The property is definitely improving by leaps & bounds with the current renovation theyre doing. The pool patio was clearly recently redone and the pool looks gorgeous, and like it will feel great & be a blast once its officially open. Staff was all very friendly & accomodating- especially front desk associate(s). Will book again- especially cant wait to go back once its 100% finished with remodel and is a totally upgraded hotel.
First, I was told they only had double rooms, yet would be charged for a single, then when i was given the key to the first room, there were blinds missing, so no privacy. When I went back, she said they only had single rooms left on the ground floor. I said that is what I asked for to begin with. She said, but you charged for a double😡. I said thats fine , I will take a single. She gave me keys for another double room after telling me they had no more double on the ground floor. . Why so much dishonesty. Rooms are semi decent. At least beds were clean, one looked like it was laid on. I paid less for better rooms on this trip. Disappointed about the experience! Irritating that I was told they did not have a single room, and would be charged for single, yet was charged for a double.
This place is a joke. DO NOT STAY HERE. Roaches in the rooms, blood stains on the bedding, rooms are dirty and doors look like they have been kicked in multiple times! They make you sign a waiver that after 15 minutes you can’t ask for a refund. We checked out of the hotel a day early and wasted 85 dollars just so we would not have to stay at this place a moment longer. When we told the front desk staff we were leaving because of the conditions his only response was “you still have to pay for the second night.” So disgusted.
DO NOT STAY HERE! I booked a room here through Hotel Tonight and it was the worst mistake of my travel life. When pulling up to the hotel, I noticed little things like the gate being broken and leaning over and a dull paper sign with Highlighter writing telling me the lobby was closed.At check-in the gentleman who said he was “the owner” led with the fact that if within 15-minutes I didn’t like the room I would have to cancel and find elsewhere to stay because he didn’t have any other rooms. My immediate follow-up question was “Well, is there something wrong with the room that you’re telling me that?” ...his response was “No” and that, my friends, was total BS.Once I walked through the damp and dimly lit hallway to assess the room, I opened the door to see a window shade on the ground, holes in the wall, and a room so overpowered by the smell of smoke. After experiencing this, my partner and I go back to see if there was anywhere else he could put us and he tactlessly told her that she would just have to “deal with it or get out”. It’s one in the F-ing morning at this point. Refusing to even talk like a grown adult, he slams the door in her face and walks away from her without a care in the world. Never have we seen such disrespectful and unprofessional behavior. This man, the “Owner” clearly had no regard for anyone else but himself and his pockets. Don’t stay here if you expect any treatment better than what you can get from a sewer rat. Never again.
Im pretty sure any good review for this place is fake. The room next to us had bullet holes in the door and the window broken out and the door of our room didnt lock. When we went to leave after 5 seconds there, we ran into two people smoking crack on the stairwell. If you value your safety, dont stay there.
Me & wife took our honeymoon trip to San Antonio. Decided to stay @ this OYO thinking it was a 3.3 star hotel. It was everything but nice. The 1st room they put us in 233 the blinds was missing &the remote tonthe tv didnt work went back to the office to let them know bout the issurs. The mgr dude gave me two more batteries that didnt work. Went back down there to let him know those didnt work either and the back of the remote was missing and replace with tape. I asking for my money back or a better room he lied and said he didnt have anything else. So i said give us our $180 plus $50 deposit u charged us & we will go somewhere else for this price.He finally acted like he had something else it was room 107 downstairs by the pool. This one was no better then the 1st room. I had to put my bkanket i brung for the trip over tje top of the window. Cuz the blinds was missing and bullets hiles was in the doors. The pool didnt have no water in it so we couldnt go swimming. The bed was made up nice but the pillowcase was dirty. The tv worth in this room and the mircowave work. The air conditioner takes forever to cool off the room. And we book the room @ 11p at night no sun was out for this long period of time to cool off a room. We didnt even stay to the 11a checkout time for Sunday morning. Me & my wife decided to leave @ 6am get our $50 deposit back & accept our bad experiences here. Dont overpay to stay at this hotel it nothing like the picture they have and its very not worth that kind of money. If i could rate them a zero i would.
Place is nasty. Boarded up portions of the rooms. Found some small roach in bathroom when checked in. Comforters with yellowish stains on them.Also Wifi really really spotty. Didn’t end up using at all.Sadly this is typical of what I’ve seen many hotel/motel owners from India do here in TX.They take a dumpy roadside motel and make it appear to be “remodeled”. When they just really paint some parts and add a flat screen TV to room, then charge a much higher rate (than standard roadside motel prices).For $8 a night we could stay down the street at a holiday inn or best western!Never staying here again!Spend the $8 more and save yourself the inconvenience.
The man at the front desk was very rude and my husband was actually refused the room. The hotel kept the money of course. I am not sure if it was a racially-based decision, but that is possible. Good riddance because the whole hotel was filthy and smelled like cigarette smoke on the outside anyway. Save your money and go somewhere that actually cares.
The room we were given was so dirty. The door looked busted down, the mattress was filled with nasty stains, cigarette burns, and was just plain gross. The refrigerator was rusted and the outlets were also rusted. I would HIGHLY NOT recommend going here. Not worth the money.
The office clerk was very rude and unaccommodating on the morning shift, today 10/17/2020. I am a senior with disabilities, and have extreme pain walking. The clerk caused me to come to the door several times. When I explained how much pain I was in he immediately told me I should leave, that they don’t need my money. I left and wouldn’t recommend this motel to anyone!!PS. The carpet was nasty!
Girl at the front was nice, super polite, we didn’t like the 30 min policy in order to get your money back, a few stains on the walls, parking lot was kind of packed probably bc of Memorial weekend, Breakfast was good, they have their own waffle maker(pretty much you do it yourself) coffee was good. Overall it was a nice stay.
This hotel is very bad the room was so messed up there were cockroaches everywhere, whenever i flushed the restroom water came out the bottom part of the toilet, the couch they had there was very dirty. The tv control didint work right, the window blinds were broken so yoi could see into the room, ive been to many hotels with the same name but this hotel is the worst hotel ive ever been to the others were nice. They even asked for A 50$ DEPOSIT they are scammers since they know how the room looks like i searched it up online and it looked awesome until we saw it in person very horrible hotel i havent even gotten my 50$ deposit back.
Worst hotel Ive EVER seen. Comforter washed incorrectly. Should have been aware of the warning that I could cancel within the first 15 minutes but the guy was Indian and I struggled to understand. Whatever you do just say no and walk away.
My comically terrible stay at this hotel is one that I will remember for a lifetime. Long story short, I checked in at 8pm only to checked out at 10pm the same night.Red Flags:1. Upon arriving, the parking lot was almost completely empty on a Friday night. We were the only guests aside from a few others.2. They make you sign a document stating there are NO REFUNDS after 30 mins of checking in. (you have to know your hotel sucks if you make your guests do this)This hotel has gone great lengths to save money and cut costs at every possible turn. Bed sheets, towels, pillows, TV and the bed are all of very poor quality. And while I am not expecting luxury staying at this hotel, some level of comfort is necessary as there are several similarly priced hotels in the area which offer a lot more.I was willing to let most of the cost cutting side until I laid down on the mattress to go to sleep. I have slept on cots more comfortable than this mattress. The metal springs were very present in the side of my ribs as I tossed and turned trying to get comfortable.Eventually you just have to know when to cut your losses. I packed my bags and checked out...and of course, no refund because...well...I signed that document.If you do stay here, bring your own mattress topper.
The rooms were dirty, the sheets had dried blood on them. The AC kept making noises, the king bed sunk in the middle, the room smelled moldy, there were bugs in one room and mosquitoes in the other room. The door would not close properly, the service person was very rude. We will never use this hotel chain again.
I booked online with oyo. Once I arrived, they did not have my reservations in their system, since they just changed the name. I have contacted the oyo and here it is day 3 and have heard nothing back about my refund.. if I ever had any problems in the past with any company(at fault) it was fixed by the end of that 5 min phone call, but not with oyo.. dont book with this company..
Beds were stained with old blood and other fluids, the room besides me was also unavailable because someone had previously broken into it. Signs of my door was also shown to be damaged by someone as well. You can jiggle with the actual frame where the lock is supposed to... lock. Another one of my fellow travel buddies actually had his door unable to lock entirely. Meaning a simple push of the door would open it and someone would have to stay to protect our things. The service was decent, but the rooms were just in shambles.
I booked through Hotels.com and a few days later I received a text message supposedly from the hotel saying my reservation could not be honored. Obviously, I though this was odd, so I called the hotel directly and was informed that my information was sold by their franchise office and that this was fraud. I confirmed that the person at the front desk was, indeed, telling me that my personal information had been sold to be used for nefarious purposes and the man I was speaking to confirmed this and told me to pay him directly. WT acutal F? Needless to say, I cancelled my reservation immediately.
Wow… called regarding early check in as requested during the booking and the man who answered was rude. Told me to take it up with who I booked the hotel with. He than started to yell and curse at me and said he was gonna cancel my reservation. I just hung up. Ended up canceling through Expedia myself.
This place is in the dictionary under HORRIBLE!!!!. Old scratched up furniture, stained mattresses, dirty furniture, shower liner dingy (need to replaced, heavy soap scum) 1 inch of light comes underneath the front entance ,bathroom door has to be pushed extremely hard to close. The provided breakfast cannot be taken to the rooms, ice machine out of order, ground have beer bottles and trash thrown around. Emergency sirens often the 1st night. Two nights no linens changed, we ask for extra or more towels. We had to give used/dirty back before recieving any.
The staff and management took great care of me and protected my privacy and information. I booked for a family member and they helped with key replacement and returned my deposit no problems.
A few things I should mention bad location the train is always going by, the bed was horrible jelly like could not settle my body into the mattress extremely soft as if beat up I wake up with body ache neck pain eye pain I was lucky I got two hours sleep wake up at 2:30 am could not go back to sleep wished I had a painkiller couldnt reconcile the sleep I decided to get up and leave Dodge. The door needed fixing a hazard to the safety, used a sofa chair to block the door, lossy toilet a real dump that needs mayor maintenance. These is not the case with others OYO Hotels I have staid before on my travels.
This hotel is horrible, half of the rooms had the doors kicked in and when I got there at 1:00 am I had a man come up trying to sale me stuff. The next morning I checked out and left my drivers license in the room and came back around 2:30 to see if they could look in the room or ask the made if she found then and he refused to do so and told me I would have to wait till the next morning. So I sent my husband the next morning and he told my husband because I caused a scene the day before he had to pay to get my drivers license back.
For those of you thinking this is a 3.4 star hotel by the reviews..... its not. Roaches everywhere. Hair on the pillow cases. No toilet paper in the restroom. Horrid humid smell. And a loud neighbor who was smoking weed outside all night. Spend the extra ten dollars and sleep anywhere but here.
Place was a bit tricky to find but arrived. The only things we didnt like was 1) window blinds were still open. Easy view from outside peeping toms. 2) not enough security cameras outside.
This motel is the worst motel I ever stay in my life. Shower look like someone just took shower in it, odors and body hair all over the shower. Mattress has blood stain everywhere. Tv and microwave not working.
This is not the oyo hotel they changed the name 2 weeks ago and apparently haven’t bothered to chance any info, I booked a 1 night stay through hotels.com and I called the front desk to let them know we were running 10-15 minutes and was told they are no longer the oyo hotel (still shows up like that on google ) and they don’t have my reservation.
I didnt stay Sturgis establishment I was just visiting a friend who was down for the week but from my point of view it was clean and well lit at night time both stair cases and door ways and thats a big plus
Had an unexpected trip stopped by to check the prices and the gentleman Waka gave me a great deal and he also said the we’re starting work in the néw year I will be back for that for sure
The room was dirty there was crumbs of what looked like fried chicken skins and chips on the floor the room smells musty like it hasnt been cleaned in a very long time the toilet is loose theres a few of the light bulbs that dont work and on top of that the sheet on the bed has blood on it and the bathtub has mildew growth all over the bottom and between the towels this is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at and the manager at the front desk does not even care went to ask to switch rooms and said to complain and to leave WORST PLACE EVER TO STAY DONT WASTE UR MONEY AT THIS HOTEL

The man at the reception did not respect my reservation made through Expedia and wanted me to cancel through Expedia and ask for a refund and that he would be paid directly to him. He was rude and unprofessional and made no attempt to help. He left us without a room on a Saturday at 8 pm. I would never return to that place even by mistake.
I made a reservation through Despegar (Travelscape LLC) and when I arrived they told me that it did not exist and that they no longer worked with that booker. Therefore, I was left without a hotel and without the money I had already paid for that night. In addition, it was undergoing renovations and it did not look like a nice atmosphere.
Horrible, the owner an inconsiderate and rude person, the rooms stinking of cigarettes and dirty, the TV did not work, the door did not close properly, in general a disaster. I still cant understand how the OYO hotel franchise has a place like this on its promotion pages and accepts the owners having these abandoned places, all they want is to get the money from it, without investing and having everything up to date for a better stay of the guests.
Disappointed in this hotel, even the bedding smells bad, it seems that this room has been abandoned, everything is full of dust and the service is not pleasant, I would never return even if it were just passing through.
