay. Wonderful service and great location near downtown Peoria. Rooms were neat and clean.

I made a reservation and paid for three days for a relative. Due to her behavior, they kicked her out before the first night, which is understandable. However, they told her my money would be refunded and it was not.

The location and price is were the good ends. When we were here for a couple hours there were multiple police officers for hours, people literally knocking on doors for money, and just a very Erie dingy feeling on the entire property. Spend the extra 30-40 dollars and stay somewhere else.

Don’t stay here.. just spend the extra money. disgusting conditions. stains all over bed and towels. broken chair, mold on ceiling. toilet never stops making noise after a flush. nonsmoking room but still smells atrocious, plus cigarette burn on bedsheets and all over the curtains. i found those stains in the middle of the night and actually left to go sleep across the backseat of my car, which was way more comfortable

One of the grossest rooms Ive ever stayed in, and that includes countries without modern plumbing. The pictures they post of the rooms are not accurate. This place is falling apart.

Firstly, they cancelled my initial reservation and made me take a room with only one bed when I specifically requested 2. The new room was terrible. There was blood stains on the floor, there was holes in the walls and doors, the desk service was rude, aggressive, and disrespectful to me and my friends due to the color of our skin as well as our tattoos. During our stay, there was several instances of an individual on substances being obnoxious and trying to fight the guests. It was so bad the police were called to arrest him. If you have any other options, I would highly recommend taking them over staying with these people at this location ever again.

I get calls every day for Andrew I tell him every day I’m not Andrew delete my number and they keep calling me. Worst place ever they will not even let you speak to a manager.

Stayed two nights with my daughter while escaping our abuser and though the prices were nice, the bedding had bloodstains, they refused to give Wi-Fi password, I booked for $57 a night only to be charged 87 when I got here. Lots of drug activity, and sketchy characters. Not safe at all do not waste your money!

This place is the biggest dump I have ever seen. The pictures are not of the room I got holes in walls ceiling tiles falling down. It was so bad I had paid for 2 nights and never stayed there was scared to sleep there. When told owner or manager the place was a true dump nothing like photos off Priceline he told me I was ban for life as if I would ever go back and then was calling police guess being honest that his place is absolutely a dump was too hard to handle

The entire place wreaked of bleach and the exterior of the building looked and felt unsafe. Not a single feature of the hotel or its rooms were comforting or welcoming in any way. We showed up to the hotel an hour before our booked check in and left and hour after arriving because it was just so off-putting.

I don’t expect much from motels, but i at least expect the place im going to sleep to be somewhat clean. this is easily the worst place i have stayed. weird stains everywhere, poor patch jobs on the walls. toilet didn’t flush half the time because it kept running like it had just been flushed. worst part was the awful stains on the bed, a big yellow one and a few dark brown spots that i can only assume is blood. everything has a weird greasy film on it and felt sticky. smelled terrible. most people describe it as cigarette smoke, and there were burn holes all over on the bed and the curtains, but it smelled more like an awful BO-oniony odor to me. the ac filter looked dirty and moldy, and smelled like something was burning when we turned on the heat at night. i forgot a picture of it but there was a few splotches that i can only assume was mold. i’m ashamed to say i slept here and didn’t notice these things first.

The room was just simply put together with left over wood as a desk, no wifi (maybe I didn’t get the password), brand new hard mattress on simple bed frame, very thin towels and no ice!We reserved a king sized bed and up with a smaller bed. Manager was polite though. I guess we got what we paid for.

It is somehow cheaper for the local drug pop. Than paying people. The staff is one man with trust issues. One for one swap of towels. He wont give wifi password unless he writes it down for u. All in all cheap place

Going to flat out honest, do not stay here. My wife and I were in town for 2 days and while we did not have any real interaction with the staff. The rooms had bed bugs that we discovered the second night so we just stick it out. Room and emminities were nothing like the photos on the website. Not sure why but someone wasnusing power tools at 9pm on another room.Like who does that? I wish I would have a little more research and found another hotel or tried to get my money back. Though by looking at other reviews that probably would not have any good.

If I could put less than one star I would. My team and I show up to two rooms that have cockroaches in the windows and beds. The beds also had pee stains and who knows what else on the beds. There was also blood stains on the desk. We instantly left when we saw the conditions. What is also great is we got no refund from the hotel. So if you feel like wasting some money and potentially staying somewhere with some health code violations then this place is for you.

Let the pictures speak for themselves. The room was warm on arrival, and took several hours to cool down enough to sleep. The only positive is that the non-smoking room didnt smell like smoke, the toilet was clean, and the night clerk was very nice.

Staff are friendly, they really look out for children so if you have a child then its a great place. The location is great because its located just blocks from restaurants and gas stations. In house laundry services to wash your clothes. Rooms are clean, bedding looks NEW! Plenty of parking with security cameras in use. 24 hour front lobby. Great stay here! Thanks everyone! The place is unsafe. Very run down, smelled of bleach, shady people that seem to be living there and oh yea,. Im pretty certain there was an early morning shooting. Price might be awesome but so not worth the risk.

0 stars....they have bed bugs. Me and my wife were staying the night because of an issue at home. We went in the forst 2 nights in room 213. July 3rd we were given room 206 and found a few hours later that were were laying in bed bugs...we informed the night clerk and were told to leave. No refund was issued and they called the cops after accusing of lying and after an employee threatened my wife. They should be ashamed of themselves. Of i could post pictures of the bugs and the whole incident i would. I would never recommend anyone stay there.

Upon arrival I noticed the floors were not mopped (some sticky substance), dresser drawers were dirty, microwave was dirty, there was a little piss around the toilet, pubic hair in one of the washcloths and the shower wouldnt drain. The outside isnt pleasant to look at either. Also, I come to Peoria to work at OSF 4 days a week. I work overnights. When I arrived from work I noticed my room wasnt the way I had left it the night before. This was odd because nothing had been cleaned up but I could tell someone had been in my room while I was at work. So before leaving for work the next night I put a shoe box on the counter and put a jacket over it. I took a picture so I could reference it when I returned from work. When I got back from work the next morning the jacket had been removed from the shoe box completely and my room hadnt been cleaned while I was away. I didnt leave anything of great value there so nothing was stolen but I dont like people looking through my possessions.

They were great. My kids n i stayed there a few months. Paul keeps it clean and boss man and his sons keep it safe. Tom(boss man) is a no nonsense type man. No illegal activities or loitering is allowed. Felt safe coming and going. Love them like family!

AVOID. One star only because there is no zero star. Complete bait and switch. The rooms look absolutely nothing like the pictures. The place is rundown - broken doors, leaks in ceiling, plywood furniture, duct tape holding things together... Its the kind of place where you can knock on the next room over and ask what are you selling and how much. (Hookersville/Drug den) We took one look at the location and the room and asked for a refund immediately. Avoid at all costs. There are other options in the same price range that are nicer and safer.

This was the worst motel I have ever been at!!! Walked into the room 117 the wire was cut to the lights the tv and microwave didnt work and asked for a refund they told me where to go and they said they could give me another room Im a smoker and there were no non-smoking rooms left. He then proceeded to get mad and kicked me out and said if you dont leave Ill call the police. The company of oyo has to speak with the staff. They also charged me for a damage fee. The damages where done before I arrive I had only been checked in for 10 minutes before I told staff. I took pictures of the wires and the plug for the light was behind the head of the bed. This could have been a serious fire issue. Never will go back again. I recommend before u check in to ask to check rooms first before u pay.

They tried to charge me thirty dollars for a towel. They shouldve PAID me thirty dollars to touch the towels... This is the cheapest motel in town. You get what you pay for... This is a crack motel. The management watch like Hawks and are quick to kick out anyone with any suspicious activity (drug deals must be conducted across the street at Dunkin Donuts). Bed bugs, roaches and dirty. They do have cable, though. No ashtrays.

One of the worse places Ive ever spent a night in and Ive been in prison. I had weird people knocking on my door at 6am, Im pretty sure my next door neighbor was selling crack. Weird stains on the walls, half of my bed smelled like old man so I turned around and slept in the other side. I am not speaking in hyperbole when I say this was one of my worse experiences in Peoria

Dirty. Stinky.no real service .they even charged me for a day I didnt stay. Ripoff manager says it dont matter. I have your info on file.i didnt stay that night but he charged me anyway. Cause he has all your info on file he can rip you off anytime he wants. Dont stay there!I tried to get my money back. He just laughed at me and hung up. Ill find a way to get my money back. Worst Hotel I ever been too, PaulPaul was very rude, ask him for a copy of my receipt cause there was so many rules, he said he has to notify the police because I asked for a copy” “ if there’s a guest in your room past 10 you will get out by the police” etc etc, roof of bathroom carving in. Rooms are emaculant, clean n cozy. The staff are very friendly, the Wi-Fi is fast and there are nice flat screen Tvs with an endless amount of channels to choose from, tons of cartoons to choose from for my little one as well. The beds are also extremely comfortable. If 10 stars were an option I wouldve rated it at that 😊👍

It was terrible the floor was terribly terribly dirty made my socks black I was told I couldnt check in till 3:00 in the afternoon if I checked in before that it would cost me an extra $25 and my check out time would be 3:00 the next day but then I was told to leave at 11:00 a.m. the next day I do not recommend.

This hotel has BED BUGS its disgusting. The rooms are dirty and have a musty smell and when we brought the bed bugs to the attention of mgmt they denied it (even when the manager was looking right at them crawling on the bed) and refused to let us move rooms or give us a refund. They claim they spray the rooms every week for bugs and have no clue how they got there MF THE BED BUGS GOT THERE CAUSE YALL HAVE AN INFESTATION. If you have any ounce of self respect DO NOT STAY HERE. Pay $10 more and go to Red Roof; or ANYWHERE else, really.

DO NOT STAY HERE by far the worst experience at a hotel ever, booked a week… couldn’t get new towels because “every room has two till cleaning day” they didnt even clean our room or replace our towels on the supposed “cleaning day”... im by no means a “Karen” but im looking out for people who wanna get what they pay for and you’re better off at a homeless shelter for a better stay.

Stayed there a week during that week i found a sex toy underneath the bed, had roaches in my room and when i said something to the clerk he got mad at me and accused me of lying about the bugs. To top it off he kicked me out for having a friend stay the night once. Worst experience at a hotel in my life if you plan on stayig there i would suggest going to motel six out by the mall in peoria 60$ a night and one of the nicest rooms i have stayed in it had been remodeled. Motel six also had free wifi with a one time password entry the townehouse you have to go to the front desk everyday and get a password and only one allowed per room. DO NOT STAY HERE!I also had about 5 different people ask me who were staying there if i could find drugs for them, not a good place to stay with your kids and i had a friend stop by just for a minute and the hotel clerk also accused me of selling or buying drugs.

Im posting this review because I always have a great experience with OYO HOTEL IN PEORIA ON KNOXVILLE !!! THERE IS A EMPLOYEE NAMED PAUL WHO ALWAYS CATERS TO MY NEEDS!!! IF ITS STAYS OVER FOR A COUPLE OF HOURS TO NEEDING A IRON TO PRESS MY UNIFORMS !!! HE IS THERE!!! BUT MAINLY HE KEEPS THE HOTEL SAFE !!!

Its not the staff, but the building needs to be condemned. There is dust, mold, budily fluid stains on the furniture and bed. The ceiling is coming down in the bath room.

If the owners would be more appreciative that would be nice but other then that

This is hands down the worst motel Ive ever stayed at in my life. If you are in a desperate situation, find a safe parking lot and stay in your car instead.

Old motel, room clean but beat up (holes in curtains, patches in walls, loose door/lock). Staff friendly. Location perfect for me - close to highways.

I am a regular guest at this location. All things considered (location, prices, staff/employees, etc...) I would absolutely recommend the OYO in Peoria to anyone that needs somewhere to crash for a night or two.

Price was cheap but room was dirty.. We paid for 3 days.. They refuse to give you clean towels ect.. And when we went to extend our stay 2 more nights they tried to acused my boyfriend of breaking stuff in a room we wasnt even in.. And tried to charge us extra and was being very rude..

No Covid-19 Protocols, Rooms found not clean and non-availability of room service, There wasnt any breakfast area or food court in the Hotel. Need to go out of the Hotel for Food.

Clean family runned great people however cause of exstreamly great prices and the neighborhood it sits in just make sure you lock your doors and try and only go outsideWith a friend.

This was just horrible, I had to put a 25 Dollar deposit on the room, that had no blanket for the bed, if you want to call it that. It looked like something for the jail. Ill not be staying again. VERY disappointed.
