OYO Hotel Baton Rouge Mid City

If I could give 0 stars I would. I booked this hotel 12 hours in advance on my way from Florida to Texas. I called multiple times to confirm and even gave them my debit card information. I arrived around 2 am and when I gave the man my id, he said I must be 21 to book a room. I’m 18, and I had confirmed multiple times on the phone that this was okay since I’ve had trouble before. I told him this and he told me I was lying, and there was nothing he could do for me and that I can “cry somewhere else” and proceeded to kick me out of the lobby in the middle of the night. Luckily, the regency inn was right next store and I was able to get a room for an even better price. Please do not give any money to this hotel, they are liars and almost left me stranded.

I booked online, but when I got there the staff was barely understandable and they charged my card a second time. I was told they were discounting the price due to the internet and microwave and fridge not working, but they failed to mention there were no towels and no shampoo. I had to dry off with a bath mat and wash my hair with bar soap. The beds were also unclean with cigarette burns in the sheets and blood at the foot of one bed. Very very very disgusting.

Booking was easy ... thats the only good about the post. Room was filthy.... room key wouldnt work attendant had to let us in everything we left n reentered room . Floor was disgusting. 3 of 5 light bulbs were missing , sheets on bed stained no pillow cases on pillows. SPOKE TO DESK ATTENDANT NO REFUNDS AND NO HELP TO MOVE TO A DIFFERENT ROOM . THE PICTURES POSTED ARE NOTHING LIKE WHAT YOU SLEEP IN . COMPLETELY FALSE ADVERTISEMENT ON OYOS PART . A COMPLETE CRACK INFESTED BUILDING.

DONT STAY HERE! (Just In case you don’t feel like reading my whole review wanted to cut to the chase) THE ABSOLUTE WORST! Before even going in the room I could tell this place was bad news however my boyfriend and I had been driving for the last 24 hours without a break and couldn’t find any other place with a room. The area place looked extremely dangerous and dirty. Definitely a huge drug hotel. When I went into the room first thing I noticed was the deadbolt was broken. Not a comforting thing when you see the hallways. Paint pealing from the walls, Some kind of dead bug on the bed along with holes in the blanket from what looked like cigarette burns, fire alarm ripped from the ceiling, dust everywhere, shower rack was dangling, towels looked dirty, bathroom smelled revolting and had flies, rust, and a leaky shower. My boyfriend had driven the whole way so he collapsed on the bed and was to tired to complain or drive somewhere else and book a different place. I however was afraid to even touch anything so I literally stood while he got a few hours of sleep, occasionally sitting on the edge of the dusty chair at the dusty desk. I couldn’t wait to get out of there and didn’t care how tired I was I was keeping as far away from the beds as possible.Would give zero stars if I could and wouldn’t be back if you paid me.

I don’t even want to give this place a star!! The receptionist walked me to my room to open the door. I asked for a key and he said it was broken. He said if I left to shut the door and ask him to open it. I didn’t even set my bag down. The condition of the hotel is deplorable and should be condemned! No smoke detector (cables were dangling), several holes all through the room, no light bulbs in the fixtures, satanic doodles all over the door, TV was stolen (he acted shocked) and roaches both dead and alive. I refused the room and he said to call a number for a refund. I will be calling many people to complain about this run down crack hotel. If you’re a junkie this is your spot!!

I should have read the reviews. This place is absolutely HORRIBLE! I DONT EVEN UNDERSTAND how it is still legal to rent rooms out. It is roach infested dirty sheets trash and cigarette buds on the bed. We stayed about 30 minutes and I had an asthma attack because the walls had mold on them. I am contacting the better business burial and the health department. I have opened a dispute for a refund. I cant even explain how bad my skin is crawling foem being in this room for 30 minutes. I booked it because we were passing through and there was nothing else available in the area. We should have slept in the gas station. Parking lot. $119 of our hard earned money down the drain.

DO NOT EVEN BOTHER!!! Upon checking into my room the first thing that hit me was the smell. Next was the disgusting floors that hadn’t been swept or mopped in who knows how long. A child’s wonderful artwork on the bathroom door that didn’t have a doorknob. The walls were disgusting. There were burn holes on the blanket in what was supposedly a non smoking room. The door didn’t close properly and had gaps all around it. I left and to give them the benefit of the doubt requested another room. It was just as bad as the first. The moment I walked in my shoes were sticking to the floor and there was some mysterious yellow powder in the bathtub. To try to get a refund is a freaking nightmare. You don’t talk to a live person, you have to connect to a chat and they’ll resolve your issue in 24-48 hours and refunds take 10-14 business days. I’ll update if that changes. I paid an extra $30 and went across the street to Quality Inn.

Booked online,we arrived to check in after 5 and they didnt have a room selected for us. Gave us some keys to check out the rooms. They hadnt been cleaned yet. Dirty bedding all balled up. Roaches in the floor dead. Previous occupant left an air mattress. When we refused the room,we asked for a refund and they just gave us a phone number. Still no refund after talking to 2 different people. Would not recommend.

We were late to book the for the Garth Brooks concert and this was all we could find. Note - you will want to hire personal security to get from the lobby to your room. Arrived at our room alive and the door was open half way open. Go in, bed used, every towel used and covered in engine oil, open soaps, wires hanging from lights and full trash cans. That was the good part of the review. When pulling into the parking lot will you will be accosted by crack heads. Good news though dealer is there to if interested. Then as you pass the lobby you will see a car that has had its tires stolen. Get to the back and a lot lizard slinks out of the stair well..just 10 bucks. Seriously though if you plan on producing a horror film in the near future you will be pleasantly surprised to have found the location. Ended up leaving and paying $400 a night somwhere else. I suspect this is a front for an hourly hotel. Coming armed is a must.

Price was very reasonable. The credit card machine would not accept my card, even with bank assistance. Physical premises needed lots of maintenance: walls, paint, sink faucet, door security lock. Hot water-was very hot — good! Free WiFi — Good! Linens were clean, but had some holes, which were probably older cigarette burns. I believe that my room (141) had bedbugs, as I was badly bitten on my thigh and neck The facility did not offer coffee.

There were lights missing bulbs, I got locked outta my room for like 2-3hours, and let’s just say that I saw some real characters during my stay. But it was exactly what I needed at the time. Sooo yeah.Got what I needed and wanted without any questions…bring a fan though, cuz they don’t have ceiling fans.(I can’t sleep without one and for the first 2 nights I slept horribly.)

Absolutely terrible place!! The pictures posted online do not accurately represent what you will see if you book here. We walked in looked at the dilapidated room we got, looked around out the door to realize it wasnt going to be better in any other room and left. Holes in the walls, cigarette/blunt holes (based on smell) in the bed sheets(non- smoking room), stains on the pillows,walls and all over the bathroom. There were broke down cars with smashed windows in the parking lot. I wouldnt have felt comfortable enough to have a roach stay in that place. See pictures of ACTUAL quality. I wouldve asked for a refund however I didnt feel like being blasted with weed smoke again or hear the front desk clerk yelling at her children to get away from the door. DO NOT STAY HERE!!

Room was so nasty, no towels, swimming pool was super dirty. The manager laid and said that the pool was open. No breakfast at this location. Blankets had burned stains on it. The door wouldn’t lock. I will never stay here again.

If I could give 0 star, I would give it to them due to a lack of information, super lousy, all these employees, I will never book with an oyo hotel again. Never book this hotel online because you will lose your money and then its a headache to get it back sometimes he doesnt even want to give it back to you.

Awful! First room, the A/C was off and the outlet was broken and there were roaches running all over the place. They moved me to a second story room. No phone in the room. No chair for the desk. No fridge or microwave. I had to go out on the balcony to connect to the WiFi. If youre old enough, remember Green Acres where they had to climb the telephone pole to make a phone call. I was only there one night. Got up the next morning to go and get coffee and there was a pair of panties dropped next to my car. No idea where they came from and didnt want to know. Trash everywhere. There was a full size refrigerator left on the walk way that I had to maneuver around. I would have had a better time camping with the homeless. If they had a negative star, they would get that.

There should be a way to leave 0 stars or even a negative star. When I first got there I should have just canceled!! There were some realy shady people standing outside the hitel and the lobby was locked and that was at 5pm,my first room was roach infested ,the water in the tub did not stop and the toilet had no seat. I requested a new room and that one was no better the fire alarm was ripped out the wall so I had a hole in the ceiling and part or the ceiling paint was falling g down, roaches were everywhere the TV did not work and I still tried to stay a night but when the roaches decided I was a friend and wanted to sleep with me that was it I could not stay the full 3 night I booked. #couldnotleavefastenough

I would give zero stars if I could. I reserved online, and when I checked in, there were bed bugs and blood on the mattress. I took pics went straight back to the front desk. I showed him the pics, and he refused to refund my money. I wish I could upload the pics. Price line said it was up to the hotel to refund my money. I went back the next day to talk to a manager; she said she would refund my money. But when price line called to verify she refused.

Would give no stars if possible, mildew all over the ceiling, no smoke detector (just wires hanging from the ceiling) the room was heavily smoked in (non smoking room) and the air conditioner looked like it was about to fall onto the floor. Also, a lot of shady looking people walking around, the locked lobby doors at 4pm in the afternoon should have been a red flag, but after seeing the room, stay at your own risk.

Roaches crawling All night. Toilet running all night. And got the nerve to say prices go up on holidays. I see why it’s a one start motel. Remote wasn’t in the room I had to walk back to the front desk. This is unacceptable

0 STARS!! A bunch of thieves! I booked a room through hotels.com. When I arrived they told me there were no rooms available and to request a booking through the booking site. I did that. Now they are refusing to answer the phone to confirm that they were overbooked for me to get my refund. While I was there several people were complaining about the same thing. They stole hundreds of dollars from people and refuse to take responsibility for their mistake. I will be filing a complaint with BBB and Attorney General because this is past disgusting business practice.I encourage everyone else to do the same. According to past reviews they need to be shut down anyways.

Worst hotel I have ever been to. Upon arrival some dude out front named Raymond trying to break into rooms and vehicles. Other guests trying to fight with this person. The staff was friendly and did what they could to get us in a room and did. Unfortunately the room was infested with roaches. They were crawling up the walls on our bags on the beds. We didnt even stay we left to Paradise Inn up the road which I highly recommend.

This was the nastiest hotel I have ever been too. I checked in and less than 20 minutes I was out. As soon as I turned on the bathroom light the roaches scattered. I should have taken some pictures but I was running from roaches. Then the lady said she couldnt refund my money I had to contact booking. Booking gave me the run around. I canceled my card.

DO NOT Come Here. This hotel had non-working toilets and dirt and blood smears in my room. A non-smoking room, but clearly had been used by a very dedicated smoker. Attempts to request service to fix the non-working toilet and clean the room were not responded to. The room had smears and stains. Very dirty and disgusting. Horrible front-desk.

Sheets on my bed had blood stairs and when I reported it to the front desk I was told to go around back to laundry MYSELF and get clean sheets! I NEVER RECEIVED THEM THROUGH MY ENTIRE STAY!! I HAD TO BARROW SHEETS FROM FAMILY MEMBERS. I BOOKED ANOTHER WEEK BUT AFTER NO RESPONSE ABOUT THE BLOODY SHEETS I CHECKED OUT EARLY, I ENDED UP SLEEPING IN MY CAR ONE NIGHT DUE TO NOTHING AVAILABLE IN AREA I NEEDED. MIND YOU IM IN TOWN FOR AN FAMILY MEMBERS FUNERALAS OF TODAY I HAVE NOT YET BEEN CONTACTED FROM THIS HOTEL. DID I MENTION THAT WHEN TURNED IN THOSE SHEETS THE FRONT DESK GUY THREW THEM DOWN ON THE FLOOR RIGHT THERE BEHIND THE DESK!! JUST NASTY

Asked for handicap room but didnt get one. Cant get wheelchair into bathroom.When to got out door to leave room cant get wheelchair over threshold. Bad move. rooms rate is out of sight for this place. They could rent them for 25$ a night and that would be to high.

Cleanliness can be worked on. There were many damages to my original room. The whole faucet to the shower was just gone.. lol Only good thing was that the staff let me go to a different room so I could shower.

Requested a no smoking room and my room smelled like cigarettes. I woke up on the second day and my toilet had flooded onto the floor and the sink was backed up also. Front desk refused to send maintenance. I called twice to request maintenance or a different room and the girl hung up on me both times after saying she had to call her manager. Declined to give me her name because she was ashamed of herself.

Horrible!They canceled the room I booked three days ago. They argue some water damaged. They are gauging the prices because hurricane Ida has displaced people like me from New Orleans, So I booked at a fair price, but now the rooms are three times what I paid for. Of course, they are canceling! There is no honor or ethics. Unfortunately, they are bidding with the necessity of many people. I found out they canceled because I called for early check-in, nor email, or called nothing. The customer service from Oyo is very polite, but there is massive miscommunication between the owner of the franchise and the corporation. Horrendous!

There was piles and I mean piles of trash all over the hotel. Like near the ice machine and shopping carts full of trash next to the trash bins. We had two rooms and both of them had mold. In rhe air-conditioner vent and on the bed skirts. There was still fecal matter in the bathroom....thankful I had bleach.

If I could give it zero stars I would. This place is disgusting. Will not be staying for the rest of the week. Terrible neighborhood. Drug deals in front of room. My room looks like a murder took place. Even bloody fingerprints on hair dryer. NEVER!! EVER !!! Run folks!! Run!!

HORRIBLE! We got to our room, and there wasnt even a smoke detector. When we requested to move rooms, they told us we couldnt move because they didnt know which rooms were being rewired. We cancelled our reservation, and it has been over 24 hours of trying to get our refund back. If you are not going to provide a safe environment for your customers, you should not be open!!!

Literally zero stars. Needed a one bed room at baton rouge location and called and was told they have a room and even have a confirmation email and arrived shortly after and the lady at the front desk rudely said we have no rooms and turned her back to me and walked away and after telling her I called and spoke with someone about the price and availability she Literally ignored me. Very disrespectful and I wish they would fire her. ZERO STARS!!! Absolutely ridiculous.

I attempted to contact customer service prior to writing my review to discuss my disappointing stay. After going through prompts the call would just be disconnected. I think the owner of this property clearly has not been in these rooms or at this hotel. They need to shut it down and renovate.

To start off with was not provided with a room that I paid for. TV would not work waited 5 1/2 hours to even get a remote to find out that there wasnt service. In other rooms the so called guest were selling drugs and constantly fighting. Roaches all over.it was disgusting. Toilet ran all night. Never stay at this hotel. I asked to be moved and wasnt allowed. It was not worth the 52.00 that I paid.

Terrible. The minute you enter the room you get a whiff of tobacco, as well as the minute we went on the bed and checked the sheets a bed bud came out of hiding! Baby cockroaches on the floor, others coming out from under the bed. As well as a dead baby lizard. Never coming here again.

The room was horrible, I didn’t even stay there. Had to get another room and I was told no refunds. So I asked for another room for that one to only be worst. So I went some where else to stay. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY GOING HERE!!! It s not clean at all!!!!!

I like a bargain so at -$44, this former Days Inn turned Oyo seemed to be my ideal bargain. But after one night it was obvious why such a spacious king room was available so cheap- because i had to share it with MANY DOZENS OF LITTLE ROACHES!!! And unfortunately, thats a deal breaker at any price.

Do not stay here!!!!! Disgusting!!! Not clean. Fridge rusted to hell. Exposed wiring. Lamp broken. Leaking calling, and black spot on Cellini from some smoking crack probably. Do not think, wonder or even look at this place. Skip go and save your money.

The atmosphere was not great, location was fine but property a mess. Room was dirty, air was not working, room was smelly, fridge was nasty with roaches in it. Would not recommend staying here at all.

Room was dirty no microwave bathroom nasty had to use the bathroom in my family room that had a room no pool but when I called they said the pool was working drug infested wires hanging holes in wall no smoke detected paid 65 to stay the stay wasnt even worth 2 dollars

Horrible experience I stayed at the hotel 3 hours and left. It was disgusting and people were outside fighting outside my door. I couldnt get a refund so I wasted my money! Never again!

The roaches were horrible, the shower had missing tiles, it was disgusting. I will never stay there again, for 70/night I can surely find something better, with better front desk service

Book a room and immediately tried to cancel the reservation. Customer service still hasnt gotten me my money back. Went to the hotel to speak with someone and they couldnt help me. They can only communicate with the owners who live in India thru whatsapp and no one answered. Hotel looked dirty and had a lot of traffic in the middle of the day DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!!!!

The location was okay but the room I was given had bed bugs bad and I have been bitten up bad and when I went to the front desk about it he basically told me that he really couldnt do anything about until next morning

Had roaches in my food and holes in the wall the light above the mirror was hanging from the top I rather not anyone pay to sleep there and they are rude … don’t wanna give your money neither have company trash under the beds my kids found toys in the room and no trash bag

I stayed in room 250 Started off in room 246 and had to move rooms cause the AC was leaking water. The bathroom door in 250 is almost off the hinges. And the sink is clogged we told them about it and they said they were sending someone and never did.

Rooms were not very clean and smelled of either smoke or mildew. We had many bugs. Enough said

German roaches and code violation. Mini fridge and microwave obliterating the sink and the toilet/shower area. Stay away from it.

Horrible place we have no fridge, the bathroom light in my room does not work, there is dirt and roaches and trash everywhere, there are broker fridges everywhere outside, no ice machine nor laundry facilities, along with there was no remote in my room. And the employees are pitiful, lazy, and absolutely rude as hell!

These folks have been the best to me in a very trying time. Rooms are nice, clean, big, and everything works. Cant beat it for the price. Much appreciated, thanks yall.

It was disgusting food was left in the microwave roaches in the room and the bathroom room door didnt even lock there was only one pillow on each bed and the sheets had a burn mark it was so bad that we even checked the beds for bed bugs we didnt even eat breakfast there due to the bugs and we left before check out time.
