We booked almost all the VIP and felt incredibly disregarded during our time. We were assaulted by security for asking for help. I have never experienced this in my 15 years of working in night life. This place should advertise that VIP comes with being assaulted by security for asking for help. My sisters were feeling a bit drowsy and they were taking the time to breathe and calm down. One of our guests was looking for help from someone and because he walked away from the party security was uncoordinated and confused so their choice of discombobulated action was to assault our guest. Our guest was shoved and assaulted for standing idly. Every other single security member was standing watching while our guets was just being harassed and shoved for standing for a few minutes. We understand protocol and we Were cooperating. There was no reason for security to pick a fight with our guest. We will never come back and i am making a police report.
Whatever you do. Do not go here, it is not worth the time or money. The service is extremely terrible, the atmosphere is poor, security is very rude, and the drinks are extremely watered down. I understand its a nightlife lounge, but trust me there are so many other better places in the dmv area that provide exceptional service and the experience will be, by far worth the money and time! Save yourself the time and headache, and honestly do not go here.
Lost my phone here and Joshua was so helpful in getting it back! I recommend using their website to get in contact with them since they responded within the hour. Great service and beautiful area!
I am extremely disappointed by your business practices after reaching out multiple times through multiple avenues (phone call/VM, text, Instagram message, contact form) to see if anyone had turned in my wallet after losing it on a Saturday night. Please do not advertise ways to contact your business if you will not monitor them. I knew the chances were slim that it was found, but a courtesy call/text stating it had not been turned in is not a lot to ask for. Do better.
There are not enough stars to capture how wonderful it was to have our wedding at Clarendon Ballroom!!! When we first started looking for places in DC to get married, we were a bit overwhelmed by the choices. Thankfully we came across Clarendon Ballroom. We actually didnt know that they did weddings, and we are SO glad we learned that they did, as they dont just do weddings...they make the wedding of your dreams possible! We found them to be very affordable, and they do everything in house--linens, staff, bar, food, even the cake! It was so nice to be able to go down the checklist and say included to so much and to work with a single venue on so many of the key elements that pull a wedding together. They were an absolute dream to work with! From picking out linens, to our tasting, to helping execute every last wish that we had, they amazed us every step of the way. When we picked up our stuff on the Monday after our wedding, not one single item of decor was missing or damaged and they had gone above and beyond to save the top of our wedding cake (we didnt even ask for this) and send us home with some left over hors doeuvres from the cocktail hour! Amazing! Our guests are STILL raving about how gorgeous the venue was, how amazing the food was, how much they loved the location and how cool the rooftop was. I am so grateful to Clarendon Ballroom, Sandra Hoehne, and all the other amazing staff that literally pulled off the wedding of our dreams and I am SO glad that my husband and I chose Clarendon Ballroom as our wedding venue!
Our server julian was soo… horrible. Didnt know anything about the menu/drinks. And then said they didnt do cocktails/mixed drinks but I saw the other ladies doing it. I even expressed to one of them I didnt want him to make my drink and she said to let her know if I didn’t like it but never came back to check. Meanwhile he is sitting not even an inch away from us giving out free drinks to his friends, which I really would’ve minded my business on, but not once did he even check in with us or any other people but was actively ignoring everyone else. One of the girls even told him to check up on his people and he still refused. Idk how or why we were stuck with him buy if thats the standard then please do better . Automatic gratuity shouldn’t mean bad service. I have received way better service in an atl night club and thats crazy considering you all didn’t have twice as many people as they would have. Your security was more personable than him.
Definitely will not be returning here. Went here on 09/09 after brunch with my family for my cousin’s b’day. Decided to come here since we still had time left on our parking. Went to the rooftop and no one was there until we showed up. Bartender was cool at first, but then she became unpleasant. After reading the reviews I agree the workers seem to think they can talk to people any kind of way. Thank goodness for growth because home girl was being very unprofessional. Tone and attitude not needed or warranted.
Did NYE at Clarendon Ball room and I gotta say I have no idea how they get away with putting so many people in the venue at once. There money hungry and dont care about class. It was so crowded you couldnt move. definitely way over the fire marshals capacity limit..
I never got my pepper spray back. I gave it to a guy named Mike and he said he’d have it there for me when I leave and I never got it back!! A lady then told me once you give something to a bouncer, you never get it back. i want my pepper spray
Security patted us down like we were entering an airport. Drink pours were terrible. Carpeted areas smelled very strongly of rotten eggs? There were lots of people dancing which was cool, but this place sketches me out. We didn’t get attacked by bouncers as other reviewers experienced, but I’m not really privy on trying my luck again.
Nice if you like to dance. One beer here was $10😅
The security guard pulled my hand very rudely from the dance floor and threw me out on a silent street just because there was a balloon on the floor and it got busted while dancing. My friends begged to send them out the same way so that they can come to me and we can leave since I had no phone near me, the guard did not allow for whatsoever reason. This behavior is not acceptable!!
The rooftop here used to be one of the best (and one of the only) rooftops in the area. It had great friendly bartenders, a long happy hour, lots of people. No more. Mediocre beer runs almost $9 for a 12oz can (during happy hour), staff is odd (to say the least), and it feels like a strip mall version of a club. Sad to see a great space go to waste. Avoid.
Without question, the quality of Clarendon Ballroom has progressively gone downhill over the past 5 years since Ive been going here. So...despite the growing # of negative reviews, a group of us (the majority) decided to go back this past weekend. To get in, we had to go thru a security checkpoint. Basically, a couple of guys frisking each of us, then searching thru purses, jackets, pockets, etc...and THOROUGHLY...literally TSA-style. a couple of years ago, it was a couple of guys checking id. This alone should have been a big red flag. After a quick bite to eat on the roof (great nachos and chicken bites, btw), we headed downstairs, ordered some drinks and cups of water at the bar and just pretty much kept to ourselves out of the way. Or so we thought.A little over an hour in, we were dancing close to the bar area away from the bartender working areas and moreso from the larger crowd. Suddenly, weve got a bright light overhead as a very tall (~63), thin security guard tells folks to move out of the way as he ushers one of the female bartenders thru the crowd to the front area. (He was actually holding her upper arm firmly, so not sure if she was sick or drunk.) Some of us dancing away from the bar, scooted closer to our group/bar to make a path for them, only to be pushed even closer to the bar. This happened three different times (transport of bottles of alcohol to VIP booths, we guessed). Note, were all huddled close to the bar, but 15+ or so from where the bartenders are taking orders. Bartenders arent telling us were in their way or anything. On the third pass, to make even more room, the guy resorts to aggressively shoving a couple of the ladies in our group…one almost to the floor…for no good reason other than hes security. One or more people shove back and now hes on his mic, asking for help from his team. (After all, you know how rough these petite ladies can be.) When a female security person arrives, we and other folks nearby stepped in to explain the situation, that we were attempting to stay out of the way, we werent drunk, and yet this particular security guys aggression and attitude was creating problems where there hadnt been any. Really no excuse. She seemed to understand and agree, because from that point on our troubles stopped.Best we could tell, these 2-3 trips were mostly for delivering bottles of alcohol from the bar area to the VIP section about 35-40 away. (Keep in mind, the bar runs almost the entire length... ~50...of a side wall.) If accurate, its inexcusable that the management/owner hasnt studied the logistics of moving whatever from source to destination without having to resort to pushing and shoving your paying customers in the process. I was a bar back in my youth. There are better ways. In this case, management was essentially setting his teams up for failure and the security guys shoving and attitude almost got his clock rung in the process. Unless theres real and significant change here, this place is doomed to close. That or hopefully change ownership for the better.A word to the wise. Having a large security checkpoint area in front of a bar like this, there are reasons why folks are being frisked so thoroughly (ie, fights, shootings, stabbings, etc). Is it really worth the trouble?
They made my birthday an unforgettable experience! The security was super nice to me and allowing me to request songs from the DJ & gave me a section to sit at with my party. The women’s bathroom attendant is the best!! She always takes care of the girls. The music is also really good for the most part. Thanks for making my birthday the best !!
5 stars for the lounge atmosphere with the new set up. Everything else, needs work! Music was pretty good carrying a big dancing crowd. When we got in around 10, it felt like walking in a club in Miami that justified the pricey bottles needed to reserve a table for the group. But as the night progressed the stars dropped precipitously : non existent service - and we were at a tableThe VIP area is not protected, expect the crowd to overflow on your seats, park and spill drinks on the seats. The whole place gets dirty fast since there is no real upkeep happening through the night. If you venture to get a drink get ready to wait that easily exceed 20 minutes!>> reaffirmed the rating: great atmosphere and fund crowd, but service and drinks need improvement!
A nice place to hang out when their rooftop is open, because its usually deserted. Theres a big management problem - to the extent that they make the amazing servers take both your credit card AND your ID to start a tab - but if you can get over the archaic way of doing business, its really nice. After all, thats probably one of the reasons its so quiet.
Big disappointment to the evening on my first time in Clarendon a few weeks ago. Never had been here before, waited in line and was admitted in by the young women at the front. All of a sudden one of the bouncers proceeded to search me without my consent, touching me in areas I did not feel comfortable. When I told him he needed to ask to search me (to which he could have asked me to leave the premises if I did not consent), he pulled me aside aggressively and said This is what we do. There was no reasonable suspicion, and makes me feel even more uncomfortable as several others had been pickpocketed this evening. Hopefully this review will bring light to the management and be discussed with the staff.
Hello,I wanted to report a situation that happened tonight. I order a drink at the bar and I did not tip. Because I did not tip the bartender named Ryan said “you don’t get that much liquor when you don’t tip (mind you this was my first drink at the club so I didn’t even know how the drink was). I didn’t really pay that any mind. I wanted another drink so I can back to the bar and ordered a shot. When I was given the shot, it tipped over because of the lime on the side of the shot glass, I tried to get Ryan but he basically ignored me because I did not tip. Once I saw him do that I tried to grab the attention of another bar tender or person that was behind the bar at the time. The person was about to replace my shot until Ryan told them no.. He blocked the person from getting the shot. After that I proceeded to another person and Ryan intercepted again by saying I was done. After that I went to the security and many of them helped me get the vet manager where I was able to explain what happened and finally replace the shot that I had purchased.
Nice place inside and great bartenders but the bouncers will charge you a cover based on how you look. these charges are also just the personal venmo’s of the bouncers…. they charged me and my friends different amounts and when i said it wasn’t cool, he said “it doesn’t matter because i decide who gets in.” so go ? but bring money, you’ll have to pay.
Don’t go here unless you want to get ROBBED!!! My phone was stolen on the dance floor (taken out of my zipped purse)!! I asked security if they had a lost and found to check, and they laughed at me saying “good luck.” I was NOT THE ONLY ONE- 2 other girls I was with had their belongings stolen, and 3 of our close friends let us know that they had their phones and wallets stolen that same night as well!!I understand this may have been an incident that slipped under security’s noses, and there’s not much that can be done about a stolen item, but the way in which the situation was handled was totally unprofessional and downright obnoxious. There is no definite lost and found in this bar, so if you misplace a belonging, or even are a Good Samaritan and turn a lost item in to the bar, DOUBT it’ll ever get back to its owner. Also, I’d expect security to say a little more than “good luck.” Especially when MULTIPLE people are experiencing incidents of theft in the same bar. This bar has gone from a classic, fun spot to a TOTALLY UNSAFE and unkempt environment.
Lost my phone here and went back couple of times but never got it back. Very nice people I might add. The phone stayed on radar and showed it was still inside the ballroom till the moment battery ran out (48 hours later, sunday evening, ballroom closed till friday). However, 3 weeks later my phone has popped up on the map again, and it turns out one of the employees has taken it home... no wonder it could not be found. The employee in question lives at or near Woodbury Apartments.
It was a horrible experience. The security let us in. We got drinks at the bar. Then all of a sudden we got yelled and commanded to go upstairs. With no explanation. And on top of that they mentioned my friend’s nationality to be a problem (Asian). This is not fair. You can just explain without yelling what the rules are in your place. Please don’t disrespect anyone who comes to support your business!!!!!!
We were visiting from vegas and saw the place was empty. Should have been a red flag. I had a fashion backpack on and so did my friends. The security searched our bags and let us in. I got a shot and a side of coca cola . The side of coca cola was a shots worth too and it was $8...why. We asked the bartender if it was an event and without looking up he flatly said no. We were like okay and went on the dance floor. The security made my friends put their bags on a couch and because I had a bad feeling I didnt take my bag off. I got another drink and ANOTHER security guard came up and said I needed to check my bag...even though the other guard let me in after searching it of course. I gave in and after putting my bag on an open table in the back I asked if I could step outside for a smoke. I was holding my drink and when I came back inside I was greeted by yet another security guard who said ID. I said I was just in here and before I could finish he snatched the drink out of my hands and threw it away. Then he went through my jacket pockets. I was so appalled I asked for my bag because it wasnt on the table I just left it on. Another guard whispers in the guys ear who just went through my pockets without permission and I see them go in the back behind a curtain to get my bag. Super fishy. Nothing was missing but I was only gone for a few minutes. I felt violated and idk how this place is still in business.
Whats there to say, the place is a good time. Everyone always brings up the crowd that goes there. Yes, they are slightly younger than other crowds. But (unlike some of the other clubs) at least the line is quick to get in.The place is a lot of fun. All kinds of great music when youre there. Nice and roomy place. I bet in some years, theyll actually have to turn people away.
This establishment has the most draconian, questionable practices of any bar in the DMV area. My sister’s government issued Driver’s License was confiscated by the establishment’s shoddy security team. After providing ample documentation proving her age and identity, the establishment was unable to return said ID. I wish I knew the name of the bouncer so I could publicly blast him, but he was very patronizing to both my sister and me. Do not give this establishment the privilege of your business. Stay far away from shady ethical practices!
This place has such a nice environment but the security is horrible. They attacked and got physical with my fiancé for no apparent reason. Taking their uniform too seriously. Even Arlington county told me I had a case against them with the footage they pulled. Me being a female, they even put their hands on me and have documentation of it as well. I cannot wait to take this place to court!
All the reviews on here are absolutely and 100% correct. I didn’t believe it until I experienced it first hand. Got physically dragged and kicked out by the bartender for looking at the drinks menu and then the bouncers tried to push me down the stairs. Absolutely vile place. No one should spend a dollar here, not sure who they think they are but never go there if you’re planning to.
Horrible service, bartenders were rude and wouldnt serve claiming we were part of a group who didnt tip (even though we had just gotten there and actually do tip). There was a guy and girl who were actively being rude about it and only served a few people while ignoring the rest. Dont go here, better off at any other bar in Clarendon.
My fiance and I love coming here! We love the huge dance floor! Makes cutting a rug a lot easier lol the rooftop bar is a great place to mingle and drunkenly chit chat! Overall, a fun and exciting place! You never know who youre going to meet!
85% of the staff (bouncers) inside needs to get fired for the way they talk to customers, too rude and unprofessional.Makes you finish the drink on your hand, there is a whole line for the bar instead of hiring more bar tenders. ( I know it’s a pandemic but sad truth no one is wearing mask inside what’s the difference ? )If you try to catch up for a moment to drink or to talk somewhere, bouncers start flashing a bright light right in your eye and push you, yeah literally.Just a heads up so you can know how is it there, not recommending it to no one, Bar Bao across the street is way way better.
Not sure whats going on. The security treats us like threat. They kick the people (2 of the ladies that I was with were literally kicked and choked) for no reason. We paid and had NO drinks (not drunk) and not sure what their problem was. The reviews by Alexandra D. & Naheed Hashimi are absolutely correct, please help them in taking more pictures and help them in proving their point. When I read their reviews.... I thought it was just their anger, until it happened to us. Also the COPS were there and they saw everything and looked the other way, it is quite clear that these cops (not their fault) have been instructed to not do anything and keep watching and get paid.
Prepare to be treated like the dirt under the bouncers shoes even when you have a table booked. Drink as fast as you can cause they’ll tear your drink out of your hand and tear you out ten minutes before your reservation ends! This is a glorified hotel ballroom anyways.
The people working there are ridiculous. They must stay at the hotel del garbagio because thats the kind of service I recieved. Really pissed that they rang up my bar tab because I wasnt pleased with the bartenders service. After expressing my disappointment, the bartender ended up buying drinks on my tab for his friends. Its a great place to meet people but dont expect anything from the venue itself.Hope the management reads this because they need to fix A LOT OF THINGS!Save yourself from this nightmare and go somewhere else after dinner!
The drinks are outrageously priced and the place can barely attract enough customers for the dance floor to be any fun. My wife orderd a $5 mixed drink and i orderd a typically cheap beer, they handed us two small solo cups and a bill of $16. So a tiny cup of beer is nearly $11. Dont pay that much just becouse these guys tell you not charging a cover is some sort of deal for this trash place.
Unprofessional, sloppy, careless, unimpressive, terrible, horrible, never coming back, bouncers are unbelievably rude, I wish I could say something good about this place but I can’t.
The bartenders make a game out of you trying to order a drink---they look you directly in the eyes and pretend they dont see you (even though you are flashing your credit card in their face). Why people come back here every weekend is a mystery to me.
The rooftop is a hidden gem in Arlington. I hesitate to write this because all rooftops in Arlington are PACKED but this is the largest one and its always just pleasantly full. Its because the downstairs club has a trashy reputation, but the rooftop is a totally different world. I got some strange looks when I chose this place for my 31st birthday but I knew it was nice out, and this is the only rooftop where the whole group wouldnt have to stand shoulder to shoulder
Not going to a place where I have to negotiate a cover charge. Either enforce cover or don’t at all. Workers are rude and unprofessional. Drinks are weak and over priced and the music is horrible. Save your time and think twice before visiting.
They need to play better music on the first floor. The rooftop area closes way too early. They were kicking people out at 1:10!!! A nice place for happy hours and pregaming but I would prefer D.C. if you really want to party....
Im a good patron of bars and restaurants. Everywhere I go I tip more than 20% and Im polite and I never cause a fuss. Im just tired of the bad service I get in Clarendon, this is one of many places that just stinks. Its just annoying being hassled by these places.
My least favorite bar of all time. Drinks that are weak, extremely overpriced, and most of the bar is a sweaty moshy dance floor. My friends have dragged me here more times than I care to admit, and I hate it more and more each time I go. I feel like scenes of jersey shore could have been filmed here. If I die and dont get in to heaven, I suspect Hades will have a Clarendon Ballroom waiting to torture me for the rest of eternity.
Deserves to be shut down or a complete firing of staff. this place caused a concussion on my friend who is a tiny 100lb female when the bouncer slammed her into the floor and choked her over a minor issue. police did nothing and victim blamed. after reading reviews i see this is not a one time occurence. everyone in charge should be ashamed of themselves with how it is being run. absolutely disgusting
I guess since they are closing down and switching to a different place, bouncers are so rude and dont care about treating people in a good way. I am worried now about my friend as he is suffering from PTSD from being kicked out for no reason. summery, dont go there at all costs !
The rooftop bar seemed passable, but the actual dance floor and bar area wasnt anything special. It gave me the vibe of a middle school dance. You might do better for a special event there, but go elsewhere for dancing.
TLDR ~ A non-violent, sober, well dressed, paying customer was denied readmission to the Ballroom after smoking outside and was never given a reason as to why his reentry was denied.I went out to the Clarendon Ballroom with a group of friends. As I was coming straight from work I was easily well dressed enough for the Ballroom’s rather lax dress code. We entered, paid the cover, got our reentry stamps and went to the bar. After about two beers I excused myself and went to the restroom downstairs and then stepped outside for a smoke. It was still relatively early, about 10:30 as the DJ had only been playing for about a half hour. I stood outside in the rain, had my smoke and then went to go back inside. This is where the fun began. When I tried to get back inside the bouncer informed me that there was no reentry that evening. This seemed strange to me as the Ballroom has always let people out to smoke and come back in, but as I was the only one outside at that time it made sense. At this point, of course my phone had died so I took a cab back to my car, which was parked in Shirlington. I plugged it in and waited for it to charge. As it charged I drove back to Ballston as at this point my friends inside had no idea where I was. As I drove past the Ballroom I saw them outside smoking and thought “Aha! They will not be able to reenter either and we can then go somewhere else.”After I parked I walked up to the Ballroom and my friends were not out front, and had sent numerous texts asking where I was. At this point in the evening there was a good crowd of smokers outside and they were filtering in back and forth. I walked up to the bouncer to show him my ID again as there was only two people in line waiting to pay the cover. He immediately became irate and said something to the effect of “I already kicked you out once this evening.” This revelation was news to me. I immediately asked to speak to a manager. The bouncer got on the radio and called him over. The manager, named AJ, came over and stepped outside to talk to me. I asked his name shook his hand and he asked how he could help me. I explained the situation and asked why I was “kicked out” from the ballroom. At this point he had been talking to me for a few minutes and could see that I was calm and obviously not drunk. He stated that staff had kicked me out and that I could “try us again another evening.” I asked which staff had kicked me out and he responded with a terse “Staff.” He then simply walked away.Needless to say at this point I was perplexed. I kept my cool and waited for my friends to come out to have another smoke. When they did I explained the situation and they asked the bouncer why I was not allowed back in and he stated that he did not know and that he was simply following orders.I am very confused as to exactly what happened last evening. Was there anything I could have done to make this situation better? I realize that once they make the decision to kick you out you are not getting back in, but there was no apology or explanation. The whole thing seemed arbitrary and random.
Went here for the Arlington Public Librarys event, the Muggle Ball! I love the Art Deco style and the bar. Felt like you were stepping on to a 1920s period movie set--at least, when you went past the curtains. The lobby/entrance area isnt impressive and is generally pretty bare. However, the actual dance floor and bar would be an excellent place to hold a speakeasy or Great Gatsby party. Could use a better coat check.
My friends had a beautiful wedding reception on the rooftop and in the main ballroom. I never thought about this location as a wedding reception but it was classy and fun! The bartenders were quick and the food was great too. 👍👍
Love, love, love this place!! My now husband And I celebrated our wedding reception in April at Clarendon Ballroom and couldnt have been happier with the outcome. From day one Sandra made us feel at ease. She wanted to make us happy. She was helpful and understanding at every stage in the process. She responded swiftly to every question and was very flexible with all our choices.Clarendon ballroom provides tables, chairs, and linens and has their own onsite caterer.Everything was beautifully done. The food was to die for!! We had cocktail hour on the rooftop and had an amazing assortment of food. Anti pasta for the Italians lots of passed appetizers and our favorite Korean chicken served in Chinese food boxes!!Katia managed the event the night of and the service was impeccable. Our main courses were delicious and we are told from guests that had the filet mignon it could be cut with a butter knife. One of our guests runs a catering company out of state and stated this was the best food he ever had!A nice touch is they include a doorman to make sure the Clarendon bar hoppers dont wedding crash on your private event.I could go on and on! I highly recommend Clarendon Ballroom!! Do not hesitate to go with Clarendon Ballroom for all your wedding/big event reception needs!
I looooove Clarendon ballroom rooftop! The happy hour is the best! I love getting mojitos there and I really appreciate how Miguel and TT make them! They muddle the mint leave in the metal cup and shake it up very well instead oh just throwing everything in a cup with extra simple syrup like most places do. They really did such a great job and they were bother extremely friendly even when it was super busy!
Owner is a 50+ year old man inviting teenager girls to his VIP section giving them drinks that somehow make them go from sober to drunk in one drink....
Discrimination Policy. Please work on it. Cancelling events because of people urging you to is like not allowing a certain type of person at your venue because of people urging you to. Highly Disgusted, been here once its nice and all, just not for humans.
People will pick pocket you!! Don’t go there if you don’t want phone, wallet, etc. stolen out of your pockets! It has happened multiple times over the last few weeks and no PSA, no security interference, nothing.
My prom was held here. Its definitely more fun for the younger crowd. I went here a few years ago and it was definitely too crowded and the dance floor was a hot, sweaty mess
The Clarendon Ballroom is the most exciting place to have a party. I had my bachelorette party here on July 10, 2015 I was so impressed with the customer service I received. This was the most fun Ive had in a long time. The DJ was outstanding and will keep you on the floor. I will be planning more parties in the future at the Clarendon Ballroom. Thank you to all the staff at the Clarendon Ballroom for making my bachelorette party the best ever.
If you want to take people dancing its a good place to go. The drinks are slightly expensive and theres definitely better places to go for a sit and drink, but probably one of the better places in Clarendon.
Good atmosphere on rooftop, bad drinks/bartenders have limited experience and ingredients.
If Clarendon will not honor its commitments, dont go! Cancelled reservation four weeks in advance. Had to find another place even though they had agreed to hosting our party. Dont patronize!!
Came here for an event called CityWide, hosted by McLean Bible Church. Clarendon Ballroom provided food and drinks (mostly sodas). I cant really speak to the nightclub scene, but for this event, it seemed to be well managed by the staff working the event. The food was changed out for freshness pretty regularly, and the guac and queso were pretty good.
In theory this could be a great place: its architecturally very interesting and has enough space to boast a sizable dance floor and roof deck. Unfortunately it gets routinely filled with all of my least favorite people...
There was a blonde girl who pushed my friend and I. The bouncer came and looked for the girl, but since she apologized with a gloat on her face and was with six friends instead of our four the bouncer let her stay.
Got kicked out of the club for literally sitting down. I was relaxing and someone came over and chucked me out. It made no sense.
Do not go here the security has anger issues and are racist against any women who are not black absolutely do not give your business to this place go to spider Kelly’s instead.
Ladies at the front checking IDs has an attitude that really kills your vibe and makes you want to go back home… like get another job if you don’t like the one you have
Could be good if they didnt go out of their way to hire the worst DJs in the DMV.
Old school Clarendon Ballroom. Had to visit one more time before their closing. Some great 👍🏽 and not so great memories from this location. Overall it was a constant through my 20’s and. 30’s.
Awsome!
Pretty deplorable how you folks treated the Deploraball event. I will definitely spread the word how anti Trump you folks are. What a horrible way to treat your customers.
Fun bar with lively entertainment and a good, young crowd. Drinks are pretty expensive though, around $6-8 for simple rail cocktails
My wife and I love to close the night out at the Ballroom on parents night out. So does Dick Cheney, who hosted a Mitt Romney fundraiser here in 2012.
Great places for events and dance parties but the drink specials are pretty bad for the area. Who sells PBR for $5 and makes it sound like a deal?
Three floors to choose from. Women plenty. Good strong drinks. Live bands on middle floor was a pleasant surprise
Hi i was hoping to contact someone as i can’t find any number or website for the establishment. I’m inquiring about a lost wallet that i might have left at Ballroom on Saturday night.
Its nice. I wish they would play better music, though. A lot of 2000-2004 music. The food and drinks are great.
Went here for new year’s eve and had my phone stolen. All the employees and security were extremely rude with bad attitudes. Will never be going back.
Lol. This place is a clown show. Anyone that goes here is a beta.
The is my favorite go to place. I always have lots of fun here.P.S check the website before you go it may be closed due to a private party
I love this place. I met my husband here. We love going back even now. Thanks Clarendon Ballroom for bringing us together!
Awful place, servers are terrible and rude, bouncers have an ego
Horrible atmosphere and insanely rude bouncers
The security guards here will defend themselves before they defend you. They are terrible people. Do not go to this bar.
Place is literally the worst. Security is overly aggressive and body slam people to the floor for no reason. All the reviews are true. DO NOT GO HERE!!
Hates conservatives or at the very least they get cowed by mean angry liberals. At least conservatives dont threaten liberal events. This place needs to close.
I had prom here. Was kind of a let down. Then again so far so is life. Good Shirley temples though.
Beautiful venue but unfortunately I will not be attending events there due to managements intolerance of all citizens.
I paid $29 for a reservation and they refused to let me in said I was drunk when I was dead sober
Cover is insane for what youre getting. If you want to dance and smell weed, go to Echostage.
Dont plan on being served here if you are a conservative. Im glad the effects of there pathetic actions appear to be YUGEEE, how wonderful.
The place is trash, the owners are trash avoid going there at any cost. This establishment will be out of business soon.
I got thrown out for not tiping after I spent almost 200 dollars in 2 hours on the place
Rude af, bouncers think theyre john wick smh
Josh is amazing and found my phone so I will forever be grateful!!!
One star for being rude on the phone. Some lady picked up and had the worst attitude , so we went to a place down the street
Says the close at 2:00am, made us throw out our drinks at 1:15am.
Dont order drinks here. Absolute rip-off.
Should honor agreements even if they werent signed you gave a man your word and backed out - very cowardice
Upstairs has poor bar seating. Bar selection below average.
Never will we give our business to this place. WARNING******* do not go here.
A popular venue for events and dancing, with respectable, inexpensive food. across the street from the clarendon metro stop.
Its best to come here with a crowd. They have live music and other events all year.
Great spot on the weekends with a rooftop. Great music for all crowds.
I head straight to the roof. Good drinks and a nice atmosphere.
Nice rooftop but bartender up there isnt the greatest
My niece got married here beautiful wedding gorgeous
Tied to charge me $20 to personal Venmo in rain, really ?
Best bar food in Arlington
Music left something to be desired on a Friday night, Dec 9th.
Not a good experience, like being in a hot bath house and you cant breathe!
Tried to charged me $20 to their personal venmo
Staff are super rude. Zero stars.
Make sure you only vote Democrat, if you want to get service here.
$5 cover for great DJs
It was fun and staff were nice.
Love the vibe every time I go
Curtains are not really good partitions...
Bro central. But, the staff is super cool
Beautiful decor and great staff
Free cigs in the bathroom!!
One of my favorite spots to go

Great Place.
Beers and dancing
This is my goto spot
This place SUCKS
The music sucks !! Great atmosphere and service!! The DJ played old house music from 10 years ago. Im from NY and just wanted to here some Kendrick, drake and the latest music on radio. But what I heard was kids bop!!! This place really needs more diversity like in the DC area. I love the security team tho!!!
