The Salt Spa of Asheville & Himalayan Salt Cave Sanctuary

I came here on a whim while looking for a cool date location. Im not sure if I believe in the healing/spiritual properties of salt, but I had the best time and it was probably one of the most romantic dates I had been on. If you rent out the private salt cave you get an hour to just sit and relax in the salt room and it was honestly really therapeutic and relaxing. My girlfriend and I almost fell asleep just resting and relaxing on the salt! We will definitely be back one day in the future. Highly recommend at least giving it a try if youre curious.

Great experience!! We loved the halotherapy. It relaxed some of us, and energized others. All around, the experience put us in happy moods. The salt cave is beautiful and serene, and the relaxation room has awesome floor salt lamps to rest your feet. Ines, the owner, is very knowledgeable and willing to educate her clients. 💜

My husband and I booked the private Salt Therapy in the salt cave with the added heated mats. It was a beautiful salt cave, where we relaxed in zero gravity chairs on our heated bio mats. It was a wonderful, unique experience where we both felt deep relaxation and the benefits of the salt therapy. My husband was actually suffering with some seasonal allergies when we arrived and within a few hours after the treatment they were completely gone and did not return during the rest of our stay in Asheville. We scheduled a couples massage in the salt cave. It was one of the most therapeutic massages I have ever had! From the time we walked in, everything was professional and relaxing. I highly recommend!!!

Thee BEST time ever!! My boyfriend and I traveled from SC, and the Salt Cave sounded very intriguing to us. We reserved the BLISSTIME spa, and Im telling you, it was a great experience. Windy, our therapist, was welcoming and had our minds and bodies at ease the entire time. After our session, we were determined to go back to Asheville, and experience the Salt Cave again! It is definitely a must try!!

Absolutely 5 stars. The salt cave was beyond beautiful, pictures do not do it justice. This was the first massage I’d had in a salt cave, and the Halotherapy was a pleasant surprise. Extremely helpful and informative staff, and wonderful selection of products and great options of essential oils. The environment alone is worth a visit, and my massage with Ms. Wendy exceeded every expectation I had, and I was so pleasantly comfortable and she truly knew where to target every aching muscle in my back and shoulders. I cannot recommend The Salt Spa of Asheville more. 10/10 experience.

Almost $600 for a couples massage? That salt cave mustve dehydrated someones brain to come up with those prices. Edit: AND THEY ASK YOU TO TIP AFTER TOO. Where did my $600 go? The tip is in there somewhere.

The spa has new chairs which are very comfortable. Theyve also changed from a more group setting in the main cave to an individual focus. My wife and I experienced the same calm and therapeutic experience as before but having the room to ourselves was more peaceful. Overall excellent experience!

My massage with Mia was extremely relaxing and therapeutic. The atmosphere was calm and welcoming from the moment you walked in. Everything was clean throughout the building and I even bought a very nice salt lamp. I will be returning for another massage!

My boyfriend and I got a couples massage in the salt cave and it was divine. We enjoyed our deep tissue massages lying over heated chakra gemstone mats as a lovely aromatherapy oil was used. It was healing, relaxing and definitely worth going back for. Strongly recommend treating yourself.

Top notch!Ive experienced many spa treatments from a variety of spas all over the world. Yet I hadnt experienced a salt cave massage until now. It was worth every penny. The atmosphere was calming and therapeutic. My massage therapist was one of the best Ive ever had. I will be back when I return to Asheville.

My friend and I visited here for a girl’s weekend. The ambiance was delightful and relaxing. The staff was lovely and extremely accommodating. Windy performed both of our massages and OMG……words can not describe what an outstanding masseuse she is…….. truly magical!!! We loved it so much that we booked again the following day. My Mom and I came here to enjoy the salt and sound experience. We absolutely enjoyed everything about this experience. We came to Asheville to relax and relax we did! We enjoyed the zero gravity chair in the salt cave, but found the sound table to be especially therapeutic, able to completely relax and breathe in the beneficial qualities of the salt. After the experience, my mom and I truly felt rejuvenated, able to breathe easier, no more tension or tightness in our bodies and completely relaxed in the body and mind. The atmosphere and ambience was what made the experience so much more beneficial. A blanket is provided throughout the experience and water is provided afterwards. The customer service was amazing and my mom and I cant wait to visit Asheville again for another truly refreshing experience!

My first visit was amazing! I was having a tough day filled with anxiety and brain fog. The Universe directed me to The Salt Spa and as usual, it was the best thing I could do to rebalance myself. Rita was so warm and welcoming and made my visit even more enjoyable. I havent felt the peace I experienced here in many Moons... I felt no pain, my anxiety dissipated and clarity returned to me. I had a 90-minute relaxing message in the Salt Cave with Wendy. It was a gift for my 40th birthday. It was a truly incredible massage and experience. The music, the essential oil blend, and the atmosphere were just what I needed. Wendy is very skilled and gifted. I have had many massages in my life and this was the best. I highly recommend this.

I’ve been going to this small slice of heaven, for the past eight years. I began with the salt / halo-therapy. It offered amazing relief from seasonal sinus allergies and other lung issues. On a recent visit to Asheville, I booked a “Bliss-time” massage with Windy, in the salt cave. In all honesty, this has to be one of the best massages I have ever experienced. The massage therpist was intuitive and really took note of where my stress points were - a marvelous retreat for all the senses!Many thanks for the healing touch~Bethe

Windy was wonderful. The warm chakra bed help you sweat, which gets more toxins out as you get the massage. She found places that I didn’t know were causing pain in other places. While I got my massage, my husband was in the acoustic bed. Then we switched. The acoustic therapy was so much more than I expected. This was our second visit. It’s been about 5 years. We won’t wait that long again. This will be a stop for each trip to Asheville

I thoroughly enjoyed my first visit here. I have had 1000s of massages and this was truly one of the top. It was also my first time on the vibroacoustic therapy table, which was very relaxing and a meditative experience. The staff is very warm and welcoming. My husband and I went here yesterday for a 2 hour bliss session with Katherine for some serious relaxation for our wedding anniversary. Walked in and greeted by Brad who was ready and waiting for us. He’s super friendly and very hospitable. To match that, the waiting area is calming, smells soothing, well lit with various Himalayan salt lamps and very well decorated. Our massage was in a private salt room which was super calming and relaxing. The salt bed is a little firm but after laying there for a few minutes the salt, heat and soothing sounds had me sleeping. The massage was absolutely perfect too! Katherine’s hands worked magic on me and my husband! Needless to say we were very pleased with the staff and this space. After the massage we relaxed sipping hot herbal tea and rested our feet on heated Himalayan salt rests. We highly recommend this place!!

I had put this on bucket list 5yrs ago and finally can check it off. It was well worth the wait. My Reikii experience with Rita was phenomenal! Can’t wait to come back again- The whole experience is Awesome, the staff is Amazing and very friendly. I drove 2.5hrs each way; and will do it again Happily. Absolutely amazing! We did the couples massage & sound therapy. It was phenomenal. It was my first experience on a sound table & it was so cool! The massage was wonderful, I wish we could remember our ladies name, she was outstanding. The facility was clean, and open. I would definitely recommend this place!

This was an amazing experience and I look forward to coming back as soon as I can. We booked kinda late, so only got the frequency therapy and vibro-acoustic therapy. It was great, but would like to try some other services. The staff was very friendly and we got the sphere lamp so we could use it for our feet like they had us do before the therapy started.

Absolutely wonderful experience! I went for relaxation as well as therapeutic benefits (asthma). Such peace and serenity from a 45 minute salt cave. Atmosphere is very conducive to relaxation…from the aromatherapy to the meditation calming music. Will definitely be back.

My husband and I visited the salt spa recently while on our honeymoon. We actually had a different appointment time scheduled buy had to cut our honeymoon short due to Hurricane Florence. They were flexible in penciling us in last minute on an earlier day. I cant say that Ive ever had a had massage experience, but the ambiance in the salt room heightened the experience far above regular massages. Highly recommend-- the ladies there are kind, professional, and certainly gifted massuers. we will definitely be back next time we go to Asheville.

Overall, I had a wonderful experience!The staff was very nice, knowledgeable, and patient. The salt room was absolutely gorgeous. Very cozy and soothing. I almost fell asleep 3 times!!The sound machine caught me off guard but I got used to it. I was lucky because I was the only person in the salt room so it was super quiet. The salt rock for your feet and tea at the end was a great addition. Ill be returning for sure!

We visited Saturday, 02/22, for a Blisstime package. One of us received a massage while the other relaxed on the salt table. The salt table was so relaxing, like being on a beach and the deep tissue massage was just what I needed to unravel all my knots, release tension and move some stagnant lymph around. After the session, we relaxed in the lounge area. We warmed our feet on the salt dome lamps and sipped some hot tea. It truly was wonderful and a one of a kind experience.

My husband treated me to a couples 45 minute salt therapy and we absolutely love it! So incredibly relaxing and the perfect way to destress from the world. We loved the session so much that we wanted to book for the next day, but they had no available slots. This is a must go to in my opinion when traveling to Asheville!

What a wonderful, deeply relaxing and healing experience a session at the salt cave can provide! The staff is so knowledgeable, gracious, and accommodating to their guests. I always look forward to visiting and always feel so much better after a session. At first I started going for the benefits to my sinuses and I quickly realized that I was benefiting not just my sinuses but my body, mind and spirit. Grateful for this conscious business!

It was so nice and relaxing we drove from Greenville SC and it was completely worth it. They let you book over the phone without charging you instantly. So I will definitely make the drive again. I love the small heat pillows they give you when your in the salt cave. It felt really nice and I think all of us slept too. Everyone was super sweet!! No phones are allowed in the cave they go in a locker with your belongings.

My boyfriend and I received a couples massage in the salt room and it was a wonderful experience from the time we were greeted walking in to the time we walked out. I was given my massage by Heather and she was so kind and considerate. We were so relaxed afterwards. I would definitely return my next time in town!

Every time I go to the Salt Spa of Asheville, something clears up for me. Often many things will be clearer when I leave! My seasonal congestion, my lungs, my mental fog. I went in just for a quick visit to see what services they had to offer. You can have therapy in the salt cave room, get a massage and they offer alot of different sizes of lamps, eye pillows and salt stones in the front to purchase.

The best massage I have had since I had a specialized pregnancy massage in NYC in 2007. The salt room for meditation was amazing!

Visited the salt spa today for the first time with a friend, we enjoyed the salt room for 45 minutes then enjoyed a 60 minute foot reflexology massage both were absolutely amazing... the staff were very friendly, Will certainly return soon....

Rude man at the front desk was very condescending, I think it had something to do with our dress even after we explained that we had driven over 500 miles that day and so would obviously look disheveled and be wearing reasonably comfortable clothing, and was just looking to get a massage after a long day of travel we were turned down because I am a smoker and were not made aware of those restrictions until after we had already filled out the paperwork

I was experiencing jet lag and poor sleep, but after just one session in the salt spa, I slept like a baby. Very rejuvenating!

If u want to waste 35 dollars to lay almost upside down in a room full of epson salt. go for it. id rather lay in my bed and just closse my eyes. total waste of money and time....
