She had her grandchild in the hair salon so she couldnt pay attention to my hair. I requested a blow out but got a wash and blow dry instead. The grandchild was eating chips and then touched my hair. To add her grandchild who was like 4 was listening to WAP. She kept asking to go get something to eat which made her rush to finish my hair. Do not recommend and Never going back.

Xiomara is amazing and provides the best Dominican blow out and style in northern Va. She has been styling and caring for my hair (every two weeks) for the past 7 years. Her work ethic and talent is immeasurable and unparalleled. When my family are in town, they quickly get on her schedule for an amazing blowout. If you want efficiency, you must book an appointment on her website as she’s comes highly recommended and often gets booked up quickly. Your time at X&J salon will be worth it.

I love Xiomara! I have thick and curly natural hair and you can’t tell that I don’t relax my hair anymore (for the past 8 years!!!). I can’t understand the review about her putting relaxer on someone’s hair. In the shampoo? That doesn’t even make sense. That’s not who Xiomara is and how she operates. She is an amazing hairstylist and leaves your her beautiful, straight and shining.

The owner charged me $20 for hair treatment and $45 just rollers but never touched me. Her assistant was very nice but kept getting bossed around by the owner. No trim. No blow dry. No flat iron. No hair drops. $75

Worst salon in the world .There is a rude black guy doesn’t know how to cut hair and behave with customers.Never going back to this saloon .It’s a nightmare.They smoke weed in front of customer. Should have call police..

X&J Dominican Hair Styles was such a life saver for me back in September after my regular stylist canceled on me at the last minute. I went on line and found X&J and was able to be in the chair immediately ( timing was perfect). I came in fresh from taking my braids out and they washed, conditioned, trimmed and flat iron my hair beautifully! They made a new customer out of me that day! I’ve sent my mom recently and have recommended to everyone! The service is detailed and efficient! Love love X&J!!

X, the hairstylist dyed, washed, conditioned my hair prior to blow drying and straightening it...great timing...fast and final result gorgeous. Id recommend this salon for fast and beautiful results.

The nail technician is TERRIBLE but the beautician is AMAZING!! she gets me in and out. Reasonable price for the amazing job she does. I come for blow outs ( have been 3 times) and they look GREAT every time. Normally last for a full month. This has became my #1 hair spot i refuse to go anywhere else. BUT ill never get my nails done here again. I had 3 broken nails in less than a day they were poorly filed, they all had different sizes and lengths. I went back for her to fix and and they look worse than before. friendly girl but she needs more practice and experience.If you are NATURAL I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this hair salon.

I have a few pictures of the extensions that came out on Day 2 but that’s not what’s most important. LADIES - This salon puts RELAXER IN THEIR SHAMPOO and/or CONDITIONER. My leave out hair started getting straighter after every visit, three visits total. I also have very large areas of dry patchy scalp that I have not had in the past. They are not even worth the price. Your money is better spent elsewhere.

I dont know why I tried this place for the second time. It was only because my hair dresser is out. First time: owner was rude and she gave me a bath without apologies. Adding, my hair looked so bad! Second time: even more rude, another bath, broke my hair off, wouldnt use my rollers for a set and refused to listen to me. Ive NEVER been treated this poorly at a salon. Her shop isnt clean and always empty. Now I see why. You will never get my money again, honey. Ill hall my behind to MD. It appears she doesnt care for natural hair or have the patience to deal with it. Ive worked to hard for my beautiful head of hair to have a salon owner treat it this bad.She needs customer service training, pronto. Save your hard earned dollars for good service that values you.

I made appointment online for a full set and eyebrows.* UPDATE* The nail person did terrible job. After four days, three nail already broken and one coming off. I was so upset and hurt over my New full set of nails. I think the person was new, and she seem nice. But she had to take off three nails she already put on and it took 1 hour and half to do a full set. She didnt seems to file them down or smooth the top and it very thick and rough. I know the nail person knew I was not happy because she keep saying she fix them. I tried to explain it her and tell her the problem but language was an issue.By 6 pm I was over it and ready to go. Two of the nails did not have enough material on top of nail, it already bent when I got home.My nails looks bad. Money down the drain.My eyebrows looks great, which the Owner did.

Xiomara is my favorite. Very good with the heat, as blow outs can be painful at times because the blow dryer is so hot. Also this salon is very quick and they work well together. I have never spent more than 2 hours there.

Xiomara was a NYC girls dream come true I have been wishing for a salon close by for a while like this and she is awesome and will give you the best wash and set!!!!

Loved my weave install self from Birmania’s. She has high quality hair available on-site to buy for your install. Great overall experience and at a very reasonable price. Highly recommend!

Friendly staff once I started speaking Spanish. I was charged $75 for a wash, trim, blow and flat iron. A few days after, my hair started to get super scaly dry patches, which I’ve never experienced before in my life. I’m assuming it might be a reaction to something she used in my hair. I won’t be returning.

I walked in to get a silk press this was like a month or 2 ago and the blow out came out nice straight beautiful...but the way the lady handled my hair I had to force her to put heat protectant on my head, she was crazy rude, was hurting my head. And she didn’t put moisturizer or anything she just wanted to blow dry and flat iron..walked out with a nice blow out but my scalp was sore

This is not what it appears to be! It’s not “a salon” it’s literally a collaboration of diff booths with a variety of individuals doing whatever they do within their collective spaces.

She did an amazing job on my hair I was a little apprehensive about trimming my hair and she insisted I should do it and offered to cut my hair for free, I am so glad I listened to her I love my hair and I’m getting so many compliments ☺️

Worst experience with a hair stylist that I ever had. First of all there is only one lady that cuts kids hair out of all that work there. Second that lady was very rude when i asked her for suggestions of hair cut. Third she gave a small cut behind the ear of my son while using the machine. No apologies were made. Would NOT recommend this place for anyone. Never going back.

Horrible customer service, they let some people skip the line. I went there for an appointment at 10:30 AM and only to have to wait till 1:00 pm and waited even longer after washing and some people were taken care of right after they got there . I would not recommend this place unless you have all day to seat around . Having an appointment is useless

Unsure what happened. I made an appt for 5 pm on Tuesday. I showed up at 430pm and the shop was closed. I did not receive a call indicating my appt was cancelled. A bit unprofessional in my opinion.

I made an appt just for a basic haircut and 3 people came in after me. Those 3 people were serviced first and they told me I had to wait for this one stylist to be available. I got up and left. Waste of time.

I went to this salon for a blow out, the owner was rude. I was waiting for a while for this one styles, she gave me a bath. If you are a black woman with natural hair stay away from this salon, they dont want you there and would treat you poorly. Zero stars

First time I went to that salon, the lady who washed my hair is a very pedantic person, she is an animal with clothes, I talked to her and she stayed silent, I gave her my own products to wear and she questioned every Product that I gave her, in the end I asked a question and she answered me in a very unpleasant way, after my time in the dryer was over, she wanted to blow the blower into my hair and since I was already on the verge of exploding, I told her that I I wanted the other girl, called Burma, to do my hair, and by the way I was delighted with the result, otherwise you wouldnt come back to the salon, but since the last girl did my hair very well, Im going to come back and take my 2 Daughters too.

In reality, they do a spectacular job. I recommend them 100%. Very professional...
