The Kress Ultra Lounge

I recently visited Kress Bar in downtown Yuma, expecting a fun and lively bar and pub experience. However, I was disappointed by the unfriendly and unwelcoming attitude of the staff and bartenders. It felt like they were just going through the motions and lacked any genuine warmth or hospitality.Furthermore, I found the prices to be quite high, making it an expensive outing. The bar was also overcrowded, which made it difficult to relax and enjoy my time there.Overall, my experience at Kress Bar was not a positive one. The lack of friendliness from the staff, high prices, and overcrowded atmosphere left much to be desired. I hope that the establishment can work on improving the customer service and overall experience for future patrons.

Security is there biggest issue. They will legit kick you out for anything. I understand the fact they don’t want people super intoxicated roaming the building, but the smallest issue such as spilling a drink or accidentally bumping into someone is a reason they will remove you. If you even try to address the situation with them, they will legit put there hands on you which is unethical and illegal. Also, they play the same music over and over. Best of going to Alement.

Was about to go in with my wife we saw security treating people like trash and being extra rude so decided against it. Then I came to see the reviews and realized that this is the normal here.

I don’t care I’m gonna write a bad review on every platform they got and if it’s every day it’s gonna be every day until someone get a hold of me because what happened on Saturday night nah now as many times as I went to that club and never had a problem with anyone I come to Dance and have fun but your security need training how I get hit with a bottle and I’m the one that got kicked out and when I told the security guard, he said he knows he saw it and still didn’t do anything so when I saw still there and I did not care she got the beaten and then still had her in the club because everyone that I was with was still in the club they let her stay knowing for the fact she was the one that threw the bottle only because it was Latin night I don’t give a care if it’s African-American night hip-hop night you treat everybody with respect because the one that should’ve got kicked out with the one through the bottle and they should’ve been asking me if I was OK the one that got asked me deserved it and every day I’m gonna write a bad review about this club until somebody do something about that because your security guard even needs get fired or needs to go get some training. Both parties should’ve got kicked the out first of all. If they don’t know how to do the job right they shouldn’t be security. Tell them to stop using a title high because they ain’t cops they’re just security and another thing is I was followed in there ever since I walked in that club, and don’t even know why.

This place is really fun to hit at the end of the night. Multiple areas with different dance genres. But ultimately the drinks are meh at best. A bit pricey for the quality you get.

I read some of the reviews and didnt have high expectations but there arent a lot of dance/night clubs so we figured we would give the Kress a try. When we got there, we were so impressed! As far as night clubs go, this one was great and hit all the marks! Clean, interesting layout, great DJs, live music, and variety! There are three different areas for different types of music and there is a bar in every one. Now, fair warning...the night we were there, there was a very young crowd BUT the atmosphere was great. Drinks were a little pricey, but hey, thats everywhere nowadays. Security was professional and friendly. Bartenders were attentive. There are also plenty of places to sit or stand and place your drinks. We had a great time. We will be back. 😁

1st time going it was all Spanish music on repeat. Wish it had some variety drinks were pricey Jimmy Dees is way better best bar tenders and crowd.

Found this place by accident. Decent club to hang out at. Rooftop is lot more chill. Bounced between rooms, both had good music and drinks, (Don Juilo & soda) and perfectly priced. Not sure why they have so much security for the size of the place, but security acted very professional when I interacted with them.

I love this dance club more than any dance club in any other place Ive been, and Ive been to dance clubs all over the world. I go here at least once a month when Im in Yuma. This place is classy af, good lighting, clean bathroom with an attendant. Three dance floors: one Latin, one hip-hop, and the rooftop which is a mix of both and has one of Yumas nicest views. Dee the bartender is my favorite, I always go to her and before I even order she puts out the Modelo I always ask for. Great music and always a great vibe. The bouncers are on point, making sure women feel safe and removing people who make trouble. They do a quick ID background check at the door and check your purse and pat you down, for safety. No gum allowed in your purse and sadly no weed vape allowed either (yes they will check what type of vape it is). The lights go up at about 1:45; people start coming onto the floor after 10. Only complaint: I wish the ladies restroom stalls would have a small ledge to place a clutch cuz its hard to hold the clutch and do your business. But I understand they probs dont want people leaving things in the stalls all the time.

Fun bar. Hip hop room, salsa room, upstairs rooftop Plays 2000s oldies and house music..long line after 11 pm. Restroom line can be a bit long but they are always clean.

Been here a couple of times and almost all of those times have had a great time!!I believe her name is Leticia, sorry if I got that wrong but she is the tall security girl there honestly has been nothing but AMAZING to me and my group, when there we usually do reserve a table the server & manager that set that up are prompt and make sure your good. Hip Hop side is where its at the DJ plays good music.Only issue I have is when some of the people that somehow end up getting into your reserved section, personally if I know nobody in that section way try and wiggle your way in, if you want some personal space get a table but whenever that happens security is quick to let them know they gotta go.So if your in Yuma and wanna let loose stop by, there is no cover!! and show up early it gets packed quick.

I went there to have a good time and enjoy the night. My night started off great, the bartenders were fantastic made my drinks quickly and well. I didn’t have any issues with the atmosphere or the other guests at the bar. Most of all the staff was fantastic answered my questions, as I was only visiting Yuma.There was however one bouncer who accosted me 2 times that evening saying I was blocking traffic, when there was no one near me or behind me. The second time he accosted me he actually laid his hands on me! I hand done nothing incorrectly! There where no signs posted anywhere in the club informing any kind of rules! I was dress for representing PRIDE🌈 I had makeup on and was complimented multiple times by staff and other guests!! But this one bouncer kept getting extremely irritate towards me! I asked him to explain himself! He stated he didn’t have to and that I had to leave the club! He pulled 3 other bouncer over and said that I was being aggressive. Then he kept touching me and grabbing my arms and trying to pull me towards the exit! I requested multiple times for him to stop touching me that I was willing leaving the bar! It was very upsetting that i was told by multiple residents of Yuma that this particularly bar was accepting to the LGBTQ 🏳️‍🌈 community! They are as far as I am concerned! But this ONE Individual ruined the fantastic evening I was having! I would have loved to have left a better review but I can’t due to this one individual who had some kind of vendetta towards me! I was disappointed!

We go here bc it’s the only place to dance in Yuma but I’d actually rather peel my own eyeballs out with glass every single time I’m there. The security acts as if they make millions by the hour for yelling at you and they overall are the worst people you could ever encounter. You may as well drink in an alley with the man who stole your car battery

Great nightclub with 3 different DJs and type of music playing. Despite being 3 floors it can get pretty crowded the later it gets.

We got a VIP table, long story short The waitress need a customer service, 101 lesson and the Security guards are unprofessional they need some lessons as well…

First 5 minutes after being there a big fight broke loose and we almost got hurt. The rest of the evening was okay. Top floor has heaters and great hip hop music. Latin side seems to play the same music over and over again. Drinks are decent. By the end of the night, its over crowded and you just need to get outta there.

If you’re looking for the Yuma yummy of your dreams or your next absent baby daddy then look no further and come on in. The establishment is like any other here in Yuma, drinks are overpriced, it’s divided into sections depending on your taste in music/dancing. Honestly just set up a Bluetooth speaker at your house and put your cellphone on shuffle, get yourself some alcohol at Walmart and call it a day. If you’re feeling fancy go to CircleK, buy a thirst buster of choice and spike it with that dollar bottle of vodka they have at the register (so cute). You are guaranteed to have the same experience you have at the Kress if followed the previous mentioned instructions. You’re welcome just saved you some cash and a DUI.

Ive only been a couple times. The last time there one bathroom security person kept two drink girls from being all sloppy and agress towards me for no reason trying to put beads around my neck. They called her Ma I know its a club, people get a little thirsty, but some cant handle themselves. But Ma had everyones safety in mind. She reminded them of where they were and everyone was there to have a good time if not they could leave. I heard that the new owner went through the staff eliminated the jobs or some I hope for their sake and all the other ladies around they keep her. I wont go back if I cant feel safe.

So I was on the top floor and they kicked me out for absolutely no reason, whatsoever. I was actually looking after my friends that are younger than me and they did not provide a reason for kicking me out. Horrible place. Bouncers wont logic with you. And I didnt even do anything wrong. NEVER AGAIN!!!

Where can i start ? This was horrible.. the first time i ever stepped in this so called Night Club i was immediately removed because someone felt threatened by me who i didn’t even know , incident number #1 . 2nd time some security guard started getting in my face and put his hands on me and i was jumped by 5 or more security . 3rd they attempted to clean up racial attack and asked me to perform at the kress hip hop room , and he manager refused to pay me for what we had on contract once i pursued legal action he paid the amount and black listed me . All i hear from this place is bad management , horrible staff and watered down vodka. VIP is a joke , the real vip experience has been at clubs out of town like Zuma, C.A.S.A , Luxx, Monarch or El jefe to name a few . Flat out the Kress is a Joke and it’s a shame management or the owners have not addressed none of these issues ! This place is a horrible representation of what a Night Club in This town should be ! My true rating is a Negative 5 ... “ -5 “ Good Day

180 degree turnaround here. We dont know what changed but there is a big difference in the way we were treated by security and the atmosphere is much better now. No more thugs working. Instead of Kress being our last desperate resort to go dancing maybe it will become our first choice. I took the time to write the terrible review I previously had posted because of our terrible experiences. So its only right to correct it and we want to say thank you.

The Kress has to be one of the nicest establishment downtown, very cool with a great atmosphere, I like when they have the rooftop bar open because its such a unique feature. Is there a cover? sometimes, but if you really think about it the cover goes to paying the entertainment that keep us having a good time, so I think a small cover is always reasonable. I think its a great addition to the resurgence of downtown Yuma.

Club itself is good. But why does the bathroom lady try to start some fights. Came out of the bathroom, the bathroom lady is out there with some other ladies pointing at me asking if i’m Having a problem with her and the guests. I’m in my 30s i was there for the first time i don’t need some drama just because some ladies have issues . Not going again because of that.

Zero stars if possible, used to like this place before the big bathroom ladies were there trying to control everyone and everything with a very rude way of demanding how you can use the damn restroom, it’s a social club you go there to have a good time, you don’t go in there to get screamed at by their bathroom lady for stupid reasons. Lost my business and i know you will be losing more people because of this securities/bathroom lady however you want to call her.

I DO NOT recommend this place. The managers are crooks and do not honor written contracts they have with their entertainers, paying only half of what was written in the contract. They are bullies and I would NEVER support a business with such dishonest people. They use their bouncers for intimidation for their own selfish purposes. Besides this, the food is really poorly prepared and the service isnt impressive.

Negative Stars if I could!! . Security elbowed me in the face and I had a swollen lip. Was here for the first time with my girl and our husbands and my girl went to the bathroom and her husband waited outside for her and they kicked him out because he “tripped” or stumbled and kicked him out for that and then my husband ask why he was getting kicked out then they kicked my husband out and ELBLOWED me in the face. I confronted the dude and he said he HAD to punch me in the face and didn’t offer my first aid or anything . Then I confronted the woman who apparently was the manager and she offered me a free drink and I told her that I needed water or ice for my face because I just got punched and my face is swallon she didn’t apologize for anything just tried to cover it up. The lovely LOVELY brewery next door gave me ice and water and said they have heard awful things about the Kress and hear and see a lot of bad things and they were so nice to me. My husband then called the cops because they would give me the name of the guy that hit me. One cop was so understanding and said that they get this a lot theres nothing they can do unfortunately but they said that this happens a lot. I would not recommend this place ever my first experience was horrible and I’m never returning.

Loved it! Lots of space, a DJ! and a band playing in the other room! While others get to enjoy the roof top area to lounge and kick back and soak in the fresh air. Its an awesome place and I highly recommend others to attend. Especially on Saturday nights with DJ Dort Vader and Jonny Awesum!

I Love The Kress!! Best Place Downtown for Live Music and Drinks. The Bands and Djs know how to get that place Bangin!! Plus its the only place that has as a Rooftop Lounge. Great place to go hangout and relax after, a long day.

So many negative reviews about this club but yet yall talk alotta smack when youre drunk. You complain about the bouncers and how they strip search but yet theres cameras everywhere to see what goes down. If it wasnt for the big female bouncers to keep you in check then you would be bitching about how crappy Yumas only club would be. Be sober and tell the truth.

Jan is a horrible employee, in the 15 minutes in line she1: Singled 5 people out to pay the “ cover charge” that the rest of the 45 people didn’t pay.2: Didn’t let a sober person in because the woman asked what time it was3: She was very rude and unprofessionalThe employee alone made the night unenjoyable.

Horrible... They only get business by default. The bouncers are basically strip searching the girls at the door. After you have to separate with your date at the door. Once you get stripped searched and have to wait for your date they tell you to go inside even though your waiting for your date. Not that serious so I left...

You stand in line for an hour trying to get in, service inside is terrible. Its the worst kind of bar, its the you only have one option for drinks tonight and we know it so were gonna treat you terrible. Ive been to large cities and never went through anything like this. Stay away at all costs!!!

I showed up around 10, on Friday no cover. Club started to jump off around midnight. Good music, fun times.

Only actual club in Yuma. Their 3rd story rooftop is my favorite place to have a cocktail. Dj is usually playing to the crowd

I’m in town just passing thru on vacation from Utah . I do have to say I am very impressed with this club The Kress. I wish Utah had something like this.

Rooftop nightclub. Youll struggle to find anywhere else like this in Yuma so youve gotta go if you want drinks and dancing. Gets busy so watch out for big queues.

Take your business and money somewhere else. this place just ain’t it.

Loved it at first until you realize they play the same music...weeks after weeks...after weeks. Sad.

The staff was extremely rude, I would never go back, it’s a shame, years ago this place was a lot of fun. I hope the owner/management reevaluates their hires.
