Fave new spot! Love the eclectic atmosphere, and the Asian fusion food is 10 out of 10. Bartenders are really good, and staff is super polite. The green mussels and chicken wings are delish. Great date night spot or place to have a birthday dinner/event. Can’t wait to frequent here during the Summer!
The portions here are very small for the price. The small plates/apps we ordered came with three pieces. The dim sum platter is not worth it - only one or two of the items on the platter were good, the rest were freezer aisle quality. Highlights were the crying tiger steak and crab rangoon. Service was great and ambiance was good. This seems like a good place for small parties to get apps and drinks.
Our server Davonte was exceptional! We really enjoyed the vegetable fried rice, crispy wings and spicy Szechuan string beans. We were not fans of the miso soup or lemon drop. Both tasted a little watered down. The location is beautiful and I’m sure probably has a really fun atmosphere later in the evening we went around 7pm on a Tuesday and it was pretty empty but hoping to come back on a busier night and update review
Nice bar in a dim atmosphere with good music. They have a bar and tables downstairs and a more intimate small lounge area upstairs with a DJ.Food tasted good however portions were super small and overpriced for the size. Came here on a Monday night, the waiters were nice but service was extremely slow (waited 45mins - 1,5hrs which is not acceptable). Not sure if Ill be back...
If you’re looking for a spot that has it all, Bar Diver is the place to be! The decor is super dope, setting the perfect vibe from the moment you walk in. The food is incredible—everything I tried was delicious. I had the garlic wings, Thai basil fried rice, shrimp Rangoon, and pork belly with string beans, and every bite was on point. Our server, Devin, was amazing—she took care of us with top-notch service and made sure everything went smoothly. Big salute 💯 to Devin for making the night special. After dinner, we headed upstairs where the DJ was spinning, and Kenny, the bartender, kept the drinks flowing. Kenny was super cool and his service was just as great.Overall, Bar Diver is a vibe—whether you’re looking to chill with some drinks, enjoy a cool date night, or just hang out. Plus, the owner Richard is super friendly and personally checks in to make sure you’re having a good time. Definitely planning to return to chill again soon!
The food was not the best, but will say it was late night menu. I will go back during dinner/brunch and update. We had the shrimp Rangoon (4 out of 5 stars), beef gyoza (3 out of 5 stars), cucumber salad (1 out of stars), xo crispy wings (1 out of 5 stars). The shrimp Rangoon was the most flavorful thing, it was the perfect amount of salty, spicy, and sweet. I wish it was more than 3 pieces, which is why it’s not a perfect 5 star meal. The beef gyoza was average. Nothing too spectacular. The cucumber salad was sweet. It needed a little more vinegar and salt and it would have been perfect. Now these wings…y’all!!! They were cooked perfectly!!! But they had no seasoning!!! The wings were fried to perfection, but the batter had no seasoning and the sauce had no taste. Just a waste of a wing. The service was sub par. I felt like the bar tenders could have been a little more attentive for how un busy the bar was. The food did take a little longer to come out as well. But when we did get service, it was great. The atmosphere…one word…loud. The music does sound like a video game, which would be fine, but it was so loud I was having to yell to have a conversation with my boyfriend right beside me at the bar. Or get really close to his ear. Granted, as I said before, late night. So this could be why. I did love the art work and vibes though. I feel like maybe towards late in the night it could turn into a rave or club, so this could be part of the reason for the loud music.Overall, it was a great experience. I was expecting something a little different, because I love Girl Diver so much and I was told that the same people did Bar Diver. Will definitely come back for dinner, but don’t think it’s my type of place for a late night vibe as the music was too loud and the food was sub par. Forgot to take a picture of the shrimp rangoons, but they were the bees knees!!
I had the pleasure of dining at Bar Diver the other night. I was blown away by the food - such a flavorful and creative menu. I even had the opportunity to meet the chef. She was impressive, friendly and so humble given her talent. The service team was exceptional. Basically I don’t have enough great things to say…and I already have a reservation to back this Friday!!!
I made reservations for my birthday and they exceeded expectations. Started the night off with the Kung Fury. For dinner, I had the tiger steak—its cooked perfectly! The stars of the show were the shrimp Rangoon and chicken spring roll. Davonte was a very friendly server and I appreciate the owner checking in with us. Highly recommend this place!
This has to be one of the trendiest place to go out to dance and eat in Atlanta. This place had the perfect mix of dance floor upstairs and a semi quiet place downstairs to eat. Went with a group of 20 plus and we all had a blast. They even had a real DJ to request music! Did I mention a spinning photo booth. Then to top it off they had a lounge with comfortable sofas where we all relaxed after a night of dancing. The staff were attentive and courteous. This place has it all. Very few night spots can compare to bar diver. I was really impressed.

Please turn the music down. I had a 6:45 reservation on a Saturday and the music was BLASTING like it was 10:00. It was impossible to hear on the inside so I asked to sit in the patio area which was a little better. The lounge area is nice for bigger parties. The additional tables are way too small to accommodate food, especially tapas. The food and drinks were okay. The service was good. Spent $70 (tip is automatically included as well as a credit card fee), I had one drink, one appetizer and two small plates. FYI, small plates are just that…small. Shrimp tempura was 3 fried shrimp.
Came to visit Leo and it did not disappoint!! Love the space... great ambience and 2 stories! Had the KFC and the dumplings tapas both were great...and the sauce 🤤. Cant recall the names of our drinks but one was like a rum old fashioned and the other had a cute duck garnish! We will be back to try more libations for sure!
Finally tried this place after some time. The food could really use some work. I think people go here to drink but the espresso martini was also a bit off. I’m giving a couple stars because our server LoLo was very kind and understood our concerns. We spent over $50 on 3 dumplings, edamame and 2 drinks (which we didn’t like) so overall just not a great experience. We would’ve tipped 20% anyway but wasn’t nice that they pre-added it.
I came here just for drinks on a Saturday night. I sat at the upstairs bar and started a tab. The atmosphere, decor and music was great. However, the bartender I had definitely tried to get over on me. She poured one thing but tried to charge me for another. I called her on it and she refunded the money. I would just make sure you are specific with your order and if you are at the bar watch them pour.
Went for my bf’s birthday and had a terrible experience. Runners bringing out orders we never asked for, 30 mins between each drink and the drinks weren’t even made the same consistently. By the time we got our bill, there was so much confusion around the extra food (which we sent back and didn’t touch), we just put everything on one card and settled our tabs afterwards. It was my first time spending his birthday with him and Bar Diver made me wish we just stayed home. Try your luck somewhere else.
Dinner for 7 at 6:30. 2.5 hours later - still not done. Initial drinks took forever. They were out of a lot of cocktail ingredients. Apps came out 10 minutes apart. Entrees: ordered for 35 minutes then one person was told they were out of chicken. She opted to not order anything else then our remaining dishes arrived one minute later. When did you realize you didn’t have chicken? Service was awful. I didn’t eat because my food was sent 30 minutes after everyone else’s. Some of the check was comped but they still charged us for food we did not get. Do not recommend. This is not “working out kinks”. This is horrible service and poor management.
I came on a Monday with a RSVP for 6.Service was extremely slow.I ordered 3 separate cocktails and all were not good. The food was straight when I Finally got it.The ambiance was aesthetically nice but the music was from 2011. They need a smoother playlist to match the vibe of the place and the clientele that was in there on Monday night.I would call this place a bar over a restaurant. If they could improve the drinks it would be better.
As I’m writing this, my stomach is digesting the measly appetizer that was sent to my table after nearly 45 minutes of waiting to even have our table waited to begin with. I’m losing hope in this city when it comes to service and providing a decent experience. The DJ is the only thing keeping my experience even remotely decent. The servers are inexperienced and unorganized and desperately need a lead assisting. The ambience is nice, and so far the one singular appetizer that i was able to get was good. Other than that we had to consistently flag down our server. I’m convinced that most of the reviews are fake because everyone here is just tolerating the experience. HELP!!!! WE WANT TO LEAVE!!!!!!!!!Continued:Update, we just got “free shots” and I’m 100% sure they were mixed with water. Considering i had an empty stomach (from starving since the food took an hour to come out) one large shot should’ve atleast made me a bit tipsy. I legit forgot we even took a shot. Please get us out of here!!! Getting the check before the food is crazy, nuts, and unusual!!!!
When I say this is a vibe!!!!!! Its a VIBE!This spot is located in West Midtown.Parking is amazing and FREE! Valet parking is available and I must say it is suppppeerrr efficient.Walking into the Bar Diver is unleashing your grown and sexy.. okay! You can dress casually or sexy. The DJ is amazing! The space is two levels with patio action.I attended a friends birthday and we all crashed at the bar. I had such a blast that I did not take any photos. I was truly in the moment.I did not order food this go around. However, the drinks were great!Gooooo! This is going to be a great starting point when hanging in the city. In fact, once you hear the DJ, you may want to stay all night. Enjoy and be safe!
The food was alright. I ordered a large plate and was served a very small portion for it being considered “large.” We had to flag down our waiter just to get the bill. I would only come here for the drinks. The manager was very nice and offered us dessert for the wait time which was considerate of him! Will only be back for the bar.
I would give this place an “eh.” Probably would order the food to go but not eat in again.Cons:1. Service was TERRIBLE. Our waitress was pretty much nowhere to be found most of the night which isn’t a surprise since the gratuity is an automatic 20%… so no reason to actually work hard. Had to flag her down multiple times wanting to order more food and our drinks were empty for at least 10/15 min.2. Automatic 20% gratuity… I hate being forced to tip more than I would have tipped for poor service.3. Someone dropped a glass near our table and glass shattered everywhere including on us. No one came check to see if everything was ok and the first person who came to clean it up (guy in blue shirt who also randomly “cooked” our Wagyu at our table) only swept up the glass cup portion leaving glass shards everywhere. We asked a waiter to grab someone to get the rest to make sure no one got hurt and were completely ignored. Had to ask a third person to finally get all the glass cleaned up.4. Chicken skewers were disgusting. DO NOT order. They looked like fingers and were barely cooked with no seasoning.5. Drinks were weak.6. Food portions were so small we ended up ordering 10 shareables so we could even get close to full. The A5 Wagyu oz portions were paper thin and fatty. Don’t waste your money on those either.7. Weird small tables for a place that mostly has tapas style food to share so not really enough space for said food.8. 3% credit card fee being passed onto the customer. This should just be the cost of doing business.Pros:1. Atmosphere. The space was beautiful.2. DJ was AMAZING.3. We ordered the Dim Sum Platter, Ban Hoi, Miso Soup, Kaya Toast (This was insanely good), Fried Mushrooms, Garlic Cheese Bread (so good we ordered a second), and shrimp rangoons. All were delicious despite the small portions and would definitely order these again.Overall: The food was mostly delicious besides the two hiccups above and I just wouldn’t order those again. It’s a good place to go for a late night snack and a drink just for the atmosphere alone but nothing special. With the service being so terrible we likely wouldn’t go and dine in again and would sit at the bar.
Atmosphere is nice, but didn’t get to try the food or drinks didn’t even get a menu for about 45 mins before I left. The food portions are apparently small portions but I wouldn’t know. I did go on a Saturday night though, and didn’t make reservations, but I wasnt even greeted. So I got The small table next to the door 25 mins after arrival when It was like 20 degrees outside and the door swings open every 30 seconds. And there’s $5 valet… wish I had a better experience.
Atmosphere is a really unique cyberpunk theme and there is a variety of good drinks. However the food is way over-priced. $15 dollars for 6 wings…let that sink in, and you will be waiting for food and services.
I went here on a date and I genuinely have never had a worse experience at a restaurant. Our server greeted us and told us he would come back to take our drink order. He was gone for 30 minutes and during that time my date and I decided what we wanted for food. When he came back for our drink order we asked if we could also place an order for food and he said he would prefer to take the food order after we received our drinks (weird). It took a 55 minutes from when we sat down to when we got our drinks and we still had not ordered food. My date had to chase down the server to take our food order, we placed our order and by this time our drinks were empty. I asked if we could order more drinks and he said “the bar is very busy and it will take at least another 40 minutes to get another drink”. ?????????????? What ?????? I responded “so are you saying we cannot order a drink?” And his response was “I don’t recommend it”. So we sat with no drinks waiting for our food for an hour and a half. During that time the bar became increasingly busy to which people were getting drinks perfectly fine. We ended up canceling our food, paying for the one drink we had and walking out the restaurant hungry and disappointed. We were there for over 2 hours with the absolute worst service I have ever had in my life. I would give this place a -10 stars if I could.
Great space! Service was good in spite of new server training going on. But the food was terrible! Cold, cheap and salty. If you have high blood pressure do NOT eat here. You will have a stroke. Reminded me of something bought in the frozen section of Trader Joes or Costco.
The vibe, the food, the service, the music....everything was fantastic! This is our new favorite spot. A5 Wagyu and Dim Sum platter are my faves! Cant wait to go back!
We had been wanting to try this since it opened. We had a wonderful experiance. We got lucky annd there was no wait, our server was wonderful, even going out of the way to let us try a drink we had asked about. The food was phenomenal and we got it quickly. I highly recommend going out for date night!
The food and service were great the first time we came, but just be aware they do stop serving the full menu hours before close. Didn’t find out until after I was handed the menu and then tried to order and was notified it wasn’t being served. The “late night menu” has about 5 really limited options, none of their good stuff. It also seemed like there were so many hostesses standing around, but no one available to take orders. Pretty disappointing this go round.
Laura did an amazing job taking care of myself & our happy hour crew! She was very kind and attentive. The food and ambiance were fantastic as well!
This was our first time ever leaving a restaurant mid-meal. We had high hopes for Bar Diver. We came in on Friday night, and the place had a lively vibe. We were seated at a dirty table. Fortunately, the host swiftly addressed the issue. Yet, our server seemed a bit scattered, resulting in a lengthy wait for both attention and drinks. After about 20 mins, we finally got our cocktails, but they left much to be desired, tasting more like pure lemon juice. Our server did send the cocktail back, but I never received a fresh cocktail. The beef gyoza, our first tapas order, lacked the freshness & seemed like it was frozen. After this first tapa, every dish that came to our table was not what we had ordered. We even saw dishes that came to our table be picked up & taken to the correct table. This raises a huge concern for hygiene. After an hour of patience, the last straw was our server bringing us yet another incorrect item saying “someone else left before this was ready. Do you want me to leave it here”. At this point, still without the right food or a fixed cocktail, we requested the manager. His response was “Well I would have eaten whatever came to the table, but I will comp your drink + gyoza.” After being at the restaurant for over an hour we decided to leave and instead dine next door at El Santo Gallo which was delicious. Suffice it to say, our experience at Bar Diver fell short, with lackluster service, disappointing drinks, and underwhelming tapas portions.
I live close by and have been so excited for Bar Diver to open. I had very high hopes and was very disappointed. Though I live in walking distance, I won’t be returning. They did not have ~80% of the beverages on the menu which is fine given that they are new, but instead of relaying that information up front, we were told by our server about 15 minutes after ordering them. Once we chose from the limited selection we were now aware of, we waited another 20 minutes. By the time we received our first round of drinks (which was initially ordered upon being seated) our dinner was over and we had requested the check. During the long waiting periods, nothing was communicated to us. We actually wanted to cancel our drinks and get the hell out, but unfortunately never had an opportunity. Also, the miso soup was what I imagine the Dead Sea tastes like. And lastly, I love a tapas style restaurant, but they go above and beyond in the tiny food category. No plate had more than 3 tiny servings. I’ve never seen a spring roll that small. It would have actually been cute if it weren’t ridiculous given the price.Hoping a manager sees this as these are all problems that can be fixed and I’d like to see a neighbor business succeed.
Cheers to the bartender he needs to go somewhere else. He is doing his best.Waited over 30 min for food before I left. It was 5:00pm on a Friday and was the only people at the bar and I had to leave because the food wait time was trash. I waited 40 min before I had to leave. It was appetizers. What a joke. The manager didn’t mind talking to me. He or they were hiding after I made remarks to the bartender. It’s a wanna be night club bar.Bartender deserves a raise. This place is a night bar where you get decent drinks but trash food.Dm me owners, do better. Only rating a 2 because your bartender saved you.
Everything in these reviews about awkwardly long and unexplained wait times, x100. We received 3 dishes after much wait, and every one was a surprise. Tiny amounts of green bean, almost empty bao.. I was just left confused. The service was charming, but I wish they had something more to offer.
Cali was absolutely amazing! She was super attentive, knowledgeable, and full of personality! 12/10 experience and will absolutely be back just to see her. Food and drinks were great too. 🖤 Thanks Cali.
Tried this place on Easter Sunday!Very clean, fast service, great service, and excellent quality service!! Even got a shot on the house!! 👍🏽 We got martinis and fried shrimp bites! ( I think thats the name)But, anyway, it was a great place to try for the first time! Will be back!
The atmosphere was cool, and the service was just fine. The food on the other hand, was extremely salty and some of the items came out cold to room temperature. Definitely wouldn’t eat here again.
I really enjoyed the atmosphere, the food and the drinks (more on that shortly). I live in metro Atlanta, and don’t go to the city often. But when we (my fiancée and I) do, it’s intentional to try the new hot spots.I can say after our first visit to Bar Diver, we were definitely not let down. We came for dinner and stayed for the music and atmosphere. My fiancée and I drank Moscow mules with a vodka called St. Royale (which must be new, but was great!) and it was delicious! We’ll definitely be back!
Fantastic new age dim sum. Elevated food with great pricing and bold flavors. A cocktail menu that is bright and refreshing on any tongue. Plates and bites that excite a palate in a sharing environment. Bring your friends and enjoy your night with bar diver.
Feels like this place should sit somewhere in Miami, but we were happy to stumble in on our way to Terminal West on night. Do yourself a favor - sit at the bar, order a cocktail on the list and don’t skip the soy eggs & Kaya toast. The flavor can’t be described, but I guarantee you’ll love it.
Food was overpriced, definitely somewhat frozen. 3 of our drink glasses were cracked, place was empty. Two thumbs down.
Really cute place with good food and drinks. Service was good and attentive, Patrick was great and knowledge about the drinks! Typical Atlanta prices, but great atmosphere
This place is simply amazing! From the ambiance to the people, everything is top-notch and deserves a perfect 10 out of 10 rating. And if thats not enough, their service is truly unbeatable. You wont find a better place than this!
The drinks are amazing. Bartenders are second to none. Blake is the absolute pinnacle of what a mixologist should be. Matthew is a rockstar of a valetstars is not enough. My fiancé and I have found our new favorite bar on our very first visit. Nothing about Bar Diver will disappoint or leave you wanting. Much love.
Way cool spot! Awesome cocktails, good food, fairly priced and the ambiance is amazing! Definitely a vibe at Bar Diver.
Really cool spot. Very similar look and feel to the sister restaurant across a town. Fun, lively staff. Great music and decour. Live DJ thurs through Saturday. Food was great with the exception of a mixup in the kitchen with one of my orders. Will help fill the void left by Little Trouble. This place could become one of my regular spots. Will definitely go back.
Came to see That Guy Holden and this guy ain’t nothing. Completely rude and tried fighting over nothing. Good vibes and drinks, but Holden needs to learn some customer service if he here every night
There for birthday party and fell in love with the place. Leo, bartender extrordinair, was awesome with mixology and find right drink. Food: had almost one of everything. All was really really good. Staff so attentive. Thanks, Richard.
Went by here on the first day they opened. As a restauranteur in Atlanta, i will not rate them for the hiccups any restaurant would have when they first open. Instead i will rate their food which was amazing, and service which teddy the GM went above and beyond for us.
What an awesome spot! Took some friends here and had a great time! Food was top notch and drinks were on point.
Cool bar and great atmosphere but credit card fee? Cmon now. Stop nickel and diming your customers
Very cute and cozy bar. Great drinks, food and ambiance. Service could be better
Owner/chef/staff are well trained, awesome menu, best experience you can ever have. Great place for a night out, on date, and get together.
Place has nice atmosphere and decent choice of tapas. Chicken satay, vegetable gyoza, and patatas bravas were delicious.
Awesome spot! Got bottle service upstairs and a few appetizers. Great bathrooms too especially the counters!
I want to give a shout out Blake! The service was phenomenal and he makes the best drinks. I’ll definitely be back because of him.
First week opening! The inside looks SOOO COOL! very Futuristic Punk stylish! All the dishes are either small plates or just apps! They do have some large plates and nothing is to expensive which is the best part
Chefs are great but management is so ridiculously unprofessional. not worth eating here or working here
Richard has Done It Again!! Great staff, great Atmosphere, and Great Food! What else can you ask for! Sexy Vibe! 5 Stars Would Recommend
Came here for a birthday part and loved the atmosphere. The service was great.
Great addition to Atlanta. Food, drinks, atmosphere; all on point and fantastic.
Cool vibe. Awesome small plates. Great place to hang out with friends.
Food was awesome, staff treated us really well, and loving what they did with the space. 👍🏻
Rad new place across the street from Palo Santo. Thursday - Saturday bar open till 2am and food till midnight! Great staff and food!!!
Atmosphere is nice but several unnecessary fees added to your tab.
This place is going to be amazing. It’s just getting started so room to grow but everything we had was amazing and the management is preparing the staff very well!
This Vibes was awesome and cant wait to go back and hang out with my friends
This is a great place to meet with friends and family. The food and drinks are great here.
The manger was extremely kind and helpful.
Great spot for food, drink, and atmosphere!
Fantastic environment, friendly staff, and absolutely delicious food 👌
