Christian was a fantastic server! We had the bottomless mimosas, huevos rancheros, papas braves, and the breakfast enchiladas with an added egg. All of the food came out very quickly and tasted great.

Had a lovely meal with a delicious margarita flight. The atmosphere is modern, chill, and the music is great. It is warm today so they could have had the AC a bit cooler.Our server Eddy was very attentive.

Stopped by for a drink and appetizers. Drinks were great. Food was good also just needed to add some salt which is fine because it wasn’t over salted.Our sever Eddie was very helpful and made sure to check on us and bring what we needed right away. Definitely recommend to check it out if your in the area.

Food was fantastic. We ordered the chicken taquito appetizer which was served with black beens, green salsa, lettuce and tomatoes. For the main entrees we got the Baja tacos and the carnitas. Both were served with a side of rice and beans. We ordered the sandía pepino margaritas and they were delicious and you could actually taste the alcohol. Service was fast and our food didn’t take too long to come out. Our bill was around $100 for 2 ppl. I would def recommend this place.

I realize it was quite busy at this time. However make your new customers know whats going on. Instead of just having us stand in the front looking like idiots. Have more communication.Finally we were brought to our table. Asked to change tables as the first option was crowded all around and oddly placed.They acknowledged us to another table all good.Moving onto the ordering and food.Our waitress was very attentive and cool.She really did make us feel special and made it a personal and great experience.Huevos rancheros.Verde sauce was very mild. Eggs cooked perfectly.All ingredients fresh. Tortillas were tasty.Id definitely order this again.ChilaquilesRed was spicy and a very large plate.Green was far more mild and a much smaller plate.Not sure how the consistency is with portions. But seems a little off here.Now lets get to the music. So loud I couldnt even hear myself think. And this is during brunch like god damn. Turn it down maybe just by 1 so people can talk? Thatd be ideal.So overall. Will I return? Sure and hopefully dinner is a new experience. With a better review and better food and less music.Bathrooms were clean. Tables were kinda clean? Things definitely need more attention with the closing crew for cleaning.Be back soon.

Let me just say the service is fantastic! Christian was our server for the evening. He did an amazing job. Great place for brunch, if you try the enchiladas beware they are a bit spicy. The Mollete is good, it’s a bolio with beans and cheese toasted and topped with sauce and avocado with pico de gallo. The server was great and had and welcoming attitude. They have bottomless mimosas which is great for about $30 and the Tres Leches cake is soooooooo good!! I strongly recommend this place for family brunch.

I’d been here a few times with girlfriends and was excited to finally bring my husband - he absolutely loved it and we’re making it a new go-to spot downtown. We were especially happy with our service this evening as we brought our toddler too - it didn’t seem like a place with many kids but our server Eddie was great and so attentive to her needs, even bringing cups with lids and straws to be extra thoughtful.

Nice decour, music, and great service. Castro who took my order was very pleasant. Food was also good. I had the shrim ceviche and grilled fish taco a la cart, which was not on the menu but they did not hesitate to provide it. Music was light 90’s Mexican Rock en Español wich is perfect for the ambiance.

Came across Palanque while staying at the Mission Inn. First impression... Christian met us with a warm and genuine introduction. The food was delicious. Great that the menu had just right amount of choices and everyone in the family gravitated towards something that appealed to their appetites, especially the kids.Christians hospitality and great service would bring us back alone, but to top it off with great food... have to recommend everyone grab a bite and ask for Christian... youll drop a similar review... TRUST!!!

My husband & I love this place. Food is exquisite, flavorful and perfect portion control. We don’t have a favorite because we like everything, no disappointment at all from appetizers to drinks (wine), and fabulous deserts. We always get VIP service, Paolo was our server, great personality, friendly and has knowledge on whatever you ask from buffet events to food and recommendations. Awesome service, we will definitely request him for our special event.

The food was good though pricy over $40/ head without drinks. But it really did taste good the server was very attentive even with the place being crowded. Forget a couple of things for each order though he corrected it.The back table is a lil tight to sit 4 people especially with a booth on the other side, we made it work. I went for an event. The food was delicious, especially the steak and beans. I asked for a spicy salsa and I got a delicious habanero salsa. The only item I did not like was the Cesar salad because the croutons had a bad oil taste. The desert was Ok. I totally recommend the stake and beans as they have the authentic Mexican flavor.

Eddie, our server, was great! He was the perfect amount of attentive. Also, the food was great. I had the Camerones a la Diabla and it was a good amount of heat. My partner had the cheese enchiladas and really liked the spring salad mix on top of the enchiladas. It was our first time here and we will be back.

Great place to eat and drink. Fun vibe. The music and the atmosphere is fun. Shout out to Paolo, great service and knows how to show you a fun time. Food was delicious. Ample portions and the drinks are strong. Highly recommend for a group outing or even a nice date. Book a reservation online if you plan on going during peak hours, gets pretty full. Open late and plenty to do in the area afterwards.

Initially, walking in the ambience is pretty cool it’s dimly lit. The bar has a really nice set up and vibe to it.We sat at the booth a table for two,The really nice server recommended some of the Mezcal drinks I ordered the SUAVECITO cocktail with Mezcal, lime, pineapple, chareau, sugarAnd also got the CHILE PEPINOWhich had Mezcal, lime, cucumber juice, agave syrupThey both were delicious!We went on to ordering or entrées, but definitely a little bummed because they were all sold out of the case of media, which is what we were looking forward to so we were forced to get theCAMPECHANO- 7/10flour tortillas, steak, chorizo, habanero sauce, red onion, cilantro. I personally wouldn’t get it again I feel like it would’ve just been great with just the chorizo.My all-time favorite dish with the shrimp enchiladas there’s a $7 added charge but it’s very very good!Overall I’d return!

I had a very pleasant experience here despite the heat. Staff was kind to move us to a table under the shade. They even brought a dog some water. Very hospitable! The food was delicious. I really enjoyed the portion size of the food. Camilla was an excellent waitress!!! Owner and managers were also very kind and attentive to their guest. The chocolate sauce for the churros was fire 🔥. The chorizo and chilaquiles are a must try.

This is the second time coming here. The first time, I had the fish tacos, which were delicious; they had good flavor and very filling. This time, I had the enchiladas, and I chose shrimp; the green sauce was flavorful, and every bit there was shrimp and cheese it was delicious. The music is a little loud, but overall, it was good

Love coming here Sally and Felix are always so great! They always are friendly and have a smile amd say hello even when they arent my server for the evening! Both are so helpful an give great service! I always enjoy getting the chicken Cesar salad but they used to make their own croutons and they were soo good, but they just switched to tortilla strips which is great for a southwest salad or tortilla salad but doesnt really fit the Cesar salad vibe, plus they croutons were homemade in house and just so good with the perfect crisp and flavor. I hope they bring them back. Otherwise still love my salad and experience and then get to go dancing after next door! So cool that they have that here in riverside. Salsa and bachata on a Tuesday after eating great food, cant ask for more than that!

Eddie is amazing. He was fast and very courteous. The food here was very tasty and super worth the visit!! The only thing they can work on is the AC, it was very hot and humid.

Greeting was great! Vibe and food amazing (unlike previous reviews). No it won’t look like what is professionally photographed but it tastes yummy! Bar tender was good, nothing special. Mixed drinks are unique enough.

This was our first time visiting and we were not disappointed. Our server Eddie was very knowledgeable about the menu and flavors of the dishes. We ordered the guacamole, shrimp aguachile, carnitas, and carne asada tacos. The food had a good level of heat with the variety of chilies and spices in the dishes. We would definitely return.

Here is good but definitely not very good!They are fast, they serve you quickly and politely. I liked the staff and of course Margaritas here! And it wasn’t cheap, 107 bucks for two! And they add %20 tip in the check!

Christian was our waiter. My wife is very sensitive to spicy food and the guacamole is prepared with jalapeño. She really wanted guacamole so Christian went out of his way to make her a side of guacamole from scratch. He was also very helpful with getting our young children fed by offering creative suggestions with the appropriate portions. Our experience was great and we recommend this place for family dining, date nights, or grabbing a quick snack and drink.

We went to celebrate my daughters birthday and was too hot 🥵 inside of the restaurant. Since we got there, we asked them to change the TV channel to see the Dodgers game, and they never changed it 😒You need to pay for parking 🙄Then , I never go back to the restaurant

Honestly if anyone ask for the best Mexican restaurant in a Riverside I tell them Palenque! The food never disappoints! Papas bravas and esquite to start. For entree I order carnitas tacos with a side of palenque rice!! My favorite cocktail is Savecito! A ofrecer date night or a Sunday dinner with the kids! Ask to sit in Eddie’s section! Great service!

Everything overpriced. Not so good drinks, not for the price: $60 dlls 4 small margaritas sampler, 17 dls most of drinks (about 16 oz). Food ok. Total for 7 drinks, 2 entrees and 1 appetizer was $230 + tip. Only good thing was the waitress he was really friendly. Aesthetic place

Disappointing Brunch ExperienceI visited Palenque for brunch on Sunday and unfortunately, it was quite disappointing. The food was mediocre at best. The bread from my mollete tasted like old oil and I really paid $18 for pan con frijoles and queso 😵‍💫. Most of the food arrived at room temperature rather than hot. The portions were on the smaller side. The brunch menu is extremely limited, though they do offer a wide range of alcoholic beverages.The service was just okay; we had to sit with dirty plates for a while before they were cleared. Theres a waiting area by the bathroom…since theres only one bathroom available.My agua de limón tasted like they squeezed an entire yellow lemon, including the peel, and added just a few drops of water. On a positive note, my table was ready on time and the hostess was very nice.The chips, salsa, and guacamole were decent. But my husband, who usually has a stomach of steel, ended up with a stomach ache and had to run to the bathroom because of the enchiladas.The main reason I chose this place to celebrate my birthday was for the blueberry lemon tres leches, but it was such a letdown. I should have just bought a tres leches cake from the grocery store.To top it off, I was told I needed to purchase an additional dessert in order for them to sing happy birthday to me since I didn’t tell them when I initially ordered the first 2 desserts. This policy is ridiculous.The only thing I genuinely enjoyed was the music playing, which had a great millennial clubbing vibe.Overall, this place is overpriced and the food quality is not worth it. I wouldnt recommend it for a special occasion or even a casual brunch.

My time visiting Palenque and reservations were made for 12:30 pm, but since I arrived 10 mins earlier, I could not be seated unless there were 2 ppl. I did not like sitting outside in the sun. The drinks were not all the hype and the food was fair. Customer service was great. I truly enjoy pur server personality.

Great experience on a weeknight for dinner with coworkers. We ordered a few apps, a couple entrees and churros for the table. Food was really good portions and flavor. Shoutout to Christian for checking in on us regularly.

Got here during happy hour and the specials were very good. For $20 I was able to get 4 steak street tacos and two Modelo bottles. The free chips and salsa were especially tasty. The salsa had a nice sweetness to it that wasnt too sweet. As for the heat I would put it at the lower end of mild.

Eddie was absolutely incredible. We came in for a friends birthday dinner and his professionalism and dedication to providing excellent service was absolutely outstanding. This was a nice little Mexican restaurant downtown riverside. I must say that the food was very good. The ingredients for fresh, the presentation and the portions were good. Nice little spot to have lunch.

I went to this place on cinco de mayo with my family I was excited to try out their food just to be disappointed. The guacamole was good and the drinks where good but the enchiladas where sour no flavor and the beans needed flavor. The quesabirria consome was sweet not good at all lacked in flavor, was very disappointed to have wasted money I was hoping for better food.

We were at the prohabition and we didnot receive any service while sited for 30 min so we decided to walk out and started to walk around looking for a new place to eat and decided to walk into Palenque and Wow was it the best choice!! We are sat in 1 min and was served quickly.Christian B was our server and he was AMAZING very attentive and kind amd easy to just talk too..the environment had a great Ora but having Christian as our waiter made our experience here that much more awesome! I was looking for a spot to take my wonderful hubby for an early Fathers Day celebration, when I stumbled upon this joint! I was a little confused though when my reservation for Palenque Kitchen, showed up as Mezcal Cantina y Cocina, through the Open Table app. Turns out, that Mezcal is actually on the other side of Palenque Kitchen separated by a wall. Theyre one in the same, just different names and vibes. At any rate, our server Sally, was the bomb.com, the food, and pound cake dessert were bananas delish!! My son and I got the enchilada plate, and my hubby got the El Jefe. Now, if I had to say anything about the El Jefe plate, is that it is over priced at $50, while the enchilada plates are better priced at $16 a plate. Lastly, the Jalapeno Cucumber Margarita is a must try! Well definitely be coming back!

Eduardo always makes the experience such a great vibe he is the Best! Best Pulpo ever ! The fajitas and carne asada is a must try! As far as Drinks... I had the Mercadito and Oxacan lover if you like Mezacal. Vic and Hayle are exceptional behind the bar!

The service was a little slow at first, but they seemed a bit understaffed (like most other restaurants at the moment). Once our server Eddie had a chance to greet us, everything went well. The food, although a bit pricey was very good and the atmosphere was great with the music being at the perfect volume.
