Pretty nice medium sized music venue. Beverages are super expensive but I suppose thats to be expected. A couple more snack options would be nice. Staff and sound was great. Thankful that they kept the bathrooms open after the show since I have a 2 hour ride home and didnt want to miss the end of the show.
Saw Taking Back Sunday here last night. Such a good show. Id never been to this venue before. I was skeptical about it, but it ended up being a great venue. The crowd had great energy. Sound and lightning are really good. No matter where you stand, youre not that far from the band. Getting in and out was easy. Staff were great. Like many places, drinks are pricey. But here theyre pricier than most venues Ive been to. Thats why I give it 4 stars. But if youre not buying drinks, that wouldnt matter. Note: they do have free water - big Gatorade cooler type things in the back - which is really nice. Overall a great place for a show!!
Love coming here for concerts, have seen multiple artists here and it feels much more intimate than being in a huge stadium. The bartenders are nice and mix good drinks, the lines move pretty quickly and shows always start on time. Good lighting and sound crew too. Overall a really fun experience that I drive from Fayetteville to visit.
Went and saw That Mexican OT. (He was great) but the venue is horrible. Paid extra for fast pass which was not fast. When ordering tickets it states we were to get in an hour early. The show was set to start at 7:30 they did not let us get in until 7:20. So a waste of money. There were underage people drinking. A group of girls all underage stood in the lane before entering the venue drinking security was aware as they had large “Xs” on their hand stating they were underage and did nothing. Same group of girls harassed and bombarded people during the show causing several arguments which made the concert unenjoyable. There was no organization and it was completely unprofessional and distasteful. I would recommend waiting to watch your performer elsewhere. Also we had general admission+ Jupiter lounge no one let us know where that was or where to go as it was disorganized so wasted the money on that as well. This venue should be ashamed of themselves letting people spend extra money on services they can’t even provide. If I could give the venue negative stars I would. Mexican OT was lit tho.
Great place for live music. Its a smaller venue with an intimate feel. It is standing room only on the floor. You should be able to see the stage no matter where you stand. The upper level has standing room as well and seats for an additional upgrade. The seats cannot be purchased online currently, only access to the upper lounge. You can purchase the seats once you get inside.
Lovely experience.Didn’t like the huge pillars scattered in the room. If you got stuck behind them they blocked the view pretty severely. Recommend showing up to your show a little earlier to avoid that.I appreciated that the stage was up higher for a venue with a level floor. Very spacious even with the pillars.
The venue itself is really nice. But ticketing is confusing and a little frustrating. I purchased mezzanine access thinking I would get a seat, but it turned out seats are $100 extra and must be purchased at the venue. You also cannot go to the mezzanine even if you prepurchased it without waiting in the very long, slow line. No free water either and no beverages allowed. It was a great show, but also two opening acts meant for a long night. I think I will stick with other eTix venues for a better smaller venue experience.
Went to a metal core show there last night. Good standing venue with enough of a slope to see the stage from the back. Good sound system. Standing in the merch line didnt impede the view either. Bar staff was awesome, security and ticketing staff were on top of things and moved people along quickly.Overall great venue and if Im in the area again or perhaps have a favorite coming through Ill be back.
Without going into too much details this review is for their security staff. I only got one name Seth but there were a couple of other guys who went way beyond their kindness. I ended up getting heat exhaustion from waiting outside in the heat to see Maren Morris last night . Long story short these guys were so kind and really extended themselves to help me. They turned a bad situation into a better one. From the bottom of my heart thank you!
Weve been a few times for a few different shows! Last weekend 10/28 we saw Lil darkie and it was absolutely mind blowing and amazing! The ritz is quick to get you in the door even if the line is down the lot 😁 they have rafters you can watch from or be apart of the experience and enjoy the hell outta yourself! Which I definitely recommend
Still a great local venue to see shows! My first show at The Ritz was Marilyn Manson with Clutch in 1995, fast forward 28 years later, when I just saw They Might Be Giants this week. Over all this time, it was still an excellent place to see a live music show! Acoustics and lights were great. Decor was great, the only difference that I saw was that the balcony area is now upgrade seating, but other than that, it was the same vibe all these years later! If you are going to see a big name show, allow extra time to navigate parking! Support live music and enjoy a Raleigh staple!
Just wanted to say that we’ve been to the Ritz multiple times and it’s always great. Most recently I came to a standing room only event and I’m on crutches from an ankle surgery. I planned on just standing on the crutches as long as I could but as I’m standing there someone from the venue offered to take me to ADA seating with my partner who is physically fine. They’re so nice at the gate and lines move quick with lots of bar staff. One of the best venues in Raleigh, apart from its strange location.
Best venue in the Raleigh area in my opinion. The sound is always on point and is the perfect size (not to big and not to small). I love the artists they attract as well! Keep it up!
This place is great. There is nowhere that isnt relatively close to the stage and we werent burning up in the crowd even at the front in the thickest crowd. They have seating but it costs extra and puts you on a balcony. There is also ada seating available for those who need it, so everyone can enjoy a show here. Parking costs extra, but mon thru wed there is free street parking nearby. The staff was friendly and very quick to handle disorderly conduct so others could enjoy the show. Awesome experience.
Went here on a Wednesday night for a concert. Is this a 5 star Venue. EASY.The parking lot is huge, tho a tad pricey, it convenient. The entrance was smooth as well.Going inside it has a nice classic small venue feel. Bars on both sides and vendors with merch on one end. There is VIP seating up top with good views. My favorite part, you could Be anywhere inside and have a good viewpoint of the stage.I liked this venue a lot, reminded me of 930 club DC.Go here!
Awesome place to see a concert. I caught Memphis May Fire and Dance Gavin Dance there. Not too horribly crowded decent sized venue and its manageable to get as close as youd like to the stage. There are balcony seats upstairs and downstairs is standing only to watch the show. The staff is friendly and polite and their drink prices arent bad. They make one hell of a Bahama mama. They have a few different bars to help keep the lines less long and the bathrooms were surprisingly clean. Parking is $14 which is kinda high considering youre parking in the venues parking lot but it wasnt far at all from the entrance to the venue. Security was good, they search bags and you must walk thru a detector. Once you enter the building and theyve scanned your ticket you cant go back out, no re-entry. A friend of mine that attended the concert with me lost his wallet during the show and looked everywhere in the floor for it. A staff member noticed and asked if they could help and took us to the lost and found where his wallet was waiting on him. The best part of the night was getting to meet Matty from Memphis May Fire and Andrew from Dance Gavin Dance, that just totally made my entire night. Ill definitely attend another concert at this venue.
I cannot say enough fabulous things about the ritz!!! The staff were absolutely charming, kind & amazing!!! One in our group is in a wheelchair and they went above and beyond to help us from the moment we got there until we left!!! Cliff, Rick, Tyler & supervisor 1210, you guys are absolutely pure gems!!! I could never imagined being treated so well!!! To you guys and all the staff at The Ritz, we appreciate yall for the best time!!
First, the doors were not open on time, we were already waiting in the line, getting drenched. You should put a tent over the metal detectors, as I had to put my phone in a plastic container filled with water because there was nothing covering it. Fast lane seems like a huge rip off because it sounds like youll get inside massively ahead of everyone its so much not a big deal. Inside is great as expected, nice venue. I will say I paid for seats and by the end of the night there were people up in the section I upgraded to that had not paid. Sorta disappointing and frustrating but overall the concert was a blast.
Terrific venue. Easy to find. Yes, there is paid parking ($15), but the attendants are friendly and car is safe. Courteous team. Spacious room. Great sound. Designated seating area for people with injuries to the left of the stage. VIP seating in the balcony. Multiple bar areas. Yes, drinks are expensive, but that’s to be expected in 2023+. Would definitely go back.
Last night, I went to a concert here and got sick over an hour before the show started. I left my spot to walk towards the exit and an employee noticed that I was ill and offered me a seat and brought me a cup of water. Within seconds of me sitting down, an EMT came to check on me and the employees were SO kind to me the entire time I was outside. They let me sit in a chair under a fan for 20 minutes with a friend (while refilling my water twice) before I went in and saw the show. This venue is intimate, has a fantastic ambiance, and the best staff ever! Cant wait to go to more shows here.
Loved the venue. They have a VIP that goes all along the top in the balcony. Looked like a good place to watch if you dont like crowds but we had a blast down on the floor
A PERFECT concert venue. I traveled from Indiana to go to a concert here, and I couldnt be happier with my experience! Ill definitely be looking for other shows to come back for!
Standing room only. I mean there is literally no place to sit down unless you pay ridiculous prices to sit upstairs. Also, they use those stupid beer cups that fill from the bottom. Sound is decent but louder than clearer.
Always a good time here for concerts. Bathrooms are clean & usually well stocked. It is standing room only unless you do upgrades for upstairs, so be prepared for that. Parking is close & decent but be prepared to spend $15-$20 on that. Sometimes you can park a little closer if you pay cash. Otherwise it is a cashless venue for the bar/merch. Bring your ID, even if you dont drink, bc they ID everyone.
The Ritz is nice. The way the tickets are sold makes you think you have a seat but you do not. You have to stand throughout the entire concert on the ground floor and in any order. Only way to get a seat is through VIP purchase. Also for the concert, they only had drinks, no food items.Otherwise nice, good location.
Nice typical venue that Im used to in Charlotte, North Carolina. The indoor temperature was actually very decent. The audio system was okay but not the greatest. They sold standing room only tickets but there was clearly balcony seating that we would have paid extra for if it were available.
Saw The BFMV Show Here May 21st And It Was Awesome. I Absolutely Loved The Show They Also Had Amazing People Making Drinks And At The Merch Booth. Even The Security Guards Outside Were Awesome And Making Sure People Were Safe When Leaving And That They Had A Good Time. Just A Great Experience Here Overall. Will Be Back To See Other Bands Here Cause It Was Awesome! 🤘🤘🤘
The sound at this venue is terrible. It’s to the point that I’ll only go if it’s an artist that I love, but I go begrudgingly. All the sounds are just muddled together and it usually sounds like a mess. It’s unfortunate because this is one of the only venues of this size near DT Raleigh and can therefore attract good small to mid-sized artists, but holy hell, they need to hire a team of audio engineers to improve the acoustics of this venue. This terrible venue really makes me look forward to Kane reality and AEG Presents getting the funding and building the new DT south concert hall (if it ever happens). Then, hopefully, I’ll never have to go the Ritz again!
Got the pleasure of seeing Movements and a few other bands here. It was an amazing time. All of the staff and other employees were really nice. Parking was easy and convenient. Would definitely go again
Overall this venue was nice but I tried to get a tap water from the bar (after my partner and I bought 3 drinks and tipped) and they refused. They tried to give me a $6 can of water. I’ve never been to a bar before that refused a cup of water and was pretty shocked. I honestly can’t believe that is legal especially with people drinking and driving home. There was also vomit all over one of the stalls I tried to go into in the bathroom.
The Ritz is always consistent. Never had a bad show. Just saw Trivium and Beartooth. This Venue is flawless over 14 years of attending shows. Does not disappoint. The staff is efficient courteous and responsive. For those who nit pick over petty small things. Where else can you see upcoming and bands that have performed in front of 80k ppl in an air conditioned, intimate and safe environment? Also huge shout out to Collin! You can tell he loves this place and takes pride in it.
Ive been to the Ritz several times for shows. I love that it is general admission and I can get near the stage as opposed to being across a stadium.I was a little surprised by the cost of parking. My brother met me there for the show, had I realized parking was $14per car, I would have met him somewhere and carpooled. I drove 3 hours to get to the event, another 20 or 30 minutes wouldnt have been that bad. This time was the Dead South.
Security does nothing to protect women or younger people at concerts. I was very obviously being targeted and was pretty vocal about it at the front of the stage. Two feet away from security. The man was grabbing me and touching me in private areas. He was elbowing me on purpose to the point that he left large bruises on my body. I was doing everything to get him off of me as he was pinning me against the stage and all the security did was tell me not to punch him and that it was a rock show. I tried fighting back but eventually just moved as he was hurting me for over 15 minutes. I go to shows often and I enjoy the violence but it is not the same when being targeted for being small and female. This culture should NOT be permitted EVER. I am disgusted and will not be going back to this venue.
Ive been here several times for concerts like Juicy J, Lil Uzi Vert, and most recently Da Baby. Its standing room only, which is ok because the place isnt huge to begin with. Even in the very back youre still pretty close to the stage and have a good view. There are plenty of bars so you dont have to wait very long to get a drink and an outside smoking area if you need it. It does tend to get kind of hot inside towards the end of the evening, which is expected. If youd like seats they have a VIP area upstairs you can pay extra to get into that come with seats and a table and an unobstructed view of the stage. Ive done that a few times as well but I like to be down in the crowd with everyone else, better concert experience to me. Ill continue to see shows here as long as its artists I like. 4 stars bc they shut the bars down once due to underage drinking and bc of how warm it gets inside and no re-entry allowed once you exit the building.
Comfortable experience. Climate control is decent for an indoor venue for a sold out concert. Concrete floors for the general admission standing room will fatigue the lower body and back.
This is the best venue I have ever been to. The kindest people who all want you to have a good time. The box office manager is the nicest woman I have ever met and I am so grateful for the ritz and their employees making this the best night ever
Used to be one of my favorite concert places but that has surely changed. The Jupiter lounge no longer includes seats and they want you to pay upwards to $100 on top of the additional costs to sit. This was very disheartening as a patron. Not only did we have to wait in a ridiculously long ID check line, we then had to wait in another long line to get to the lounge. At a certain point the purpose is defeated. As much as I love supporting smaller artist, it is no longer worth the money to go to a concert at the ritz in my opinion unless you can brave the standing room. While looking into what caused this venue to go from a gem to an overpriced moshpit, I found out live nation took over. This makes so much sense why they’ve become so insanely greedy. I will never be back!
Def do the upgraded preparking. We got the lounge upgrade. Was nice not being on floor in the crowd. They wanted an additional $50-100ea to be able to sit down upstairs which was advertised anywhere since we had never been to venue. Rip off. Drinks were expensive and light pours. Won’t go back.
Ive seen two shows here. Both were unforgettable thanks to this venue. Intimate, close-quarters accomodations - Standing room is where its at. Get there early so you can be on the barrier.
Absolutely love the vibe to the place! I got to see Eric nam yesterday and the security was nice and respectful and they handled a emergency medical situation very well!👏 ⚠️⚠️please remember to drink water when your in the venue also please if you are tall be aware of your surroundings and dont block any short people view it ruins their experience same thing with hats they block peoples view ⚠️⚠️
We drove almost 4 hours to take my son to his first concert here. He had a blast, and I was so happy that it was all ages, and all of the employees were so friendly to him. Everyone was very professional there were no fights no rude people there, and as a matter of fact everyone was really friendly. It made his first Concert Experience a really good one. During the main act we had to leave a little early because we did have the 4 hour drive back, and to our surprise the band that is his favorite (Avatar) which was the second band playing, was out by their tour bus signing autographs. So he got to meet two of the members of his favorite band. It was one of the best nights of his life he said! I highly recommend this place, and I wish there was a place like this in Roanoke. We have Phase 2 in Lynchburg, but honestly I like the Ritz better. We will be back!
After reading the reviews, I was a bit skeptical about the venue. However, the show I went to was great! I got fast lane tickets so the line was very short. The security was average, but the venue was clean. Of course, it is a standing room only so it was crowded. Overall, I had a great experience and I would totally go back!
My husband bought tickets online to this venue. I thought the tickets were a little pricey to be standing room only tickets. We had never been here before and weren’t sure what to expect. The venue is set off by itself and you kind of have to park in one of their lots which is $14 - $15 …. But I really didn’t feel like we had any other choice. Getting in through the line was efficient and they did have you walk through a metal detector so you had a bit less f feeling of safety/. Once inside you had to scramble for your spot. There was a balcony that had chairs but we had never read anywhere how we could get one of those tickets . It was miserable to have to stand that long. I was several feet from the front with tall people in front of me, rude people that pushed through to stand in front of me and SO MANY people talking during the show. Plus the singers mic needed turned up because it sounded muffled and quiet. I would not return because that was too long to stand for
One of my favorite venues. Easy access to bathrooms, a few bars to choose from so easy to get a beverage or snack. Great views of the stage everywhere in the venue as well!
I debated giving four stars but honestly for what this place is, they are great at it. The Ritz is a big rectangular space with a flat floor where you can go see bands. I’m 5’11” and struggled to see the stage at a sold out event but security was efficient getting us in. The acoustics were great for a flat floor box. And I’ve never had an easier time getting a drink at a sold out show. The Ritz knows how to run an event. I just wish there were some elevation away from the stage, or that I were taller, or owned cowboy boots with 3 inch heels…
These ticket master owned venues are such garbage. Going through metal detectors like you’re boarding a plane. It’s so ridiculous. The parking situation is a joke. 14 bucks to park! Gimme a break. Anything to squeeze a buck from the working man. Get bent. It’s gonna have to be one hell of a show for me to return.
Awesome little place that offers incredible sound system dance floor & best of all the VIP level for an extra fee gets you appetizers, separate no wait bar or at your seat drink service, great views of the stage & entire lower level. Would be 5 stars for an outside patio that was more comfortable & allowed you to hear the music you paid to hear whilegetting some air &/or a smoke.
This venue get some good artists to come, but I disagree with other reviewers that you can see from anywhere in the venue. In fact, its very difficult to see from the bottom floor at all. The top floor is even difficult around the beams. Ive been here twice now and havent been able to find anywhere to see much of anything.
Horrible audio quality. Every instrument was muddied and indistinguishable. Bass boost overpowered every other sound even the vocals.Whoever is working the audio here doesnt understand music, or just doesnt care. Everything was distorted. Music sounds better on phone speaker for crying out loud. Waste of money.
Always really fun going here. the building tends to run hot so heads up. the staff are very helpful and the security made sure we were taken care off
March 21, 2024I really enjoyed the Ritz! Love the little souvenir shakers you get from your beverage, and loved the bottomless popcorn.Really enjoyed seeing OWL City in concert as well!
Venue was nice. Vip area looked cool as well. Bought a parking pass and that was super easy to figure out so fan of that.Shout out to the staff btw. My wife passed out and someone on the staff got to us quickly. They helped her outside and we were able to enjoy the show after she got some air and water. Really appreciate them for that.
To make parking in the back of the venue go more smoothly, they could definitely hire an additional lot attendant. If you are attending a sold out show, arrive 2 hours early (Im not kidding). Be prepared to stand outside in line. Have your ID ready for wristband (for alcohol consumption)there are multiple bars inside the venue. liquid death was actually pretty reasonably priced ($5 instead of $7 at other venues). Im sure this will be subject to change.there are no floor seats- its standing room, for the exception of the balcony (VIP seating). it gets crowded in here, and hot.sound quality is okay- its not impressive, but its not terrible.IMO, it was a very average venue.
Great venue to see a show. If you can afford the upgrades, get them. There is not really a bad spot in the house, but the mezzanine offers seats, a private bar, and great views!
Among the numerous other issues(parking, sound, pricing) with this venue, the final straw is that the fountain soda is priced at $8. I don’t even drink soda, but it’s sickening that they rob fans like this.
Great venue! Not too big, not too small. Nice smoking area outside. Ample parking.
Went to city mourge today and there was over 30 people kicked out of the venue for masks. Instead of just taking the masks they kicked everyone out and even choked out females. Very bad venue. Go to the filmore or underground in charlotte instead this place sucks.
First time, for Manchester Orchestra. Lunar Vacation was like a throwback to Rilo Kiley and other Lilith Fair music of my youth. The venue is sweet. Easy parking, the security and staff were great. The music was far too loud for the vacuum of a couple thousand people. It was more like they set the system for the Panthers stadium and then moved it inside. But I cant say enough good things about the Ritz and Im already looking at more tickets.By the way, its only a few minutes from several homegrown breweries and some amazing restaurants. So I highly recommend you make a half a day out of any trip that youre going to the Ritz. Enjoy everything thats in you and its location has to offer.
Im making this review after seeing half a dozen shows at The Ritz, so my opinion is cumulative of those visits. The Ritz is a good venue, first and foremost, and I have returned and will return to see additional shows. Its the primary venue for most of the medium-sized hard rock and heavy metal acts when they visit NC.Sound: Depending on which show you see, the sound varies greatly. Ive always tried to get a spot beside or above the sound booth so I can hear what the mix is SUPPOSED to sound like, but Ive been to three concerts where the mix was very poor. Ive seen one show (ABR/FFAK) in which I thought the mix was exceptional; but for the most part, its good.Staff: The staff are always cordial and they do what they can to right any wrongs that LiveNation may be guilty of (charging $60 for VIP that doesnt include a seat). The staff does get overwhelmed at shows that are sold out, and thats most likely due to turnover or lack of experience.Prices: Ticket prices are absolutely fair and they are usually cheaper than most venues of comparable size. Beverage prices are also at market value, which is good for consistency across different venues. VIP is where my low rating comes in...The Ritz has increased the cost of their VIP (upper level seating) over the past four years by $85 per person (from $40 per person in 2019 to $125 per person on 02/16/2023). Now, there were two different prices for the VIP seating; but the second level stools were still $100 per person. The VIP seating has improved as far as comfort is concerned, but its not worth that exorbitant of a price. Not to mention, they used to sell out the VIP seating; but on the 16th we counted only 10 people who had paid for it. The staff also leaves the seats unattended for the last 30 minutes of the show, so people who are standing on the second level file into those seats without the charge. The wait staff also only checks on you once or twice per concert in those seats, so the attentiveness is some of the worst Ive seen (like I mentioned before, it could be from lack of experience or turnover). Taking all that into consideration, the VIP seating and upstairs cost is not worth the price and for most people, its better to just enjoy the concert from the floor.Overall, The Ritz is a good but not great venue. The Underground/ The Fillmore in Charlotte and The Orange Peel in Asheville are all better venues with a better fan experience.
First time I have seen a concert here and will be going back. A great facility for live entertainment.
Great wide open venue All spots show a pretty good view of the stage. Bartenders were sweet
Predatory towing from the completely empty Costco parking lot, insane ticket fees, overpriced drinks. I dont think Id go back even for one of the acts on my concert bucket list. Avoid patronizing this business and giving Live Nation a single one of your hard earned dollars.
Very nice place to see a concert! Plus a good drink menu. Crowd was outstanding!
Acoustics in this place is terrible, everything is massively overpriced, “premium” seating has tons of building pillars obstructing views and security team are extremely rude. Never go here!
Great Raleigh venue. location, good practices for covid, spacious venue, well set up bar areas with cool loft. Acoustics are TERRIBLE unfortunately and they have a hard time balancing the sound inside or Id have given 5 stars. Facility really needs to add better sound dampening and/or tapestries for sound absorption.
The venue isn’t as bad as some people are saying it is, I’ve been the this venue a few times to see Zomboy, adventure club and so many more. The staff has always been great the security is perfect I enjoy the added protection. The sound is good the lights are perfect. I think it all depends on who you are seeing and who’s running the lights. The drinks are a little pricey but that with any place you go. Parking isn’t that expensive I think I may have paid $5 to park up close.
Its definitely a lot better than it used to be! I havent been here in yrs!! I Love the new look!
Smooth parking, easy entry, great drinks, not a bad spot in the house.
Convenient, venue for close and personal converts. Standing room only for the most part, buy the cheapest tickets and get there early for your spot (45 minutes). Parking is expensive at $14 per car as are drinks with no wait time at the bar. Pregame, DD/park elsewhere and walk or Uber, and enjoy affordable concerts. Saw Judah and the Lion.
Awesome venue and especially seeing Keanu Reeves and Dogstar!!!!
Fantastic Venue for a pit experience. Big enough to get the energy up, small enough to feel close to the stage
Pretty standard live music venue. Used to be great but now the whole experience now feels like being nickel-and-dimed. Parking is like $14. Ticketmaster or Live Nation adds on a random $9. Fast Lane entry is $30. Seating is considered VIP and runs about $99. So... My experience lately has been parking a mile away in a sketchy area and then staring at the back of some dudes head after paying $35 for a $20 ticket.
Any venue that doesnt allow sealed water or a water bottle to be brought in is a venue I will not revisit. In addition they did not provide any bottled water to the people in front. This is exactly why the show had to be stopped and a girl rushed to medical. Hope she is alright.
It’s just not a great place to see music. But that’s not shocking, almost every venue in Raleigh is pretty awful.
Really cool concert venue. Just big enough to have a large enough crowd to make the show fun, but just small enough to make the show feel personal. They have a ton of fans inside that they turned on which cooled it down quickly. The bathrooms were super clean and updated recently. Overall I was really impressed.
A great place to catch a concert.... caters to all types of concertgoers with both general admission pit access or premium balcony seating for those who dont need to get caught up in the mosh pit. Staff is friendly and helpful. The Stella Lounge is a nice touch for those who pay extra for the premium seating options. Acoustics are solid. The only significant negative I can come up with are the three large posts tha cross the center of the building which can cause sightline issues. Ill be back for future shows
I havent been out to see a live show in a WHILE, and in over a decade living in this area Id never been to the Ritz. Im really glad I finally got there.I found the amount of security a bit intimidating, but it could have been appropriate for this show... I did, ultimately, have a great time, and if I find the right show Ill definitely be back again
I mean, its just simply the best. The staff is always awesome, especially Anna! And Im there a lot. Tell me a better venue. Whats that? You cant? Im not surprised.
Venue was awesome, seated area was $100-$150 after you got through the door, bathroom was decently clean for a concert of that size. My only large complaint was traffic coming and going, long lines to a dirt lot diagonal across the road the wasnt managed very well, so make sure to get there kinda early.
This is a great venue for a large crowd that still feels intimate. Some bands you hear down at red hat downtown sound completely different here. Its always a good time. Safe. Super expensive drinks. Every time I come here I have at least one super positive chat with someone between bands. Definitely a fun time.Beware the massive column in the middle of the floor.Update from YEARS later: still amazing, still intimate, still column.
Raleighs best venue for music. Besides the parking, which is only paid parking. However it does get watched by the security there. Lines are usually pretty quick and prompt. The bars are very well placed. Typical music venue pricing which is high but like I said typical for the venue types. The stage is great. I have been here for a variety of shows and always have a. Great view. The balcony area seems cool, I have never been up there though. Like to hug the barricade all the time. Will always return here when my favorite bands show up.
Great venue! Long line before doors opened was swiftly and efficiently handled. Quick entry even with 2x bag search. Clean facilities, great service, amazing atmosphere!!Highly recommend for any private party or live music.
Phenomenal experience and service dog etiquette. We called ahead to ask about accessibility and they were kind and helpful. The bartenders even offered my service dog water! We truly had a better time and were able to experience the concert like everyone else thanks to their accessibility and help.
The venue is phenomenal. Plenty of refreshment areas and a large area for viewing the performers. There isnt a bad view in the building. The staff was extremely nice and professional when we had an issue. We will be looking for upcoming shows to visit again soon. Highly recommend!
Went to see a show here recently, posted start time was doors at 6 and music at 8. The venue silently changed the start time to 7 two days before the show with zero communication about it whatsoever, so I missed the first act which was the reason I came. Miserable experience and completely unprofessional handling of the situation.
Great venue for private events! Went to event for 250 with bar, food, and a band. Everything was really top notch.
Quality venue for a concert. Drinks and restrooms were easily located, and abundant. Had a great time!
One of the best venues in the Raleigh area! It’s general admission standing room downstairs or VIP seating upstairs, and all feels cozy and close to the stage. Bathrooms are pretty nice and parking is convenient. Security is seamless. This is the kind of place you hope to see an artist before they become massive stars and switch to arena tours.
Excellent music venue. So many good shows come through.
Okay honestly this was one of the best medium-sized concert venues Ive been to!!! free water coolers spread around, an outdoor patio area that is well seated and somehow doesnt REEEK of cigarettes, and sincerely friendly and considerate staff!!!! really crazy stuff! I sincerely enjoyed my time at this venue and would definitely come back.
We were in attendance for Trap Karaoke and it was an amazing experience. The line moved super fast! Our only request is that they provide some quick bites to eat. Especially when serving alcohol. And I must mention the drinks are on the sweeter side for the cost.
First time visiting.Went for the Disney DJ event -Be our guest. It was so fun! I wish I had worn a costume. Venue was spacious. They did charge for parking ($14) Definitely would come again.
Its all standing for the concert, which gets tiring, but ITS WORTH IT. I came here to see benson boone perform and LOVED IT.
Nice concert venue for smaller acts, good space for the crowd. Drinks are pricey but also double the size so it balances out. Parking options are confusing, they seem to charge $14 for their lot even though the area is pretty empty…signage seems to suggest parking at any of the nearby businesses puts you at risk of being towed though.
Great place for a concert! We loved seeing Elle King.
Staff were on top of it. Parking is pricey so youll either need to get there early to park on the street, or bite the bullet and pay. They have a smoking area and cool upstairs, but you wont be able to exit and re-enter, so keep that in mind. I would definitely come back for another show.
Absolutely loved this venue. Saw Lil darkie for my third time here and had an absolute blast! Lost my keys but the bouncers were so sweet and helped me find them! Cant thank them enough for that 🖤
Great little venue great place, third party tickets where the issue.
It was our first time there last week. The acoustics were great ( protect your ears with earplugs!) We decided to get there early and park on surrounding side street (short walk to venue.) I gave 3 stars because it was way too packed for my liking. Security thought it would be a great idea as we were leaving shortly after the show ended to close a set of bathrooms. After a long show and money spent on drinks, that was a terrible idea. The remaining bathrooms had longer lines and ran out of soap.
My husband and I loved this venue. Im giving it four stars though bc the drink prices are ridiculously high. If my husband and I both had three beers each, it was going to be $100. Anyway, one thing we do wish we had done was pay for the balcony seats. A much better view and seats!
Never been. Sat up top and enjoyed Sierra Ferrel very much so.
Nice looking venue, but they are very dishonest about their VIP section. The venue has a balcony section with a (very nice) lounge, and seating. I paid $50 per person to be up here because Im getting older and would love a seat. But, they dont tell you that the seat is $65 per person extra until you get here.
The men i trust concert was mid just bc of this venue. I went knowing this place is small but expected at least a decent venue and proportionately size crowd. NOPE. Show was oversold. Dont waste your money coming here for a show. This is not men i trust hate, strictly livenation and ticketmaster hate.
It’s a cool venue! I saw a DJ set here. I didn’t see many comments explaining how it worked, so here:For my show, there was a general admission line and an expedited entry line. They pre-checked the expedited entry line for tickets and bags, and I saw a girl with a small purse-sized backpack get turned away (no backpacks allowed.) coat check was not available that night. There is plenty of space for your ride to drop you off, and it looked like there was parking. The show time was incorrectly listed, so there were a lot of people waiting a while outside (no heaters.)Once you get inside, if you purchased (already expensive) lounge access, be advised that you have to pay on top of that to get a seat overlooking the show, but i don’t think it’s needed as there is standing room with a rail to put your drinks down. There’s a (very good) bar in the lounge that does have open seating, but you would need to watch the show on the screens they have in there. There is no private bathroom in the lounge, but it’s really easy to get up and down to the floor. The staff was great and we’ll be back!
If you go here, understand that they have a zero tolerance policy towards alcohol according to the state of North Carolina. But of course, that is not posted anywhere. That being said if you have kid who bumps into your drink they will lie and say your kid took a sip and throw you out. Yet, they dont have any place to set down your drink in case you need to adjustor even use the restroom. Rude as hell and absolute jerks. Will never do anything at their venue again.
Went to a show here, and I arrived early to get a good spot up front. Everyone who got there early was cheated by them opening a door in the back. $8 for a coke??? Hoping to never see another show here.
When we got tickets to see Jo Dee Messina I had no idea about the venue and that I would be standing up. I can’t say enough good things about the staff of the Ritz and how courteous they were in assisting us when I explained to them my medical situation and how I can’t stand for long periods of time. They quickly assisted me in my situation and made the whole night very pleasant. I was truly impressed watching how they handled all types of situations. Plus it was a great concert!!
Not everyone can stand 4 hours for a show without serious discomfort or afford to pay exhorbitant prices for VIP seats. I dont qualify for ADA but Im not 21 anymore either! Ive crossed the Filmore and the Ritz off my list for that very reason. You should have tickets for seated areas available for purchase before the show so people know exactly what they will have to pay to sit down.
Wow. I never knew they had concerts here! And u thought I had been to every venue in the triangle. BUT THIS PLACE! WAY BIGGER THAN I IMAGINED. awesome venue for a show. Intimate. Wow.
The place is huge. They charge for parking now which didnt exist before the pandemic (which is very understandable but $14???). We were told that the doors would open five minutes late. Five minutes turned into twenty. I dont know whats going on with the management team but they couldve done better organizing that and Im placing more responsibility on the management level than the ground workers who are doing their best. The employees are very nice. Once we were able to go in it was easy. I do recommend going early. This venue is nice though, however if you cannot stand for hours at a time without enduring any physical pain, PLEASE put the extra money forward and get the VIP seats. I learned my lesson and my back paid for it. The performing artist was about two hours late (nothing to do with the venue btw) and those of us who had general admission had to call some assistance for help because a lady was getting tired and overexhausted from standing.Overall, I still enjoyed the concert. The sound was good and theres a lot of space to stand. I would still go again, but Im paying for VIP next time around. Its so worth it.
The venue is very spacious and the line to get in moved very fast. Security was very nice and accommodating and the prices werent terrible for venue prices and parking was very easy. Would definitely come to a show here again.
