Came for the Improv Festival, Fun and Dumb.Overall, its a nice venue space. The seating leaves a little bit to be desired, especially as things fill up. The bar is super cheap and easily accessible, so nice for such an event. And the parking nearby is so so easy, so overall a nice spot to hit up a comedy show.
This past Saturday night there was a great DJ and a lively crowd. From top to bottom, this place has great acoustics and atmosphere.
The vibe was relaxed, making it easy to just enjoy the show. Lots of different comics took the stage, offering a great mix of humor that kept the evening interesting.
Eris is the best! A fixture in the NYC DJ community. Everybody involved in the operation of this venue is a class act, from ownership down to the bar staff. Have never had a bad time here.
Super cool local venue. Kinda DIY, accessible for local events, spacious, reasonable drink prices, and decent sound system for the space. My friend put on an event and we had a great time.Only negative thing was we tried 3 different debit cards and none of them worked, so I had to use my emergency credit card. Went to the deli down the block right after we left and 2 of the cards that declined worked fine.
Its a cool place. I like the dark rave room in the basement. The room is wall to wall lounge chairs and sofas with space to dance in the middle. Being in a wheelchair, this unique design allows me to attend without feeling like I dont belong. The elevator for wheelchair access to the basement is around the building but the staff has always been helpful and available when I wanted to get to the back room. Some of the decor makes me feel like Im just casually hanging out at home which is really good for someone as socially anxious as I am.
This review is about the weekend nightlife that takes place at Eris... which for the most part becomes a nightclub and alt/new wave/goth music dance club on Friday and Saturday nights. Im from New Jersey Eris is located in Brooklyn. I heard about it from Facebook and since I like..actually love 80s alternative music New Wave, Punk, grunge, power pop some goth and industrial too thrown in. Usually I go to an alt rock club once a month called QXTs in Newark (which I love) and since older establishments in New York have closed, such as the Pyramid Club, I decided to take a gal pal (ex girlfriend who loves to dance ) and spend the time and hefty gas/tolls to give the place a shot...well...I was not disappointed! In fact I really liked the place including the patrons and employees I came into contact with were very nice. Like Qxts, they too had 3 separate dance rooms so that there is or should be something across the alternative music genres that you will find appealing to enjoy and/or dance to. The DJ from the Pyramid club that was there even took one of my request ...and immediately played it (thanks!) ..If they were playing something one room that I didnt feel like dancing too or like I just went into another room to find my groove. Admission was $12 which I thought was reasonable and the people at the front were friendly which makes for a great start... mixed drinks were slightly pricey at $11 each but were not weak so I didnt/wont complain too much LOL. Unfortunately only one bar on the main floor was pretty well-stocked other rooms downstairs had limited options or choices which they should expand on. I had such a good time got there at 10 and ended up leaving at almost 4 in the morning so 6 hours of continues alt rock/new wave dancing made us happy campers.... will we return to Eris? Hell yeah! ..only wish it was closer! Also they need to pump up the air conditioning a bit more...but came there to dance and sweet. If you like classic New Wave (New Order, Smiths, Pychedelic Furs, etc) goth (Bahaus, etc), classic cheesy 80s (Madonna, Prince, Simple Minds) or other alternative music I would say this is a club you should try....If Im there you can buy me drink to thank me..lol
Had a really good time here for summer camp mini festival! Theres so much space in the upstairs and downstairs, the vibes were great
The place looks nice but the points that adds get taken away by how overpriced this place is. Had my cider changed twice because it smelled crazy which makes me wonder how clean the place is. My friend was let in to buy a $40 ticket five minutes before the show ended and they did last call. We do understand he got there late. Not sure if sound engineer came with the specific event or if he’s with the place but the quality of the mix didn’t allow us to enjoy the music. Were sure great concerts happen here and perhaps just seemed overpriced for this occasion. Appreciate management for being on top of their reviews. Look forward to see how this place evolves!
Two floors of a lounge setting and a dance floor with a bar in the back downstairs. Moderately priced for drinks. Great DJs. Comedy on some nights. Great people and staff. Would recommend.
New venue still trying to figure out its identity. The main floor could be a theater for plays and other performing arts, but its weird having the DJ set up up on the stage. Downstairs is great, the lounge is super comfortable and the DJ area feels (literally) underground. Great sound system, friendly staff. Just needs to work out how to better utilize the upstairs.
DJ played really good electronic / pop mix
Did a little DJ set at Eris and it was wonderful. The sound is solid without being overbearing, The technical setup was modern and sleek, while the place keeps an authentic real club vibe. First time I was there I didnt realize they had three rooms, this place is cavernous with cozy spots in it. So much potential, NYC needs venues like this.
It was great! Went for the No Return Post Punk Society party held on Fridays. The staff was friendly, reasonable drink prices and the room was filled with nice and attractive new and familiar faces.
The bartenders were very kind and the prices were modest. The sound system was also very decent. However the post punk society party seemed under patronized. I wish the music were harder and there were more effort in expanding their audience.
Cool new dance venue in the Williamsburg area. You can tell they converted a previous retail space into the current state of a bar and dance floor that it is. Overall the decorations for the venue were pretty cool with things hanging from the ceiling and art on the walls. The DJ they had playing was awesome, but sound system could use an upgrade.I went with a couple of friends so had a great time and would recommend others to check it out.
Awesome venue, awesome owner. The venue has been renovated, with a completely new downstairs area that has a champagne lounge (with a cuddle puddle!), and a techno dungeon with a Function 1 sound system.
AMPLE space for your gathering! Meetings, town halls, big groups can easily fit in this high ceilinged venue. There is a stage, a bar, a popcorn machine (!) two bathrooms. Very pleasant employees. It was pretty dark when we were there - but that might have been a choice. Near trains.
Very cool place! There is a little art gallery once you walk in, and that leads to the large dance floor/bar area. Sick music (kind of electro/trance type music), cool light shows on the walls, and the bartenders go out of their way to help you. Just opened up, so you’ll see some remnants of past construction work, but it is not at all intrusive or uncomfortable.
I wanted to like Eris but so far it has not been good. The bar is really small and the other pieces of furniture look shabby. Also for the music event I went to, the sound system was very poor. Tickets for the event were really overpriced for how many people were there and how good the venue is. I might give it another try for a free event, but it was definitely not worth paying for a ticket.
Amazing venue ran by a really rad couple! This venue is going to be a huge asset to the neighborhood and community! They have a full bar, a huge stage for bands, djs and burlesque and its easy to get to. Cant wait to go back!
The space has potential, but it’s very dark and there’s no air conditioning. I found it extremely hot and uncomfortable given the amount of people in the room.
The owner was so unprofessional screaming infront of the dj, and the customers I believe her name is Paulina. She close the party without giving us a refund. Next time take problems more privately and dont let the customers see your anger issues
Love this place !! The art and the atmosphere is amazing and the staff is so nice. Also they have comedy during the week !! Very cool!!!
I live this venue. Especially on Wednesdays for open decks. Overall love the venue and it’s different rooms, the bar. The atmosphere and of course the sound 🚀💃🏻🎶
The downstairs area is the perfect balance between super chill and hyped dancing. Def going back for another gig
Great place , but the black bartender with dreads on the bottom floor is rude and always asks for tips. Avoid him at all cost.
I love Eris! NYC is currently dying and so are many other bars and clubs!! Cos they participates in this totality movement forced by the city and government! All they want is money and success, not freedom, love and art! Shame on you!! HOWEVER, Eris was different! It’s always opened to anyone as long as you are a human being who has beating heart and love for music&art! I’m looking forward to spinning here next time!! Thank you Eris, Jon affection, lovely bartender, and Brian!!! Love&Peace forever 🤟
Awesome space, great sound system, the best vibes 🌟
Sound could be better but hey, a great place for OpenDecks Brooklyn - a fantastic community effort.
Really cool spot with a great sound system. They host an awesome open decks party on Wednesday nights.
Great space. Love the lounge area and couches. Dope sound and good dance floor
A fun space! Nicely lit, need to come back for an event when it is not just finishing so I can get a better feel but the event space itself was nice!
The owners are awesome, the art is beautiful and everywhere and Ive been to so many great events here. Neighborhood staple
80s night are the best. Been going to the Pyramid since 1995, throughout all my phases, glad the spirit is still alive, just now in Brooklyn
Great spot to host an event ! From dance party to art or live music or mixers.
Great parties, the vibe is beyond compare, and the staff are all excellent at what they do
Good vibes, cool basement music area. Unique concept with multiple djs. Good hang!
Its a pretty cool place to hang with friends drinking and dancing. ☺
Fun little bar with a super fun downstairs hideout. Low key and friendly.
A fantastic independent place with a special atmosphere created by people who are passionate about what they do.
Omg. Theres this really cool event called No Return Post Punk Society on the lower level every Friday night. Check it out guys.
Trip sittin’ parties are so much dancing fun.
Eris is a vibrant club with an affinity for alternative subcultures. The staff are friendly and helpful. If you identify as alternative Eris is a must!
Very cool place.Especially when its Pyramid club parties! Looking forward to go back!
A nice rentable space but needs to be kept up better. Kind of dingy. Not sure whose responsible for the clean up before an event.
I had the opportunity to DJ an industrial set in the downstairs bunker at eris recently, and I was very impressed with the sound!
3 rooms
Terrible as bland as vanilla bean extract and vanilla ice ice baby
Great Neighborhood, excellent venue, loved this place. The experience was grade A.
Right out like a game cyberpunk, youd expect to pick up bounties there
No soundproofing on walls, neighbors hear music at 3am on a Wednesday night. Not cool
Amazing venue...great sound system. Cant wait to be back.

Great big space with a solid sound system. Plus, free popcorn!
Great vibe and staff! Good drinks and music!!!
Coming here is always a treat. Place is clean, staff is nice, and free popcorn!
If you liked the pyramid club - you’ll fit in here!

Might need some sound work, space has potential though.
