Bodywork Unbound Therapeutic Massage & Spa

Recently, I had a 90 minute massage with paraffin dip add-on with Andrew. Ive been to BU multiple times, but this was my first time with Andrew.Anyway, I did not get much of an actual massage during my massage. I feel like I got a stretch/alignment session and I ended up just as tight and tense as I came in! I was feeling so bad that I had to return for a 30 minute massage with my usual therapist, Kate.As I was checking out today, Kate wanted to know how my back was feeling. I said it was fine. Her response, to me, indicated she was glad she got me some relief because I was super tense and she was worried she didnt have enough time to fix it. I smiled and paid without a fuss, but internally I was fuming! Her words confirmed my suspicion that I had gotten the worlds most worthless massage a week earlier, because why else would a therapist worry they couldnt get me relief so soon after?I always assumed that, regardless of what technique or pressure my massage therapist chose to use, the final goal would be the same: loosen my muscles. Not so, apparently.Andrew was nice, and Im sure his techniques work for other people, and his focus on alignment provides relief to other people. But none of that was good for me, and I had hoped he would have realized that himself and corrected course accordingly. Yeah, my spine/hips might be a little straighter after 90 minutes, but who cares about that when my back is so tight even sitting down is uncomfortable?!Waste of $200!

I have had massages with Katie and Leanna. They are both wonderful. I highly recommend Leanna if you like deep tissue - she really went in on me, which is what I really needed at the time.I opted for a medium depth massage on my second visit with Katie and it was incredible. She has wonderful technique, listened to my needs and she has a calming presence.

I had a 90 minute massage/ sugar scrub from Jess this week. The room was beautiful. The temperature was perfect. The sugar scrub felt amazing, but her hands are incredible! Great relaxation, pampering and she worked on a few sore spots in my neck and back. Highly recommend Jess!

When you walk in, theres a sudden peace within the atmosphere.I absolutely love everything about this place. Everyone is so welcoming.Holly is amazing. She has my back feeling brand new and is now my go-to!Definitely recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This was such a hidden gem. I went in to try it so just booked a hot stone 30 mins and a foot scrub. It felt great and was just what I needed. The rooms were so relaxing, the therapist was super accommodating and kind. It was very easy to book online and prices seemed reasonable. The only reason I gave a 4 is because it was a bit hurried, but that was on me for booking a 30 mins!

I absolutely love BU and the people that make it what it is. Karen is amazing at explaining everything and doing what is in your best interest. Mackenzie was so nice and gentle. Autumn is hands down the best massage therapist I have ever had! I will forever love going here

I have gotten regular massages for over 30 yrs. This was my 2nd visit to Bodywork Unbound & I have a 3rd appt. booked. I wish I had discovered them sooner when my previous therapist was no longer practicing. The location is also very convenient for me.I had appts.with Kate & Autumn. Both were attentive, professional knowledgeable & skilled. My last appt.was one I squeezed last minute when I overdid an activity & had neck/shoulder discomfort. Autumn used techniques (trigger, targeted muscle & text neck) that resulted in relief. I felt immediately better.The rooms are relaxing & peaceful-a definite spa like experience!I highly recommend Bodywork Unbound!

I bought a couples massage as anniversary gift for my partner, and I can safely say it was a success! It was both of our first massages so we were nervous, but our LMTs Holly and Autumn were very kind and put us at ease. They took the time to speak with each of individually and customize a massage for each of us. The person at the front desk was very friendly, and the waiting room and massage rooms were well decorated and put us in a state of relaxation. 10/10 would recommend Bodywork Unbound. Incredible experience. I had a deep tissue herbal pain relief massage with Jordan and she expertly helped alleviate an enormous amount of pain and stress in my back and neck. She seemed to know exactly where my toughest spots were without me having to say anything. It was a very peaceful experience and Im definitely coming back again as soon as Im able to. Its well worth the price.The atmosphere was much nicer than other places I have been to before. Everything looked and felt up to date and the room I was in was elegant and pretty. I plan to get my mom a gift for a facial here. Everything seemed very clean and organized, and both Jordan and the receptionist were professional and very polite.

Holly was professional, compassionate, and did an amazing job on my massage. I’m a mom of 5 and business owner, so I have a pretty high-stress life. I felt so relaxed even while she worked through some pretty big muscle knots. I woke up this morning feeling like I have a whole new body! I’m already booked for my next massage next month.The front desk staff was polite and very helpful. The spa itself is clean, relaxing, and beautiful. I enjoyed every part of my experience.

Paid for 60 minute massage but got a 45 minute massage. They count minutes from the time you step foot in the door to the time you pay. Massage was ok, when doing full body that does not include hands or feet. I’ve tried this place a few different times, I guess it’s just not the place for me and wanted to leave an honest review. My fiancé however had a great masseuse — so it’s the business that’s a problem, not the massage therapists.

If youre experiencing neck/shoulder pain and headaches you NEED to visit Holly. She spends the time getting to know your needs and then uses the most amazing pressure to work it out. She is through and genuinely interested in making you feel better.

I have gone to Lindsey a few times in the past year for Ashiatsu and it is the best decision Ive made for my body, as regular massages doesnt usually get the job done that well for me. The pressure is great but most importantly, Lindsey asks for and really gets all your trouble spots. Her routine is based on your needs, she is super nice, easy to work with and does a stand out job. Each session I truly walk away feeling so much better, which is why Ill always keep coming back.

My mom and I just went for a Mother’s day treat, And had the BEST couples massage in their couples room.My mom had Chelsea for a regular therapeutic and said she did an “wonderful and amazing job. Found all the knots and worked them appropriately. I had more tension in my body than I though.”I had Karen for ashiatsu ( a wonderful modality with deeper pressure and broader strokes with their feet). She was phenomenal and knowledgeable. She checked in with me every so often to make sure I was comfortable. I feel amazing. I know I will be a little sore tomorrow from all the knots and tension she worked out, but it’s worth it.The atmosphere and employees are wonderful. Clean and sanitary environment. 10/10 recommend this for anyone looking for some bodywork (no pun intended).

I had a 1 hr Ashiatsu Massage with Mandi. She explained what the massage would be like and asked for feedback as we went through the session. It was a good experience and I can recommend her and the Bodywork Unbound Spa as well. The facilities there were nice.

Yesterday I had my first, and certainly not last, ashiatsu massage from Mandi. I had always wanted to try this kind of massage but also wasnt sure how I felt about being stepped on and massaged with feet.Mandi walked me through the process and how she customizes each experience for her clients, which includes draping options, body area focus, and types of pressure. This made me feel very comfortable throughout the experience.In my massage history I am more accustomed to LMTs using hands and elbows, but mixing in feet added a new layer of assistance and more dimension to the massage.For example, Mandi was able to provide certain push and pull movements simultaneously which almost felt like there were two people massaging at points.Mandi listened well to both me and my body and provided a wonderful experience that helped my body feel great. I highly recommend you give her a try, shes awesome at what she does!

Beware - if you have to cancel within 24 hours for any reason- and I mean any reason, dont go here.Ive been to Bodywork Unbound several times and was very happy until today. I made an appointment several hours prior on the same day. When I got out of work, my car had been broken into and heavily damaged. I called right away to tell them and sent a text with photos as proof that this was an emergency. I had to leave a message when I called. I got a call back letting me know that the therapist needs to be paid, so Ill be charged 50% but I can use part of that for a future visit. No, that visit wont be returning.

Our first time here. We had couple massages for our anniversary. We usually go away but decided to stay local and support a business in our area with all the suffering with covid 19. The massage was fantastic and the communication and professionalism was excellent. The room and the entire spa was clean and calming. Kate and Andrew did a great job. Would recommend and would continue with the services there on a more regular basis.

They were so accommodating when we had a scheduling issue and were more than kind the entire time. The massage itself was amazing and the masseuse was so nice and caring about my relaxation and well being. I had an amazing experience, will be coming back and recommending it to my friends!

I have been seeing Karen for several years now and her other therapists when she is not available. I have received different types of treatments from her and her staff. She is constantly training her staff on different methods of therapy. I have never had a bad session since I have been going there. Never have I stuck with a therapist for so long. Bodywork Unbound deserves more than 5 stars. I highly recommend booking an appointment.

I have now gotten 3 massages from Mandi and she never disappoints. I always feel better walking out, she works out knots and tightness that I didn’t realize I had, and she’s always so professional and accommodating. The setting is perfect bed warmers, low lighting, a sheet (and blanket but I don’t keep that on, I run warm), and soft instrumental music. This is a great studio and I’m so thankful to have found it. A recent car accident left me with lots of left side pain, tightness, and pinching which Mandi has done wonders to relieve. It’s so relaxing sometimes when I’m home I question if I fell asleep lol. I highly recommend this studio to anyone who needs their tightness, pain, and stress melted away.

I was introduced to this wonderful spa via an Amazon Local deal that I had purchased in Nov, 2014. They honored the coupon even though the 2 people listed on it were no longer with the spa. I had the great fortune of seeing the owner, Karen. She is utterly fantastic. She is constantly checking with me during the massage to see how her pressure is. The spa is clean and so quiet and I love all the crystals in the room. It is so peaceful having her work out all my kinks and knots. I feel so terrific when she is done. I cant say enough about this fabulous place. Do yourself a favor and call for an appointment. You wont be disappointed. Thank you Karen for all you do for me.

I wanted to try Ashiatsu massage so I researched therapists in western NY that practice it. Bodywork Unbound was the clear choice even though it was 70 miles from home. I made the trip to see Karen and I was very happy that I did. The spa is very nice, modern and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. Karen listened to all of the issues that I have with my back and customized my massage to fit my needs. I loved Ashiatsu! Very broad, powerful strokes. I felt like it actually made a difference in my condition, unlike traditional massage. Karen spent time after my session to recommend stretches and a still point inducer which I am using at home. Great experience! I Wish they were closer to home so I could visit regularly.

Ive been going to Karen for at least two years now and I cant say enough good things about her and Bodywork Unbound. Everyone is pleasant and professional, very easy to work with and they listen to their customers. Ive had facials and massages, and have never had one complaint. Would highly recommend to anyone!

Professional, kind and compassionate right from the get go. I explained the appointment was for my dad. 88 years old. Vicky gave him a wonderful massage, he cant stop talking about it. For someone who doesnt want to go any where, he will be getting another massage. Salon is clean and comfortable. Its wonderful to have such a great place close by!!

I highly recommend this place. I went for a deep tissue massage and I had a great experience with Andrew. Very professional and relaxing massage, Andrew rapidly identified what my muscles/joints needed and tailored the whole massage accordingly. He even went the extra mile after the massage to explain some of the tensions I had and show me some stretches I could do at home. If you are looking for a personalized experience, this is the place.

Holly did an amazing job focusing on the areas with the most tension. I left feeling much better. It was one of the best massages that Ive ever had. I will definitely be returning soon.

The facility takes great care for COVID 19 protections. The entire staff is kind and courteous. Andrew is an amazing massage therapist. Being my first visit he continually checked in on pressure levels and increased until it was the perfect amount. I felt great afterwards. I will be a repeat customer.

I had a facial with Karen this morning and it was the best one I’ve ever had! She was so through and my skin has never felt better! I would recommend her to everyone! Thanks for an amazing facial— I can’t wait to go back for my next already!

Excellent service. Facial was much-needed and very relaxing. Karen not only gave me a great facial but offered advice on skin care tips and samples to try. She described in detail my skin conditions and offered solutions. Will definitely go back.

I couldnt be more upset right now. My mother and sister just came back after I booked and paid for a massage and facial for each person. They told me it was the worst massage and facial they have ever gotten. $308 dollars down the tube. I will not be booking any future visits here.

Mandi. That’s all you really need to know here guys. Haha 😆 just joking. But in all seriousness she single foot-ingly 😆 gave me one of the best massage experiences I’ve had to date. Clearly massage is her calling because her charisma radiates into her clients & you will Leave there feeling like gooey jello & nothing but 100% relaxed and refreshed. She reminds me of an LMT I see regularly back home. (This was a vacation visit) she is a golden glowing lantern of all the good traits possible in an extremely qualified LMT.

Mandi, one of the massage therapists, is excellent! She explains everything in detail as to what she is doing and why. She also makes you feel comfortable in a way thats more like a friend than a client. 10 out of 10 would recommend!

Angel was amazing. Attentive, a great listener and communicator, working out tough tension spots in a way I didn’t even know was possible (hello forearms!). She made sure I knew what to expect when moving to more tender/sensitive areas like my calves and upper arms, and how to ask for relief if I needed it.I live in Dallas Tx and was home visiting family. 10 out of 10 I will return next time I am in town.

The owner Karen H. is extremely unprofessional and lacks any customer service skills. She gets clients credit card numbers and illegally charges clients for cancelled appointments even if you give over 24 hours in advance. The spa is mediocre at best. I had to cancel my credit card because she continually charged my card for appointments that are scheduled for April. Customers beware. It is not worth the aggravation. The spa is not upscale. The receptionists are unprofessional, poorly dressed and unkempt. They are not appropriately dressed. Also, in the dead of winter, they do not offer clients anything warm to drink, just unfiltered water. This place is not a real spa, just a cheap knock off.

I came in expecting to have a relaxing massage and some pain relief. I left with no pain and had the best nights sleep in about six weeks. Andrew is a gem. I found the overall ambiance to be relaxing as well. Also very professional.

Ive been to Bodywork Unbound twice and have had the best massages Ive ever had! I see Mandi for ashiatsu (barefoot) massage and she does an excellent job. I weight lift and do martial arts, so my hips and shoulder are always tight. I prefer a deep pressure massage and the ashiatsu is a great way to work out all of the stiffness and knots in my muscles. The environment is cozy and comfortable, and Mandi does a great job of explaining how ashiatsu works, communicating about pressure during the massage, and making sure youre comfortable the entire time. Dont let the idea of barefoot massage scare you -- if youve never had it before, I suggest giving it a try. It feels wonderful and is not too different than a massage using hands/arms, as most of the time the heel or ball of the foot is used to apply pressure. That being said, if you prefer a traditional massage, those are offered here, too!

Holly is absolutely incredible at what she does. She is very knowledgeable and makes sure you’re comfortable. Highly recommend her! Also the atmosphere is very calming and cozy. Go check them out!

I absolutely love my massage therapist, Stephanie, and I hate to think about leaving here, but I may need to. The business is connected to a nail salon and the door is often left open between the two businesses. I imediately get a migraine from the fumes when I walk in. Then when I pay, I leave with a migraine that lasts for several days. Definitely a horrible massage experience! I’ve complained in person about these fumes, but the door continues to be left open between the nail salon and the massage business. I thought I had finally found “MY” massage therapist after moving here and I hate to have to find a new one, over something that could easily be remedied by just keeping the door shut.Edit to add: Thank you for your prompt response! I appreciate your help and attention in this area!

I love Bodywork Unbound. All of the therapists are amazing, but of course, I have my favorites. This most recent trip, I saw Steph for a Thai Ball Massage and it was fantastic. I really need to do it more often. I told her it was a bit like photoshop and instead of erasing my wrinkles and bulges, she was erasing my aches and pains. Definitely more of a relaxation type than my normally preferred deep tissue therapeutic, however ... the pain relief benefits are outstanding and long lasting. The herbs thoroughly penetrate into my joints and relieve my crippling arthritis, definitely necessary especially in our cold winters. Steph is fantastic at everything ... Ashtiatsu, Therapeutic, Hot Stone ... everything .... but if you havent tried the Thai Ball yet, I highly recommend it. And her. :) Thank you!!!!

I had terrible lower back pain. Not only did my therapist address that, she released tension in my shoulders I didnt know was affecting me. She was also friendly and personable. I will definitely be back!

My favorite spa. They have 2 Vichy rooms. I highly recommend the body scrubs/massage. The staff is super kind and knowledgeable. Check out all the services they offer. You will not be disappointed. Very clean and comfortable. Located in the Plaza. A hidden gem for sure!

And her place of business is clean, modern, and very spa like. It is still undergoing some decorating because it is fairly new. As for the water, it is the water that many businesses bring in which I am pretty sure is spring water. Its always fresh and pure. And who cares what the receptionists wear. How does that affect a message? Although I have never seen anyone working there who is untidy. Those charges he says were not correct, were probably a mistake. Sounds like someone is just being nasty. Karen is very reasonable and wants happy clients. I am one of them and so is my daughter.This is about 3 months later and I just want to say that my daughter and I keep going back. We have both had many massages from many different massage therapists but truly, Karen is the best!

I’ve been seeing Karen for years now. I get tension headaches regularly and have lower back pain. Karen has helped me so much. She listens to any concerns I have at the beginning of every appointment and works to alleviate them. She’s consistent with her work and truly wants to help you feel better. Thank you Karen!

Christy is very professional and in addition to beIng a skilled massage therapist she is able to integrate her knowledge of mind body and wholistic techniques from her past experience. My overall sense of well being both physical and mentally/emotionally was significantly improved after the work that she did with me.

Took a 3 day Ashiatsu Deep Feet class, loved it! Beautiful place, friendly staff, Karen is a great teacher. Would definitely recommend to any therapists looking for CEU or training classes. Looking forward to another one!

I was put in for the wrong day and was labeled as a no show. Since I had no card on file they charged a friends card from the last time we were there together. They held his card on file for 6 months when he only went once. I on the other hand has been there several times and will no longer return. They cant get there schedule or accounting right. Its pretty messed up that they will charge someone elses card and not fix the mistake. So he had to go to bank and report a fraud charge as they had no permission to bill his card for someone elses appointment. I will not recommend there business practice is shady. I would have rescheduled if given chance. I was not given an email for covid screenings or a reminder text or email as I did get with previous visits. If they reached out I would have rescheduled and caught the visit was on wrong day.

In just 3 visits, Bodywork Unbound helped my shoulder pain more than months of of physical therapy and routine visits to the chiropractor!!! Friendly staff. Clean professional environment. Would recommend to a friend ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Please dont disrespect a good business to tear down their reputation in order to boost your own clientele. I called them to ask why someone would post such a negative and untrue comment and they were confused because they didnt know who I was talking about. If youve never been to a business dont rate it especially rate it in such a teenage prank manner. I go to this spa frequently for all of my facials as well as my massages and never have I seen a cob web or any type of dirt, the chrome in the bathroom was even polished! The worst thing Ive seen has been the ladies room out of toilet paper and salt from outside. Ive been to see a few of the girls and guys working there and no one has ever been unprofessional whatsoever everyone is ALWAYS helpful and polite. You should try to advertise yourself elsewhere because this business is going to be around for a long time, they have their act together and its time you took some notes Jeff Lester.

I got a Pain management herbal massage with Jerome and it was the best massage I have ever had!! Jerome is a true professional who was extremely respectful of my comfort while giving an amazing massage! Truly amazing!

Facial was great. BUT per the receptionist the owner allows her clients to bring their babies with them. So while youre waiting to relax be prepared to listen to crying babies.

Bodywork Unbound has professional, courteous, competent staff. They have taken COVID precautions that make me feel safe. I highly recommend them.

I called to make an appointment this morning, they wouldnt book an appointment for me unless I gave them my credit card info .then she told me if I had to cancel for any reason that they would charge me a 30 or 40% fee .dont just give these places your credit card info, I am battling now charges on my card I didnt make .Im not giving out my info anymore online or over the phone . I wouldnt trust this place .there are lot of other places you can go with out having to worry about someone stealing from your card .

Personable, noticed my trouble spots and worked on those, gave me suggestions for maintenance of the problem areas, and very attentive to my comfort and experience.

Have been going there for quite a while love the staff love the location and their services. Prices have gone up a bit since the remodel so have that to consider now
