Just received the absolute worst massage of my entire life there. Missed about half the areas on my body including 0 minutes spent on arms, neck, shoulder, feet and spent 30 minutes gently rubbing the skin on my left leg followed by 10 minutes gently rubbing the skin on my right leg. I honestly did not know massages got this bad

I’ve been here 3 times including this recent visit. This was the first time I had a male masseuse, unbeknownst to me. I won’t be going back to him in the future. The knots I had in my neck are still there after leaving and the whole massage seemed like he was rushing through it. Like what’s the hurry? Lol He used very little lotion so there was a lot of friction as well. Unfortunately, It wasn’t as relaxing as I was hoping it’d be.Updated: I visited today and had a female masseuse. She was amazing and I had a great massage and experience overall.

I recently visited for a massage session, hoping to relax and relieve some tension in my muscles. However, my experience turned out to be a nightmare. The male masseuse applied excessive pressure to the center of my back, causing me immense pain. After the session, I found myself in agony and unable to sleep the entire night. Not only did I have to endure physical discomfort, but the worry of worsening pain in my back also kept me up. I would strongly advise against visiting unless you enjoy leaving with more pain than you came in with. This experience has left me hesitant to ever consider returning. This was my first and worst experience ever. I wished I had read the reviews prior to deciding to go here.

THE MOST GHETTO MASSAGE PLACE! DONT COME HERE. You will leave feeling more stressed then when u came in. They literally have convo with the masseuse while she is massaging you. They talk in the next rooms too. Ridiculous. And I witnessed how they treated, almost trapped 2 young black girls when they were done demanding a tip. And when she gave it they wanted much more. Literally wouldnt let them leave. I was shocked. Im NEVER going to that place again. Very scary business.

They are very kind, and they give great massages but they HOUND YOU DOWN for a tip. It was very uncomfortable and put a dent in our birthday celebration. also its a shared room and the man next to my wife, was moaning very loudly it took away from the experience we wont be going back. very disappointing.

Great place excellent massage I read the reviews and am glad I didnt listen. They just want their money up front, maybe because they deal with privileged white people who think they can get away without paying because they didnt like the service. Dont know for sure but I do know they were great if you come for a message get it and leave stop complaining about the color of the walls and how big the place is get your message and get out. The place is great 👍 dont believe the stupid reviews.

I give this place a 1 star because when I got there they wanted the money upfront like give me the money NOW before they even started the massage. Then I asked if I can pay after because that’s how it is in every establishment you get the service then you pay and the owner was like NO Here you pay first then you get service ..they also charge xtra to massage the feet but the feet are a part of the body also. No where’s do they’ve charge extra for feet ! The communication is terrible he doesn’t understand what is being said to him. the owner literally doesn’t care about the customers needs he just wants the money. No quality. This place used to Be good but now the new owner is so greedy. They even DEMAN a tip !!! I am a traveler to many places around the world and I’ve never experienced anything like this bad before especially the treatment. So rude ! Will never go there again.

I love this place because it’s super affordable & the staff do an amazing job. However, I didn’t like when I came there on Saturday & as I was leaving the lady was begging for a tip. Mind you I did tip, I gave money to the lady that was doing my husband’s massage. I let her know half is for you & the other half is for the lady that did mines. A tip is not mandatory! Its suggested I just think it’s unprofessional to ask!

I have been going here for years and just left a full body 1 hour massage that was not as expected. The masseuse hurt me several times and did not massage my feet. At the end of the massage I tipped him $7 not the normal $10 due to the pain I experienced and the lack of foot massage. Then the masseuse then demanded a $10 tip! I proceeded to tell him he did not massage my feet as I have had done there before. I then asked the receptionist why my feet hadn’t been touched and he says feet are not included in the massage which is a lie because I have had it done there in the past. It’s very unfortunate because I have referred many people here over the years and enjoyed visiting them. I will not be going again and will Now have to find a new spa. :(

Massage is wonderful depending on who does it but I no longer frequent this establishment due to the strong armed tactics when it comes to the tip. It’s off putting and unprofessional to demand a specific amount of tip. Don’t try to lure customers in with a sign outside for a low cost massage (I think it says $45/hr) and try to make it up on the back end. It makes more sense to charge more and give $15 to masseuse, in addition to what customers WANT to tip, then lose customers over what you are currently doing. Just my two sense.

This place was great once upon a time, been coming here for years but in the last year it has went downhill!! I used to come here multiple times a month. Yesterday I came in for regular massage as I usually do, but left in pain instead of feeling relax. I booked a 90 minute massage as I usually do but the lady dig her elbow through the entire time! Told her multiple times she was being rough and she just kept ignoring me, after finishing she demanded a tip which I always do but told her I wasn’t tipping due to the horrible service. This place was a great, but not anymore and won’t ever return back. I know this business will loose a lot of customer if they do not go back to how there were before.

We love this place. Second time here for a couples massage! We come out feeling new. I also recommend my friends and they too had a good experience! Clean and cozy!We will keep coming over and over again!

Edited* sept 2023 - I think management has changed unfortunately. I’ve been a customer here for over 10 years and I can’t believe I was treated so poorly today…and after reading some of the recent reviews I guess it wasn’t just a “one off” bad day. I was scoffed at for leaving a 20 percent tip. I understand the masseuses work very hard but there has to be some reasonableness of expectations.They’ve been so good to me in the past that I’m willing to give another chance and edit the review if it was just someone having a bad day.Past review: Quality … can’t believe I used to pay what I paid for terrible massages at like massage envy before coming here. Night and day.

The ambiance is decent but Ive noticed the staff using the same towel for multiple clients. Also , at the end of the service expect to be pressured to give at least a 40% tip. I tip 35 bucks on an $85 service and $12 on the $38 foot rub ( which I thought was generous) but the front desk clerk and masseuse both asked that I tip a little more. As someone in the service industry, I was taken aback. I wont be returning. Looking for another parlor in the area, might try Massage Envy further up on Central. Id rather pay a little more and be treated with decency and respect.

I come here often with my husband and now introduced it to my sisters and mom. They also love it. The massages are just right. Not too hard or too soft. I am very happy with their services as well. A must visit for a relaxing time spent

I had a flu shot yesterday, that was required for employment, and felt under the weather today and aching all over my body. I called all the other massage places to no avail. Far East, fortunately, accepts walk ins and had a whole lot of available open spots, so they took me in right away. They ask for payment before they start their service, which I didn’t mind at all. My masseuse name is Sophia, and she is heaven sent! She knew the right spots to put pressure on and the spots to go gentle on. She incorporated hot stones, which I did not know were included in that very low price, plus stretches that I didn’t know my body needed. The massage I got was definitely what my body needed. The massage place was clean and cozy. They take your temperature as soon as you get in. They then show you to your little massage room, which only had partitions and quite small. The massage bed/table, were clean and you can definitely smell the disinfectant that they just used, which was comforting and will put your mind at ease. If all you’re after is the quality of massage, value for money, and you don’t mind the aesthetics and size of the space or how there isn’t any small talks, then this is the place to go! Do I highly recommend this spot? Absolutely! Walked out of this place, feeling brand new.

Just had a massage today, my first time in this place. I had Alice as my masseuse, she is very good, her quality of massage is so satisfying/relaxing/pain reliever, i asked her to give me a hard massage and i luv it, its like im back home(Philippines). The guy at the front desk is helpful, respectful and communication is ok. The place is neat/clean and with no unwanted smell. Payment is reasonable and not pricey.

Great place. Friendly, clean, zen vibes and calm atmosphere. I had a 1 hour massage with hot stones. The rooms were private, spa music played while massage was happening and my massage was wonderful! I purchased a deal from a third-party site and so happy that I did! I would not have known about this place otherwise. I would definitely recommend it and will return there again, for sure. One tip- bring cash for gratuity :)

The massage is okay most of the time however they are very entitled when it comes to the amount of tip they receive. Tip is not mandatory as there is no disclaimer or inclusive pricing in the advertisement. However the way they conduct their business is extremely unprofessional and uncomfortable for the customer as they are constantly demanding more after both services and tip have been paid.

It was amazing, very clean, and the professional.I had a massage that was so good, I went back about 10 days later, and got another massage,and had a facial the second time. Just felt so good afterwards!!, I highly recommend this place!! AWESOME!!!

Ive been to Fareast Wellness twice already and my husband is going on his third time. This place is absolutely wonderful. I cant say enough great things. I refer everyone I know to them. I believe everyone should have a massage at least once a month, no matter what profession they are in and Fareast Wellness is the place to go. They are super professional and accommodating. Look at their schedule; 10am to 8:30pm EVERYDAY!!!! You cant get any better than that. They are very clean and they have an e-mail address, and you can conveniently make an appointment through e-mail. i LOVE FAREAST WELLNESS!!!

The sign says $40 for an hour massage when I went inside the worker or owner wanted to charge me a different price then he wouldn’t take my Visa gift card so then I pulled my credit card to pay three people walked in after me together then he told me to come back later so he can take them what a Bad business. I left and never again.

Loved this massage. We had a couples massage which was fine, but not necessary obviously. Parked right out front, snow and all! Their hands just knew where all my kinks were and the hot stone finish was perfect. Will def be returning.Their English is a bit dicey except for one man that I saw, so just keep that in mind. Maybe don’t talk so quickly and get frustrated - especially via phone

My cousin took me here to get a massage & let me tell you - I was very pleased with this establishment! It was my first time ever having a massage & it was a wonderful experience. Next time, I’ll be taking my husband for the couples massage ($90)

This is my first time ever writing reviews. I have been going to this massage place for the past year now and I LOVE it. They are very professional and give the best massages. I have tried other places and I can honestly say there is no other place like this one.

Very good. I had Ken do my massage. The very moment your time starts they continue to massage too the very end. He focused on all the knots I had. You get your money worth and the prices have dropped considerably.

Excellent service and so relaxing. Came for a couples massage and am glad that I chose to go here. The relaxing music helped keep me in a relaxed mental state as my tensions were being released. Only downside is that because they have screens you can hear other clients occasionally but its still worth the trip.

Cheap people don’t get massages and thank you for proving my point that your very entitled to your tip amount. You just lost a customer who comes “over and over” over an extra $5, congratulations greedy. -Dahlia S

Clean and safe Chinese massage. Prices are excellent and they have prepayment packages at discount which I always get. The masseuse are all fantastic at what they do and very professional. My wife and I go here at least once a month.

First time getting a foot massage and the place is so clean and odor free . Very sensitive to perfumes and no issues here. Very quiet and able to relax. Very through foot massage and cant wait to make this a routine in my life.

I have been here a number of times through the years and I noticed that the service has gone downhill, especially the past year or so. I had asked for a specific person for my massage when I made my appointment and when I got there I was pawned off to someone else. Not much I could do because my Groupon was expiring but after I use this last Groupon I will not be back.

The massage was great. But they double booked me and my friends when we went. And they got left out on the massage. All be sides that. It was a great experience

This place is amazaing. I got a full body massage with Peter and I have to say it was one of the best massages ever! Great atmosphere, clean and friendly service. The full body included hot stones, massage from head to toe, hot towel, facial massage and stretching. Definitely going back!

Went in for a foot rub. Afterwards the lady told me I had to leave a cash tip. I only had a ten and four singles so I gave her $14., she visibly looked at it, and then looked at me like she was going to bite my head off. She didnt even respond when I said thank you and then a second time when I said good night. The next time I stupidly went there again, that lady was there and obviously told the woman who massaged me that she wasnt pleased w/ my tipping so she had a very nasty disposition and gave me the worst foot massage. Complete waste of my time and driving a half an hour to get there. After this crappy and contentious foot rub, I told her Id leave the tip on the card, so she aggressively waved her arm at me in a shoving motion like: Get out! THEN she followed me to the reception area and literally stood over my shoulder to see what tip amount I was going to write in. It was the most awful intimidating thing to deal with when youre going for a foot rub!!! Still I tried to leave a $14 tip (when she deserved $0.) Then they told me that I HAD to leave a minimum of $15. I wasnt going to oppose these gangster-like intimidation tactics, I gave the vultures the extra dollar and I will never return (would have been a regular). And I am now leaving a well deserved negative review about my awful experience. Ruined a good part of my afternoon when being treated in such a manner was not only abhorrent, but the last thing I needed. You just lost one, Far East. And I will not be referring any of my friends and family to pay for abusive treatment when seeking stress and pain relief.

Went in for a body massage and it was incredible. 45 dollar special for 60 minutes. 20 dollar tip for a total of 65 for and incredible massage! Awesome! I will make this a weekly routine.

This place has the worst customer service. I booked my appointment yesterday and it was snowing and couldnt make it to the place. the worker or owner just hung the phone up on my face and stopped answering the phone. and i paid money to have that service. so now i am stuck. paid for the service but did not receive one. Worst place ever. DONT GO THERE.

The place needs to be better conditioned, the more private rooms really when you go to massage you are hearing the moans and snoring of the person next to you. They do a good job but the place is a little poorly arranged.
