JR is a great massage therapist! He’s very considerate and careful, has a wide knowledge of the body, and is passionate about his work. The spa venue is very relaxing, and I usually find parking nearby pretty easily.

It has been 10+ years since my last facial and what a comeback today was! The owner took my call and set me up quickly and thoroughly with my therapist. My experience was SPLENDID from the booking until the end of my appointment. The space is beautiful; my treatment was incredibly relaxing - I dozed off several times-and my skin feels and looks great. The gentle facial massage , shoulder and arm massage left me in a more relaxed state than I’ve felt in a while. This place is a gem in a beautiful part of town. Thank you!!!!

I cannot recommend JR more! He approaches massage with such an educated whole body approach that really works. He’ll do stretches, or release tension behind my arms that I didn’t realize was causing my neck pain - it’s like seeing a chiropractor without any risk. I always feel incredibly relaxed AND have my issues resolved after seeing him! And he’s super kind and personable - I sometimes struggle to voice my preferences for pressure during massages (recovering people-pleasure here!) and he is excellent at checking in, as well as super responsive if something changes throughout.In-symmetry itself is also super easy to book (and reschedule, because working parent life is real), and the space is lovely. I’ve been coming here for years! The owner has always been super responsive if there are issues, like a last minute illness or scheduling miscommunication.Parking can be tough, but there’s a bike loop right out front. And sometimes I stroll over to Tartine Manufactory afterwards for a post-massage bliss lunch.

Review of MASON ENGLINGI have been a massage therapist for 18 years. Now specializing in medical rehabilitation massage and a therapist for the San Francisco Ballet. Having said all that I know what Im talking about when it comes to Bodywork and am very particular who I go to. Today, I received a massage from Mason Engling. He is a very skilled therapist great manual skill. Great understanding of Anatomy and Physiology and how to apply the manual skills necessary to get the best therapeutic result. With an intuitive understanding of depth and pressure. Most importantly he listened during the intake and totally addressed what I requested. I would highly recommend him.

I had THE most incredible facial with Michelle yesterday! Ive had a lot of facials but she is absolutely one of the best ever. She has such great hands and has clearly studied so many massage techniques! And she knows soooo much about skin care products--she really helped me navigate the world of retinol and hyaluronic acid and all the trendy things were supposedly supposed to be putting on our face. Im already looking forward to my next facial, it was such a wonderful experience!

Such an amazing experience, I got a facial with Kelly and it was so relaxing, my skin felt refreshed, I felt ten years younger, I cannot recommend enough. Kelly especially was such a pleasure to work with, made me feel very comfortable and did an amazing professional job. Will absolutely be returning.

Update: Candace went above and beyond to make sure I had an outstanding experience at In-Symmetry. I was rebooked with JR who gave me a fabulous message and the facial from Michelle was out of this world! Highly recommend!I had a very unique experience today while getting a massage. Gayle was my therapist and while they were highly professional they did not listen to my concerns to lower the pressure of the massage. I tried to bear through it at first but after a while the cumulative deep pressure mixed with some bad sports injuries I couldn’t take the pain anymore. I left in tears and not relaxed. Gayle mentioned that a lot of their clients cry during massages. I just hope no one has the experience I did.

Update - Had the most amazing facial massage yesterday at In-Symmetry Spa (San Francisco Mission). Their new esthetician partner Studio Soothe is so unique, Ive never had a facial that focused on massage before, was so cool to get an expert like Minette to do gua sha and other massage techniques to my face, head, neck, and shoulders. I was so relaxed after I immediately went to sleep so peacefully. This is such a perfect addition to my fave results-driven massage spa, now I can get facials and massages in one convenient place!In-Symmetry is a gem of a spa in the mission. It’s easy to book appointments for facials/waxing, as well as their massages. The staff is super open to tailoring massages to fit your needs, from just wanting to relax and work out tension, to actual injury recovery. Janella, Jimmie, and JR are so knowledgeable and educate me when I have targeted pain. Candace, the owner, is a TMJ/jaw pain miracle worker, and always has helpful stretching advice. highly recommend checking out their menu to fit your relaxation needs.

I recently had an incredible massage session with Sara. The therapist’s skilled hands melted away all tension, leaving me feeling rejuvenated and completely relaxed. The ambiance was soothing, and the overall experience was truly exceptional. Highly recommended!

Had the most incredible gua sha facial with Kelly. I have rosacea and am prone to redness, but incredibly, ever since the facial Ive had the most even, smoothest skin. Cannot wait to go back when I visit SF again.

I got a deep tissue massage from Emily. She was excellent. She used exactly the right amount of pressure, and found all my tender spots. I had a broken arm, and Emily worked around the injured areas and provided some extra pillows so l could adjust my position and lie down comfortably.The space was clean and welcoming. The heated table was a really nice touch and I basically just melted into it.Online booking was easy. There was plenty of availability, and the appointment reminders are convenient. I am so happy I came in. I feel at ease in my body, almost floaty, and Ill definitely be back.

Janella is an amazing massage therapist and I was a new woman after 90 minutes with her! Massages are always great here but had a waxing appt with Meghan for the first time and it was the most gentle service I have ever received! I have super sensitive skin and I barely felt a thing. Amazing. 100% will be back.

Today I had an incredible facial at In-Symmetry with Irina: the 75 minute Soothe Signature Facial. Irina explained each step of the process and made it such an incredibly relaxing experience. There are just so many wonderful parts to this luxurious facial, the double cleanse, enzyme peel, soothing masques and the fabulous face/neck/shoulder/arm massage!! I don’t know any other way to say it - I felt completely transported. My skin is looking so bright, clear and glowy. I really enjoyed it and I feel like I just poured so much love into my skin. Ill be back! Thank you to Irina!!!

A relaxing oasis in the heart of Mission Creek neighborhood. The treatment rooms have been recently refreshed and provide tranquil vibes. I had a wonderful facial from Irina that left me feeling soothed and centered all day. Highly recommended!

I am so happy to have found this AMAZING place! I went in for a wax, a Manzillian, and for some context, it had been a good long while. Candace helped get me booked with Meg(h?)an and when I tell you that this was the best wax I have ever had, I mean it. As a trans man, it is very difficult to find a place to go for a wax where people are informed and professional about folx with different bodies. It has been an anxiety ridden thing for me until today. I cannot recommend this place enough for those of you out there who may feel uneasy about your bits being out in front of a person with hot wax. This place is trans, BIPOC, and Alphabet Mafia friendly and incredibly welcoming. I have already booked my next appointment.

Had a facial with Arina. It was wonderful and she was great! I fell asleep a couple of times it was so relaxing. My skin looks and feels fabulous!

One of the best massages of my life. Got the deep tissue with hot stones massage with Dustin. Absolutely fantastic, great tempo and pressure and even finished up the visit with some tips on relieving knots and sore spots before my next visit. Will definitely be back soon!
