Really love this bar, it may be a little small but the bartenders are all kind and friendly. Also pretty quick with serving the drinks. Been here multiple times and have never had an issue. It has such a comfortable environment. Definitely would recommend to friends.

This is the last place for cheap drink in North Texas as far as I can tell. The bar staff is great. Jordyn and Nina are great. they make a mean burger, too. The cheap drinks and the pool tables seem to be the main draw. Its a nice little sense of local community here.

A good place to go somewhere quiet. I’m not sure if anyone knows about this place. Pool tables, music , and karaoke. If you’re looking for a nice quiet bar, try this one out.Picture of nachos. Not bad , made with Doritos chips.

I ordered wings & cheese sticks. They were both very good. The beer was cold & my liquor shot was on point! Thanks to my favorite bartender, ANGEL!

Showdown was cool. Jordyn was sweet and took care of the customers, and the locals were all friendly. They have shuffleboard and 2 pool tables and some other games. Another thing, Ive never seen this in a bar before, was a coin op washer/dryer so you can run a load of laundry while youre hanging out. What a great idea. I had a good time here waiting for a thunderstorm to blow over.

Had an awesome experience there. The bartender, Miss Jordan, is a delightful person and was the cook also. She makes a badass burger! 10 out of 10. I highly recommend this bar and their food.

Never coming here again because the rude guy I spoke to. If I could give zero stars I would.

The American equivalent of an old pub in London, this place is as unique as they come, and has been on camp Bowie for 50 years. Quintessential dive bar and you will not find any other bar like it.

Jordan is more interested in talking to her friends than taking care of people. Also it states no food or drinks on the pool tables but she allows it.

Love this place! Cheap drinks, billiards, Foosball, shuffle board, darts, karaoke, and a beautiful back patio. Fun vibes found here for all ages (aside from minors) don’t forget to check out the food and new professional chef.

This was the third time we visited the Showdown Saloon. We love the comfort and nostalgia this place brings. The fact that it’s an older facility doesn’t take away from anything. It’s clean, well-swept, and polished as could be. It’s a very nice place to go.The only thing that’s holding this place in the rut that it’s been in is the help. With the exception of Angel, the bartenders have been nothing but offensive. I blame the owner. The POS system was down tonight and I felt bad for the help. Poor Nina must have been exhausted. She had a complete and utter meltdown. Unacceptable. Where is the owner??? From the moment we walked in tonight, we were nothing but an inconvenience. Where is the owner??? This facility runs at 60%. What a shame.I will miss the Showdown Saloon.

Friendly staff & patrons. Has two pool tables, foose ball table darts & shuffle board. Good hot food to order. Prices reasonable. Been going there since 1986 and since I was in town for my daughters wedding, couldnt pass up the opportunity to meet a dear old friend there while I had an hour to spare.

Best bar in DFW Jordyn, Nina, Val, Angel and Alex are always the best!

A perfect dive bar since the end of the 70s. You wanna drink and have a good time. This is the place. Bartenders are generous

Angel is a top tier bartender. Easily one of the best Ive ever had the pleasure of being served by. Incredibly reasonable prices and a great outdoor patio!

Im from South Austin and I enjoy dive bars. This place definitely has character in the decor. Service and conversation was great thanks to the awesomely amazing bartender Rachel! Ill definitely be coming back when Im in town visiting family and hopefully Rachel will be serving!

Mixed review for me. I just moved to the area and Googled the closest dive bar and this one is right around the corner because I love dive bars. Great atmosphere and friendly bartender and some cool customers. Unfortunately some of the regulars were not too friendly. Im Hispanic just moved from the city (Dallas). One regular asked my nationality, another when I told him I was from Dallas asked with hand jesters am I from Oak Cliff or Pleasant Grove ( Predominantly Hispanic neighborhoods). I advised Im from North Dallas. Went to patio and had sports discussion with a gentleman and I thought all was well. Paid my bill and when I was in the parking lot the same gentleman said alright ese after I told him my name earlier. I got out my car to tell him thats not cool, thats when I realized I came to the wrong bar. I actually bought multiple rounds for customers to show appreciation but got burned. Basically ok bar but I wasnt welcomed, guess I will have to drive a little out of the way to enjoy my self in my new town.

Great dive bar in Arlington for over 30yrs! Heather is an awesome bartender! Menu has had a upgrade and so has the food! Good bar food and hamburgers are fantastic for a bar like Showdown. Go check it out!!

Great bar, almost never too busy, generally quiet. Indoor smoking, two pool tables, pleasant patio, great atmosphere and amicable well trained bartenders. They also have Angry Orchard on draft, my favourite beer.

Amazing staff! Ive been com9ng here for the past 7 years and its the best. Pool, darts, and shuffle board. Plus, they do free night for games. Cheap drink prices are hard to beat on top of the convenience of being close to UT A.

Okay for a dive bar. Lack of lighting on the back patio. Way too many people smoking inside that it simply didnt feel safe to be in there too long. They ran out of vodka before midnight. If I had to describe the crowd in there, I would say it was the opposite of trendy. The bartender was very nice. Music is on a machine that you have to pay for. But the Saturday that I went there was a pretty solid food truck right outside.

This is a good little bar. It has a couple of 7 foot pool tables, shuffleboard table and a nice outdoor patio in the back. We have had great service from any bartender that has served us. A good mix of people in age and race. We love to go during football season. They have some diehard Cowboys fans. #cowboysnation

Went here for my first time since relocating here in November. I called in advance of going and jokingly told the guy that I was looking for a place to Put my Redneck On, he laughed and said come on. I went and really had a good time. There was one female regular there and she really helped me feel at home. Taz, I guess the manager was a great guy and not to take away from the bartenders but I wont let anyone but him fix my drinks, HE IS GREAT. I would recommend this place to ANYONE whether local or like myself, An Implanted Texan. Keep up the good work people!!!

A great little place not to busy. Offer a great selection and the prices are great spent like $13 for a bottle beer and 2 jack and cokes not included the tip.

We have gone there for a long while and everytime there is different people working. Some nice some rude. I like to go in and and see the same faces. Also if you do not pay for music you get none. We had to turn on our music on our phone. We love the prices and place but staff sucks. We are hoping it gets better.

Well lets see. Typical dive bar. I originally really liked this bar, I was coming here for about a week playing pool with my wife no problem. The drinks had a weak pour to say the least but they were cheap so it was ok. Well I came here one weekday afternoon as I have many times before to shoot some pool and have some drinks. I go up to the pool table and I was informed by one of the regulars whom I have seen there many times before that I had his pool stick and I have to write my name on the board and wait in line to play pool. Um ok? Didnt have to do that before, but I went ahead and complied and gave the man back his stick. Sitting there waiting, another guy Ive seen there before came stammering up to me clearly wasted and began telling me racist jokes. He continued doing this for about an hour, all the while nobody was playing pool, yet I was still before 3 or 4 names so I wasnt allowed to play. We wont be coming back.

Just an old school Arlington Bar, been around a long time. Couple of pool tables, darts, smoking patio, friendly staff and lots of Regulars. Drinks/Beer at a fair price and even have a washer & dryer so you can drink, play pool and wash a load of clothes. Fun place.

I thought the bartender Angel was fantastic. She was drop dead gorgeous,friendly,personable,and fun.I almost fell in love.Give her 6 stars.Beer was pricey but worth the fun,overall 5 stars.

They need to hire a good cook. Dont get me wrong neighborhood bar. So if they get real beef quesadilla not hamburger patty and real chilly not spaghetti little spicy SAUCE LOL.Other than that its a good happy hour. Better put food on stomach before you get there LOL🙏

Guys you need to get appointment for hair cut. I recommend to go for Ali who works there during week days. He trims your hair as you say and he is professional at this field. $17 + tips.Great service.

I really like coming here for the company. It is a bar of regulars and everyone is friendly. If you want a good drink with great company this is it. You can smoke inside though so you will drink later.

My boyfriend and I found show downs saloon awhile back and weve made it our second home bar. Its so close to where we live, no matter where we go I have to stop in and see Jordyn before going home. She makes the best bloody marys in the metro plex. She knows exactly how I like them and has taught Shonya how to make them too! I never have to wait for a drink and the service is excellent! Come on out, you wont be disappointed!!!!!

We played pool league the other night, the seating for visiting teams SUCKS, only two cushioned chairs and a dam picnic table!!!! I won’t be back !!!!!!

The bartender, Bobby was not attentive at all. I had to wait way too long between drinks. Then he threw a fit because he had to change a keg. Oooooo so hard to do ones job. If he doesnt like to change kegs or wait on people in a timely manner maybe he should choose a different occupation.

So Ive been drinking at a showdown (lived in two cities with one) for 5 years now. I have a mug (get a mug). Its wonderful. The beer works every single time.

Just a local dive bar, nice staff. They section off a quarter of the place for a dog one week, accept no dogs the next. Very hard to come here not knowing what to expect.

Friendly relaxed crowd. Great bartenders, good music, and reasonable drink prices. Always have a great time there!

I took my girlfriend and there was a guy harassing her. I told him to stop and go away and he still keep on. I told the bar and they say he does it all the time. The next day i tell the owner and he said if i dont like it we need to go. So im sure take creep is still there

Always a good time. Met a bunch of good people here and now it is my main go to for a night out. Nothing like walking in and made to feel welcome. Best little secret in town.

I have been going there for 4 years now until I was barred for a man throwing me across the ground and my friend being jumped by 3 guys.. We are not only barred we are barred for life.... We called and talked with the owner to see if he would lift the bar and he ( Dennis the owner) said no and hung up on us... At any given time I had 5 to 10 friends of mine meet me up there every Friday and Saturday night, I sure hope you can afford to lose all that business.. The owner is rude and not very business like!!

Cheap drinks nice atmosphere, and my wife works there so what else can I say but try it out if you like small bars without all the drama and high prices as other bars

Just a neighborhood watering hole that has been a fixture in Arlington since the 70s (maybe longer) with the cheapest beer and drink prices. Originally a college bar but now just another bar where everyone knows your name
