Wow! La Vida offers a very comfortable and calm environment. The receptionists are very welcoming and accommodating -- from greeting to booking appointments, setting up my easy pay membership discounts and providing products and gift cards. My esthetician Melissa is delightful. She always cheerfully greets me by name with her wonderful smile and sweet voice. She ensures that I am comfortable and unrushed. I feel so refreshed after her soothing treatments, and my skin tone and texture definitely are showing signs of improvement. I look forward to my monthly pampering! Thank you, La Vida and Melissa.

LaVida was such a wonderful experience from beginning to end. From the front desk to the calm and inviting nature in the waiting area. I got very lucky and booked a 1PM with Dean for a 60min massage. And let me tell you.... it was nothing short of amazing. Very respectful, personable and professional. He focused on the areas that needed more work. I left feeling so calm and like a brand new person. As for Dean, he is an absolute guru when it comes to massage therapy and the information he gives during the session is very helpful. 10/10! Due to my amazing experience, I decided to purchase a membership right away. Looking forward to my next appointment!

I went to La Vida for a facial today. It was the best facial I have ever had ! Melissa was my esthetician. She was phenomenal. Melissa is so sweet, very attentive, knowledgeable and kind. I finally found an excellent esthetician =)

First time back in a while. Iris was excellent! She did a complete 60 minutes. My only suggestion is the waiting area should be a quiet free zone for clients waiting. Looking forward to my next massage.

Dark and relaxing music, heated bed. Front desk staff are always nice and willing to help or listen to any concerns. I’m very sensitive to energy of people so masseuse has to have good energy and no bad feelings.I tried couple other female masseuses and they gave off not nice vibes. I had to remind them of putting more pressure, you could tell they didn’t like me, were not putting in much effort, or just not made for that job..

My go-to for gifts. Teachers, relatives, you name it! Everyone loves a gift-card from La Vida. I never encountered one person unhappy with their service! Been a client here for years.

My girlfriend and I recently decided to treat ourselves to a couples massage, but unfortunately, it turned out to be the worst experience of our lives. We paid a whopping $300 for what was supposed to be a relaxing and rejuvenating session, but it was anything but that.Firstly, one of the masseuses had a terrible case of the sniffles. Not only was it distracting, but it was also extremely unprofessional. She kept clearing her throat right above my face, making it impossible to relax and enjoy the massage.To make matters worse, the masseuse assigned to my girlfriend completely wrecked her back and neck. Instead of providing relief, the massage left her in excruciating pain that shes been suffering with ever since. Its truly disheartening to think that a simple spa treatment could cause such harm.Considering the exorbitant price we paid and the unprofessionalism displayed by the staff, I cannot in good conscience support this business any longer. Its disappointing to have such high expectations shattered by such a terrible experience.I strongly advise against visiting this establishment for any kind of massage or spa treatment. Save your hard-earned money and find a reputable place that values their customers well-being and provides the quality service they promise. Trust me, youll thank yourself later.P.S. The masseuse put a pound of oil on our bodies, and they were both falling asleep as they were massaging us.

Dean is an excellent massage therapist. He is the reason I come to this spa. Meghan is amazing in handling different cituations that come up, very friendly and helpful front desk receptionist, and it is super important. Love owners son, he is always very helpful, friendly, and patient. I would recommend the spa owners to get a better quality line of products for facials and new facial towels. It is unacceptable. That is why I am giving 4 stars. You guys can benefit from a variety of choices and a better quality line that smells good and natural instead of cheap chemicals. Melissa is very sweet, and Arcadia has a good touch and is very present. Both are good for facials. Melisa brought her own products that are a better quality and smelled nice, which saved the day.

Amazing amazing amazing! I have had many massages in my life thus far, but I have to say, this place has one of the most amazing masseuses. My husband and I went here for a valentines day present and at first I was a bit skeptical. It is not a large place, but it was very clean and pleasant. Staff is really nice and the massage was just 10 out of 10 for both me and my husband. We had Iris and Arcadia and they were both so great with the pressure points and the attention to our muscles. Highly recommend if you want a VERY good massage.

Although the membership is tempting to want to get, booking and paying per appt is not an issue for me what so ever. Marissa (I believe this was the masseuses name) did an amazing job, she truly put in work on my back! The first time I came here was when I heard about the 1st time promo and since its close to home, I decided to check it out. I needed a place to loosen the knot I have on my shoulders. The special was $69 for 1 hr and when you join their membership its $59 plus tax per month. I enjoyed my massage very much and decided to join the membership. The front staff was not pushy in asking me to join. I like my masseuse and figured I should keep a routine. Happy to have found La Vida Massage.

I have been here for massages and a facial. I was not disappointed. My massage with Dean is always just what the doctor ordered and my first time facial experience with Melissa was excellent. The atmosphere from beginning to end is incredible. I have the membership and it is well worth signing up for!

The entire service was amazing and relaxing. I was surprised to learn that such a great spa has been so close to come and I didn’t know until now. I will without a doubt be back.

The place has a very good feel about it. Everyone who works here is very friendly. If you book a massage online they are very prompt with getting back to you to confirm. Every massage technician I had was outstanding.

I have been going to this location for awhile now, and never had any problems. It is always clean, the people are always friendly, and the massages are always amazing! I have tried multiple technicians and love them all! For deep pressure Laura and Oksana are magical, and for a bit lighter with a tender touch Sam and Lucy are my favorites! I am so glad that the staff is always helpful and good to us!

I really liked this place for the monthly membership until today when I had to cancel my account after getting charged $52 for a system error. I got charged for an appointment I canceled online because it did not reflect that in their system. Apparently on their end they had me under two accounts because it made me an account when online and and account in person the first time I was there and enrolled into the monthly program. I have only ever used the online system to book my appointments so I did not understand why I had two accounts in the first place. Anyways, normally the day before an appointment you get a text message that asks you to confirm your appointment. For all my other appointments I have received this text massage. For the appointment I canceled online the same day I made an appointment I obviously did not receive a text to confirm. When they called me to tell me I missed an appointment and will be charged they told me someone tried to call me yesterday to confirm the appointment and did not get through so they automatically confirmed it. Again, all other true appointments texted me before for confirmation why am I all of a sudden getting calls to confirm? So in the end I got charged for an appointment that I canceled a week prior that didn’t go through on their end yet I didn’t get the normal confining text. Moral of the story if you book anything online and cancel it call them to confirm because their online system does not work for canceling only booking. The cherry on top was the man who called about the missed appointment he was very rude and basically said this happens all the time and everyone is always upset but it’s policy and I’m getting charged regardless. No compassion or understanding just matter of fact. I understand the policy but with customer service it should be presented differently and not a well it’s being charged regardless and I don’t care that you’re upset that our online system doesn’t work. I’m upset about the situation and upset that I can no longer trust them and have to find a new massage place.

I’ve been going here for a while now. Really nice and clean place. I usually go to Dean because of his strength and ability to really dig in deep and get all my knots out. Yet he was off the other day and I desperately needed a massage as I woke up with crazy pain in my thoracic area of my back.I took a risk and went with someone else and it didn’t pay off. She was not good at all, not even close. She also shorted me by 7 minutes and complained at the end that massaging me hurt her hands. Ummm not sorry at all dude, its your job.However, after voicing my displeasure afterwards at the front desk, they displayed stellar customer service by giving me the lower rate. It’s rare to find great service like this these days and people who stand by their product/service. That alone will keep me coming back so well done La Vida!

Wonderful first experience!! Everything was perfect. The Massage Therapist Jessica did a wonderful job. I also had a Facial and Microdermabrasion by Melissa. Melissa was very knowledgeable and informative. Darren at the front desk is the owner and this is family operated spa. Very friendly and helpful! I was so happy with the services and results, that I joined the monthly program. My mother also had a facial and massage and loved it! My sister told me (without knowing about my facial) how great my skin looked when she saw me the following day. Thank you LaVida!

I recently went to La Vida for a first time couples massage, I believe it only came out to $120 and some change as opposed to $180! The place looked extremely clean and the quiet room was extremely peaceful. Jessica worked her magic on me, was very courteous the entire time. I’m still dreaming about the massage, I will definitely be going back next month and purchasing a membership. My boyfriends experience with Laura was just as good. Really worked the kinks from his neck. Applied a more firmer pressure for him but he said he felt like a new person walking out of there. Thank you so much for making his birthday so special La Vida!

I was initially hesitant on massage therapy but gave it a try. It turned out to be one of the best investments Ive made for my body.During my first visit, the front desk was happy to answer any questions and the process was straightforward. The rooms turned out to be very comforting, spacious, and the lighting/music added to the experience.For the massage itself, my back/neck/shoulder muscles benefitted the most. You will really feel the difference as pressure is applied. You can also ask the front desk for suggestions based off of pressure and etc.Its even extra beneficial if you engage in sports or bodybuilding, your muscles will generally carry tension and the therapists can release this.Highly recommend this place!

I don’t quite remember his name but he was probably the best massage I’ve ever had. I am really upset to be moving off of Staten Island mainly because I probably won’t be massaged by him again. This place was very clean and I felt very safe and comfortable. I will make sure to let all of my friends here know about it.

I had to give this place 1 star because it wouldn’t allow me to give zero stars!!!I am a new mom waiting to get a massage has been on my mind for a while to go and relax. Instead it was a complete nightmare.My massage was at 3 and I arrive there and they start putting a pound of oil on me which was fine I said okay I’ll wash it off. But then as she was massaging my hands she fell asleep!!!! How does a professional masseuse fall asleep. I had to pick my head up 6 times to look. This was a half out into my massage I walked out and left.Girl I’m the front asked me what was wrong and I said I half about 6 pounds of oil on me and she said you know when they massage they do put oil on if this was my first time ! Disgusted is not the word. Never again!!!

There is no place on SI Id rather get a massage. I was a customer of Massage Envy before. What a difference!!!!! I switched about 4 years ago and never looked back. Owner is ALWAYS there and super accommodating on moving, cancelling ,extending. Lavada got my membership for life!

LaVida massage was recommended by a friend. It’s more than 10 miles from my house, but worth the time it takes to get there. Great staff too. They are all professional & caring. 10 star place! Sorry 5 just isn’t enough. They are so accommodating. I have a monthly rollover package.

The salon hosts several masseuses, each with their own massage style. The desk staff can recommend who to use base on your needs or preferences. I like my monthly membership as for its value and convenience. My preferred masseuse is Daniel. The skin care technician is also wonderful and reasonably priced.

Very good overall experience. Massages are approximately 50 minutes and very relaxing. Would recommend.

Omgosh this place was horrible. The place itself looked very nice and clean. The woman at the front desk was nice but facial and massage were both painful. I got a horrible headache that lasted 2 days from the whole experience. Facial girl did not steam my face nearly enough before beginning extractions, so it was the most painful facial Ive ever received in my life. I asked the massage girl to go harder on my traps and she translated that to basically just pinching me really really hard everywhere. Awful massage. I only went there bc my friend got me a groupon, maybe thats why they didnt bother to provide me with a good experience? Because i was there on a groupon? Ive heard some places are nasty to you when youre using a coupon, idk. I will never go back. Just an overall miserable experience. (And yes it was definitely this place i went to, under my real name not my Google account name)

Ive been going to La vida for a few months now, since I moved to Staten Island. Every massage therapist I had was clean and efficient, the place looks very cozy and clean as well. I just had a male massage therapist my last time and let me tell you, that was the BEST massage ive ever had in my life and Im usually not too comfortable going to males, but he made it the best experience. I believe his name was Guillermo.

I’ve had a massage here and recently I tried a signature facial with microdermabrasion, in less than two days I’ve received a lot of compliments on my complexion. I’ve got a glow and it’s thanks to Deana at la vida. She definitely took her time to make sure there wasn’t a blemish left! Gets in there and gets it all out. I highly recommend her and La Vida. Scheduling is easy and there is no wait.

Even after I specified that she was hurting me three times she continued to hyper focus on the same area. They are not doctors or chiropractors but I think they think they are. My shoulders are killing me today. I left more stressed than when I went in. They need to ask you if you want deep tissue or relaxing message.That’s your response? I should have asked? No!!!! You should have specified if I wanted to be tortured in pain? Or relaxed? You’re lucky I’m not money hungry and getting a lawyer!!!!!

I returned to LaVida for the first time in many months due to a back injury even before Covid. Another amazing experience starting with Sabrina at the front desk and wiht the masseuse Lucy. Everyone, including Sabrina, wore masks, disinfected their hands in front of me and the experience was extremely safe and beyond enjoyable. The owenrs were gracious enough to allow me to carry over my many unused months and I will be back next week. Cant say enough good things about LaVida

I always leave here feeling like a million bucks. I would recommend getting a massage here for any reason. Whether you have a bad back like me, or whether you just want to relax for awhile La Vida will take care of you. Definitely stop in. You wont regret it. And definitely get the membership if you plan on coming often.

Awful customer service. Purchased two hour massage as a gift for my sister. They only had staff there until 5 pm, as the receptionist stated. ON top of that, they lied to her that is she does not come in within 3 days, her deal will expire, even though it does not for two more months. Will never recommend their salon to anyone!
