They have a very strict policy for showing up late and no show. For a locally owned company they dont have any empathy for an honest mistake. I had it in my personal calendar 30 minutes different from the appointment. I am a working mom with four young kids and dont get time to myself much. I was informed I had to pay for the session but could come back later to pay again for another. $260 for a facial. No thank you. So instead of the $130 for a 60 min, I paid that for a 25 min session. Didnt get to relax at all and just felt sad that this had to be my experience. I was willing to pay and come back later but not willing to pay twice for making a mistake. They really would not work with me at all and was rude about it.Just want others to know because as a busy working woman and mother, I need flexibility and this business doesnt offer you that. I would have never booked if I knew how not understanding they are and still hours later upset about this whole experience.

I had the same experience as Jen! They are awful! I had to book a month out for a service, when I talked to the scheduler on the phone I said now I will have time to cancel my membership at that appointment! The girl said yes plenty of time to talk with a manager and I will make note of that. I wanted to cancel my membership well in advance, and let them know that! It was so hard to get in and always canceling on me and scheduling 2x with a therapist I said I didn’t want. It’s their mistake that they forgot to take a monthly payment and they charged my card and didn’t authorize it. They would not reverse the monthly fee saying it was past the 10 days I could, which was wrong!! I still have service I didn’t use and I got over charged and they wouldn’t do anything! I had to call my bank and dispute charge that is still in the process! DO NOT EVER get a membership here very disorganized and can never get scheduled and will over charge you!

I am beyond disappointed in the lacking customer service and the handling of contracts at this Massage Envy location. No less than 3 times were there issues with my account on their end. The final issue resulted in untrained staff making a mistake behind the counter, which then led to me having to pay for her error out of my own pocket. Management at two levels refused to take ownership by covering the cost of the issue even after admitting it was their staffs error. They refused to pay for their mistake and make it right, forcing me to pay for it because my card was still on file on my account with them. I am a very loyal customer and would recommend if you seek service, honesty, and clarity to go elsewhere.

First of all - I was lied to about when my contract was up. After continuing for 6 more months (honoring the contract I thought I had), I was told it had ended 6 months earlier & was being charged month to month. I went in to sign a cancellation form. I was charged again for the next month. They said they had lost my cancellation form. I went into to sign another one. I was charged once again. Then again. Then again. Annnnd once more. I attempted to contact the owner and was told by the manager of the East side location (Olivia) that I could try to find the owners contact info but that I would be redirected to her. Each time I was redirected back to her, she was incredibly smug. She was rude and unnecessarily unkind to me despite consistently making unauthorized charges to my debit account. Each time this occured, I had to wait days for the refund to hit. This happened again & again and after finally contacting a former employee for them, I had the owners number (Mike.) When I contacted him, he was also incredibly rude and defensive about Olivia, despite everything. He called me back a day or two later to apologize. He said he could give me $100 for my troubles or a spa day. I had never had an issue with services rendered - just consistently being treated terribly, as well as having my checking account constantly being a playground for their issues. I took the $100 and he sent me a copy of his self-help book.His self-help book. *EYE ROLL*Im not the kind of person to take to the internet for a negative review - but I just want people to be aware. Im actually probably understating the stress & exhaustion this caused. Having your money being taken without permission is terrible.

Don’t use Massage Envy. especially not their subscription plan. I asked them to cancel my plan, Ive asked them to freeze it. They just hang up on me every time they called for money and I request the freeze/cancellation. They used an old card in their system and charged the amount anyway three times. There are much better local people, that will respect you and your wishes.

They are an unethical corporation who will hang up on you and refuse to allow you to cancel your subscription after challenges with scheduling. When you go in to cancel after they finally tell you they require the notification in writing they will make up false allegations to police officers stating you threw papers and cussed at employees (which is untrue) to prevent you from being able to be persistent about obtaining a refund on the unused hours. Please do yourself a favor and go with someone local who actually cares about their clients and isn’t just in it for the money and corporate greed. If you have any problems, you can’t escalate up the corporate chain because they are a “franchise,” and not associated with corporate massage envy. SAVE YOUR MONEY! SUPPORT LOCAL BUSINESSES!

I got three massages as a gift and was told that they expire at the end of March, so I call to schedule and they say my massages expired March 11 and theres nothing they can do! Not only that, when I scheduled my first massage they kept asking for a credit card even though it was paid for, and they didnt seem to understand that they have already been paid! After a long conversation with a manager they finally agree that its ridiculous to require a credit card for a massage thats already paid for. My sister got the same gift and when she scheduled her massage she had to go through the whole process again. Their customer relations are absolutely horrible and I will never be doing any business with them again in the future, unless I somehow decide I want one massage for the price of three.

I went there to get a gift card for my girlfriend. I felt weird in this place. The two customers before me were upset about something about their membership. I tried not to listen. My girlfriend got her massage. She says it was a weird experience too. She says the guy giving her the massage was fixated on getting her to relax her tounge... really? Just work out the knots already and quit being creepy.. It was ridiculously expensive too. I guess its more for the New Age holistic types or something. I wasnt impressed nor envious.

Very poor management! Due to COVID-19 they closed down and told me that I will stay on staff and they would contact me when they are opening up again and let me know the schedule. I tried numerous times to get ahold of somebody to see when they will be opening again. I never got a response. After I had heard they were open I called in to see what the deal was. After they wouldnt take my calls on my personal cell phone I used another persons cell phone to call they answered. They stated that due to my pregnancy and me being high risk that they would not be putting me on the schedule anymore. I contacted corporate to let them know that they failed to contact me before they opened to let me know. I still havent received any unemployment and could have been looking for a job as I am pregnant and really need the income. I was than contacted by Massage Envy EAST and they told me that due to a hostile comment that they are accusing me of making and said they have 2 witnesses that they are terminating me. They never stated when or what the comment was. VERY unprofessional and POOR management im very disappointed.

I had a lovely time with my granddaughter and baby girl. The lady who did my feet kristy was so kind and got my cuticles and ingrown nail without it hurting , usually they hurt, but she didn’t. It felt like I was walking on marshmallows after. We will be coming back again.

Cancelled my membership in time for it to not deduct this month because I could no longer afford it, unfortunately massage envy took the liberty of deducting the full membership amount out of my account without my authorization or permission, I have paperwork stating that it was to be canceled, and no funds were to be deducted any longer, I called and was told it would be reversed right away, now as I call back again I learned that it will take 5 to 10 business days for the money to go into my account, this is a really hard situation for me. I did everything that I was supposed to do to cancel this account, I did it and they still took money from me even though I don’t have the membership, really disappointed, and I won’t be going back once I do have the money again to continue.

I like that I can get in on a Sunday. I did the rapid tension session along with the stretch with Hadassah. She is so personable & made me feel comfortable right from the start. Anyone going to the East side location should ask for her

Canceling is a pain. Even after calling, signing paperwork, and email they continue to try to charge stating they never received form. Now going on for 4th month in a row to cancel and attempt to get it corrected. Dont understand why it has to be so hard.
