THANK YOU DANNY! He was kind, quick, and his application is amazing and all the way to the cuticle. My nail shape was perfect and smooth. He checked in with me at Every step of the nail process, making sure I was happy with them. This was the first time I ever came to Universal on my sister‘s recommendation. She Loves to go to Helen and Cindy, she recommends them both. But I’m sure if you see either Danny, Helen, Cindy, or anybody else At the salon that they’ll be just as good. I have been coming to this nail salon since December of 2021 and in that time I have gotten so many amazing designs. I included some of my favorites from the last year. I have been treated so well by them and always see Amanda and Mimi. Amanda always does an amazing job on my nails and goes along with whatever design I have pulled out of my brain and google. Mimi always does an amazing pedicure and makes my toes look amazing while also helping me deal with chronic ingrown toenails. If I ever move away I will come to Auburn just to get my nails done by the two of them.

I have been going to this nail salon for many years and I have to say they do AMAZING JOB here. I am very picky when it comes to getting my nails done but they are so great for even extremely picky me.Every design I ever find on internet I show them picture or video and they do exactly the same if not better.I usually prefer Kim, she is so sweet and great but anyone you pick at their salon can do their job just as good.Highly-highly recommended.I have a whole bunch of nail salons near my house and yet I always drive here, simply because they are so great!

Best experience, staff are great, seen on short notice. Chandeliers are awesome. I love the lighting and would volunteer to learn more about the chandeliers. Danny is incredible and the others are welcoming.

I love this salon! They always get you in and will happily stay late if your service runs over time. Everyone does a great job and my nails always look beautiful! They are all very kind too, and treat everyone the same which is not always the case at other salons. Check them out for your next beauty service, you’ll be glad you did!

Eric was soo helpful with trying to figure out what would be best for my nail longevity! We decided todo a clear dip with gel on top and I absolutely love how they came out! I feel like they won’t chip and they will last until I come back! He even mixed a custom green for me He is the best!

Eric is the best at doing my nails. I am always impressed by his work. The first time he did my nails are the white and blue, today I got the black and red.

I went in for my fill and had Danny for the first time and he was great! Length and shape were perfect and look very natural. Definitely will see him again! Also Amy did my pedicure and she was great as always!

I recently got my nails done by Kim and she did FANTASTIC! I absolutely love them! She not only listened to my suggestions but recommended a few ideas — which were the best! I am glad I found my new favorite place ❤️100% recommended.

I used this salon to repair a nail so I went back for my next set. The first visit was fast, easy, comfortable. This one?The pedicure was alright. Frigid water until I pointed it out. She didnt use polish remover she just peeled thr gel polish off even when it was super attached and uncomfortable.After the pedicure, I was handed off to another woman. She filed down the old dipped and when I could SEE MY OWN NAIL I told her it was hot and painful. She got annoyed and chose to soak my nails way longer than Ive ever had to sit. (This visit was almost 3 hours for a manipedi). The set took forever and some of the clear powder was left cloudy under the top coat. (See pictures) after she was done the sides and edges are still jagged and my old polish that had been soaked off and SMEARED everywhere. I was told to scrub my hands to get the polish off at home.At this point Im just annoyed. I got to pay - 135 dollars!!!!! I signed and went to leave and this rude woman looks at me no tip????So heres your tip lady, learn good customer service and perhaps practice more on people you arent over chargining.Ugh. Never again.

Ive had my nails filled here a few times by Danny and Ive been happy every time. Its clean the chandeliers are beautiful and everyone is really nice too. Thank you!

Worst acrylic fill of my life. After only 3 days, 4 different nails had broken. Giving 2 stars as I got an awesome pedicure there and I think some of the girls might be really good, but the guy that did my nails was awful. They were extremely thin and after getting one fixed, I final had to eventually go elsewhere to get them completely re-done. Very frustrating how bad the quality was.

I got acrylic nails removed and a French gel tip put on here. The white tips are thicker on some nails than others and she seemingly missed the side of my left pinkie nail all together. At one point while cutting the acrylic nails shorter, she clipped my actual nail down to the skin because she looked over mid clip at her coworkers full on yelling.-she later blamed me for my short nail and said there was nothing she could do to shape them. Fancy decoration inside, does not provide a half decent service, will be driving ALL the way to Westwood village from now on.

2 friends and I went to the salon Mani / Pedis . We all agree that it was not only the most expensive Mani/Pedis weve ever had but also the worst! Super disappointed in the end results.polish is lumpy and 1 week later the gel polish is already chipping. If it was just one of us that was disappointed Id call it a fluke but all 3? Thats a bad salon. Even though the ladies who provided the service were very nice, lesson learned, well never go back.

This is my favorite place to get my nails done! The staff is always friendly. Keep in mind these girls are meticulous so give yourself time to get your nails done. Kim always does a great job, she is busy and does have to assist people from time to time, but she always does exactly what I want. I am happy every single time!!!!!

I love this salon! I made the mistake of trying a salon closer to my house, but ended up going to see Kim then next day and she fixed the acrylics & did an amazing job! HIGHLY recommend you get your nails done here. The staff is all so friendly! It is worth the extra drive to see them, but book an appointment ahead of time if you are getting more than just a pedicure. They are loved by many!!

I came to Universal Nails over 3 years ago when I lost an entire nail. I’d read the reviews and wasn’t sure if I wanted to drive to Auburn every time, but omg it’s been SO worth it!! I had requested Kim after reading through reviews and she is absolutely the best!! Designs or simple, she does it all so beautifully!! I’ve also had others do my nails when Kim isn’t available if I come in without an appt or if I bring my 2 daughters in and they’re all great!! As for pedis, anyone there is wonderful, but my favorite is Mimi!! She makes sure it’s always relaxing and they always turn out so cute!! Love it here!!

I was greeted by Eric at the counter and he was the person to do my acrylic nails. I had never had acrylic nails before, only manicures with polish. He did a great job! In the middle of the nails getting done, he asked me if he was doing a good job, and I said he was. I enjoyed our chat while he was doing my nails. I would highly recommend this nail salon and Eric.

I had a pedicure and full set. The pedicure was fine. The acrylic nails turned out good but the nail tech was Very rough. He was not gentle with the electric or regular nail file and I was flinching and almost pulling my hand away the whole time. The nails came out good but getting there was horrible. I would go again for pedicure but nothing with my hands and only because they were so rough.

Took my 2 daughters for their first nail spa experience. The staff was friendly and our nails turned out Beautifully! We all cant stop looking at them. 🥰 Im definitely going back, maybe a monthly girls trip.

I went in and was told to show the nail tech the picture of what I wanted. My pedicure was amazing!!! The nail tech on the other hand, if she can’t do certain styles, then she should say that and should still to what she isGood at. My nails are terrible!!! Asked for ombré and a straight black line down the middle on 4 nails only. The rest was solid color. Definitely not ombré and she couldn’t make a straight black line to save her life. I was there for 2 1/2 hours and will never recommend it go back. In addition to cutting me and making me bleed. She didn’t even wipe it off, literally stuck her tube of superglue on it to get it to stop bleeding. I’m sure she didn’t throw the tube away.Was offered a discount out 10 bucks… that was a nice gesture, not needed… but I wanted my nails to look like what I asked for. Extremely disappointed!

I got this design today 5/14 and have already had 2 bufferfly’s fall off. During my visit me and my friend decided to try a new salon and went to Universal Nels and Auburn the pedicure was good but after we got a fill and proceeded to pay they changed the price and the service turned from great to horrible do not recommend not worth 90$

I would give 1 star and the only reason Im giving 2 is because my pedicure came out nice. Whomever did my full set should not be doing nails and I highly doubt theyre licensed. The tip of my thumb nail broke off in 9 hours, half my nails are crooked, she tried to put acrylic over the residue from the old acrylic, the acrylic looks poorly done and has holes, she took forever and was really rough.I thought I was going to have a good experience because it looks so nice inside but I wont be going back.. waste of money

Horrible customer service! I had dip powder nails done yesterday and today 4 nails just came off. I went back to the salon and spoke to the manager and he said they’re all booked and can’t fix anything. I told him to give me money back then and I would go somewhere else because I didn’t want them to do my nails after this kind of service. The manager said according to their policy, he can’t return my money back. I asked him to show me the policy and he said he can’t. Very disaapointed. I won’t be coming back here again and will tell all my friends to stay away! Also, my daughter came with me to get her nails done and the lady doing her nails kept answering calls and would walk away for a long time. Worst customer service I’ve had!

7/2024 - mani/pedi is 1 way I pamper myself. Mimi takes very good care of my feet and Helen does a fabulous job with the dip powdered nail 💅 polish.

Got a pedicure and manicure both gel. Cost me 95 I tipped 10. My cuticles are on fire from being cut by the drill. My nails were chipped before I even left and they didn’t take the dried nail polish off my nails. They were friendly. But just want to upsale everything and then don’t take the time to do the little things . When I mentioned my nails bleeding she handed me 2 band aids .. thanks ..

I love getting my nails done at Universal Nails Auburn! The technician chose to help with the acrylic nail polish color for me and making them for a long time and they still look perfect. Prices and service are top notch, trust me Im very picky. Their attention to detail is amazing and she is such a sweet person. The staff is all so welcoming since the second you walk in.

Gave this shop another chance , after having a poor experience there years ago.It’s still the same , they rush you through everything. The lady who did my nails put product in my nail beds, and the nail polish is uneven.They rush through the procedure, horrible .

Clean but a little pricey for what you receive. Got a manicure and pedicure combo for $120. I feel like for this price I should get a good massage of legs and feet and walk out with no dead skin left on my heels…taking away stars due to shellac peeling off after 2 days

Overall experience was decent.The lady who did my nails was quick but there was a few issues. I have multiple cuts on both hands. I was charged $50 + tip which is decent but not with all the issues. There is a hair imbedded in one of the nails. The design is beautiful, I showed her a picture which she executed pretty well. I wanted a silver party nail and she recommended a silver line for the tips. Which I think looks amazing. I wish there was less cuts but overall would recommend going if you need a last minute nail set. Or polish.

Super disappointed two times now Ive gotten the new dipping powder done and both times theyve looked terrible. Not to mention they took over 2HOURS to do them!!! 😠 never going back, and the product she was using was either empty, or old stuck closed.... Very annoying

I am done with this place, sad because the technician I always make an appointment with, loses a client. I went in for a fill (gel) last Friday (8/26/2022) and my technician was on vacation so I was given a new person that does not normally work at that facility. She told me I needed a new set because I had some fungus on a few of my nails. I told her fine, then this man who works there told me she’s correct, you need a new set. I agreed, however, I had a new set put on a month ago from the lady I always go to, she didn’t recommend it, I wanted it. The cost was $45, last Friday, $53, WHY. I don’t like being taken advantage, will never go back unless you get rid of that POS

I went in without an appt and they took me right away. I got a full set of gels done in just over an hour. They are very well done and great service for a reasonable price. I will definitely be returning myself.

I’ve been going to Universal Nails for 13 years, I love this place. I don’t trust anyone else with my nails! Highly recommend.

I haven’t had a pedicure in about 3 years. I went with my sister in law. It was a really great experience. The woman that did my sister in laws nails were so sweet and I was so happy with the experience that I made sure to tip well.Later yesterday evening though my toe was killing me. I woke up today and my toe definitely looked like it was becoming infected. By this evening, it was so bad that I had to go to urgent care and am now on antibiotics. I have to watch it closely because if it worsens at all, I have to go back in and they will have to do more.

This is definitely the BEST nail salon I have ever been to, not only is the place super huge and clean, the staff are super nice too! They have the best pedicures ever which are super relaxing, calming and peaceful. The products they use are super healthy and professional. Whenever I come to the nail salon, Danny and Kim, they owners, are there ready to greet me and ready for whatever I request. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone reading this. 10/10.

Amazing staff and environment! It was my first time visiting, my friend and I got a manicure and pedicure. Although it was pretty busy, they were efficient at making sure everyone was taken care of in a timely manner. Each employee is super sweet and does great work. My legs and feet feel so good and my friend’s nails look so good! We have definitely found our new nail place! Thank you all! Highly recommend this place!

This place is amazing! My daughter and two of her friends got their nails done for homecoming. My daughter had her nails done by Cathy. Although the ladies who did the other two girls nails were awesome! I highly recommend Cathy! She was wonderful with my daughter. She took extra time to make sure the nails were even and smooth. The ladies that helped us stayed late (more than a half hour) to make sure the nails were perfect. My girl is so happy! Thank you.

Just had a fabulous mani/pedi. The nail techs here are always very nice. My shellac nail polish looks great and lasts a long time.

Love it here! Being that Im from L.A and their overall service is bomb and have the best cleanliness of an environment. I have a favorite tech name LISA that I always always set an appointment with her before going in and has done my cutie nails since going there and have done it to the T every time. The first time I came here was fine. I got many odd comments from employees about how long i wanted ny nails. It was uncomfortable but not enough to leave. The second time was today, I came in and asked if they had time for a full set. Was not given a straight answer, so I waited and waited and was finally sat down. They had me pick my color and explain what i wanted and waited even longer just to be asked to come back another time because another lady was there and had been sitting with unfinished nails for 3 hrs. They oberbook and dont care about quality or customer service.

The new location is super pretty and nice! It lacks the family owned atmosphere their last place had but it is very professional. My 5 star review is for the man who did my pedicure today. He was very friendly and did an amazing job, great attention to detail, great massage and he spent extra time on the massage which is always nice! I dont remember his name but he was in his late 40s and it was not Danny the owner.

I made an appointment for three, my sister, best friend and I for pedicures and 2 sets of acrylics. It was for 2:45 however we didn’t sit till 3:20 and no one actually started our pedicure till 4. And even then they only started on my friend, I didn’t get started till 4:15 ish. Pedicures were fine and the lady was sweet. I went to get my full set done, and I told the lady that was doing it that I wanted length. And she said my nails were already somewhat long so it’s better if I just kept that and put nail polish. At this point I was already late for my other stuff so I said okay. She shaped my nails, BUT PROCEEDED TO PUT ACRYLIC ON. That’s where miscommunication was, if I was getting acrylics, I would’ve definitely added a tip to lengthen my nails. But she recommended not and nail Polish only. So why is there acrylics on my nails. My sister also got acrylics, she got the tip on hers as she wanted, both of our nails were the same price. So my lady clearly did not want to take the extra step to give me the nails I wanted. I paid almost $300 for all three of us and I’m sad I didn’t get what I wanted. I will call to see if they will fix it. We will see...

I have been a few times & talk my mom into it also...but for both of us the quality of work is VERY inconsistent. It’s a gamble if it is decent or not. Couple ladies talk to me while working on me otherwise each other, not English. My mom went today & the person doing her pedicure just disappeared...never came back & NOBODY checked on here. (Not the first time). Wish could get same great work & customer service EVERY TIME, like first but...no. Very disappointing.

Would give 4 stars, but the lady greeting you could have a nicer attitude. She rushes you to pick a color and ignores what you say.The place is very fancy, big, seems clean, has music playing in the background, ac/heating, new equipment, and great lighting. They use a check in kiosk system with phone number to acquire points. Walks in welcome; I never make an appointment and they tend to me within 1-10 minutes. Overall, a cute and relaxing nail place.Shellac full set goes for $45

My grandma and I went to this place and I left her with the lady and explained what my grandma wanted and the color she wanted by the time I came back my grandma had something totally different than what we ask. She doesn’t speak English but she said she told them no and they didn’t care and on TOPof that they charge us more than what they initially said it costs and this is the second time they do this. I visited like a month ago and the same what they charged me was totally different than what their website said $20 more and they said their website was not updated. Not coming back ever again. I would give zero starts if I could.

Hands down the best nail shop I’ve been to in a long time. Kim is amazing! Super sweet and professional. If there is a problem or you’re not 100% satisfied when you leave, she will fix It right away. The customer service is the best i have seen in any nail salon. Kim cares so much about the customer experience. They offer nail, wax and spa facials. The salon is very clean and they have a variety of colors( gel and Powder) I would definitely recommend coming here. Their prices and fair and the location is convenient.

Love this place! One of the best nail salons in Auburn. I’m picky but once I’ve found a place & nail tech who can do my nails the way I like them….I’m loyal to the end!!! Kim has a wonderful staff as well who know what they are doing. Professional and clean environment with friendly service!! I do recommend making an appointment though!

Worst nail salon experience I have ever had! This place does not even deserve this single star. Their failures began with a lack of being greeted. They seem to not know that greeting a client is necessary. I was seated. The woman (Kim) who did my nails fails to comprehend nail shapes. She flattened my nails completely and subsequently added ugly french lines. She focused on selling extras while working on my nails. There was no pleasant banter. Three workers sat around me chatting in their language and laughing very loudly. I cannot stand the type of place that does not understand customer service basics. Hopefully they take this review as a learning experience and increase their training. I will never go back to this place though.

I love this salon, have been a customer since 2009. They are always so friendly & Kim is the best!! Be sure to make an appointment if you will be on a time schedule, otherwise they do their very best when they are busy. Now they are in a much larger space with 3x as many pedi chairs & nail stations.

RUDE MANAGER.I’ve been here three times. The first time was great! Good service and well done gel mani & pedi. The second and third time the manager was uncomfortably rude.The second time I waited for 30 minutes for my pedi, and just when I was about to get my manicure the manager instructed the stylist to work on someone else so I’d had to wait for my manicure. When I asked why he said I had no appointment and was a walk-in so couldn’t complain.The third time I made sure to call ahead and make an appointment and got there on time. The same manager greeted me and I was sent to soak my feet. While waiting he received 4 more customers 3 of which were sat down and provided service immediately….while I kept waiting - I waited for 20 minutes so decided to leave. The manager came to me and asked in an impolite manner why could I not wait 2 minutes. His tone was rude and he was notably irritated. I explained I’d waited for 20 minutes my appointment was at 12:15 and it was now 12:35, so not 2 minutes. I also pointed out that I waited while other people just walked in and received service immediately. He said it was not a big deal to just wait.Lastly, and most importantly he berates the staff. He yells at the girls working in the floor which is just not cool and appears abusive to me. I will not tolerate that behavior.In the beauty industry we look for a service & to relax not to have to deal with a rude manager. My time is as important, kindness is important, customer service is important.

I was charged $110 for my nails, yes ONE HUNDRED AND TEN DOLLARS. I went in to get a fill on my nails (none of them were broken at all, there was nothing to fix or mend). On their website it says $35 for a fill.I also had an appointment for 3pm today, but they didn’t seat me until 4 (an hour later), took an hour to ‘re-shape’ my nails (I got cut twice), and then took another hour to paint them, where the design was smeared multiple times on multiple nails.I will not be returning to this establishment, and anyone should think twice if they have anything they need to do the day of their nail appointment.

I have been going to Universal Nails for 15+ years. Adore the owners Danny and Kim and the others who work there. I’ve never had a bad experience, always excellent work whether my nails or pedicure. Extremely friendly and fun people. They always want to know that your leaving satisfiedI moved to Puyallup, but still drive to Universal Nails, would never consider anywhere else.

Everyone was very nice! My nails came out beautifully and the length was perfect!

This place is a little more then Im used to spending BUT worth it! I got a Mani, Peti and I feel great! Mimi made sure I left happy she did a fabulous job and was so sweet, bonus she gives amazing massages too! Thanks Mimi for the very relaxing visit!!!

I asked for the most expensive pedicure and yet I don’t get the right cleaning on my toes. She only spent less than 15 minutes on cleaning on my toes and the lady next time got the cheapest services on pedicure and yet she still had the best cleaning compared to mines. The owners know me because one of my friends work for them as a receptionist. Errr

I am very disappointed with quality of my nails in 3 weeks Ive been back here 3 times.My first set the gel paint chipped and peeled off 4 nails, with no nail breakage. I called them to come back and redo them and was told to come in. I was charged $55.00 for first set and at this point I expected them to repair with no charge. However, I was charged another 35.00 for this fix. The next set lasted a whole 4 days before one started chipping and broke up high so once again. I went back to get the repair and at this point was told I needed new all new tips or they would keep breaking...so im seriously getting frustrated but have the new tips done and was charged once again $40.00 this time! My nails are not all the same length either I will not be going back and would not recommend to anyone! They use inferior products and do not stand behind the products that they sell. Buyers beware of this place. Im not even sure if it is true gel paint. In all my years of having my nails done, I have never had such bad service

They do a decent job, when you come in they are often busy these ladies are good but not the best. Though scheduling appointments is basically useless your never seen on time EVER, well rarely. Kim and Cindy are the best at acrylic nails and the older and chunkier ladies do get the best. Pls dont get offended by me saying chunky .. Im a big girl!

This may be one of the worst pedis I’ve ever had. It was hurried, the massage was just rubbing the lotion in and not a massage. And: I paid for an upgraded package. Customer service was terrible and the attitude of the guy running everything was subpar. I will continue to go to Covington.

Not my regular nail spot but I’m def not going back. I got a full set and the station I got my nails done looks like it has never seen a clorox wipe or any cleaning product. The light stand had build up of hardened acrylic sand, lots of collective dust, and removed acrylic nails under the station. Which was disappointing cause it’s very beautiful inside. Beside the cleanliness, I didn’t like how my nails were shaped and one is crooked. 2 stars cause the ladies were friendly.

Stopped in today because I’m new to auburn. Walked in immediately impressed by the cleanliness. I smelled no nail polish/remover in the air and was acknowledged right away and asked to sign in. Very little wait time. Mia paid close attention to what I wanted and chatted with me the whole time. Very pleasant experience planning to go back and bring friends and family.

I love going to Universal Nails. Im satisfied with every visit. My two favorite people are Tammy and Kim. They are the best and great prices!

I had a pedicure done, I made sure to ask before starting the cost. I was told $35 for the 3rd best quality. I was told $35. The lady jabbed at my nails making me jerk back several times, she literally burned my leg with a boiling hot towel. The nail color was supposed to be shellac and it smeared all over. It was not shellac at all. The final straw was they tried to charge me $60!!! I put up a fuss and she finally lowered it to $35. I will NEVER EVER GO THERE AGAIN! MY 5 year old granddaughter could have done better.

Excellent work. Little bit of a wait, but only because they were crazy busy—and for 3:30pm on a Sunday, thats kind of on me. Staff is friendly, and the place is huge! They must have 20 massage chairs, maybe more. Highly recommend this place.

The facility is nice. The amount for a mani/pedi gel polish should include the mani and great looking nails. Im not impressed at all with my nails. The gal who provided the service had wisdom but the service she provided that day was such that, if I go back, I will make sure it isnt her unfortunately.

I came here to try out a new nail salon closer to my work and saw many good reviews online. However I was really disappointed in my experience here. Cindy saw me and spent the first half of my appointment going on and on about the shape of my nails (I prefer stiletto nails) and how they they took a lot of work. I said sorry over and over but its how I like my nails. She also kept burning the natural bed of my nails and the surrounding skin and cuticles. I kept saying it burned and she kept giving excuses and readjusting my fingers because I kept pulling away and moving my fingers to adjust and get away. She never asked me anything about myself, my name, my work she just kept humming and paying attention to everyone around her. Finally at the end when she was painting my nails, she started picking at my pinky nail and pulled on what she thought was extra product but it was actually a beginning hangnail and she pulled it until it started bleeding. I instantly jumped and told her it hurt really bad and it instantly brought tears to my eyes. She squeezed my finger and apologized saying she was trying to get rid of my hang nail. She then quickly finished applying my polish and being extra nice to me asking me all about my job, my name and finally introduced herself (at the end of my service, I was Honey up until then) . All because I was sitting there with tears in my eyes. It was really horrible. Im not happy at all and will not be going back.

I brought my 84 year old grandma to get a mani pedi. The workers were excellent! They spent a long time massaging her arms, legs, and even her back! I was so happy! It meant so much to me that they showed her so much attention and really went the extra mile.
