Avant Tous Beauty and Med Spa - Willow Grove

I went here for a birthday pedicure. My toes were painted nicely but the overall experience wasn’t as relaxing as I thought it would be. My low back was hurting with the bench. The whole place was beautiful but there is only 1 nail tech and I had to ask for my feet to be scrubbed again because she didn’t get much of the callous off. She did it again. A few days later I had skin peeling off. I’d go back to this salon for something other than nails.

I have always been impressed with Avant Touss services. This is a friendly spa and salon that will make you feel welcome to relax and enjoy yourself. The massage therapists are very knowledgeable and give great massages. I have done the half hour massage and foot massage before and loved both! Ive also had a pedicure done. The technician did a good job of getting rid of my calluses and grooming my feet. The facility is very clean and simply decorated with a lot of natural light. They also have really cute jewelry by a local artist for sale. I will continue to take my business here in the future!

My toes were painted pretty, but my pedicure didn’t even last 30 minutes. I arrived a few minutes before my appointment and I may have spent a total of 20 minutes in the salon. It felt very rushed and it was not a relaxing experience. Pretty salon, but I will not be returning.

Nail tech was extremely rude and discouraging of becoming a client— this was my first experience and she was rude to the questions I asked and not welcoming at all. The receptionist was great but when I started my pedicure and was asked if I wanted my nails cut short all I said was yes bc I can get ingrown toe nails and she abruptly rudely said no I don’t do that, I won’t do that - ok and then with no other nice conversation I tried to make conversation which was just met with a short answer- ok fine but then when I ask about acrylics for another time and show a picture of a simple design I was abruptly told no can’t do that — it was a simple stripe design— I was then told she would do polka dots — so I’m like you can do dots but not stripes— then she proceeds to try and gaslight me when I call out her rudeness— it’s fine if you don’t want to do something or don’t do it but there’s a nicer customer service way of responding especially leaving a first impression of someone excited to try your services for the first time at supposedly a luxury spa. So she tried gaslighting denying and arguing that she was not rude just honest and even saying that if you ask her what method is better for your nails she will tell you none of them — I’m sorry if it wasn’t for the location this would obviously be bad for business. I won’t be returning though to somewhere that portrays a luxury, quality service image but is so unwelcoming and rude to tell you they won’t do things.

Got a pedicure about a week ago and really enjoyed it. It’s a very relaxing environment and a being offered refreshments is always a plus.You can schedule an appointment online or call in. The slot I wanted wasn’t available online so I called and was still able to get it less than an hour before!As soon as I walked in, even though I was early, I was taken back to pick my polish and she started on me immediately. Morgan gave me the best foot massage ever and I really needed it that day!If you’re looking for a nice spa experience this is definitely the place to be. The polish did start chipping on the edges faster than I expected (a little over a week) but I didn’t get gel.I’ll definitely be returning.

Just had a 30 minute massage by Amy. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! I get massages and she has some great hands and not only got knots out but just relaxed me.

I am not the kind of human to ever leave a negative review or walk out of a service.. but unfortunately, here I am. I had an appointment at 9:30 on a Tuesday morning to get an acrylic refill. I arrived early, as I always do, and while I was waiting in my car I got a call saying my nail lady would be late - okay perfect no problem. I went inside to wait and pick out a color. Around 20 minutes after my appointment time, my nail lady shows up. She doesn’t acknowledge me as she gets set up - again, no problem, I know she may have been flustered. 10 minutes later, she lets me know she’s ready. I greet her with no response. She starts aggressively shaving down my nails and I ask if she can thin them a little more and she says “No.” No explanation. I already felt uncomfortable at this point because her entire interaction towards me thus far has been hostile. She then suggested that she remove my acrylics and start with a fresh set. She didn’t really explain why but I know nothing about nails so I agreed and she started soaking my nails. She immediately took on another customer as I soaked my nails. About 20-30 minutes into soaking I asked for her to check on them and she said “no, they are not ready” and then proceeded to let me know that she did not have time to do my nails, only take them off. I decided to thank her and politely walk out. I would have never walked out of somewhere had she been kind, but her attitude was extremely rude. I have never had a bad experience here, or anywhere with my nails. It hurt my feelings lol - I really loved going here but I probably won’t be returning!

Wow!!! Just went through the list and I can’t believe all of the amazing services Avant Tous has provided throughout the years! Ellen and her staff are simply the best when it comes to great service in meeting all of your beauty needs. From Courtney and Montana, who are masters when it comes to all things brows and lashes and facials to Vivian, whose manicures and pedicures are unmatched to Dr. Ghere and her staff for all the Botox and filler you desire, Avant Tous is hands down Baton Rouge’s BEST full service spa. And not only are they talented but they are some of the sweetest, most sincerely kind people you will ever come across. Never once have I felt rushed or made to wait when I’ve been there. If you ever consider treating yourself to any spa services, make Avant Tous your first call. You won’t be disappointed.

I have been coming to Avant Tous for years for brows and lash tinting but took the chance to get my nails done the other day! I absolutely loved the experience! Everyone was incredibly welcoming- I typically don’t get gel because of the quick peeling but so far so good! This will definitely be my one-stop-shop!

I previously had my eyebrows done at Brookes last location. I booked a follow up appointment with her at this new one and she continues to amaze me with her work and friendliness. The site is also beautiful! I loved my entire experience.

A friend of mine told me about what amazing service she had. So when I visited my mother for her birthday, I made her an appointment. I am go glad I did! Brooke really knew her stuff and made her visit welcoming and relaxing. I believe this was a birthday gift VERY well spent. 11/10 would recommend.

Very clean and serene environment. I got a mani pedi and this is not at all your typical nail salon. It’s just two ladies who actually talk to you and are very personable. I was in and out at my exact estimated appointment time. Loved being able to schedule and not sit and wait for services.

I was introduced to Avant Tous during a bridal party mani/pedi session and Ive been hooked ever since! Montana is a joy to be greeted by every time I walk in for an appointment. She makes me feel like Ive been a client there since day one. Morgan works wonders on my nails and always gives the best advice on which services to go with, PLUS, shes a pleasure to sit with for any length of visit. Ive gotten waxing done by Courtney and she took care of my eyebrows in a pinch and she provided hands down the best brow waxing Ive ever experienced. Hope did a chemical peel for me and she was so friendly and knowledgeable! She picked the perfect peel for me based on my desired results and my skin type/timeline. Ive never been so impressed with a salon and the customer service provided, and its a one stop shop. They do it all! No more scheduling appointments at 3 different salons for nails, waxing and facials!

Avant Tous is my go to spot for lashes, eyebrow tint and shaping and spray tans. The facility is beautiful! The staff is the friendliest staff around. I have a lash membership, so I am there every other week, if not more. The spray tans here are so natural, I refer all of my friends. The owner, Ellen is genuine, kind, and inclusive to all. She is involved on a daily basis in her business and it shows!

Since Im not from the area, I wanted to try a reputable spa to get my eyebrows done. The staff is really friendly, however, I wasnt happy with my eyebrows; my skin ripped off during the waxing session (which Ive never experienced before) and minimal clean-up after.

I brought my mom into the spa as a gift for Mothers Day. She had an absolutely wonderful experience. I could not wait to bring her and Avant Tous and their staff met all of our expectations and beyond. Hannah and Nicole were amazing! And Vance and Morgan took such good care of us! Thank you for making my Moms day such a good one!! She felt so pampered and spoiled. Because you made her day, you made mine. Thank you again!

My mom took my sister and I for pedicures for Mother’s Day! We were so excited to try a new place! We were so bummed though! First let me say, it’s a BEAUTIFUL facility!!! However service was not the best! As I said, we came in for pedicures. There were few colors to choose from and it was not the relaxing experience we’d hoped for! There was one girl and one guy doing nails! The girl took MAYBE 5 minutes on my sister (and treated her like she was made of glass) and the guy took care of me-he did a great job but not without some snarky comments about how bad my feet looked!?..I was a little shocked! We were asked to hold up our own feet while they used the pumice (not normal) the girl even made a comment to my mom about the fact that mom was “pushing her down by not holding up her own foot”! I will say..we all at least got leg workouts in for the day!! Haha! They were in a rush the whole time! We were all there for maybe 30 min total(3 pedicures done by 2 ppl in 30 min—start to finish) and they even asked us to move to some benches before our toes were dry (it was like maybe 3 min after they were done polishing)so they could pick up and go home for the day (at 3:50)! The girl at the front was sweet but when we inquired about skincare products for sale she said we’d have to come back and speak with someone else! Unfortunately we won’t be back!

I went in to Avant Tous at 38 weeks pregnant to have my toes, eyebrows and nails done before I had my baby the same week. I originally scheduled lashes somewhere else right after my nail appt. but the other salon called me at 8:30 that morning and cancelled my lash appt. I was chit chatting with the girl at the front desk and I told her what happened. She talked to the owner, Ellen, and she did my lashes that day. Ellen was not there to see clients, she was there to do office business and she squeezed me in. It was so relaxing my entire visit! Every single person who saw me was soooo sweet and genuine. My nails, eyebrows, and lashes look amazing. I will make the 45 minutes drive to see them from now on, because you just can’t go back to a regular nail shop after that. And they make appointments!

Morgan at the Willow Grove location has been doing my nails regularly for several years. She delivers excellent service every time!

Courtney is absolutely amazing! She has done my microblading and touch ups for years! I also highly recommend a dermaplane add on to any facial!

Amazing experience with microblading. Courtney microbladed my eyebrows. I had them done 3 years ago at another place. I chose Courtney based on a recommendation. She is incredible, detail oriented, professional and her work is incredible. My eyebrows are gorgeous. I highly recommend her.

I just can’t even believe a negative rating I just read! I have a coustomer for over a year now and I go in almost every week for polish change or mani & pedi’s. I have always loved the warm, welcoming environment of this place. I feel right at home with the professional staff and love my time with them. Their service is excellent!! I have 2 close friends who are both spa owners so I am very particular about where I go. In a world of a busy paced lifestlye it is so refreshing to enter into a place where you slow down , pause and feel peaceful and rested.Keep up the GREAT job!!!!!😘

Bad availability and poor customer service. They never have an appointment available, even for members who have already paid for services for the month. Nail techs get angry and bang things around in a passive aggressive manner because of whatever little thing you did or didn’t do (always something new— didn’t tell them you had gel on your nails, you showed up 10 minutes early, etc.), making you feel very unwelcome. Attempted to cancel membership after several months of trying to make it work with them, and they refused to issue refund for services they were unable to render.

Hope is EXCELLENT at makeup application. SHES A true artist who can make anyone look their best! Loved her demeanor during my visit, too. Would ABSOLUTELY recommend to anyone who is serious about looking their best for a special occasion!!

I see jackie for my massage and I would not go to anyone else! Whether I’m having a specific issue or just want to relaxing massage, she is amazing! Jackie is professional and friendly..and she knows what she is doing.

I had an amazing gel manicure and gel pedicure this past week at the Willow Grove location. The spa is very clean, and the staff is courteous and professional. I will definitely be going back!!!

I have gotten about 10 spray tans here, always comes out even and looks like a natural tan! The spa is gorgeous and a serene atmosphere. Staff is always very helpful and friendly.

Very disappointed! I have blonde eyelashes/eyebrows and the stain & tint that was applied only lasted 2 days.

First time and it was super special - everyone is so friendly and I cannot say enough about Montana, she went above and beyond the call of duty (even texting me from her personal phone after hours) to make sure I had my appointment times correct) - thats what I call customer service.

Hope did my chemical peel a couple of weeks ago. She was so sweet and she really listened! She even reached out to me to make sure everything went okay!

I had a massage with Hillary today and highly recommend! One of the best massages I’ve ever had.
