The massage was great but they charge to sit by the pool and a 20% gratuity on top of anything you do or buy there. They also over charged my daughter by $60 and shes fighting that with her bank to get the money back. Good experience just read the fine print or you will be over charged
I would go back to this spa again and again. The services are amazing and the amenities were wonderful. The aromatherapy massage I received was one of the best. I loved that valet parking was validated and that we had pool and steam room access all day. The drinks and chocolates also made our day even more sweet. The staff members at the spa were very kind and they were so accommodating during my visit. It truly made my experience even better! ❤️
Rated one of the top 10 spas in California and I can see why!I chose Kellys signature youth spa package. I had a soothing grape seed bubble bath and then went into a Swedish deep tissue massage. My therapist Sydney was awesome! She really worked on my shoulders. Not only was she strong but she has a great spirit. I connected with her immediately and instead of falling asleep I was screaming with laughter! It was one of the best experiences Ive ever had while getting a massage!I ended with a Chardonnay scrub and a foot massage. I felt so refreshed when I was done. Of course I didnt want to leave and went back to the eucalyptus steam room for another 15 minutes! The customer service was so good I bought face cleanser and I never even had a facial!I would compare this spa to the Sonoma Mission Inn! Top of the line service, products and environment!
Update: I would like to update this review. I reached out to the spa direct Summer and she was more than happy to rectify the experience from 12/30. She did admit that the spa is undergoing some changes, but she wanted to make sure I had a chance to enjoy the experience that I was originally booked for. Summer reached out to me in a timely manner and made sure that everything was coordinated flawlessly. Thank you Summer for your attentiveness to this matter and showing appreciation to your long time customers. My service today was excellent and just what I expect from Kellys Spa.I have been visiting the spa since 2021 and I have never had any complaints until now. This spa has obviously been experiencing some difficulties over the past several months with the booking system, front desk staff, and overall customer service. When booking the front desk phone rings and rings. It takes multiple calling attempts before anyone answers. On the day of my service I sat in the lounge for an hour waiting before I was told that they couldnt even locate me in their system. Shocking! No problem charging my credit card though. The inadequacies of your front desk staff need to be rectified immediately. The manager offered me a subpar apology without any attempt to rectify the situation in an acceptable manner other than offering me a broken up service experience or a discount off a future service. While I understand businesses experience issues from time to time, what makes the difference is how you treat your loyal customers. Also, your staff failed to inform that your hotel is super busy with limited access in December. I shouldve been instructed on how to access parking as to not to incur additional parking fees! When I tried to call to ask before paying to park, you guessed it, no one answered the phone! What a joke and not at all the level of service I expect from a luxury hotel and spa.
I loved it here... I spent the day with my girlfriends by the pool lounging. I got the aromatherapy massage. You must be here before you appointment time. If you get her at 12:05 takes you 15 mins from valet to sign in change that takes up you appt time your massage .. So get here early. The Las campana restaurant is lovely. They let you order your sushi and bring it outdoors. The chicken mole is delicious.IG: cristallbonilla
Wow! What a fabulous technician I had !It was my privilege, of experiencing her work and it was Amazing! If you get an opportunity to visit the “Kelly’s Spa” located in the Historic Mission Inn, in Downtown Riverside CA, do yourself the favor of getting a 50 minute healing massage. Every patron is treated with respect and dignity no matter what walk of life they come from. I arrived within 10 minutes of my scheduled appointment, (which I don’t recommend, be at least 25 minutes before) and was immediately taken by a hostess to the Ladies common room where I was given a locker that contained a luscious white terry bath robe and slippers, then I was shown through the entire room where I was able to disrobe in preparation for my massage. From there I was directed to the Spa Lounge, and offered a variety of beverages. I chose the mimosa😁, but asked to have after the massage as it would have cut into my 50 minute massage. My Massage Therapist came to retrieve me and introduced herself. After walking a few steps to the low lighted room, she gave clear instructions to disrobe and place myself on the table, face down and cover my exposed backside. A few mins in she asked about what area I was most concerned with and directed her to the middle of my back where she immediately began to work on the tension between my shoulder blades. She softly asked about the pressure she was using several times to ensure I was comfortable.I highly recommend that everyone experience this massage at least once or twice in a lifetime. It’s a bit on the pricey side but for the experience it is well worth it. An hour later I was sipping my mimosa and enjoying the platter of fresh fruit, and a delicious truffle. After finishing my beverage I took a 15 minute Sauna where I found sliced cucumbers with ice drenched wash cloths, just outside the Sauna room. From there I retreated to the relaxing lounge where I enjoyed the quiet dimly lit room, where another fruit platter and cucumber ice water was located. The attention I received was wonderful by all the staff from the hostesses to the cashier After relaxing for about 45 minutes, I was able to enjoy the heated spa and sparkling swimming pool. So my 50 minute massage lasted about 3 hours in total…!
Earlier this month my family and I planned to have a spa day for my birthday and it went great we all had a good time, but there were some things that brought down the rating overall. We got massages which were wonderful, we also all got pedicures which were done by the same person, Jennifer. although she was nice she did a HORRIBLE job on all of our toes. i got a regular french tip pedicure which cost 100+ a 50 tip btw and my toes are already chipped after a week! not only that but my french tip was so sloppy. all of her work was. my mom left with blue TOES not blue nails smh. if you plan to go the service is great! but be weary of getting a pedicure, not worth the price. the food did not match the price either. they could do better.
I was very disappointed and probably won’t be back. While the two spa attendants were lovely, as always, so sweet and helpful, the younger girls at the front desk were somewhat snippy. It started with being unable to get the normal drinks we get when we arrive being said that the kitchen was backed up. It’s 9 in the morning and the hotel is quiet, how can you not bring a juice????Next the steam room not only had mold on the ground, it smelled moldy and stunk also. Not like the normal eucalyptus it does. I love that part and couldn’t even use it. The front desk didn’t seem to be too concerned about it.The massage was fine - and the girl was friendly. But the experience itself that I expect from Kelly’s for the price I pay was lacking. I may as well go to massage envy.
Special shout out to Margie. Ive been here a few times and always had a pleasant experience. On this last visit I met Margie (sorry if it is spelt incorrectly). She was a ray of sunshine. Although Ive been here before, I asked her to remind me of the amenities. She was very thorough and sweet. She went the extra mile to ensure a had a comfortable experience. I feel like my interactions with her enhanced my experience today. I hope to bump into her during my future visits. Thank you Margie for being so thoughtful and sweet. You changed my visit from a day at the spa to a nice and pleasant day at the spa with someone who cared about my experience. My masseuse today was incredible too. Hands down best massage Ive had in life. Definitely going to book him in the future.
This spa is amazing. My sister and I got a couples massage. We were a little late, but they did their best to accommodate us. They moved the bath after the massage, which I was so appreciative they were able to do. But don’t be late. I’m sure it would be even better and more relaxing if we were on time. Loved. Will go back.
The service is very good. But I lost my heirloom cultured 9.5 mm pearl necklace, when I forgot it in my robe. It was a Sunday about 4:30 p.m when I left and it was at 7:00 p.m. when I remembered. That Monday the spa was closed. I think we left a message with the service. Called first thing on Tuesday. It was never found. Still upsets me to this day. I leave my jewelry at home now. My husband still gets me a full body treatment every three months or so.
My wife and I wish we would have come sooner in life. We had no idea how incredible the experience was going to be. We felt like we were in a private and secluded place for relaxing and forgot about the outside demands of life. We will plan on making it a lot more as we loved the entire experience. We came during this years valentines. Thank you to all the staff that made us feel pampered!
Facial was excellent. Staff were very kind. They provide soft robes and sandals, champagne and little snacks. I was disappointed because I expected more facilities. Really it was just a small eucalyptus steam room, two rooms with chairs to sit and relax in, and showers. Changing/locker area was cramped. We were told the hot tub outside was out of commission but we went in anyway (I guess it was a bit dirty and only half the jets were working) because there wasn’t much else to do. It was December so the Pool was out of the question. No saunas or gender segregated hot tubs.
I will say that I expected more due to the hype I’ve heard and the high price. The do have the best beds I’ve experienced they are heated and raise your and down which is great however I’m used to very good aromatherapy scents in the room along with a strong inhale of very good scented aromatherapy at the beginning of the massage and they do not really have scent going on other than some eucalyptus at the end of the massage on a towel they place on your neck. The music was skipping in the room and the lights were too bright. We arrived two hours early because we understood we would be able to enjoy the pool area prior to the massage however we were told to wait in their lounge because they don’t want to look for us when it’s time for the massage, so sitting in a quiet room looking at some candles for about 2 hours got kinda old. The lavender steam room in the ladies locker room was good at the end but I likely will not be back as the massage was just average for the price. My husband and I got the enchanted moments coupled package for reference. The chocolate strawberries are a nice touch but they were very sour.
Wonderful experience. Came for massages and got to hang out by the pool beforehand. Enjoyed drinks and sun before a truly relaxing session. The therapist was professional and did a great job. All the staff was super friendly and attentive. Cant wait to come back.
I took my mom here to celebrate her birthday and we had a wonderful time. We each had a pedicure and enjoyed lunch and cocktails by the pool. The service was fantastic and we both enjoyed the amenities. Our nail technician was lovely and friendly and we both loved our pedicures. The womens locker room attendant, Patty, was so wonderful and went above and beyond to make my moms birthday special. Definitely a wonderful way to spend a day relaxing, we will be back!
Wonderful place all around! We had the Couples and Courtship package. Complimentary juice & truffles, followed by a scrub and massage in a private villa, 30 minutes to relax with champagne and chocolate-covered strawberries, and finally relaxing private jacuzzi baths in separate rooms with cucumber and chilled towels, bottled water, and fresh berries for a snack. The eucalyptus steam room is wonderful and smells amazing. I do miss the tea they used to serve in the waiting rooms and hope they bring it back. Kelly’s spa is a truly special place. They’ve thought of every detail, and the staff is wonderful.
What a fantastic experience! The mission inn is always a good idea. My sister and I decided to get pedicures this weekend. The lovely thing about Kellys spa is that if you book any service, you have access to the spa for the day. Cozy bathrobes, slippers, juice blends for restoration or immune boost or calm. Champagne, truffles and other snacks, as well as cucumber lemon water. The staff are accommodating and always checking that youre comfortable. They have saunas, showers and quiet rooms for relaxation. One of the best items was the icy cucumber washclothes in the womens lounge. It was well over 100 degrees and it was delicious to come in from the sweltering heat and chill in the quiet room with a frosty washcloth on your forehead and neck. The actual pedicure was run of the mill, and pretty pricy, but totally worth it for the experience.
It was never so so difficult to do or manage reservation in my life before. I sent the email through their page, left voice mail, waited couple days with no answer and than called 5 times for more than 20 minutes on hold than I gave up. When I finally was able to speak with someone and make reservation after that I’ve realized that I’ll get instead of 2 hours private time (after couple treatment) in private spa villa just 20 minutes. I bought it as a gift and we were very exited to visit Hotel Inn and Kelly spa but it seems like I will have to cancel the stay and go somewhere else instead. I don’t have hours to spend on the phone just to do reservation. 600$ for couple package and not be able to even reach the spa or get the call back ? That’s ridiculous
Unfortunately, the spa is located next to the pool which was super loud. When I went for my $320 relaxation service, the hotel was hosting a poolside DJ which could be heard over the soft music playing in my room. This meant that, instead of relaxing during my 60 minute massage, I had to tolerate the distractions coming from the pool. I made a comment to my masseuse about it to which she replied that I should complain to the hotel as it was ruining her vibe as well. I had my fiancé call as I was visually upset when I got home. He spoke to Daniel, the manager of the hotel, who said they usually provide the DJ over the weekend. However, clients aren’t notified of this in the brochure or upon arrival and essentially have to tolerate it, otherwise pay a fee to reschedule due to their cancellation policy. Daniel also said he would have the spa manager call him back with a solution to which they never did. I expected a different level of etiquette here and they didn’t deliver. It’s clear they do not value the guests they have. Will not return.
My husband and I come every year for our anniversary for a couples massage and it is amazing. It is a bit pricey but usually worth it. We make a day of it relaxing by the pool and enjoying the jacuzzi. I just wish they has a private pool/jacuzzi, as there are often children jumping and splashing around in the jacuzzi. But the other amenities are excellent and relaxing. The staff are attentive and friendly.
So beautiful! My 50-minute massage was wonderful. All the staff were friendly and attentive. Most lovely.
Hubby got me a gift card, wow, so glad he did! I had a facial, scalp treatment, and a pedicure. All were very wonderful. The atmosphere is very luxurious and calming. Fresh fruit, tea, beverages in the lounge area. Use of the spa and pool as well with your visit. I felt comfortable and pampered from the moment I walked in! Cant wait to come back.
I went in for a facial, it was amazing . Val blessed me with a wonderful experience as well as everyone on staff. Had lunch at the pool and our server was GREAT! He made sure to check on us to see if we needed anything . I will definitely return.
Luxurious spa. Paid for the couples experience. Started with changing into a heavy, cotton robe. While there is a shower and sauna, they were not working. They provided fruit-water drinks while we waited, along with chocolate. The couples experience included a 30 minute soak in a Jacuzzi bath (solo, not together), which included fresh fruit, iced wash cloth with cucumbers for your face, and bottled water. There are fake flower pedals on the floor and the bath has some lavender bubbles. Then you head into a waiting area with others there for your massage. The couples one was in another small building; unfortunately, it was raining hard that day and going outside to the building was a bit uncomfortable when youre naked in a bath robe and slippers. Luckily the robes had hoods and were waterproof. The massage was 50 minutes and was very nice.
My experience here was amazing. All of the staff were so friendly and helpful. The massage was incredible, the pedicure left my feet so soft and the robes were so cozy. I cant wait to come back and enjoy another spa day.
I called to make an appointment and the woman who picked up Thea phone hated her job from the tone of her voice. She didnt ask me what massage I wanted and requested my card information. Once I gave it to her to secure the spot she said see you tomorrow and proceeded to hang up. I asked I don’t get to pick my massage? She said not for that time slot. I asked her why she didn’t tell me this information before asking for my credit card. She ignored my complaint and concern and proceeded to cancel my slot. I had no energy to say anything except hang up.
This review in no way reflects my massage therapist. She was great, professional, and kind. Unfortunately, I am bad with remembering names, so she will go down as a 5 Star unsung hero....The 3 star is for the spa itself. While everything was fine and harmonious and all that, i just didnt love this spa. I guess I am spoiled with my first spa experience being the Four Seasons in Westlake Village. Kellys Spa is located in the historic Mission Inn, in downtown Riverside. The entrance to the spa was actually really pleasant, i think they have some type of scent generator outside haha.Once in, the check in area is a little small, but very peaceful, and loaded with merch. The staff is super friendly. My real gripes with this place are:The size. It is small and you just dont feel free. Not a fan of the co-ed waiting area. The steam room was luke warmThe showers are small and there are only 2The positives are the price. While it is small, there are full amenities. Even with my 25 minute massage i was offered champagne. The staff isthe other great thing here. Every person i encountered was super friendly.I do recommend this spa though. It wasnt bad, Im just a dick.Until next time...
I was a guest first at the Mission Inn Hotel and Spa and then I worked there as the Director of Sales and Marketing. I can tell you that the plumbing in my room was scary. I never knew if the toilet would flush or not and I would be stuck in the bathroom with an overflowing toilet. As for the restaurants, the food was good except for their Mexican restaurant, which was the worst food and service that I have ever encountered. Actually, to be quite honest the soup was disgusting! The drinks were made with powdered mixes and not like what I have encountered with real, delicious ingredients like in New Orleans where I am from. Dont let the Mission that began as a Catholic Mission fool you if you are seeking to experience history. Their is a gigantic Buddha on property and the Catholic Church is closed for services on property. They have silenced real history at this hotel with paganism. As for my job, my faith was detested and my whistle blowing as well. They dug and dug until they found something on me and then fired me. What followed was the entire executive staff being fired one by one. They have more turnover there than a 24/7 Ferris-wheel. Lastly, they seemed to be very discriminating to me. The Roberts who own the hotel are die-hard Republicans and they are TRUMP supporters. Watch out! The spa performed illegal procedures while I was there and they were sued.
My favorite place. Classy, elegant, historic. I absolutely love this place wish I could afford a membership but for now I only do my birthday or treat someone on their birthday. I have been to other places but so far nothing compares to Kelly Spa at the Mission Inn.
Nice, clean, and relaxing experience. I have celebrated at least 4 birthdays at Kellys Spa.
“The best way to spend a day.”A spa day that last the whole day. Using one of their packages, I took a friend and celebrated connections. Not my first visit, but just as wonderful as I remembered. Not only are their therapists well qualified, all the staff is just there to help and pamper. No pressure to buy anything, very low key and restful. Lounging at...
Website hours not current. They don’t answer the phone or return messages for days. I called multiple times weeks before our stay at the Mission Inn to schedule a couples massage for our anniversary. I went in Friday morning when they open and was surprised to find people working I thought they were out of business .How can you schedule a appointment when they don’t answer the phone during the week? I am very disappointed
My healing massage was wonderful with Marissa however after saving spafinder gift cards for a year I was informed at checkout they no longer accept these gift cards. They no longer validate parking so park in the free space across the street. No longer a fan.
I have been a client of Kelly’s spa for many years. The spa is tastefully decorated, very clean and very relaxing. I get back massages and mani/pedis at the spa. The mail technician, Etsuko is the best manicurist! She is very professional and a delight!
I always loved the architecture of this building. But I had never been inside. Clean and eligant. Host are kind. The massage was well needed and effective. Recommend the experience
Exceptional customer service but steam sauna not working. The day was chilly but needed a getaway along with a night in the hotel.
A lovely, luxurious experience! I wanted to pamper my mom for a milestone birthday and Kellys Spa made sure everything was right. Thanks for a special and memorable day!
The amenities are very nice, and they have done a great job getting excellent staff back after reopening. Had a 50 min couples massage, therapists were excellent.
Pampered and relaxed , as I received a Deluxe Hydrofacial. When receiving a treatment, you are able to use the steam room and pool at no additional charge which is a plus!
Great staff and services provided - 5 stars. The facility - 1 star. The womens sauna not working, only one shower in the mens locker room working, and the shower in our cabana not working.
Love this place, just watch out for the extra crowd in May and December. Still, a very lovely place to relax...just one tip: If you must talk, please be kind to your neighbors and keep the volume low so the rest can relax 😉
Kellys is a awesome spa! I always enjoy my time there. The employees are always very friendly and helpful. I will definitely go back!
Lack luster spa treatments. Had a body wrap that led me to believe I was being punked. Over priced. Kelly Roberts needs to woman up and get more involved with a spa that holds her name. The entire hotel is slowly going downhill while there seems to be no change in sight. Cheap mattresses, The HideAway across the street waking you up at all hours, horrible food at every single restaurant associated with the hotel, When we think of The Mission Inn now...Meh, lets go somewhere else. Kelly thats what youre associated with....cheap mattresses. Gross.
Valerie was my esthetician and she was lovely. She had a warm vibe and made it very relaxing. Definitely would recommend.
My wife and I had the most relaxing time here and the staff was awesome. It is pricey but well worth it for the experience.
I went today and had a wonderful experience. Beautiful place friendly staff and above all very professional and clean!! I will be going back!! Thank you so much.
Staff is amazing, ambiance is perfect.
Awesome amazing Spa !! Love the facials and massage therapists are great..amenities too.No hard push on the lines they carry either which I really appreciate.
Amazing. Lil pricey but the massage by Ashlynn was definitely well needed and 1 of the best Ive had
Its ok I spect more offering more drinks only one juice is not enough its to expensive to just offer that little bit
Sat on the phone in a telephone loop for over an hour trying to get through to make an appointment . Totally understaffed. Called back only to get put in the se loop.
Awesome amenities and very attentive staff. Smells AMAZING there too. Will be back, for sure!
Wonderful spa with great services but pretty pricey.
Great place. Very relaxing and the staff members were very friendly.
