I really like the overall ambiance, flexibility of online scheduling and their hours/days of operation - it makes it easy for a busy schedule. I’ve seen a few of their massage therapist now and have always had a positive experience. Michael, Nicolette and Donald have all done a great job when I’ve seen them. Staff have always been kind and helpful!I have only good things to say!!

Mary was a rockstar masseuse! My whole experience at The Now for the first time was perfect. Relaxing, clean and efficient. The design of the space was unlike any place I’ve been for a massage. Boho, minimal, low lighting and sound machines that made me feel like I was on a beach. I left feeling rested and more at ease. Five stars and highly recommend!

Had an amazing massage with Heather at this location. She asked about my problem areas, applied the perfect pressure, and was very nice. The overall atmosphere at this place is very luxurious and relaxing. The pricing is also affordable and comparable to other massage places. You should definitely get a membership to save and treat yourself monthly!

Talk about total relaxation and feeling like youre on a tropical island. I was so impressed with the service and look and feel of the massage boutique. From the moment you enter the building until you leave you feel like you are at a high end resort. The massage was phenomenal and I couldnt be more relaxed. I asked the therapist if she could work on my shoulders and arms, she did a wonderful job and told me some great techniques on straightening my shoulders. I LOVE the ocean vibes in the massage room, it created a relaxing environment. The add ons are a must try especially the Gua sha!! I felt like the tool was combing my muscles and taking tension away. Will be back again soon!

If you are wanting to find that unicorn massage therapist that can really dig in, feel your bodys reactions and pain points, find all the knots, and firmly work them out without leaving you in pain... Go see Ellie!! Just dont try to book her when Im trying to book her. Lol! We came in for massages at the same time and absolutely loved the atmosphere with the Caribbean bungalow decor in the back with fabric like ship sails and beautiful knot work and overhead wicker globes. Try this place out for sure... Just leave me a spot to book!!!

I am extremely disappointed with this massage business. They charged me twice in one month, which is unacceptable. When I scheduled an appointment for the following month, I was informed that my membership no longer existed, even though they had charged me the monthly membership fee. As a result, I didn’t receive the massage that I had paid for that month. This is incredibly frustrating and unprofessional. I expect better service and accountability from a business that deals with memberships and personal care. I do not recommend this place to anyone.

Mackenzie was amazing! My first massage and I felt so comfortable. I was nervous lol but wanted to try as I have lots of tension due to stress and anxiety. All concerns were lifted for me! Will be returning and requesting her in future!

One of the best massages I have ever had! I get bad muscle spasms. I went with the NOW massage and added the heat therapy! It was so great! Except after talking with my friend I only got the heat on my back . Apparently she got a vest for the front that relaxes shoulder and all so I would of loved to have that since I paid for it but it was great.

I loved the ambiance. Krista was pleasant and very helpful. Nicole did a phenomenal job with my massage. I will definitely be requesting her for my monthly massages.

The atmosphere is just…amazing from the moment you walk into the lobby to when you go behind the two doors! It feels like a resort style place…with the wave sounds to the lighting. Just wonderful! UPDATE:I was able to go back after this and I truly had a great massage. Thank you!I made an appointment that I was looking forward to. As I was sitting in the lobby awaiting my appointment, I was informed my therapist had called out, 30 minutes prior to my appointment. Although I am glad she did not come in if she was sick, I believe that is extremely unprofessional. They require a 12 hour cancellation policy, but are allowed to cancel your appointment 30 minutes prior. I was offered to come back 4 hours later, but that was the only time I had available. I was extremely disappointed with how this was handled. Hopefully no one else has the same experience.

Michael Taylor was amazing! I go for the Stretch and generally like firmest pressure/whatever is necessary to get the knots out- this definitely did it!

UPDATE: changing my review to 4 stars - both the manager and regional manager reached out. My experience was much better the second time. I appreciated their responsiveness and willingness to make things right._____________________________________While the therapist was very sweet, it didn’t appear that she was a trained or certified massage therapist at all. The entire session felt like a half-hearted attempt at a massage by someone who had never given one before, and it started late and didn’t end up being anywhere near 50 minutes.I was a member of the Midtown Raleigh location for over a year when I lived in N. Raleigh and the experience there was totally different - much more professional and great value for money.

Difficult to relax due to hearing excess noise throughout the massage. The rooms are only separated by a curtain that does not reach the ceiling. This was an odd experience.

I loved my experience at The Now! I was paired with Shannon, who did an AMAZING job of being in tune to my requests, focusing on my most tense areas, and incorporating a healthy mix of massage and stretching. I loved the ambiance of the space, and while I understand the complaints others have mentioned about there not actually being individual rooms, I felt the canvas curtains actually encouraged more reverence of quiet for the other guests. It was certainly less noise or chatter than I’ve experienced at other studios, which I appreciate. Overall, I loved my experience, and I can’t wait to come back!

Loved the ambience, Donald was good but spent a lot of time adjusting the covers. I added on the scalp massage and heat therapy. Donald listened and was attentive. He did a great job on my head. The heat therapy was kinda a joke. It was a heating pad on my back for about 20 mins and at the end of my m assuage I got 4 big breaths of lavender. Not worth 15 dollars at all. Overall, it was really pricy for what I got.

Nice place with the perfectly set ambience. The massages are great. However, they need to sound proof better. Cause you can hear the people next you which ruins the relaxation mood sometimes. That is why they get a 4 stars.

I have had many reasons to not leave the best review of this place but always decided against it. First, the place is beautiful and the location is great. I have been going here on and off since they opened mainly because of its proximity. While Sharneé and Ellie were great therapist I’ve had many massages here that were simply not good. I’ve expressed this many times, as a therapist myself I get everyone isn’t a good fit for you. But when it comes to their billing and communication dept is a mess. Twice now I have filled out the necessary paperwork to either cancel or pause my membership to which it is still being processed. I have called multiple days in a row to which they tell me they don’t know why the paperwork hasn’t gone through but a manager will call me. I still have not received a call, but every day I get a notification that they attempt to charge my account.

First time at NOW and had an amazing experience. Booked with Ellie and had one of the best massages I’ve ever had. The perfect amount of pressure without me ever saying a word, spent extra time on my areas of tension (again, without me ever saying a word)- she just knows. It’s a great vibe and the pricing is really the cherry on top. Will definitely be back.Had an absolutely amazing experience! The massage was customized to my preference and the herbal heat therapy was great for my back pain! The staff is professional and friendly while the facility is clean and relaxing. Highly recommend!

I came here the day before my board exam to do my best to relax and do something for myself. LaToya was incredible and made me feel so comfortable and welcomed. She even gave me a pep talk at the end of my massage which was so sweet and of course not necessary. Its the little things that make these experiences top notch and worth the money. The best massage I have ever had!! The ambiance was not just beautiful but extremely relaxing. The girls up front are super sweet and helpful! Jennifer was delightful at check-in and check-out. She was kind and efficient without making me feel rushed. Max was very tuned in to what my body needed and how I was responding to the massage. They gave consistent (but not intrusive) check-ins on pressure and responded wonderfully each time. I would recommend Max highly.

Every time I’m here for my monthly massage, I end up feeling really relaxed. Ellie is an amazing therapist. The ambience is exactly what I need as I love the beach and when you’re getting massages, it just feels like you’re lying in a cabana getting massaged by the sound of the waves. I’ve been a member as massage envy and massage heights before now (massage heights near me went out of business) and this experience fits more to what I’m looking for when I think of relaxed.

My experience at the NOW was pretty underwhelming. My massage therapist was fine, the pressure was deep and she was really nice. However, I asked for focus and extra time on my shoulders and neck and she barely touched either, spending extra time on my legs instead. I walked out feeling mostly the same and still really tense in my neck/shoulder area, which wasnt great. The massage itself was barely 40 minutes and she finished up well before the 50 minutes on the hour, which was disappointing. I was shocked when I looked at the clock. I am also skeptical of the lotion used during the massage, my therapist either wasnt using enough or its not very good lotion, it felt like my skin was still totally dry.My biggest issue with the NOW was actually the atmosphere. Ive frequented Massage Envy, Hand & Stone, Elements, etc and found them all to be a little clinical, but relaxing and private settings. I was excited about the vibe of the NOW when I walked in to the lobby just based on decor, but as I went back realised the massage room is just that - one big room with spaces separated by canvas that dont go all the way up to the ceiling. To mask sound there is a very loud track of ocean waves playing, which would normally be relaxing but the sounds quality was strange and the track felt comically loud. I still could hear rustling and movement in the rooms next to me and my massage just didnt feel private. The set up just really cheapened the whole experience for me.The redeeming qualities that bumped this from a 1 to 2 star review was the friendliness of my massage therapist and the ease of booking. I dont think Id return though, especially for the price. Ive had better experiences at bigger chains for far less money.

Ive been to a few massage spas and decided to try The Now in Brier Creek. Michelle was my therapist. Michelle was amazing. The best Ive had so far. I felt so relaxed and relieved of tension. The spa is very soothing and tranquil and I would definitely recommend!

Extremely comfortable during all aspects, entrance, massage, exit. Ellie was fantastic at locating knots from my neck to my lower back with just the right amount of pressure. I had signed up for deep tissue which is what she did. I saw an unfortunate review from a woman who had signed up for deep tissue then complained with 2 stars I believe. Further I suspect that she signed up for the wrong massage! Ellie asked me, and I was very comfortable communicating with her. I wouldnt change a thing! I will be back soon very soon.

LaToya did an amazing job on my massage. She was very professional and considerate of my needs. The ambiance creates an Oceanside atmosphere with smooth waves. I will definitely go back to The Now at Brier Creek and most definitely request LaToya.

I enjoy my experience each time and that’s why I drive an hour and a half to receive these services.

The physical setting is very uncomfortable. They took the minimalist style to the extreme to the point that they dont even have a comfortable chair to sit in while you wait for your appointment. They should understand that many people coming in are in pain, so there should be a comfortable place to sit. The only time I could talk to the therapist was in a room with three doors, and I had to stand. Two other therapists entered this room without knocking; one used the door to go to another room, and the second walked in and interrupted the conversation without apology. They don’t have separate rooms; the divisions between rooms are just fabric, so everything is dark all the time. You have to dress and undress in the dark. It felt scary, stressful, and unsafe. They dont have a profile of the therapists training and certification online. I wanted to select a therapist, but not even the people who booked the appointments could tell me the specific training and certification each of their therapists has. They lack basic musts for a massage place. It was a waste of my money. The whole experience was more stressful than helpful.

I booked an 80 minute deep tissue massage with Ellie and it was the best massage I’ve ever had! She listened to my needs and really broke down my knots. To top it off, the space is absolutely beautiful and so relaxing! I felt like I was on vacation. I’ll definitely be back!

I had a 50 min massage with Trinia and she was amazing. She was able to read my body + determine the appropriate pressure from area to area. She was super sweet and professional. The space itself is lovely, relaxing, and clean. If you are looking for an elevated massage experience w/o having to deal with a full service spa, The Now is a great choice!

Sharneè was the best.Ambiance lacked as the waves are sometimes disruptive to the parasympathetic nervous system if a person is seeking massage for healing. The front desk associate wearing the Black Women Matter shirt was highly unprofessional and politically charged for an unnecessarily pricey service that is intended to calm the mind, body and soul. I don’t mind spending money to care for myself but I was calmer before I was faced with a political party slogan, which made it harder for my therapist. In addition, prominent anxiety arose at that point, which really affected my ability to relax and focus on my health. Sharneè worked really hard to alleviate all of that to deliver relaxation to me, I am grateful. She did an amazing job! I may return so I can receive her care, but I’m honestly not sure. When politics are everywhere along with the social unrest, I was more than happy to pay GOOD money to escape it for 80 minutes to handle the anxiety this life causes, but the first thirty minutes of my service was coming down from politics. Weren’t we NOT supposed to discuss politics in polite company?Thanks again Sharneè, you’re an absolute miracle worker!!UPDATE: This establishment banned me from patronage after this review. I was not contacted until I rebooked at which point I was told that I was banned due to this visit. No more and no less. Be careful reviewing! :D

I bring my mom here every year when she comes to visit and usually its a good massage however yesterday was subpar at best. The pressure was weak applied by the masseuse and my mom left the place leaving disappointed. Most probably will not be coming back here again.

I was lucky enough to get an appointment at The Nows Brier Creek location. Lets start with the ambiance, the smell from their signature candle hits you with a nice subtle lavender smell as soon as you walk in. Everything from the chairs they have to sit in while you wait to the immaculate modern bathrooms were just the right touch. The greeting from the staff was cheerful and welcoming. I got a deep tissue massage with the calming hemp lotion. And ... the most important part I got Ellie. She was INCREDIBLE. I dont find a lot of people that can hit the stuff I need. But she did. I felt and still feel great. I will definitely be getting a membership. Five stars isnt enough. This was an amazing experience.

Apparently they count time spent waiting and time spent getting dressed as part of the massage... I bought an 80 minute massage, and ended up getting less than an hour. Then the manager called me to let me know that actually thats standard practice. Whatever massage time you buy - understand that it will be 15+ minutes less than that of actual time.EDIT: Why are you telling me you I received the full allotted time when even counting the time waiting, time to dress, undress, etc at the max time, that it was 77 minutes when I was called?

I had a great experience at NOW Massage in Raleigh near Brier Creek on January 12th. The atmosphere was relaxing and very calming. There can be a clinical feel sometimes in a traditional office space, but NOW does a great job of creating an environment where I felt I was in the middle of a vacation spot without a care in the world.My therapist Cameron was easy to talk with, amazing interpersonal skills and HEARD what I wanted/needed. Her touch (deep tissue) was keenly aware of how my body was responding, and she gave good feedback of what she was feeling in spots that needed work. She also shared how I could work at home to stretch affected areas. All of the staff from reception to management are very professional and knowledgeable about the services and support offered. Looking forward to continued massages with NOW when I can make it happen. Worth every penny.

I just finished my first massage at NOW and can say they have gained a member! The ambiance is amazing, the space is clean, the employees are kind, and the therapists have magic hands. I recommend coming here to alleviate your aches and pains or to simply relax.

Despite the 5-star reviews, I had a bad experience at this spa.  My stretch massage included enhancements of deep tissue (+$15) and hemp calm balm (+$15).  This is a special service for athletes to calm their muscles and relieve tension.  My muscles were sore from three days of dancing, and I had a headache, so I thought it would be perfect.  It was one of the worst massages Ive ever had.  Given that I am over 50 years old with gray hair, you would think I would be given some consideration.  Sadly, I had a bad experience here.  Despite Lucys friendly and pleasant personality, she immediately began working on deep tissue without warming up or grounding.  I instructed her several times to back off (she is very strong) and she did for some things, but continued to dig in over and over.  It turns out that she has a male client who loves her deep massage...but Lucy...Im not that man.  Lucy also talked a lot during the massage.  There was nothing relaxing about it.  I was extremely sore for 3 days after that massage.  I couldnt even lay on my back.  I will never go to this spa again.

I was very comfortable with Donald and my friend loved his massage with the lady chosen for him as well he loved the whole ambiance and the whole ordeal of everything , I will def be coming back .. I even got a membership .

These people are crooks! We have a membership at Midtown and the staff and owner there are wonderful. We tried the new location because it’s closer to our home and accidentally booked not knowing that we couldn’t use our membership there. When my husband arrived and was told he had to pay the full price they charged us anyway even when he did not stay for service. The manager told him that it would be fine and he would not be charged but as soon as he left the owner went through and put his charge through. I own a small business and I always do my best to be fair and make sure my customers are always happy. Thee people are greedy and customer service is horrible I will never ever recommend them or go there again. Our membership and loyalty will always be at Midtown location even though it’s further away.

I had a very painful knot in my shoulder area and she really focused in and knew exactly how to untie it and give me some much needed relief. I would recommend NOW to anyone and I will certainly be back.

Buvana (sp) at the Brier Creek location is unprofessional and rude. I gave the NOW a pass when I was told I had the 80-minute package and they booked my husband and me a couples massage. After the massages, the front desk tells me I was signed up for the 50-minute package and not the 80. Not only did they make me pay an extra $30 for myself, but for my husband as well. Extortion at its best. But I overlook it and still tipped the massage therapists because humans make mistakes.I am then told they can help me by updating my contract to the 80-minute massage. Ok, more money, but lets go for it.I call today to book a massage and they cant find my account at ALL. I give my phone number and my 15-year-old pops up. Buvana cant find my account so she proceeds to start a new profile and tells me my September credits havent hit because the contract doesnt start until tomorrow. Um, no maam my membership started in August. I should have September credits because they tried to make me use them for my 9/2 appointment when still I had August credits to use.Every time I call or show up there is some nonsense about my account. So Buvanas resolution was, I will cancel it and hangs the phone up in my face. No goodbye, no confirmation.Long story short, if you are looking to destress and relax, stay away from this place. They will provide the EXACT opposite.

Lori was so attentive, understood my needs, and I left feeling so relaxed.I loved the experience from beginning to end, the environment and energy of the space really did feel like the vacation I was so highly desiring but at 37 weeks pregnant, I of course, cant take.This experience was 1,000% worth it. Left highly considering a membership for after I give birth and already scheduled one last visit before going into labor.

I booked an appointment at this location by mistake and the woman on the phone was SO RUDE. She had no compassion whatsoever and they charged me $55 because I would end up being 15 minutes late trying to get across town. I would not recommend going here. Complete waste of money.

Unfortunately this is a never again for me. 50 min massage was 40 minutes. Massage was not thorough, pace was off and so just never got to upper body. Some uncleanliness one would not expect as massage institution.

The ambiance was perfect. There was ocean waves sound in the background and it was like you were getting a a massage on the beach. The tables are warm and it was very relaxing. I would go again.
