I take a 1 star review seriously, but after having given them a year and a half and a dozen opportunities to make a wrong situation right I am convinced they should not be in business at all. A friend bought me a gift card almost 2 years ago, and for the last year and a half I have been trying to determine why they have no record of the $75 that was purchased and put on the gift card.First, I tried to make an appointment online - they have no online scheduling system which is inexcusable for a modern business. So I called - multiple times and got very shoddy phone service and very limited and inconvenient options for massage. Their phone agents were very distracted and unhelpful. Finally, I went into the business in person, thinking I could just look at their calendar face to face and book an appointment. I offer up my gift card to pre-pay for the service, and they tell me they have no record of the gift card purchase. None. I spend nearly 30 minutes in the lobby while two women of questionable experience half-heartedly look through their digital system as well as a paper gift card tracking system. They are unable to find any record of the gift card purchase. I call my friend, and she finds it on her statement, tells me the amount and date, which I relay to them. They take notes, and tell me that only the manager has access to a certain portion of the records, and that theyll take my name and number and have her call me.Several months go by, and Ive all but forgotten that I was supposed to have received a call. So I call again. I get a wonderful young woman on the phone (whose name I believe was Senya), who was very polite and well-meaning, who gave me the contact info for the Managing Partner, Jenna Bahlenhorst. I proceed to play phone and email tag with Jenna, sending her the gift card info and a picture of the gift card and a very narrow time window of the purchase (I knew within a 2 week period of when it was purchased). Jenna asked me when the other gift card recipient (my business partner) redeemed his card, which I did not know and said without a proof of purchase she had no way to track it. I told her that I had already bothered the gift card giver several times and would not bother her myself again, since it had been in vain and they had lost the information and it has now become a major bother for both of us to continue trying to track this information down. I offered her the purchasers contact information so she could get it directly including any relevant credit card information, date, purchase amount, etc. At this point, this has far exceeded my willingness to track down a gift card for $75, its more for the principle of resolving the situation.I sent Jenna Bahlenhorst 2 additional follow up emails over the last month, and received no response. She never contacted the gift card purchaser, whose name and phone and email address I provided her. At this point, I have no interest in patronizing Massage Envy or redeeming the gift card at all. This is definitely top 3 worst experiences with any business anywhere, ever. Should you decide to try to resolve this, you can contact her to retrieve it and reach out to me directly. Im not going to fill out another form on your website to engage with the business further. I have spent several hours already on emails, phone calls, and in-person visits to no avail.

The therapists are wonderful, however the customer service of the reception staff is possibly the worst I have ever encountered. They have forgotten to check me in and left me waiting in the tranquility room for 45 min, been so behind schedule that my massage was cut short, failed to schedule breaks for the therapists so they are too exhausted to perform well, have deleted my account and all my credits and claimed I didnt have an account, forgotten to tell me they rescheduled me with a completely different therapist, and been extremely rude. The only situation they rectified was the deletion of my credits, after I insisted they find my deleted account. Im not usually a complainer, but they have tested my patience to the limit. Do not get suckered into becoming a member!

I come here bi-weekly and absolutely love this place! The staff is super nice and professional, and Rachel is the best massage therapist Ive ever had (and I had a few). Shes thorough, professional, and knows about muscles Ive never even heard of. Highly recommend her and this place.

I had the most relaxing, wonderful massage with Jessica. I was in a blissed out state and actually fell asleep. She was also super friendly and we talked about some things we had in common for the first couple minutes, then she just let me close my eyes and enjoy. I really recommend her!! She’s awesome!

Massage places are deeply personal when it comes to deciding if its for you or not. The good thing about massage envy is that you can shop around for different massage therapists without having to compare prices and find new buildings every time you change your mind on what pressure you want. Plus the relatively inexpensive monthly payment makes it worth at least trying.

They have a great staff and knowledgeable massage therapists. There is a big difference between a masseur and a massage therapist. Robert gives a therapy level massage with range of motion stretches. The front desk staff is very friendly and love to talk with you while you wait.

I had been a regular for over a year. The massages have regularly started late by about 10 minutes but the masseuses were very conciliatory. However, today I waited for 30 minutes past my appointment time and there was no sign of my massage starting anytime soon. The staff never talked to me about rescheduling and I only got updates when I went to ask at the desk.

I called about emailed the manager today regarding my massage and facial credits worth over $100. There’s no way any company would act in this manner. I am waiting for a resolution from this location. I will be following up on how this issue was resolved. Hopefully a representative gets back to me ASAP.

Last week, i saw Renee for my facial and she was excellent! She knew exactly what she was doing. It was relaxing but she educated me during the facial, i could tell she wants my skin to improve. She recommended PCA home care and its amazing. My face feels nice and moisturized. I am will go see her again

My experience with customer service at Massage Envy in Ballard has been the worst experience thus far. I have tried to get a manager to call me back about my account 3 times now and they never call me back. In January they told me I had two months left on my contract and could cancel my account March 1st. It is March 6th and I finally got ahold of the manger and she just let me know that I have 60 days left on my account and cannot cancel it until end of April. I have NEVER had this many people at the same organization give me different answers and yet the they get mad at my cause I am frustrated with them. This is by far the worst customer service I have had and they are a scam. They do not upfront tell you that you are hooked into a year long agreement and then it is almost impossible to get your account closed. Never EVER signing up there again and do not recommend it to anyone.

This location had a parking lot under the building. Its location is slightly hidden by the five guys burgers, but easily found. So far, this is my favorite place with the most message therapists who are strong. My favorites are Robyn and Celeste, who can both destroy your muscles in a good way!,

Therapist used too much pressure. Afterwards I came home and found bruises on my arm. Now Im in pain, I went to get massage to relieve pain but instead came home with more.... They were also very aggressive about selling me a membership also. I learned my lesson, never going back. If I were you Id look for some place else.edit: I responded to the message from the owner through their online portal as directed but never got a response.

This place is horrible. They scheduled me an appointment at 5 pm. I leave my office early, take an uberX, reach there at 5 only to find out the therapist is not available. I was told to wait until 6. They did not offer me any compensation for their f*** up........Very frustratingThe therapists are also not that good. I go to Banya 5 instead. They are so much better.
