Swaxx Spokane

I have never been here before, but have heard really bad things about it. Last night was my first time there for the Wooli concert, and I didnt have a single issue.Bouncers and other entrance staff were fairly friendly, while effective at their job. Inside was fairly nice, and the bar staff was ok. And, yes, I was able to order water.Over all, I had a nice first experience.

Pretty bad. We were told a show started at 8 when it actually started at 10. They said they would open the doors at 9 but they left us in the freezing cold and wind until 9:45.We had to sit through 2 hours of the shittiest dubstep/electronic music I have ever heard. Everyone just sat there looking bored or pissed until the performer we were waiting for (Crywolf) came onstage. He put on a great show, but I will never go back here again.

Loved Swaxx! Amazing room, amazing employees. Played here in the summer, only thing I had a hard time with was the door guy, but he was doing his job. If your coming here to party, and have a good evening, I suggest you do it. Myself as a performer, had a great time. VIP, our own area, ect. Was worth the drive.

If I could give a review with negative stars I would. I paid $100 for four tickets to B.o.B. months ago, before I knew the venue. Well, this was a big mistake. Swaxx is dirty and unprofessional.Where do I start? First off, my tickets clearly state that the doors opened at 7pm (show starts at 8). Since I had heard that seating could be an issue (and I am not interested in standing for hours- maybe when I was 17- but not as an adult) we made sure to arrive a few minutes prior to 7. DOORS OPENED AN HOUR LATE! Employees very rudely came out twice to tell people waiting to move away from the door.I then saw them turn some kids away that had tickets because they require the ID of the person who purchased the tickets to let you in the door. These kids were obviously high school age and were saying that there mom bought the tickets for them (sounds pretty reasonable). Still, they were turned away. Swaxx does not care about paying customers apparently.Finally (after dealing with the rude and abrasive staff and showing my ID several times) we were in. Then the wait began again.The music was terrible. The rappers were lip syncing (poorly). It was very obviously a recording.Next Ill touch on our drinks. I had three shots. Each time my shot seemed to get a little smaller. It started out okay. $6 for a decent size shot, and served in an actual shot glass. By the time I ordered my second they served us shots in plastic cups. There was no measuring involved, he eyeballed it. My third drink was also in a plastic cup, and was quite a bit smaller. (And I took a photo of this shot). Ill also mention that my friend stepped on a tack that was left on Swaxxs floor. (I also took a photo of this).Moving on- B.o.B. was no where to be seen. One of the performers informed the crowd that B.o.B. might be coming. Pretty scandalous since that is who I paid to to see.Swaxx also doesnt allow re-entry! Once youre in, youre stuck. (They have a caged in smokers area, but staff at the door that wont allow you back in). However, they dont serve food and you cant order water.This was an incredibly disappointing and frustrating experience. I have two children (Ill mention my group was four people. My boyfriend, 31, myself, 25, best friend, 24, and my boyfriends brother, 20) and havent been to a concert in years. We took time off work to be out late, and got babysitters (which I never do). I was so excited to go out and have a good time, but it was awful. Never again will I go to Swaxx. $100 wasted.

Worst bar Ive ever been to! Couldnt leave once you entered, (after getting patted down for weapons!) The drinks were over priced and not good, the DD had to pay for soda, there was very little seating, the atmosphere was dismal, (like being in a warehouse) and the promoters for the bands were unorganized. Ill never go back!

Only one bartender and no staff bartender was the DJ the bartender and the whole staff another lady was running back and forth but also drinking and the bouncers were coming in and out drinking and we were the only customers and it says they close at 2 but they closed down the bar at 10pm I was very ashamed because I came to this club back in the day and it was awesome

Nice venue, great bouncers but the entrance staff is awful. Overall poorly run

I want tickets to mushroomhead on the 3rd but no one can answer a damn phone wow the knit will do that

Trashiest place i have ever seen. Go here if your wish is to be sexually assaulted by diseased drug addicts .

Safest club in town. Also only one thats 18 and up.

Very poorly managed very unorganized made us stand in 5 degree weather for a half hour cuz doors didnt open on time
