Honestly one of the best kept secrets in Boulder. Great massages, great prices, great hours, easy walk-ins. One of the things I love is that you keep your clothes on and there’s no oil or lotion used for a chair massage, they drape a cloth over you and the massage therapists wear gloves — so you don’t need to shower after or worry about smelling like an orange blossom scent that you can’t stand (true story from the last time I got a massage at a fancy spa). Makes it very easy to pop in and out in the middle of a busy day!
Best kept secret. It’s so different than American massage, people are leery of it!! I cannot believe how wrong they are. Everyone who takes the foot massage is in twilight land or asleep before they leave. These are the pros.
This is my first time here, for a foot reflexology massage. First time getting anything reflexology related in general!I dont know quite how to describe how good this was for me and my beat up, painful feet. Please do yourself a favor and try this place 🙏🏽I dont remember the last time my feet and ankles were completely pain free, and I make sure to stretch and roll them daily. Im not sure how long this feeling will last but Im elated.
I feel like i was injured by my massage therapist #20. The pressure was way to intense. I asked him to go down and it didnt happen. At the end, he pushed so hard on my spine that I am feeling like i have to go to the doctor and it is bruised. It was the worst experience i have ever had. I was sweating from the pain and should have walked out but kept thinking it would get better. Terrible.
It’s hit or miss at the Relaxing station. Sometimes I get a wonderful relaxing experience and sometimes it’s terrible. Last night I went in because I was sore from skiing and I had had a bad day. The guy used his elbow and was vigorously poking me with it, fast and hard and painful. Jamming his elbow into my spine and ribs and back, no warm up. It felt like he was extremely Andy and taking it out on me. I was crying in pain as that was the last thing that I could possibly have wanted, and it from a place that is supposed to be relaxing.I don’t know if they train the massage people because that was rough. Today and am so sore and feel beaten up.Next time I am going to just get off of the table and leave when I am being beaten by an angry person who has no idea what they are doing.
Pretty dependable. You get a different person every time you go in--no appointments. I think you can request someone if you want a particular practitioner. The foot reflexology is very relaxing. The full body massage once was too much pressure for me and I should have tried to speak up more. But overall I appreciate this place a lot.
I received a great 30-minute massage from Buao for $32 plus a good tip. Its a little strange because no one seems to speak English, so you cant really tell them where youd like them to focus, or adjust pressure partway through (you do specify pressure on a sheet when you check in), but the value cant be beat!
What an amazing special treat for yourself or/and someone you care about! My son gave me the gift of this place on my recent introduction to Boulder area among many other places . We had The most amazing foot/leg massage here . The nice man massaged my legs from knees down to feet for a 30 minute massage. I can’t wait to do a repeat of this experience when I return again. I absolutely Loved the experience here . The comfort of the reclining chairs and general comfortable feel of the place including the very relaxing music subtly playing in the background , with the incredible expertly skilled kind masseuse working such magic on my feet and legs. I seriously felt like my feet/legs had not felt this fine and reborn since I began to walk on them 62 years ago. Muscles I hadn’t been aware of the feeling of in years finely worked on in this incredibly marvelous experience . Highly highly recommend this experience! So Very Special 💗!!🌟
I had never had acupressure before and lets just say it wasnt what I thought. Dont get this if you think it will be a massage, cause its not! They have you pick the pressure you want on a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the most pressure. I picked a 3 to be on the safe side and OMG that hurt and was uncomfortable. I had to tell him a few times to be more easy. But it was still not that pleasurable. The reflexology was a lot better. My feet are ticklish but he did enough pressure where it didnt bother me. He got a little hard a few times but all in all it was pretty relaxing.
Love this place! Great price for service and convenience! I love that you can just walk in for a massage. My last two times, I requested Tina, who was very thorough and gave me perfect amount of pressure. Thanks!
Ive been here 4 times for a massage and I really enjoy it. Heres a rough idea of what its like for someone whos never been before. This is an open massage store. When you walk in, you will see chairs for foot massages, tables for body massages. Its big, quiet, clean, with lots of available staff. The 4 times Ive been here Ive never had to wait, even on a Sunday afternoon.Majority of the staff are Chinese men (some women). They dont speak a lot of English but they have a sign in sheet where you can indicate the massage you want and your desired pressure level. Everything is fast and efficient there. When its time to check out, they provide free bottled water. Theres a piece of paper where you will write down how much you would like to tip. They charge an extra $1 for card payments so I always pay with cash.Overall Ive always had great experiences there. $37 for a 1hr full body massage is really reasonable, and they really do a good job. This is a great place if youre looking for a quick and deep massage. Not so much if youre looking for something like a spa massage.
Quick, no-frills massage location. I got a 40 minute full body massage at level 3 out of 7 - I like deep tissue but can be sensitive and I felt this was the perfect pressure for me! You are fully clothed and draped with a sheet for the duration of the massage. I left feeling relaxed and rejuvenated, and the price is very affordable.
I have had great massages here over the years. However, today I went in and got a 60 minute full body massage where the therapist used only his elbow and forearm for 95% of the time. It was rough, blunt and had no accurate body pressure that I expect when I get a Chinese massage. Felt like this therapist was not trained. Disappointing visit.
Buyer beware… I’ve come here previously and had a great time but lately and especially today the quality of the massage was very poor. The back massage was okay but the pressure was extremely hard and the areas I needed didn’t get focus. The foot massage was more of a lower leg “Indian Burn”. I actually had to instruct the guy on where to rub and to ask him to stop rubbing the same spot for 10 min. Overall I’m more stressed and tense then when I went in. Complete waste of time and money. I recommend skipping this place.
The foot massage was nice and deserved a 4, but the body massage was awful. He only worked on my back, and a little bit on the backs of my legs and arms - no quads or neck at all - and almost exclusively used his elbow, not his hands. Left my back sore and bruised. And I had requested a pressure of 3-4 on a scale up to 7. In the past I have had nice massages here, but either I got the wrong guy or they have changed how they work. I would go back for a foot massage, but I won’t take another chance with a body massage.
Went in for a 60 minute full body massage, at several points I almost called it quits after repeating the pressure was far too hard for me. Sucks because its a beautiful location, great setup and the staff seem super friendly; but I left feeling like I had wasted $60 (w tip) on something that gave me no relief and that only my legs really were worked on properly.
I get massages every month and this place is pretty good for the $. $40 for 1 hour. I did 30 mins body and 30 mins foot.. I did not want too hard so I picked 3 out of 10 and it was exactly the pressure I wanted. The man I got does speak enough English for me to communicate. He asked many times if the pressure was good. I would come back when I return to Boulder.
Having come here for years and back the first time in a very long time. tonight I was very disappointed.Massage was OK and at the end I tipped to which the therapist responded that I was cheap and told me not to come back.Sounds like some other reviewers have had the same treatment. He was so rude and gruff about it telling me I couldn’t do math,,, I thought I’d tipped 20% turns out I was a dollar short (it was late so I think maybe as he suggested my math brain wasn’t working). I then offered to tip more and he said no (silly of me to offer I guess). Finally I asked how much I should have tipped and he said $100 (on a 40 odd dollar massage) and followed it with “you owe a lot of people now”. 🤦🏻♂️
I was assaulted by my massage therapist here a couple of years back and never reported it or wrote a review, as my mom discouraged me on the account of the manager offering her free massages. I to this day feel guilty not saying anything, because I would hate for someone to have the experience I did, so I figured I would share.
Asked for 1 hour full body. all he did was pressure point type along my neck and back which werent really correct pressure points. No massage at all. Asked for massage but kept telling me shhhh.shhhh. told him where I was tense. he never touched. Actually got up and walked out because they wernt doing any good at all and I was getting tense and angry because he did not listen . complained and reluctantly paid for time I was there.Worst waste of money. $50 an hour for weird pressure point. Not. Recommend you stay away from this place if you want anything near what most people want as a normal massage.
Loved it! My first time and I will be back. I love that you get to tell them the level threshold for your massage. Also I especially love the foot reflexology and the soothing atmosphere. I would have given five star but I noticed they dont change the towels that they cover the clients with and I find that very disgusting. People are wrapped with those towels on their arms and their legs. I think its very unsanitary.I will definitely request new ones in the future.
I went today for the 1st time with a friend, we had Lee and Tian they were beyond amazing, thorough and detailed. My friend and myself are both seasoned massage therapists and we have never been massaged like this!! We didnt want to leave!! We did the 30 min reflexology and 30 min full body combo. Highly refer these 2 therapists! We will definitely be back!!
Ive been a bodyworker in boulder since 2005. If i could go here everyday i would. 2 times recently i was so anxious and panicking. I remembered this place and went in and it literally saves me every time. I love super deep work, so if you dont, do not ask for anything over level 5. I usually do level 6. I havnt always had great massages here, but i have also had some of the best. And for the price you cant beat it.I love you relaxation station. Id pay more for you. And i secretly dont want you to get too busy for my own selfish needs.
Way too hot, has to be around 90.. They need to turn down the heat. The good is the price and fact that you can get in without an appointment.Easy to fix things:1. Control the temperature. They keep it very hot and then throw a thick towel on you. This place needs to keep the temperature way down.2. Have the massages actually read the pressure recommendations.3. Have therapists actually read the requests you make on the plastic sheet.Advice:Get the foot rub. Massages are hit or miss.
My favorite place in Boulder. I love this spot so much. Id go every day if I could. Be careful tho, anything over 6/10 on the strength level of massage is REALLY strong haha 6/10 is deep tissue enough (and I dont have a sensitive body and usually prefer deep tissue)
I went in at 4 pm June 30 for a 40 minute foot massage. The immediately puts his thumbs into the arch of my foot and press so hard that I now have Plantar Fasciitis pain and can not put any pressure on my left footI almost jumped out of the chair. I keep telling him lighter but he could not communicateI have been here before. They have almost no training all elbow and super deep, painfully work. Not worth the pin and torn tissue from their lack of knowledge and skill. Avoid
Best foot massage I have ever had in my life. I got a 60 minute foot reflexology massage from Liu. Extremely affordable and very high quality. Also, they kept changing the sheets and the towels. The music was was very calming and everything was very well sanitized and clean. Liu applied a lot of foot lotion periodically and the pressure was perfect. My body temperature was taken before allowing me inside. This place is highly underrated and very affordable, I left a good tip. Awesome experience, highly recommend the 1 hour foot massage.
I went here today & I do not recommend getting a full body massage. Maybe a foot massage would be fine but the guy I had working on me made my massage very unpleasant. I circled 3-4 out of 7 for pressure but the guy was putting so much pressure on my back and basically grinding his elbow and arm into my back. My back is so bruised now. I dont think Ill ever come back. You also can communicate with them cause they dont speak English...major inconvenience. 👎🏼
I have been there atleast twenty times. Loved it. But today when I didn’t tip my therapist as much as he apparently expected, he yelled at me. It was shocking. He was so mean. I won’t go back. I also sent a friend there a few weeks ago and she said the same thing happened and that she won’t go back either. Strange. Maybe it was the same man.
The woman who gave me a massage was sweet and the massage is good. I didnt want to give a bad review so I wont BUT I woke up this morning and my back has gone out. This isnt an experience I have had often in my life. Also, she accidentally massage my spine pretty hard with her elbow and it feels bruised today. I think the towels make it so they cant really feel what they are touching. Not sure Ill go back for a full body massage but maybe Id try the acupressure foot massage.
Danggg best massage in a long time. WOULD RECOMMEND! I’m a massage junkie so I know a good place when I see it. I recommend full body if you like more attention to the back and shoulders.
I went for my first time a few hours ago and got a one hour full body massage. It was one of the best massages I have ever had! I had Yuyu as my therapist and asked for a 7 for amount of pressure (which is the highest) and she really put the hurt on me, but in a good way.I have tried a lot of massage therapists but many of them cannot seem to apply the amount of pressure that my body requires. Yuyu did an amazing job and I left feeling great. The price is great at about 37 dollars plus a tip.
The massage was fine, especially given the price. But... I cant shake the feeling that I was a wallet, in need of a rubdown, hurriedly ushered onto the rubbing floor where I was made to plop down on a table, muscles pushed and prodded, then sent back out into the world, feeling slightly looser than when I entered, yet sorely confused about how exactly that happened.
This is an amazing and affordable Boulder secret. I chose a hardness of 7 just out of curiosity and the experience was definitely as psychological as it was physical. As they are not technically chiropractics or PT, its important to communicate where you are tight or hurting. They dont speak English almost at all, but offer a message text-translation service on their website that you can show to the masseuse when you arrive. Awesome place.
Wonderful massage therapists, but they dont change those large brown towels between customers, they only refold them. I called the manager and he acted surprised and told me that is not the policy, but last time I went, they did it again and I took a video which I sent him. He never responded. So..if you want a clean towel and not one thats used for every client, you need to ask.
Service was terrific. Id generally give a 5 star, but today was different. The employees were talking constantly, even after I glanced over a few times and my massager went over and scolded them. Not relaxing today.
You get what you pay for here and it is an amazingly convenient massage service. Dont expect a traditional massage/spa experience and beware indicating too high of a number for your desired pressure, these masseuses/masseures are strong!
My husband and I were so impressed with our experience at the Relaxing Station. It was obvious that the managers put much thought and effort into making their clients comfortable in this tranquil environment. The massage was incredibly soothing and refreshing. We would recommend the combination for a total blissful experience. Ren was well deserving of the tip we left him...we will certainly be back.
I used to go here alot prior to COVID. I have been back twice this month and both times were disappointing. The foot soaking water was cold and its a bummer the bathroom sink still doesnt have hot water for hand washing. Today the fella did the same knuckle up and down for the first 10 minutes on each foot (looked at the TV clock timer all the time). This was all the while he kept burping out loud and coughing up a lung. This was surely no relaxation. Both times I did not relax and felt as if the massager was doing bare minimum. I will not be back unfortunately. They also dont offer water anymore.
Not good anymore. All the classically trained parole have moved on. Nothing but hacks there now who will hurt your spine. Disappointed. used to be great
60min Full body “massage”, it was actually a 60 minutes of elbows of destruction, was covered in a bed sheet? Like what? worked on my legs so much their sore. When I winced out of pain, he chuckled. Holy moly don’t go here if you want to be treated well. Unless you like MMA massage.
Excellent foot massage. No appointment needed. Parking is plentiful. Very clean inside. They also have a forehead touch less Covid temperature screen. Highly recommend.
My chiropractor suggested checking out the Relaxing Station to help unlock some of the tight muscles. The Relaxing Station check in process is easy and efficient. You mark down what type of session you want, along with the level of pressure to be used. Not only have I been impressed with the sessions, but the cost is quote affordable. (Which is always great when you have to seek out multiple sessions for help in getting your muscles to calm down & unwind!)
In my opinion- absolutely awful. Injured and no call back from owner. My physical therapist said he sees lots of injuries from this location. They overwork their people in my opinion, therapists falling asleep during the foot rubs.
This was amazing I feel so much better! The woman Tina who was working on me was amazing definitely recommend!
I had an amazing experience. Affordable massage. Clean and quiet. You may have a wait after checking in.
Staff was rude. Staff seemed bothered that I had walked in for a foot massage. Person who gave me massage was rough and not very pleasant. Do not recommend this place !!!
I had a really great experience in there. The stuff are super nice and the massage is very relaxing. Would recommend to everyone!
I was injured here by a chair massage. I had to go to the ER. I do not recommend this place.
Felt like centuries of Chinese wisdom was being rubbed into my muscles. Was pretty blown away by the quality, price, and convenient hours of this establishment. Will make this a regular activity, very excited to discover this. Thank you so much.
I have been here a couple of times, pretty good massages, it is weird that you have your clothes on but for the price its a very good deal.
Brought my two daughters in for a little massage and they turned us away. The man at the desk told me they were young so I should be messaging them myself. So disappointing!
Ive been here 3-4 times now. I cannot believe how amazing the massages are for the price! Amazing amazing amazing is really all I can say
I love this place. Reasonably priced. If you need privacy, this place is not for you. Great acupressure. Great foot massages for circulation.
Friendly staff and like the name says, relaxing. Would have given 5 stars, came in with girlfriend but took us in at separate times causing us to wait for the other one to finish.
This place is magical and so affordable. Every masseuse Ive ever had has been fabulous, the facility is clean and relaxing, and the people are so nice.
No frills, but a deep, 40 minute chair massage for $30 after working at a computer all day is a wonderful treat.
Great place for a massage at a good price, but the hour long wait made me go to the spa at the Julian Hotel.
Great low price for a massage, they give you an option for how much you want from a massage 1-5..1 being the lowest amount of pressure..and even choosing a one, the massage was painful..maybe they should have a 0-5!
Waited for over an hour and no one said a word. Tried to ask questions but no one speaks English. The person working on my son was coughing and blowing his nose while working on him. So disappointed and will not be back.
Tina & jack are the best!!
MIND BLOWING! I dont know whats up with all the bad reviews. I left after my massage feeling reborn.
Clean and neat. Good massage for foots and body. Taking good care of disinfectant precautions. Well done!
Ive tried this place four times now - I want to like it BUT I just cant. After my last visit, I left with a VERY sore back and to my horror the next day my back was black and blue. I guess you get what you pay for! Will not be going back or recommending.
Better than nothing but the guy that works there frequently is terrible. It’s like he’s never received a massage himself
This isnt a posh, fancy spa. Its a place to get the kinks out. They always seems to find the place that needs the most work.
The water that found them soaking feet is not changed for every guest! This is very disgusting! Not recommended to come back!
Heavenly foot rub! The young man works so hard. I think they all need a massage! So wonderful!
I love this place ❤️
Awesome! I find all my massages here to be high quality and affordable!
Rude staff…awkward and unpleasant experience. Other negative reviews are on point. Go somewhere where they actually appreciate your business
Great place. Just walk right in, we’ve had relaxing experiences every time and would recommend it to anyone.
Very well maintained, and the technicians are tuned in to what your body is needing. Much needed respite!
Pretty poor experience for both massage and foot reflexology.
Great body and foot massage! Love it every time I go....
So in love with this place. affordable and they do a great job. i go at least twice a month
Always feel great afterwards! The prices are great too
Great massage but nobody spoke English here so was a bit difficult to communicate .....
Cant beat the value here. Swift and reliable to get you in and they’re very thorough and professional
Chill place if u want a foot massage. Not so proffesional service as in massage but clean place.
Such a great spot! affordable and easy to fit into your schedule! Thank you
Excellent all around. Very happy with my experience and feel so great now
Im a regular. I tip a lot to them because they put a lot of work in.
Theyre open again! Great massage!
Best inexpensive massage in Boulder!
Magic fingers!! Careful of the level of pressure you choose, though.
Full body massage at a good price.
Legit ✌️ Great work at reasonable prices
Great reflexology!!!!great price....relaxing atmosphere.
My favorite place!!
Great in a pinch or on a stressful day. Fast and easy.
Never a wait for me, and always very nice!
Amazing value. I would recommend to anyone.
Great massage for great value!
Very polite. Energetically powerful work.
I was in more pain when I left, than when I arrived.
Tom is the best!!!
Worth every penny!
The feet massage is where it is at.
Love this place!
Exceptional service!
Fast and fun
Affordable!
