The Body Spa & Cryotherapy

After riding over 2,300 miles on my motorcycle I needed a massage. Kristy T was my therapist and she was amazing. I went in feeling battered and broken and left feeling 100% better. Her technique is amazing and she is probably one of the best therapist I have ever had the pleasure of meeting! If you need help the Body Shop in Rapid City is the place .

I have been here before and had a great experience. However this last visit for a massage was a disappointment. I told the therapist about my torn rotator cuff, poor ankle and hip; when the massage was done I was in more pain than when I came in and have continued to be in pain since. In all honesty I should of stopped the therapist about 20 min into the session. It was a big disappointment for me; fortunately I am seeing a physical therapist for those issues who has been able to ease the pain from the massage.Needless to say I wont be using this massage therapist again.Edit: After my review was posted the owner reached out to me right away. Even though it was after 8pm, she still tried to call me and left a message.We were able to connect today and had a good conversion about what happened during my massage and then told me in detail what the next steps would be with the therapist.I am very pleased with her plan of action and the corrections that she has in mind to help this therapist improve her style to fit more patients.Talking with her and speaking up for myself in a difficult situation really made me feel better and honestly more likely to use their services again.

What is there not to say about this place? I’ve had around 7 massages in my life and this one leaves the others a shame. Ally was my massage therapist and I can’t say enough about her. I’ve lived with chronic pain for over 10 years and I’ve never felt relief like I did after my massage. She was so polite and respectful. The communication made me feel so seen and safe. I will absolutely be coming back to see her and can’t wait to try out other services. 1000/10 recommend!

I love the Body Spa! Kelli at the front desk is so friendly and accommodating! Ive seen Jesi for facials, Amanda and Kristi for massages and Im telling you, I am so beyond satisfied with the professionalism, knowledge, and overall comfort that all of these ladiesgive! The staff here is so knowledgeable and courteous. Walked me right through my very first cryotherapy appointment. Then I had a terrific massage and ended my day with an eyebrow waxing.I thoroughly enjoyed my massage, so much that I went home and took a nap. lol

Best spa in town. Lots of options for many different services. Cryo therapy, Red light therapy, saunas and of course massage by skilled therapist. If you have pain you need to come try the cryotherapy. Im going on 2 weeks without pain meds. Doing full body and target cryo. Love itMichelle from Rapid City

I went in for the cryo facial yesterday, feeling skeptical on if this was legit or not. I woke up this morning pleasantly surprised at my face looking smooth and dewy! Even my hair looks shinier! It really did something! That’s so cool, and it wasn’t as scary as I thought!

Taryn did an absolutely AMAZING job! She took the time to listen and understand what I told her about the issues with my neck. She actually worked the muscle attachment points along with the neck and shoulder muscles. She is a true PROFESSIONAL that cares about her clients. I highly recommend her!!!

I had purchase 1 month unlimited cryotherapy with 4 pain management sessions. I even bought a couple of massage sessions. I had a lot of shoulder and back pain going on. The pain management sessions with Jess was like magic, it seemed to work instantly. I also believe along with the massage sessions that I had with Tara worked wonders. As soon as you walk into the door you’re greeted by Kelly and the girls there are so kind and compassionate. I would highly recommend this place. The best that I’ve been to in rapid city. I had terrible pain in my joints from a flare up of psoriatic arthritis a few weeks ago. I could barely walk. I have had cryotherapy in the past with relief so I signed up for a month of unlimited Cryo and red light therapy. My pain level was at an 8 on a scale of 1-10. I went at least 4 times a week and had some relief immediately and after three weeks I am pain free and taking daily walks again. The staff is always friendly and genuinely concerned. If you are in pain and haven’t tried it, I would highly recommend cryotherapy. Thank you Body Spa and Cryo for giving me my life back in record time!!

I hate to leave a review before receiving services, but I’ve been really disappointed with the scheduling and availability. I purchased a gift card for my husband for a massage for Valentine’s Day. By time we scheduled his visit, the earliest availability was mid-April. On March 17, we were notified that the original appointment would need to be rescheduled due to the office being closed. We then called to reschedule and they told us 90-min massages were not available despite that being purchased with the gift card and it being available on the website. We then went online to book the next appointment that worked for us, and now it’s scheduled for the end of June! Had I known it was going to be this difficult, I would have never purchased this as a gift. I’m really hoping the services are worth the 4+ month wait.

Ive only been there the one time thus far and Jessica made things so easy and welcoming. She took me on a tour of what the place all offered, she kept checking in on me while getting a massage to make sure the pressures werent to much and one of the best perks i found is that they included the cupping ((maybe next time ill try the bamboo)) in my massage. Jessica is AMAZING! I cant wait til my next massage.

I absolutely LOVE coming here for their many treatments! I recently tried one I had never done before that a friend suggested I do, as they are impressed with what it has done for their skin. They suggested I try the Frotox treatment. It was quite different, but very refreshing. I was taken aback at how refreshed, smooth, & dewy my skin looked & felt. My friend was not exaggerating when saying it is a treatment worth getting. As with other treatments Ive done here, the technicians devote as much time and care into the Frotox treatment as any other they do. Thank you so much for the new experience, and keep up the great work. Im so glad to have found such a professional and affordable place as this to help me with issues affecting my body, and need for pain management, it truly is a blessing. Sincerely...

I have been taking my 11 year old Labrador Retriever to The Body Spa for Pet Cryo for the last 2 months.She struggles with osteoarthritis and has had a harder time getting around. After just a couple of sessions she improved tremendously! If you have a pet with mobility issues, give them a call!

I cannot say enough good things about the body spa and the people there. I felt so comfortable the entire time and they were so kind and informative! I LOVE the body spa! I had my first experience getting a massage here and I couldn’t believe how relaxing and amazing I felt afterwards. The environment it’s self is just very relaxing and calming. The appointment processes is so smooth and effortless. Tara and her team are all amazing at what they do and I won’t go anywhere else!

I have struggled with rheumatoid arthritis for the past three years now. I made diet changes and lifestyle changes to help decrease my symptoms but still never felt 100%. I heard about cryotherapy and thought I might as well give it a try. It was 1000% worth it. I use the whole body cryotherapy , the Kaasen, and the red light therapy at the Body Spa. I can tell you with all the confidence each one of these is a benefit to your health and well being. The whole body cryotherapy and the red light therapy helped me with my mood and my energy. After three years of feeling constant fatigue, It felt amazing to have my energy back when I used these consistently. The Kaasen helped me target some of my body areas that seemed to have stubborn fat. I eat a healthy diet and exercise regularly but due to my autoimmune disease I feel like I struggle with weight loss. Kaasen helped me target those trouble areas and allowed me to feel more comfortable in my own skin. If you are nervous or uneasy about trying something new I hope reading this you feel encouraged to just go for it. You wont regret the benefits you feel.

Super knowledgeable and kind staff who all do great work. Cryotherapy is the real deal, and makes a significant difference in recovery and healing. I personally love the compression therapy. Feels amazing after a heavy leg workout! I refer people from Nutrishop over to The Body Spa all the time, and I always know they will be treated amazingly well.

This little POWERHOUSE beside me is a new team member at The Body Spa. Julia has been my pain reliever for two years. She knows how to relax the body and how to do deep tissue massage to relieve the soar muscles. Cant wait till she is VA Approved but until then I will gladly pay for back pain relief.

Taras skills at massage therapy are truly exceptional. She is attuned to your physical and spiritual well being during every session, which allows her to address healing you may not even know you need! She is a wonderful person with an incredible gift/talent at massage therapy. It is no surprise she books out 6-8 weeks in advance...but she is worth the wait!

Tara and her team are absolutely wonderful! My back has always been problematic and after a massage session it was like having a whole new back! Place was clean and relaxing! I did cryotherapy (albeit a bit wary at first as I am super afraid of being cold) and after two sessions, I was hooked. Unfortunately I am now stuck in Hong Kong but once travelling is safe again, I am definitely flying back to visit Tara and her team at the Body Spa to get my cryotherapy fix!!! I can’t recommend the Body Spa enough! Tara is passionate about her trade and really knows her stuff!

The former motel exterior seems a little strange at first, but it makes a perfect interior. Theres a cozy waiting room with coffee and tea, and a bathroom with a shower that you can use after your massage. I love not having to go straight home afterwards to wash up. Tara is always willing to customize a massage to my exact needs, and can get rid of pain I didnt know I had. When I come out of a massage, I feel like a different (much happier, more relaxed) person.Cryotherapy was a new experience for me, but the staff made sure I felt confident and took great care of me. Its not as strange as it seems, and can treat a variety of conditions. Or just give you the boost of energy you need to have a great weekend.

Normally I love the treatments I get here. But today I got a frotox treatment, and on the website it says you get a cryofacial at the beginning it literally was just spraying my face with cold air for like 20 seconds and then a cold wand on my face for 15 minutes. To me this was absolutely NOT worth 120, well 135 including my tip (because I would just feel like a mean person if I didnt tip) I honestly should have said something from the get go, but I didnt feel comfortable doing so. I honestly wouldve just been better off saving $135 by dipping my face in cold water and then putting a nice hydrating cream on my face then using my cryo sticks I have at home that I got from Amazon for 15 bucks. This honestly was just a huge waste of money.

I have been suffering with limited mobility and intermittent pain in my left shoulder for several months. Recently Tara suggested I add a Kaasen pain management treatment before my monthly massage. The cryo tech Ryan is very conscientious and respectful, careful to request permission before he touched me or adjusted my garments and frequently asked me how I was doing throughout the process. Ryan attended specialized training and exudes excitement when he describes the many benefits of the Kaasen and cryotherapy. Whether youre considering massage and/or cryo for pain management, aesthetics/slimming or overall health, I highly recommend Tara and her outstanding team at The Body Spa & Cryotherapy!

I love cryotherapy! I never heard about it before. A coworker from hospice loves cryotherapy! She filled me in, shes an LPN. I was like well I cant find a good chiropractor. Ill try it out. Im not fan of being cold. But this nice gentleman help me talk through short cold period. Bless him because that helps me to continue through the short process. My inflammation went away, my exhaustion and fatigue reduced significantly. I had lots of energy! I had an open mind set not looking for a miracle cure, but just something to hopefully help reduce my exhaustion. I was not disappointed! If you work and have lots of stress. This is good place to relax. The staff are super helpful and very friendly! I would highly recommend as I do at work! Thank you!

If you’re looking for a ‘cookie cutter’ massage… The Body Spa is NOT for you. Instead, they are fantastic at customizing your massage that best fits your current need (injury recovery, relaxation, deep tissue etc). I highly recommend The Body Spa!!!

Cryotherapy facial was nice, brow wax was great, massage was fair...but the girl was a new massage therapist, gave me a discounted rate !

Wow…I mean WOW!I never knew how cold therapy could be a GREAT thing for your body. From the Cryo booth for full body healing, the Kaasen to target pain or fat busting to FroTox for the face. The FroTox felt wonderful as they held the wand and swiped up the COLD air on my face in a way to target the muscles to tighten up giving me a more youthful look over a few sessions!If your in pain, feeling sluggish, needing a detox, or want to target some areas that need some special attention….THIS is the place to go. I can’t wait to try the trio of massage, Cryo and red light therapy!!

I am a disabled veteran and have been diagnosed with many issues. Cyrotherapy has been the best thing for me since I got hurt almost 8 years ago. I still have pain but it is to the point of being manageable and I can finally move around again. The staff here is great, very friendly and willing to help you. They always great you with a smile! I would recommend cyrotherapy to anyone, dont be afraid of getting cold because its not like being outside and being cold! The 3 mins go by quick too.

There was road maintenance happening right outside the building when we went and the building itself isnt very pretty. But once youre inside everything is clean and nice. People were very professional and the massage I got was terrific. I would come again if I lived in the area.
