The masseuse that I had didnt have a particularly good technique. But the main reason for the low score is lack of clear communication and being rushed. While its fair that you want to keep on schedule, the time was cut short due to lack of staff, so the moment the masage was done, I was rushed out the door to get to the next customer who was already waiting in a different room. The communication was very lacking, not necessarily from lack of English, although thats just easily fixed with a translator. But its bad when the masseuse didnt want to elaborate further with questions you try to ask.If you come here, you are settling for mediocre massage and extremely stiff environment. Only plus side was the masseuse was attractive.
Please believe the recent reviews. When I walked in, I should have known to just walk back out but tried to give it a chance anyway. It smells so weird inside and has a really strange energy! Two gals came up front but neither of them really spoke any English. I asked for a price list and it was literally written on a dirty white board $60 for an hour and $40 for 30 minutes. That’s it.One of the ladies had on a cheetah print lingerie dress and the other had on something similar. She walked me to the back to the table and I laid down for 2 minutes. She came back and said I needed to pay first from Google translate. I grabbed my jacket and purse and got out of there. Reaaaaaallly weird place and I think they’re doing some shady things here.
The ownership of Massage Oasis has changed as of early April, 2018. The new owner has changed the look of the location, putting placards up on the front windows that totally block views from the outside, and has added a rather tacky red neon open sign. The new owner & all employees speak little to no English, so communicating with them is difficult to virtually impossible. The worst issue that I experienced is the new owners unwillingness to honor any gift cards and prepaid massages from the prior owner. I visited the location several times last week, and tried my best to convey that I had over $200 in massages paid for, even showing her the cc receipt. She has no interest at all in honoring the prepaid massages, and just kept telling me that she would give me a discount. I was able to reach the prior owner, who told me that she has tried to encourage the new owner to honor these to take care of her large client list & build goodwill, but to no avail. While I feel the prior owner should care about who she sold her business to, it is no longer her problem, and I see no resolution for this matter coming. The new Massage Oasis is nowhere close to what it was before, with none of the prior therapists retained by the new owner, a new & not so good feel to the place, and worst of all, the new owners (Linda is the only name I got) total disinterest in taking care of past clients. I cannot recommend Massage Oasis at all, and to new and more so to former clients of this former very nice massage business, I recommend not going there.
I received a gift certificate for mothers day and went in for my massage the other day. The place is pretty enough, great location but it reeks of cigarette smoke! Theres a bar next door so maybe it drifts in from there. Surely the owner would never allow smoking in the spa! eek! The therapist was great. She used some techniques Id never experienced before and she used a nice warm towel to wipe off all the greasy massage cream when she was finished! Very nice. I cant get past the cigarette smoke though. Sadly, I wont be back.
Massage Oasis recently changed owners. Had been going here for 10+ years. Very upset as I had hundreds of dollars in gift cards that are no longer valid. Dulce was my favorite masseuse, was told no one from the past is still there. Lady at the front desk supposedly also gives massages and was the only person working. Very disappointed to learn the news this way!!
This is the best comfortable place Ive been to and the back massage is so relaxing. The environment is clean and the masseuses are very friendly. I liked it very much and I will come back next time.
Update: the ownership has changed and the new owners won’t honor gift cards or packages from the previous owner. They speak little English and answer the phone by saying “hey.” Very unprofessional which is sad as the previous owner was such a professional and a pleasure to work with. Seeking new massage place and recommending that no one go to the new owners.
Great staff, comfortable massage suites. Provides you with a wide variety of options and services to complement your relaxation experience.
Massage oasis is one of the best place to receive a Therapeutic massage. I feel alive and renewed after each of my massages. The environment is cool. The therapist are experienced.
