Da Vinci Massage

That was the worst massage Ive ever had. I went on Friday night(1/6/23). The location is right next to a tattoo shop. Throughout my massage I could hear the music and people inside the tattoo shop. There was a woman(Im going to assume she works there.) She was not quiet at all. She dropped a cup and I could also hear her movements throughout the massage.The massage was going alright until he started using his elbow. The entire massage felt as if the guy didnt know what he was doing. He only massaged my back and pain began immediately. You could tell I was uncomfortable and was moving away. Thats when he would stop with the pressure and start back.I was on time and the massage started at 620 pm. It did not last for 1 hour. He stopped when there was ten minutes left. And five minutes later asked me if i was dressed. When I asked him what kind of massage was that he said Swedish massage, Deep tissue massage, Shiatsu and another name massage. This confirmed that Steve/Sam has no clue what hes doing.I felt worse than when I came in. My entire body was sore for 5 days. My hips were so painful and Ive had trouble walking all week. Also I dont know why they only had Cetaphil lotion, oils with no labels and the table was hard as heck. After my massage I looked around the room and it was different from other places I have been. Its lacking. Not to mention a picture is hanging upside down. I shouldve left when I saw that.I do not recommend this place.

I looooove going here!! The masseuse is just amazing, amazing, amazing. Respectful, highly skilled and very in tune with my body; it’s like he knows where it hurts before me even telling him. It’s not fancy or whatever but I don’t care because I’ve been to places where it’s fancy and the massage is horrible. Here, it’s not fancy but the massage is amazing. I wish I could go everyday!!!! Thank you soooo much! My neck, back, and shoulders appreciate you!

Comfortable and simple environment. Massage therapist was respectful. He was skilled and used several different massage styles and techniques. He listened to my requests and gave extra attention to my areas of tension. Particularly good job on the neck. He used hot stones briefly which were a bit too hot, but when I said that he was careful with them.

I walked into an unmarked doorway, and immediately was greeted by the stench of rotten squid or fish and a single gentleman amid a wall of white curtains. It did not seem like a legitimate business at all. I did not feel safe and left. This needs to be investigated by the BBB.

I’m shocked to see some bad reviews! some people have really closed minds. Someone is on here reviewing and they never went, their wife did and someone else is on here reviewing because of the aesthetics of the place. Yes this location is not a glamorous spa but I don’t go to get massages for the environment I go to get work done on my body. Al does incredible body work! The one time I went it was just Al and another woman who stayed in the back during my entire massage. I’m assuming she was his wife. They were both friendly. as far as the environment is concerned, yes, there are curtains, it was ambient lighting, it was warm, and there was music. I was given privacy to change before, and after the session. I felt safe the entire time. I also went at night time and booked his last appointment and got a full 90 minutes of service. I booked through Groupon and my Groupon was honored. If you want an incredible full body massage at a incredible price book here; if you just wanna complain and shoot down someone’s business, then God bless you.

Having read all the comments on Yelp, Google etc, i had a bit of trepidation, as my friedm had booked this massage for me, and Al had mixed reviews: either people loved him or they did not. Well, after i met Al and conveyed my concerns to him that i was worried about getting injured further than i already was with regard to my lower back, he and I agreed he would focus on that but not go too crazy. It turned out to be very relaxing, and my back feels much less tight as of right now. The hour went by very fast, and so i think i might even have fallen into a transe or light sleep...but a full hour it was...nice nondescript music...nice usage of hot rocks in the end..Al is a nice guy and seems experienced. He never stopped that i recall, and did as I asked, so i think that those who did not think Al listened to them, might actually not have made sure that their thoughts had actually come across. Thumbs up.

I have been several times- a wonderful and consistent massage. Without a doubt one of the best I’ve ever had. The pressure amount he defaults to is great for me- but he is very responsive when I ask him to adjust it as well. As another comment mentioned, expect a mom and pop small massage place.

4/1/2023 I suffered with a stiff neck and muscle pain for three weeks as I tried my home remedies to get relief. I contacted my doctor and she recommended massage. I booked a 60 minute massage using a Groupon. I was a bit concerned, but when I arrived and met Al, who would provide the service, I immediately felt comfortable. After the massage, I asked if he had time to do reflexology on my feet. The service and knowledge Al provided was excellent in doing both the massage and reflexology. I have already booked a second appointment.

A hidden gem! Its pretty new with very limited reviews a few months back so it took me some courage to give it a try. But the session I had with Al was so good and relaxing that I know Id be a regular. The place is not fancy but feels private since I was the only customer both times. The music is also very soothing. The price is really reasonable too which is a big plus.

Injured! In one word to summarise experience.I would suggest to avoid this masseuse to add more harm than benefit. I am in mid forties and good shape. I asked for deep tissue massage and oh man what a kneading of back shoulders muscles first, which sores my back for weeks and if thats as not enough he pushed my leg up and back so hard towards hips that it gave me hip flexor strain. I felt some kind of blood flow in muscles when pulled back but thought it was blood circulation instead of muscle rupture. I have been hurt for weeks and going through chiropractor care to recover. He guides his hand as if he knows but may be lacks proper training about human muscles and body to give a relaxing massage for all individual.

I had a 60 minute massage with Al and I cant say enough good things about him and his work. Hes very attuned to the places where there is any tension and gives extra attention to those. Hes very calm and gentle so its easy to relax in his care. I really like his technique definitely I ll be back Highly recommend.

This place is not necessarily as advertised. It’s basically Shiatsu style massage, including hot stones and hot towel which is great if that’s what you’re looking for. Not what I was expecting given how the website describes the DaVinci method and not a style of massage my body enjoys.The bigger issue is that my masseuse was just not paying attention to my body (even when my muscles were spasming) and took no time to ease in to higher pressure. I like firm pressure but it was just not attentive to what my body’s current needs were. I asked him to decrease pressure maybe 15 minutes in, but he had already hurt my shoulder really badly from digging his elbow in while my body was tensing. I’ve iced, stretched and rubbed and it still feels like a fishing hook is stuck in my shoulder. The muscles yank every time I move and just ache constantly otherwise.I felt generally rushed the entire time, like an annoying last customer of the day, got something stylistically and relaxation-wise that was the complete opposite of what I expected, and left with an injury.

This place has a cozy hideout atmosphere. The pricing is similar to competitors in Chinatown, and so as the session and service, but the good news here is hot stones are included in the price. (no foot bath, instead.) The massage was great with deep tissues and acupressure point techniques. My body felt relaxed when I left.

Literally the best massage I’ve ever gotten. I am now a massage person because of this.They did EVERYTHING. Hot stones, cupping, you name it.Will definitely be coming back here and thankful for their great pricing!
