This was my first time at Massage Envy and it was AMAZING! I’ve had many massages over the years but this was by far the best! Bethany did a fantastic job getting rid of the soreness in my shoulders.I also love that they have so many locations across the US. I’m really looking forward to my next visit!
Great staff made me feel comfortable and are very thorough. The massage therapist was amazing. He was able to work with a lot of pressure for those deep adhesions and then relax over areas that could not handle deep pressure. I nearly went to sleep several times because I was so relaxed.
Marjorie is the absolute best!!! I went here for a massage about a week ago and I am still feeling so good !! She does light to medium pressure but for me it was like “Goldilocks” because the pressure was just right! She was so sweet and listened to my concerns and what I like and don’t like. The massage was so relaxing and made my whole body feel like brand new. I had a baby recently and it’s been really hard to get used to people touching me. But she was so gentle. It was exactly what I needed. I had never signed up for the membership before, but Marjorie was so great I decided to that day. I also really liked Pam - she was the gal that helped me sign up. Love this location and especially Marjorie .
I would highly recommend Ben to anyone who is serious about getting their body aligned. He offers a relaxing atmosphere, and is extremely diligent and intentional with his work. I have extreme confidence in his ability to target my specified areas, but then going out of his way to work on the sub areas that could be impacting that region as well.Overall, 5/5 experience and will for sure keep seeing him for as long as he’ll have me.

Ben was super nice and confident. Felt like he really took an invested interest in making sure muscles were thoroughly worked and relaxed before moving onto the next area. Will be looking forward to more bodywork with Ben.
Karina was wonderful! It was very relaxing and my back feels much better. I also like abundant Saturday and evening scheduling options which is crucial to someone who works full time.
I recently had a massage with Benjamin at the Massage Envy Woodbury location. He was great. He listened to my problem areas and addressed them appropriately and professionally. I will not hesitate to have a massage again with him in the future.
Excellent massage from Stephanie - great work on my legs after knee replacement surgeries have healed, and on my back and shoulders, which hold body tension.The transition from the closed ME site in Roseville has been a little rocky under the new ownership -- and failure to communicate by the old owners, who could have helped immensely. I trust those problems will ease as the transition is completed.
If I could give 0 stars, I would .1.I was really hoping to enjoy this place but I feel like instead of being welcomed here and trying to have a good first time, the receptionist would not stop trying to sell us on a membership. Even after explaining it wasn’t worth it and not a good experience / right fit for us, she wouldn’t give up on that and personally just felt like she was more happy to Take our money instead of making this a good first time.2. We were told to arrive 15 minutes early for paperwork, when we got there , we consulted for the 15 minutes about where our pain stems from , but when we got the massage, none of them focused on any of the areas we mentioned. In fact the message just felt like a really intense back rub that I could’ve gotten from a toddler. After telling the receptionist the woman didn’t focus on what we had consulted, she proceeded to ask me “well why didn’t you say anything” what was the point of consulting 15 minutes early if the woman doing the actual massage wasn’t going to look over it first before doing it , why do I have to tell her when you made me come early to create a profile ?3. For me - It claimed to be 1 hour long massageBut we didn’t start the session until 10:05 and ended at 10:51 - when I asked the receptionist why she cut me off short, she said because “it’s only 50 minutes HANDS ON because it’s 5 minutes to get un-dressed and CONSULT with the massage therapist and 5 minutes to get dressed after” , which is false advertisingBecause even if it did take me 5 minutes to undress and dress - why would I be consulting AGAIN on my “massage time” when I already came 15 MINUTES EARLY TO CONSULT ?FALSE ADVERTISEMENTSHE STILL CUT ME OFF at the 45 minute mark then if that’s the case.Ultimately , I didn’t mind this bad experience because I just wanted my mother to be satisfied for her birthday, but after hearing that my mom felt MORE PAIN after getting the massage really threw me over the edge. Even after my mom expressing that to the receptionist , she still tried to get us to buy a membership and I just think that’s very corny.People try to find affordable ways to get their pain under control and you guys just take their money and don’t actually care about the persons experience. You’re more happy to make them a member , why? Idk maybe you get commission, I just know I’ll never step foot here again and the receptionist needs to learn better ways to make people feel more welcomed here, all she talks about is getting you to sign up and be a member.And when you’re supposedly “consulting” with her 15 minutes before, she spends most of the time talking about herself and her own car accidents which is ok because we are all human, but it’s showing how much time you just need to waste to make this place seem organized. I asked a yes or no question, there was no reason to bring up that experience. I am new to this Massage Envy location. From the time I walked in I felt welcomed by the team. Stephanie, my massage therapist, did a thorough job understanding my needs/concerns and then provided a massage to address those issues. Stephanie also made recommendations for future care. I feel confident that I will receive great service and care in the future at the Massage Envy Woodbury.
I was a member years ago. My hubs gifted me a message so I took advantage of it today. Lets just say the building has seen better days and the parking lot is about as bad as St Paul side streets. Just needs some TLC. Broken door handles, weird giant air scrubbers, moldy tile spots in the bathroom, and patched paint arent very relaxing. My massage was over all his but she was 15 minutes late getting started due to the previous customer not leaving the room on time. Ho hum.
Joseph was awesome. He was very attentive to my needs and areas of focus. Asking was the pressure comfortable. I will definitely return to this location and having Joe as my massage therapist.
Margie is the BEST! I’m always so relaxed when I leave. She takes time to focus on areas needing extra attention and is so pleasant!
Atlantis was great. I’ve seen her twice for a facial and both time she was fantastic.I’ve also tried the micro derm facial at Massage Envy.I find it overpriced and just as good as a regular facial,I’m not a massage person but tried a 60 min massage with Janesian. Stéphanie is a very skilled massage therapist. My massage was incredible I carry a ton of tension & pain in my neck, head & upper back as a result of an old car accident injury & my massage felt so healing & gave me so much relief from the painful tension that is usually present at some level. Among the best I’ve had at Massage Envy.
I have tried several times to cancel my membership, before the next payment period came out of my bank account. Each time, I am given a runaround, of ME’s policies. At no point, was I told that it needed to be outside of 10 days before billing, until today. I called on 3/13/24 to cancel, and was told that only a manager could do it, and they were not in. I explained that I did not want to be billed again, as I haven’t been in regularly for several months. I was assured that the manager would take care of it the next day. Fast forward to 3/16, and I see the charge is pending. I tried calling several times on Saturday (during business hours), and only received an automated message, to which I left a voicemail. Sunday morning, I get an email with a PDF to fill out, that takes up to 10 days to process. I called and spoke with a Calissa (?), who said she is the assistant manager. When I voiced my displeasure, she quoted policy, not at all trying to show empathy, or a customer first mentality. I have been a member for over 2, maybe even 3 years. I haven’t used it as much as I would have liked; life is busy. $75 x 24 months = $1,800. I think I’ve had 6-8 massages, in that time span. Asking for my $75 refund, when in reality, it shouldn’t have come out in the first place, since I called to cancel and was assured it would be taken care of, should NOT be difficult. I think this location has profited from my lack of use of their services, enough. Quoting a policy, over customer satisfaction, in order to not give a refund, is absurd.
Atlantis is fantastic! I had a 90 min facial with her and I could completely relax and leave my skin in her hands. I had a beautiful glow when I left. I can’t wait to see her again!
With Ben, I received much needed relief from back pain. He was a good listener who homed in on the areas causing me the most discomfort. Additionally, he treated those areas with an appropriate amount of pressure and action.
Ive never been a member of Massage Envy but had a really hard time finding an esthetician for great facials. Discovered Bao at Roseville (now Woodbury Massage Envy) and she is AMAZING for facials! Definitely awesome facials!

Disappointed, purchased two gift cards in March 2024, each for a Massages. We Want to come at the same time, when I purchase the gift cards I explain my situation, I was told that would be just fine and no problem. (I neeed to drive the 2 person who doesn’t drive) there haven’t had one available time to book 2 massages at the same or similar time in multiple months, only back to back times.1 hour apart. I’ve called and i am always ask if I want to “join” or “become a member” then possibly they can help me. I just want to be able to try it and use my gift cards to be able to book two massages at the same time or with one (15 minute of each other) for me and a person with me (who doesn’t drive)

Paying a membership fee of nearly $90 a month and not one location can EVER get me into an appointment. It took two months to have online capability to schedule because of the website non-functionality but now that I can, I schedule an appointment and EVERY TIME LIKE CLOCK WORK, a person promptly calls and cancels the appointment because of any number of a sleu of excuses. I requested a manager call me a couple months ago for these issues. No call back. This membership IS NOT WORTH IT. I cant wait for the trouble they give me to cancel.

I honestly wish I didnt get a massage at all. Waste of money here, which I already had lower expectations but thought for sure 60 mins concentrating on only my shoulders and neck would alleviate the pain have as a nursing mom. Unfortunately she spent 20 mins doing the same strokes in areas that didnt even address the pain. Kinda like how you get and itch and desperately need it to be scratched, but youre really only teased by the almost. Yep that was the full 38 minutes (they were late to getting me into the room and ihad to be done by the end of the hour. ) I did get some decent response when i asked her to stop and concentrate on a pressure point but she quickly which back to her old technique. .I get a better massage at places in the mall.

I have been a member here for about 15 years and the service on every level (except for the therapist themselves) has deteriorated significantly! Since the Atticus group took them over the last few years have been horrible. They cant keep any front desk people and all their good deep tissue therapists have QUIT as well. They arent paid well and not treated well either and these people work hard (yet our dues keep going up). One front desk manager who was awesome was promised a certain salary and never got it so understandably quit. Only ignorant people dont understand that theres a cost to losing staff and having to start all over. For awhile they kept blaming it on Covid but heres the truth: other Massage Envy locations were/are NOT having these issues. I know from speaking to them they are treated better and paid for what they do. And guess what? Their staff turnover is very low.There have been so many issues with this location over the years I wont go there. FIND A LOCATION THATS INDEPENDENTLY OWNED - CALL THEM & ASK IF THEY ARE. One issue is I can never get in after work or on weekends. They have very few deep tissue therapists (how dumb when this is the most requested massage therapy) and again -- theyll blame that on the industry being short on people. If you pay for people and treat them well, theyll stay! Its a proven model in any kind of business.I wont go into the rest of the issues; Im sure you get the gist by now.

I had been a client for the last several years and had seen good estheticians come and go. The turnover had been horrible even when Covid hit three years ago. The assistant manager was terrible - lack of follow through with what she promised to do. I had been very understanding about their turnover but after what they recently did, I got fed up and canceled them. I have one session which I prepaid. Their office said I could gift it to someone but sadly, I won’t even bother.They can save themselves the time to talk to me. I can take my business to a place that can adjust to client health conditions. Mine was simple, a freeze on my membership account until I could safely go back to facial massages at the recommendation of THIER esthetician!
Ill start by saying every experience Ive had with the front desk or massage therapists was mostly pleasant and professional. However, their membership program is a complete scam and they do not hold up to their end of the bargain. They hardly have availability and Ive had canceled appointments numerous times.I was informed my membership was over in September and felt like I could finally move on from this debacle. I just realized theyve still been charging me monthly.. its now January.Do not get swindled by this establishment.

We have been here a couple of times over the last few years. Overall a good experience, relaxing massage, for an average price. We like to try new places for massages and have found others that have a bit more relaxing and fulfilling experience, but typically come at a higher cost. However, if youre looking for an average experience at a decent cost, Massage Envy is a good spot.
If this was my first experience with Massage Envy, I would have never become a member, and be giving it 1 star as I see many have you done. It just goes to show that it all depends on who does your treatment to whether you enjoy the experience or not. The person I had yesterday was certainly not worth the time or money. My appointment was for 2:30, I wasnt taken to a room till 2:45, was under the covers at 2:47. She came in at 2:50 and was out the door at 3:20. This was an hour appointment and I understand the 15 minute for undressing and dressing, so expected at least a 45min session, not a 30min. I came there for a facial cleansing with extractions. I seen the time going by, but figured with 15 minutes left maybe she was waiting till the end. When she got up, and said Ill meet you outside I asked about the extractions to which she replied, I didnt need it. The whole experience was disappointing from the point that she used gloves through the whole facial which really felt odd, and the massage was no more then someone rubbing suntan lotion on at the beach. Now I know why it is best to wait for someone who is usually booked, then one who always has openings. I gave 3 stars because I know this location does have a better aesthetician that gave me a much better experience. I like to give everyone a try because all have different techniques, but If your in a membership, Its best to just book ahead with the one that works best for you.
My appointment was supposeto be on Saturday but they booked for Sunday. That Sunday my appointment was canceled because the massage therapist didnt show up to work. They didnt not reschedule my appointment. just told me they call me when there is a opening. They Refund my cancel fee due to their fault. Poor staff communication.
They messed up my appointment. Drove all the way there only to be told there was nobody available to do my facial. Why didnt you call to tell me this instead of wasting my time and gas? I settle on a massage instead. Manager offers no discount for the mess-up. Was the worst massage ever. I wanted deep tissue, upper back/shoulders. Not full body with little prssure. Lazy. They are pushy as heck with sales, they charge you for appointments you cant make bc they take your credit card info before they allow you to book. I dislike this pushy, money-hungry company.
Massages are decent.. trying to get an appointment impossible. Theyll take your money every month but they wont have availability unless you book months out in advance which is ridiculous. I had a facial scheduled set my time to drive there and they wouldnt do it because of a prescription cream I have. They need notify people in advance to stop all treatments 5 days in advance ridiculous. Yeah I can do micro needling Botox face tightening laser etc and have no issues. Their customer service is an absolute joke! Nothing to do with the massage therapist Its the corporate run business would not recommend to anybody would not recommend to anybody.

Massage Envy requires payment information before the appointment. If you have to cancel late for any reason, even something beyond your control, they still bill you for 100% of the appointment you cant make. My wife had an appointment for her birthday and couldnt make it due to a severe migraine. I tried to reschedule and was informed of this policy.Their company line is, well we cant rebook the time. Regardless, their company has a choice. A high quality business would not choose to offload that risk onto its patrons.I cant imagine booking a restaurant, haircut, or other service and expect to pay if I couldnt make it for some reason. I strongly recommend seeking a more customer-friendly establishment for your massage.

Last month there was a severe hail storm approaching and warnings were issued to stay home. I called to tell them I could not drive to the appointment in the hail storm but they would not refund my appointment. They told me it was company policy and there was nothing they could do for me. Unreal they could not see this as an unusual occurrence. Cancelled my membership. This is not a company I want to support. I agree with the other reviewer... trying to get an appointment impossible. Theyll take your money every month but they wont have availability unless you book months out in advance which is ridiculous.
I have been a member of this location for almost a year and cannot express how frustrated I am. When I am able to schedule an appointment, the service is good. My frustration is that for the third time in the past 6 months, I have had my scheduled appointment cancelled at the last minute. Due to limited availability of appointments, I book out almost a month in advance and when my appointment is cancelled without an option to reschedule, I have to book out again a month in advance. I have not been able to have an appointment since May due to limited availability and last minute appointment cancellations. I continue to pay a monthly fee but am unable to actually use my membership. The cancellation process of a membership is not user friendly either. I am willing to try this location again some day if they become better staffed, but right now, its a waste of money.

I am very disappointed in my experiences with facial scheduling in the last 3 months.I have been cancelled 3 times since June.There were good reasons for the cancellations,but one ,I got within an hour of my appointment and today ,I did not get a notice at all,even though the manager said everyone was notified..I left a message with corporate and will see if I get a call back.I am seriously thinking of cancelling my membership.I paid throughout the pandemic to support the company and feel let down.I did not go to the soa for over a year due to the virus.This last time I was not notifiedMichelle the manager was rude and defensive.She did say she would waive my September payment.I have been cancelled the last 3 times since June 2021.Ok and
I called in to get some information on pricing and services and the employee that answered is named Ize, she was excellent and very sweet! She answered each question I had and gave me reassurance that I was getting my money’s worth. I will definitely be recommending.

It is hard to schedule a couples massage without having to schedule out many weeks in advance. They seem to be busy all of the time so we were really excited the first we got a time slot.But the 1st time we went the massage artist spent half of my massage asking me questions about Jesus and if Id prayed lately which really turned me off from the experience.My wife and I went back again and got new people who gave excellent massages and the service was overall greatly improved.
Echoing other reviews-this is an awful deal for the customer. In November, no openings with ANY therapist, much less if you want deep tissue, until February. And then you cant book into March. In one stretch, I had 3 of 4 weekend appointments (one per month) cancelled because therapist either called in sick or left early. Didnt even get a warning once; drove all the way in to find out no therapist was there. Manager wont even discuss any ways to redress issues. How can you charge a monthly fee when you cant even book an appointment? Save your money or find a different location.

The hot stone massage was really good and relaxing. The person giving the massage was friendly and nice. After the massage, I did not have a positive experience with the front desk attendant who tried to forcefully push a membership on me a little too hard. All I wanted to do was pay for my massage and leave and this left a little bit of a bitter taste in my mouth.
Signed up for the 60-min massage which is really a 50 min with 5 min to undress and 5 min to dress. I think thats a little misleading since most places list a 50-min massage. So youre not really getting any more massage time if you compare prices. BUT I was brought back late, longer than 5 min to come back for undressing, and she ended EARLIER than 5 till. Overall massage was about 38 min. I talked to the front desk and they just said we will talk to her about it but still paid full price. Actual massage was good though.
I booked a 90 minute massage. I arrived early to complete Covid screening. At this time no one mentioned the girl doing my massage was running late. I usually go to the Eagan location and this location seems really unorganized. I was put in a waiting area for 10 mins into my massage time. Once brought back an additional 5 mins to undress & 5 mins to get dressed. All in all my 90 min massage ended up being 70 mins. I also had paid for advanced muscle therapy and nothing was used in my massage. It was like the therapist had no idea what I had booked or even looked at what I wanted done/strength etc. will never use this location again.
Literally not one appointment availability for massage or microdermafusion. Unsure what the point of a membership is if you can’t accommodate appointments or needs of your clients. This has been my experience for over a year. Trying to my membership on hold is even more of a nightmare as I was a previous client in Rochester, MN. Actively trying to cancel my membership, which is also a nightmare.
If you want to pay the price for a “90 min” massage but only get 65 min worth, then head here. When I questioned this, was told 10 min is undressing/dressing. I was also brought back late. The massage therapist did a nice job but I don’t plan on coming back as this is a hefty price for the misleading antics and not-so-friendly front desk staff.
Great customer service. Welcoming and relaxing environment. Very reasonably priced if you get the membership. I saw Nick for a 60 minute massage. He did a fantastic job! Cant wait until next time!
I have had good experiences in different locations, but this one is a no go for me anymore. I paid for a facial that supposed to be 60 minutes not 35 or 40. I will go back to Stillwater location. just because i am still a member. otherwise i will look for a different spa.
Excellent facial. I usually get my massages here and they are wonderful. I decided to get a facial and found that to be a relaxing experience while receiving a deep cleansing on my face. I also learned some new tips to take better care of my face on a regular basis. Highly recommend it!!
Kalysta at the front desk is very cheery and pleasant. Chrissy is the best massage therapist I have ever had.
Nice staff, clean facility. My 60 minute massage was 45 minutes at most. Could easily be mitigated by not scheduling every therapist every hour on the hour. Massage itself was good, not great.
If you are not a member, whether you have a gift card or not, plan on having to book more than a week out (2 or more weeks is more like it). As a member you wont ever get a same day massage, its typically 2 days or more in advance. No not all therapists are great just as any other similar place. The ones that listen well & are consistent in my experience are Melissa, Bethany & Crystal. They do try to sell memberships pretty hard core at the front desk & product as well. The other thing they push is 90 min. Massages. Dont buy gift cards for someone here, they have expirations (not allowed with gift card legally for years) which they get away with by issuing a paper gift card not a credit card style that is swiped. They dont always mention the expiration so if you do buy one ask!
Great deals on their massages, and all strengths of pressure. I have had Joshs massage therapy for 8 months and I always feel great for a week to 2 weeks afterwards. He will check to see what area is troubling you and work his magic there. Plus he will listen if you need more or less pressure.
This location changed the cost of our dues without our consent or any sort of notification. Not sure how this is legal. They continue to increase prices but the service levels continue to get worse and worse.
This place was by far the worst place I’ve been for a massage. First of all, NEVER sign up for their massage club without reading the fine print. If you do, please know that they will not tell you this but if you sign up for let’s say 6 months or a year of massages, your card will continue to receive recurring charges every month beyond the “contract” you signed up for. They won’t apologize for this glitch nor will they be held accountable because apparently it’s “in the fine print.” Additionally, those massages that rack up over time expire within 60 days of you canceling your contract. So let’s say for example you sign up for 6 months of massages, but don’t realize they have repeatedly charged you for 6 months beyond the end of that contract. They won’t refund you for those additional 6 months and you have only 60 days to use them (but don’t worry, they won’t tell you that either.)Bottom line, this place is clearly STARVING for money and will do anything and everything to try and suck it out of you, even if it means they have to steal from customers through hidden fees and contracts.

Although I did enjoy the facial I too did not get the full time. When I got there I was told that the were running 15 min behind. I literally got 40 min. My biggest issue with them is that when its time to pay they ask you how much of a tip do you want to leave. They dont give you a receipt to add your tip privately they ask out loud for everyone to hear. No privacy. But I believe this is by design so you dont look like a cheap ahole to everyone around you despite your services. I am a firm believer in tipping accordingly but that is between me and my server. Will I go back? No not unless this practice is changed. There are many other options for facials and massages.
Front desk person was nice. Not too pushy with sales which was refreshing since i was using a gift card. I arrived 15 mins prior to apt. To complete paperwork. Didnt get into room until it was my 2 mins after the 60 min massage was supposed to begin. After changing and waiting for therapist to get into room 13 mins had already gone by. So, i didnt receive a full 60 min massage. 47 mins. So that was really annoying. Massage was mediocre. Ive received much better, thats for sure. Wont be returning. Not worth being scammed out of your full time.

I went for my facial appointment today and apparently they were suppose to call me to cancel the appt. I did NOT get a call and they did NOT apologize. Instead JENNY turned away from me without offering further assistance or suggestions.It is no wonder Massage Envy’s are struggling....To the manager, please teach your front desk ladies some etiquette in customer service.
Sucks. Management turnover rate is ridiculous. New manager every month. Scam artists. Do not care about the client and their back problems whatsoever but will push you to your limits to get a membership to boost their sales. I worked there for over a year and never received a review. Was told to scrub the floors on my hands and knees while pregnant, and the only performance managers are worried about is how much you sell. Crappy customer service? Look like you were in a bar fight? NO PROBLEM as long as memberships are sold!
Great Massage Envy. I really like their chemical peel treatment. The massages are good for the price, but I think the affordable facials are the main draw. Very clean facility and the people that work there are all very friendly and helpful.

This location is owned and operated by atticus franchise, a corporation whos ratings are under 2 stars. Beware of the location you sign up for. You were warned.

Have to book 2 months out for my monthly membership massage because they over sold memberships and dont have enough staff. Manager has no customer service skills and when they make a mistake in booking, they have no solution. Hard to get in touch by phone as it often doesnt get answered and the voice-mail system doesnt work. Do not go here! Horrible.
Stopped by this location to buy services in a form of a gift card for someone at 5:30 and they close at 6. They had the doors locked and were in there eating and simply just looked at me and that was it, no help or nothing no sign on the door to say they were closing early or anything. I’d never go there for anything else that’s bad business
The worst customer service I have experienced, specifically at the Woodbury location! The employees including the Manger should attend customer skill courses to enhance their business. I am thankful I was able to redirect my friends, family and clients else where and save them a bad attitude!
Horrible management. Fyi if you make an appt. with a maseuse, a different one will be there when you show up. Manager Victor Told me I needed to cancel my membership to get a refund. Then after cancelling said, since youre not a member here we cant refund you. Then told me he would have corporate contact me Nope. Didnt happen. Trying to beat Comcast for worst service.

So wanted to give my son and daughter in law a night out after having there first baby. Thanks for ruining it message envy. I paid for 1 60 min and 1 90 min. They got 1-45 min and 1-40. I have given message envy several chances and now I’m done. Don’t go to any message envy, they suck!

If you want monthly or more frequent massages this is a good value. I have had all good massages, only negative is they can get too busy.
It took me several visits before I found a good person to do my massages. Also it is a bit expensive and the contract is unfair and hard to get out of.
