The Funhouse at Mr. Smalls

The place was well ventilated, so we werent melting while rocking out. Also had free water, so nobody collapsed during a heatwave. Beers were reasonably priced. Did get to try some fries, which were good. I kept hearing from everyone else there that the burgers were good. Lots of stairs, but then again my big booty needs the extra steps. Lol

Intimate venue for great local and regional bands to jam and dance to. Seating is limited. The adjacent kitchen serves really good hamburgers! At reasonable prices.

Fun small venue with great food and staff. Professional atmosphere and plenty of outdoor space to step out for a break from the action. Parking could be a lot better, especially when there is another show in the main theater, so carpool as much as possible or you will be hiking.

Mr. Smalls is a regional gem that supports great, young talent like Jacob Beck and Leisure Sport. Everyone should spend time there!

Great space, great sound, and great to take in shows. Acousticafe is also not to be missed, such talent in this city and a welcoming space to enjoy it.

Awesome place, great people, good food, decent priced drinks and most of all..the bands were AMAZING, especially Melt...a co-worker of mine plays in that band. (He has the long hair in the pictures of the band)The 2 Bands that played prior to Melt, they were awesome as well. I would definitely recommend it and would definitely go back again.

Great place to catch an act in an intimate setting with great sound and lights, good food and a friendly helpful staff. Highly recommended

I went for battle of the Bands. Turns out that show was solely picked by who sold the most tickets. NO TALENT in either of the Bands that won. Cant hit a note for anything. While there was other bands with pure talent and you mean to tell me they didnt place??? Very disappointed and let down on this one, as many others are and I hoped they voiced there opinion as well because you wasted my time with what the outcome was. DISBELIEF. I WILL NEVER BE BACK BECAUSE THIS PLACE IS CLEARLY ALL ABOUT THE MONEY, Rather than talent!! YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED!! Not to mention the place was filthy, shoes stuck to the floor due to not cleaning bc I was there before venue even started. I give this place an F

Saw the Criticals , what an awesome band. Catatonia was the opener theyre awesome as well. Mr. Smalls was different than any where Ive been, but it was great!

Great show, lucky to man a couple seats, SRO for many. Otherwise it is a nice room.

This is a cool little venue. Small enough to be intimate, big enough not to feel too crowded. Good selection of craft beers, and prices were reasonable for a music venue. Bartender was very professional and nice. Cash only and the metal detector scan seemed silly.

Drove out here to Pittsburgh to come here to see a band called the number 12 looks like you. We came all the way from Detroit it was nearly a five hour drive but it was worth it. This venue was easy to find parking was very easy we parked on the street right outside the venue. The staff was very nice and the venue was very clean. The bar was stocked with lots of different drinks and beers it was great. The drinks were a little high in price but thats to be expected when youre at a bar thats having a live band playing. If Im ever back in Pittsburgh I will definitely come back here and check this place out again.

A nice intimate place fir a show. They have AC now which makes the world of a difference! The only reason it isnt 5 stars is, I wish there were more tables/seats. But a great place overall!

Me and my girlfriend went and saw Supermega Live! there and it was incredible, yes it is a tight venue but no matter where you are sitting or standing you feel like you could reach out and touch the performers! Thank you so much Matt and Ryan for an awesome show and if you get a chance you should see a show there everyone else!

This place is really a hidden gem - if youre looking for a hole in the wall with some charm and character, the fun house is really worth checking out. Ive been going to the Monday night open mics for years - and theyre a real staple of the Pittsburgh music scene.

Thank you to the door woman Katie, she was extremely helpful, understanding and just lovely. This place is lucky to have such a wonderfully pleasant person working there. Cant wait to go back!

Would not recommend if you’re looking for a good poetry night. The music and performances were all terrible. Ridiculous priced drinks and food.

Kind of cramped and strangely laid out, but the sound system was good and the soundboard guy played great music between bands.

Really enjoyed the staff. The talent at this evenings performance was great . Will come back.
