Saw Satinder Satraaj (Sourh Indian Punjabi singer) live and it was a great concert!!Nice venue - not too big or too small - it was clean and staff was very nice and professional and patient!Nothing wow or stuck out to me but remember it’s Riverside, which is not a major city.Security could’ve been more staff. Most of the crowd didn’t sit in their seat. Poor guy - felt sorry for him bx he could not control the crowd. Punjabis with great music and alcohol - one security guard won’t tame us. I’m guilty of not sitting down. Felt sorry for the ones who paid and wanted to sit and watch the artist sing 😞Decent food court with live dj next to it.For me the highlight was staying at the mission hills hotel (4 min walk) and the artist.

Wonderful old art deco 1,600 seat theater with good acoustics. Not a bad seat in the house. Full bar inside. Friendly and considerate security . Ample parking. Only 4stars cuz management needs to get a clue... the line to get in wrapped around the building because they only had 1 employee scanning tickets to get in. Managements poor lack of planning caused people to miss some of the show.

12/10/2017 Goo Goo Dolls concert, first time to Fox Theatre. The second picture is my view from center of row O on the balcony before the show. First picture was my horrible view when the show started thanks to the group in front of me. There was NO reason to stand. Everyone has a great view while sitting, even from the balcony. They stood the whole hour and many people on the balcony had to move chairs. Would the ushers PLEASE make sure people stay seated during the show?? Im glad I didnt pay more for the other seats because a lot of people moved to the $45 seats when they paid for the $35 seats. They have a bar too so I was also trying to hear over the drunk people yelling. If you want to party with the drunk jerks then the balcony is for you. But sit somewhere else if you want to enjoy the show.

If youre going to a show here, be warned that your show might actually start 60 to 90 minutes later than the time it says on your ticket so you might end up waiting for a long time or missing your after-concert plans.Once you actually get inside, this is a nice venue, with lots of places to buy drinks and snacks, and plenty of bathrooms (go downstairs to find the extra bathrooms).More details about my experience at the Fox PAC:1. My ticket on the LiveNation / Ticketmaster app said 6:30pm and that was the only indication of the time, so I assumed the concert started at that time. I later learned that the actual plan was to open the doors at 6:30pm and start the concert at 7:30pm, but due to an inadequate number of metal detectors (two), it actually took about 90 minutes to get everyone into the theater and to their seats. When show finally started at about 7:56pm there were still maybe 20 people walking around in the theater trying to find their seats when the first song started.2. Because of the premature start, I had the unpleasant experience of people standing up and walking in front of me lots of times during the first few songs. Also, they turned the house lights off when the show started, which made it very hard to read tickets or seat numbers.

I have attended many events in this theater and will likely continue to do so, as all of them so far have been amazing. However, recently my friends and I attended a comedy show there and witnessed some unsafe conditions. I post this publicly so that hopefully the center management will work to fix this problem. We were sitting in the upper balcony, on the left side facing the stage, right behind a stub wall with a decorative wooden top. At this point one set of descending stairs has a landing/walkway and then the stairs continue further to the left. We noticed several people stumble and almost fall descending the stairs at that point, so my friend and I started feeling anxious about the poor people who were stumbling. She even pulled out her phone flashlight to better light the area when we noticed people walking down. Something about the angle of the two flights of descending stairs and perhaps insufficient lighting made it much worse. Then, despite these efforts, a woman with short, brown hair in her 50s or early 60s DID stumble and fall down 5-6 steps, landing backward, legs akimbo. She was shaking and hurt. Fox theater management: this safety issue must be addressed or more people will fall and get hurt!! There could be more lighting added on the steps or glow tape added as a temporary measure, but it is not safe and will cause injury if left unaddressed.

Sold out performance of Jersey Boys. Lovely venue, great show, but due in part to audience not settling down and also due to announcer not projecting his voice well, announcements for upcoming shows were muffled and hard to understand. Show started about it 10 min late. Long rows of seats without a middle aisle in balcony make it hard for people seated in middle area to reach their seats without disrupting half the entire row. Especially irksome during the show when a person seated in midrow wants to get out to use restroom etc.

I personally just someone who has enjoyed the Fox Performing Arts Center only from the outside. Im yet to step foot inside, but non the less I am enthralled every time I walk past it. The classic architecture from a more neighborly time when people cared more for total strangers than they seem to today, is something of great beauty and I cant help but stop and enjoy the beauty of building that younger generations who have not seen buildings like it before might think it was built for a movie prop for a movie about the 1930s or something. Next time you go by take a real look at it or any of the buildings near by and appreciate the artistry of the time it was built and exquisite it true is.

The ticket times for the theatre are never correct. Typically, they’ll have the show listed as an hour earlier than the actual start time. Further, they won’t let you in until the time on the ticket. Doors will not open at all until about half an hour before the show.I brought a couple of senior citizens who have difficulty standing to the show, and there was nowhere to sit whilst waiting. The amount of people inside the theatre waiting to get in the doors led to some pushing/jostling, which makes it more difficult for those who already have difficulty being steady on their feet.

The program on the website and on the tickets was listed as starting at 7 pm. So we arrived shortly after 6pm and people waited outside in the rain and cold for almost an hour. At 7pm we were allowed into the building- there we had to wait standing in the lobby with literally hundreds of people crammed together until around close to 8pm when the doors to seating was finally opened. It was definitely a serious firehazard to have that many people crammed together in the lobby and made to wait. Inside the theater the rows of seat were VERY close together . Not too comfortable. I spoke to a supervisor about the firehazard with so many people crammed together in a small place ( Anne Marie) and she responded I only do what Im told to do. It was Chaos!! If any of us had called the fire department the premises would have been shut down for sure.

First let me say that I am fully vaccinated and I am all in favor of venues requiring proof. However, we had tickets to Josh Turner last Thursday night at 7pm. I check my emails daily, usually in the morning. Gmail classifies Ticketmaster emails as bulk sender due to daily promotional emails thereby no notification is sent. The email updating the vaccine policy was sent 4½ hours before the concert started (2:23pm). When we arrived the line stretched down the street and around the corner. Fox employees past out masks to those who needed them but said nothing about needed a vaccine card. Half way through the line the table limiting the size of bags taken into the theater had me take my sister-in-laws purse back to the truck, but did not mention the vaccine card requirement. It wasnt until I walked up to the 3rd floor parking structure and back to the entrance that anyone said a word about my vaccine card. Of course, as it should be we were not allowed in to see this concert. Fox should have notified Ticketmaster before 2 pm. This lack of communication in a timely manner cost me $130. Lesson learned and the reason this wasnt a one star reviews was I now carry my vaccine card in my truck for circumstances like this.

Beautiful venue, comfortable seats, great sound even in the cheap seats friendly staff, easy parking. My only complaint is that they allow hoards of patrons to get up and down during a performance. It may have been a crowd with a lack of knowledge of theater etiquette, but they should have been instructed to only walk back to their seats in between acts. It was very distracting to have 7 or 8 people walking to their seats during the show, causing people to not be able see what was happening on stage. It was a constant problem throughout the show, not just at the beginning with late arrivals.

I have seen many concerts and musical shows here and sat everywhere from second row to back of the balcony and I can say that there is not a bad seat in the house. The sound system is excellent and the theater has been beautifully restored. There is plenty of parking in the attached parking structure. Box office is open every day so you can avoid ticket master fees by buying your tickets directly.

Saw a great performance by Celtic Thunder last week. They were incredible. We would give the beautiful theatre 5 stars but were disappointed with the way wait lines are unorganized and once inside, how one side of the theatre opened and our side had a 30 minute delay. Many patrons were complaining. We have to say your theatre is gorgeous. Maybe it was just this nights staff not communicating with one another, but it did detract from what otherwise would have been a perfect night!

We went to see comedian Bill Burr here (he gets one star). The acoustics were great, and the theatre is pretty. It was uncomfortably warm, and every time someone needed to go by to get to their seat or leave (which was an inordinate amount of times because the rows are very long with only a couple of breaks in between so anyone in the middle had to walk all the way to the end to get out) we would have to literally stand up so that they could squeeze by. It happened at least 5 times! There were no large screens showing close-ups of what was happening on stage, so we missed facial expressions or silent actions. I honestly cant recall the last large venue that I went to that didnt have at least one large screen, with a camera. I think it mightve been sometime in the 90s?. Even all of the churches have them now...We had to leave the venue at the end and go to a nearby bar in order to find a bathroom. The line for the MENS room was scrolling out of the door at Fox! The mens room! That never happens. So, large, pretty theatre. It is not built to comfortably accommodate all of the people that they pack in there.

Let me start by saying this is a lovely theater. It has the charm of the old movie house from the golden age. But it can be extremely hot inside! Weve been here many times and the temperature is b usually warm to uncomfortable no matter where you sit. With that in mind, there isnt a bad seat for viewing the stage. A solid local venue.

Great theatre. A lot of seats available for the audience to sit in. And a great stage to be filled with actors and or comedians. They have restrooms inside the Fox theatre and they also sell drinks such as soda and alcoholic beverages. And lastly, they also sell popcorn for those who like popcorn with their entertainment. I would like for everyone here to enjoy this wonderful place and get the best out of it. For it brings joy and wonder. May God bless you and may you all enjoy. Thank you.

I guess I can understand that the area isnt the best, but after walking through a metal detector and looking through our bags, they still insisted on using a wand on everyone coming in... including my 90 year old grandmother who was walking with a cane! Im giving this 2 stars because the show was nice and the facility itself isnt that bad... but charging $60 for a ticket to treat my grandmother like a potential criminal ruined the experience for me.

But it is so much fun tobsee it at a theatre! And this place was great! The interior is just beautiful! The staff was very curtious. But the ancient seats were really bad. The seats are from a time when most of the population was an average of 5.6. Or even less. Its hard to sit here for more than an hour. You have no elbow room sitting here. The movie was great. The refreshments were... Well $5.00 for a 12 ounce can of soda. Yeah... I will visit again, but will stay away from the sodas. It really is a very nice theatre. And they have some really cool upcoming shows. Hope you like it too.

Stage theater in downtown Riverside Ca. Old historic building. The decor is beautiful. But the lighting in the foyer & hallways are a dull yellow, which made it hard for me to focus & see where I was going. There is an elevator for disabled persons to take you to the balcony level. A connected parking structure to the theater is available for a fee, I think. There are other parking structures in the area that after 5 pm no fee is charged. But they are not connected. So you have a little walk to & from the theater. The theater does allow drinks & snacks to be consumed while watching, but only those that that are purchased there. No outside drinks or snacks are allowed to be brought in. Bags are checked. The seats are very close to each other. The was no elbow room. But maybe that was just the balcony section. I still would go back again to enjoy a night out. But the drinks & snacks are pricey. So there are a lot of places to eat & get a drink or two around the area before we go to the theater. The Fox Performing Arts Theater has always got something good going on.

So my girlfriend and I had purchased tickets for the Up movie experience. Now we are HUGE Up fans so you can imagine our disappointment When we walk into the theater and there sits a fox theater back drop and in front of it was NOT an up house but a random dog house with a measly 8 balloons and the plush dog in the dog house wasn’t even the correct dog for the movie. Not to mention the lighting was horrible making us not want to post the picture whatsoever! I would have rather seen a cardboard cut out of the up house then a random dog house. And The pop corn was super salty, but they did gladly exchange the popcorn though. Then the candy bar was just all random and looked like random candy just thrown on a table. But we expected an UP EXPERIENCE, and in our books we were greatly disappointed with the effort put into this event! With the profits these kind of events pull in we expected more out of this event! Also it’s super freezing outside, do you have to blast the AC inside as well !? Then the letters for your rows are missing making us guess at where our seats were. They offered to help us find our seats, but there help was, “ok go down to about the middle and your seats are on the left”. Then one of the arm rests completely fell off(O107), and we were missing all the cup holders in front of us(P105&106). By the way the second batch of pop corn was still SUPER SALTY. We made it about an 1/8th of the way through our second batch of popcorn. Thank god for our overly priced $3 good old fashioned Hershey’s with almond chocolate bar. It was yummy. They played Disney music for the hour before the movie started but never once did an Up song come on.2 DISAPPOINTED UP FANS.We would like to know how Fox Theater plans to do better in the future!

I left because I was experiencing pain. The conductor instead of stopping and getting the sound engineers to fix it, made a joke about how it was not their fault and went on playing. I do not recommend this theater or this band.Update: The owner, I guess its Chip Davis is a standup guy. He declared the concert was cancelled and refunded all the money we spent for tickets. This stellar review for Live Nation Security is Way Overdue.Backstory: I had the good fortune of landing 2 of the very last available seats for Derek Hough on May Thurs, 30th; which, as you can imagine, were at the very top of the theaters balcony. Nevertheless, we were going! and I was poised to take my 87yr old mother to see one of her favorite performers live! What a grand surprise! Being that I work in Riverside, I had some knowledge of the area and planned my parking strategy well. I had even made 2 different calls in as many days to confirm that this was indeed a good plan. And since it was assigned seating, there was no need of stressing to arrive way early. However, Upon arrival we found that our perfect spot was closed and we had little time before the show was to start. So I dropped off my tech challenged mom with tickets that needed to be scanned from her phone as I sought parking that would be reasonable to trek to in the dark after the show.OMGosh!!!! There was nothing Anywhere that wasnt across construction sites and/or blocks and blocks away. All way too far and cumbersome for a pair of distinguished women of a vintage age to be slogging in the dark of evening this side of midnight. Thus begins the lavish experience we encountered with numerous Live Nation Attendants that would make our evening not only safe but exceptional ,and more than accommodating.Suffice to say, Julian went out of his way both inside and outside the theater to make sure we were easily parked nearby, that we had adequate access to elevators and ushers to offer support. I had a recently injured knee and end up requiring a wheelchair and assistance immediately upon entering the venue. Juan took me up to the mezzanine where we learned that in order to meet up with my mom I would need to hike up to the second row from the top of the theater. Yeah, at this point that wasnt happening. At this juncture Beverly stepped in and finagled 2 alternate seats on the main floor so I didnt have to make that climb and mom and I could sit together. The generous treatment did not stop there. I was seated first, preferring to let my mother wait until intermission to relocate and immediately the YIP treatment continued and even stepped up a notch. A woman whose name I believe is Jo (Im so sorry darlin if this incorrect; - middle-aged woman with short brown hair ) got me to my new diggs and offered essentially bottle service. At intermission when my theater partner was to be shown her new seat, my mom was nowhere to be found. Bless her heart, what happened to my mum??? Jo went off to fetch her to no avail, though not without every effort. Then dear, dear Julian came round to check on me, learned that we were still not unified and took it upon himself to run up those 3 flights of stairs (elevator was on the blink) to find her himself. And again, in no time Julian escorted my sweet mum to our new seats. And once again, the wonderful Jo was right there asking to take her order. The attitude of every single person, from every department (especially Security), was so kind and eager to help. We were treated like royalty. At programs end, Julian and co. were again right there to wheel me and escort us all the way to our car.I cant say enough about these generous and remarkable human beings. Their caring made the difference between having a wonderful, enjoyable and memorable evening, and enduring one of pain and exasperation. This night has evolved into one of the most precious experiences my mom & I have shared together and one she still references when talking with family and friends.Bless You All- I may not recall each of your names (...you know who you are!) but I will always remember your kindness.

Staging allowed side seated audience to see back stage, exit lights, actors moving around which was very distracting throughout the performance. Powerful subs provide decent base but the lack of midrange and harsh highs make sound awful. This could be fixed- but so far I have seen no improvements.

The Fox Theater in Riverside is nicer than most broadway houses in NYC. They did a tremendous job on the renovations and the city is starting to get great acts in consistently. Nothing better than being able to stay local to enjoy top-rate entertainment.

First off Dane Cook was awesome. The theater was great. However the drinks were way over priced. I recommend pre gaming before you go.

This theater is quality. Very nice VIP room. The seats did give me a little pain in the back of my neck but the viewing and sound was good.
