As a non-smoker, the toxic secondhand smoke is a significant health concern and drastically affects the clubs atmosphere, earning just 1 star in this regard.Additionally, Tilden does not serve food, which is a major drawback. Having bar snacks like chips, peanuts, or pretzels would be a simple yet effective improvement. Currently, this lack of food options merits a 3-star rating.Regarding drinks, the club charges $5.00 for non-alcoholic beverages like ginger ale and cranberry juice. Given the flat taste of the ginger ale and the high price for soft drinks, this is another area where Tilden falls short, deserving another 3-star rating.One of the most troubling aspects is the blatant drug usage and transactions happening on the premises. Its clear that the management has turned a blind eye to this issue, creating an unsafe environment. This significant oversight earns Tilden just 1 star for safety and management.Despite these issues, Tilden Night Club does offer a fun and vibrant atmosphere with a diverse crowd. The people are friendly, and its a great place to dance and socialize. However, improvements in air quality, snack availability, drink pricing, and safety are essential for a better experience.Overall, I recommend Tilden for its unique membership model and vibrant community, but be prepared for the challenges outlined above.

I work in the service industry so it’s very convenient to go to Tildin after work. But they really really have gone Downhill with its memberships. A few months ago I had paid for another membership as that is something that we are suppose to do yearly, And I had no problem doing that. But then last month I tried to come back and the lady said that I need a card in order to prove my membership. Well I didn’t get a card. They wrote my ID down In a book just like they had done everybody else that came in that night For a membership. They didn’t give me a card. Last month when I tried to get in, there was other people also trying to get in that had the same problem. Why didn’t they just look in the book to see that we had gotten memberships? The lady there said that they don’t have the book. So essentially they got my personal information and let me in for one day and expect me to pay a whole other membership which is like $60 or something like that. That is not going to happen. They really be milking Everyone for their money. Even the price of drinks are crazy. You can’t even get a ice water without paying a crazy price of $5. For as much money as I spend up there to have to pay another membership would be crazy. Please fix this issue Tilden!!!!

You have to be a member, but you can purchase a membership at the door. It’s a neat option if you wanna keep the party going after all the other bars and clubs close. It picks up aground 2:00am.

Membership program is a total scam. The cards don’t include your one year expiration date. So every once in a while “the board members” decide that all cards of a certain color are “expired” and you must purchase a new $40 membership. I had only had my card for two months when it was “confiscated” and I was given a different colored one that would be expiring in 6 months. I met someone inside who had just purchased his card two weeks prior just to be told the card color had expired and he would need to purchase a new one……when I disputed it the owner got rude and defensive and preached about how they have “been in business for 29 years with 1700 members.” (That may be so, but she’s lucky she’s getting the immensely intoxicated after-hours crowd who are desperate for a place to herd to once the bars close and willing to play into her corrupt system.) I was so shocked at her lack of professionalism that I thought she was a bouncer lying about being the owner. Sadly, the bartenders validated her identity.Edit: Scrolling through other reviews it is appalling and scary how little accountability the owner takes. My favorite was someone sharing that they never got change back, the owner denying that anyone with their name was in attendance that night, and then the actual bartender following up with an apology and explanation for the mishap. No integrity - yikes.

My favorite spot… a phenomenal after hours place and community gathering point. I feel safe and welcomed every time I’m here. Shout out to Sam, one of the best bartenders. Nick and Kelly are also amazing. I cannot recommend this spot enough. $40 for one year of after hours- that’s a steal compared to any other city. Though drinks may be kind of expensive, vibes are priceless. Everyone is welcome.

The bartenders dont bring your change back, kind of annoying but not a huge deal. Whats crazy is telling the bartender theres a broken beer bottle on the dance floor and they just left it there. Glad the meth head twirling for the gods and throwing himself on the floor didnt get cut up.Edited for response*Your rigorous system isnt working because I was definitely there. My suggestion would be to kick out someone who is obviously tweaking and dropped a half full beer bottle on the dance floor and sweep it up when someone tells the bartender about it. Oh and give people their change back when they order a drink.

I used to travel from college WVU in 1982 to this place. It used to be the only after hours lounge open after Pegasus closed. Oh the times I had!!! I met my first partner there at HOTilden!

In Aug 2021 my girlfriend and I were just passing thru Pittsburgh on our Road trip and came across this Gem. We had one of the best nights of our trip there. Everyone there was welcoming and friendly, staff and patrons/members. You were free to express yourself and enjoy night life. Even though we are from out of state it was totally worth the membership. We will definitely stop there and gladly renew the membership next time we pass by there. PS they were up front then about the upcoming membership changes the night we signed up so I dont think theyre trying g to get anything over on anyone just improving the business to upgrade your experience ....thats how I view it

I dont understand some of these bad reviews. A few of us went to tilden last night and had a GREAT time, for a late night club the drink prices fall right into club prices. The bartenders were great and did a wonderful job recommending shots for us. Loved the music too. We will definitely come back.

Purple child did an awesome job DJing. Courtney and Sam were friendly and attentive for service. Sonny the owner is personble and super nice to talk to.

The Tilden is worth every bit of the membership money I paid,especially since I come from Erie to go there. I make sure I hit up the Tilden every time I’m in town. it has a great atmosphere, and good music, and the bartenders are excellent.

Dont go on Monday, person working the door made me purchase a new membership card after only 6 months when they are supposed to last a year. She believed it wasnt my card because she read the number wrong on my ID.

We went here on my friend’s 21st birthday. Tried to return with our memberships and they said they were expired because they’re only good for one year. She’s not 22 yet! The owner is incredibly rude and acted like we were idiots, when it would be chronologically impossible for the memberships to be a year old.

This place refused to a combat veteran and his combat service dog entry into this establishment. Sorry for asking to enter into a place that’s against Veterans and disabled ppl. The owner was very rude and disrespectful to say the least. He is a service animal (NOT A PET) that has been trained for that atmosphere. He has been subjected to combat situations and now serves as a service dog under Ada laws are permitted to enter any establishment that people are allowed in To forbid this combat team to enter this establishment is a disgrace to this country and what it stands for. Not only do you spit on the veterans that has given their lives for this country and the sacrifices made by every veteran that has service this great nation! This establishment should be ashamed of its conduct and pay respect to veterans and those individuals who are disabled!

I dont even know what to rate it. We were there Friday night heard good things so went to check it out. First impressions OMFG the woman at the door while we were purchasing memberships was loud rude and obnoxious toward other people just about fist fighting, so we get past that. Wonderful music n atmosphere 🎶 👌🏻 went to the bar when she finally came to us after she finished her important conversation 🤦‍♀️ she was a little clueless on a drink. Moving on dancing was great ok back at the bar again waiting n waiting n the other bartender on the end noticed we were standing there she helped us immediately while apologize for not getting served properly we continued to mingle had a good time and thanks to the barmaid who the rest of the night was whipping drinks out faster than I could orde got a nice . BIG TIP she deserved it.. zShe is what will make us cone back . The other 2 were embarrassing

This place is an entire scam operation and borderline illegal. The sad sad sonny who stands there miserable as heck charging for what used to be a good place. Constantly “losing” memberships and harassing people. Don’t look at that roach wrong or she will blacklist you from a bar with watered down overpriced drinks. Actually look up the owner, she was on trial for murder. Makes sense.

A great place if youre looking to get your drink on with others, along with some house music and possible illegal drugs (from the rumors Ive heard) after hours. I mean, really late, like they open their doors at 4 a.m. if I remember correctly, late.Drinks are, or course, exceptionally overpriced due to the fact that they are one of, if not the only bar in downtown Pittsburgh that is open past 3 a.m. They arent particularly well made, either (bottom shelf booze, the same drink can range significantly in taste and alcohol content).But, if youre looking for an after-hours spot that seems to be pretty bumpin any day of the week, check this place out. Just keep in mind there is a yearly, one-time membership fee of around $40 to enter.

If you’re an old geezer like me, you might remember the after hours club that used to be on the low #s end of East Carson street in the early ‘aughts...this place is a bit like that, except they only played house music that was mostly trance or weirdly low-key EDM, and it was mostly bad. I get that a “private club” won’t have a full bar, but they have an ENORMOUS bar with lots of liquor bottles that it seems you can’t drink from, either because they’re just for show or because the bartender didn’t know how to make anything that wasn’t liquor + a soda.He was friendly enough, so that was nice, and wasn’t at all rude in telling us that our choices were very limited. The drinks were moderately/reasonably priced, and there was a nice combination of dance floors and seating space. It’s smoke-friendly and the ventilation is terrible.Also, the advertised price for membership is $30, but when we arrived it was instead $40.In sum, this place seems more about late-night necessity than being a chosen destination.

This place used to be nice. Its absolutely terrible now. The staff are the most rude people I have ever met. Its an after-hours bar, which means you much purchase a $40 membership for entry. That would be ok if the drinks were priced reasonably and the staff were nice. Its unfortubet that neither of those are true. I recommend you stay away!!

Wish I could go back in time and avoid this place altogether. Bouncers are insanely rude and service is unacceptably bad... have never been so blatantly insulted by a bouncer. They were unable to “locate” 5+ people’s memberships. “Cover” is $40 which is also a membership but they “cannot locate” so many people’s memberships that they all just have to pay again- all for ONLY AN HOUR AND A HALF inside the club!!! At 3:30 sharp, the DJ shut the music off and said “manager just texted me to shut down.” Truly never had such a horrible time just trying to enter a club in my life. I’m now on a mission for this place to pay for screwing over so many people. They are so scammy!!! Stay away!!!

So. The other night my girlfriend and i went to tilden to dance a little longer see our friends and have fun. A few months prior we stopped in after a show, paid the membership fee and havent gone back since, not due to any issues, because we havent been to a show in a while.Well Wednesday 8/23/17, we left a local venue and stopped down, only to find that my membership was valid but my girlfriends had been cancelled and blacklisted by the owner per the person taking membership payments. The owner doesnt know either of us, and the person at the membership desk was least helpful. Telling us that the owner blacklisted her and wouldnt give us a reason. Even after explaining that we have only been there once which was when we paid for the membership. The person at the desk just shouted about how we had to take it up with sonney (the owner) and refused to give us details on how to do so.We still do not have any idea what the reason that she was blacklisted. There were several others the having the same experience that night.The whole experience was frustrating and poor customer service. I hope to hear from the owner, and will try to go another night to see if my membership is still active, if it isnt... Id be wondering if it is due to this review.All in all it is a nice club has some good edm the and if your membership keeps working a great after hours bar.

6 of my friends and and I paid $40 to get memberships on the same night in September. When we went back their “system” said only two of us had memberships. Only good thing about this place is the nice bouncer in front.

I love it here the music is usually great. Servers are fast. I had a couple bad experiences but it’s whatever’s it’s a great place for edm and ppl who just love to dance. Although the bathrooms are horrible it’s like jail style metal toilets. But who uses them?

I was here on Monday and had so much fun. Everybody was nice, chill. Good music, good vibes. Pretty cool that its open for afterhours during the week too. Its nice for a server to have place to go after work!

My all time favorite after hours spot in Pittsburgh hands down!! Love the atmosphere! Such a clean and upscale environment compared to any of the other after hours clubs in town. The music is always on point and DJ setro kills it every weekend and brings in a great crowd with awesome energy! I highly recommend this place to anyone who likes edm music and wants to dance the night away!

Amazing Nightclub!! Very professional and friendly staff. Drinks are reasonable and the ambiance is unlike anything else in Pittsburgh. Im a former employee and still treated like family whenever I go.

The ideal after hours experience! A diverse group of people come here- grad students, international visitors and young professionals. Membership is affordable, the staff is friendly and the music is great! Will be visiting again soon.

They “accidentally put my drivers license in there safe” when I was resigning up to be a member I contacted the police who came and looked at the video footage and confirmed that they did put it in there safe and I filed a complaint but the assistant manager was very dismissive and even lied to the police about checking all and all don’t go to this place it’s not worth it too many bad reviews
