Massage Envy

This is my 3rd time at M.E. , and second experience in 2 years. Each time was gifted. I would never choose this chain. Didnt know you could ruin the experience of a message, but Im finally saying something.It doesnt feel like care about you there, and each time has been the same impersonal, corporate feel.If you dont mind spending 60% more for a sub par relaxation massage then ignore the rest of this.Youll pay $130 for 45min of actual hands on time. Its $180 for slightly over an hour.Not ideal if you are painfully stiff and NEED worked out!They will try to sell you packages and stuff at the end of it. Not aggressively, but to a point where they ENCOURAGE you to make healthy lifestyle choices.If you want a tailored to you, Therapeutic message AND pay $50-100 for a FULL HOUR, I recommend you go ANYWHERE else!!Oh yea, and the tiny shot glass of water they offered me at the end ( vs 8oz or a bottle given elsewhere) really just added too the poor experience.And lastly- no joke, my 10 yr old gives a better hand massage! It felt like she was petting me the whole time, even after I asked if she could use more pressure.Oh and if you do sign up, be aware, its a contract not a membership. You cant get out of it!

WAS a loyal customer who drove 45 minutes, for over 5 years. Went through the cancellation process due to finances, and it was awful. They charged my bank account $74.55 4 days after canceling my membership. They mentioned, AFTER the fact, that I have to cancel 10 days before my next schedule payment and said this was in the contract I signed 5 years ago. No courtesy mention of this ‘rule’ before I officially cancelled. They clearly only care about money and aren’t willing to waive this or credit my account. Highly disappointed in this location and their “Management”.

Alex is top notch. Hes an athlete so he is strong and can reach the depth it takes for me to feel relief. Hes professional yet personable. He listens to you and makes adjustments on the fly which is huge for over all effectiveness. Nothing worse than a robotic massage where it feels like youre being turned and burned. Not at all the case with Alex. You feel like what you were searching for after he is through. 90 min, you wont be sorry!

Massage Envey was a great place to go for sciatica relief. They listened to my issues and came up with a plan. There was plenty of time for a whole body deep tissue massage, even with the focus of the sciatica. Towards the end, I was so relaxed, I fell asleep.

This was an amazing experience and completely reset my overly contracted muscles. The wait was reasonable and my therapist, Carol, not only did an incredible job but also provided me education on stretching that will help in my recovery.My only recommendation is that they purchase a higher quality linen yo coat the table as it never felt luxurious and initially felt very itchy.

Staff are really nice people. My problem is I signed up for a membership a few months ago. My hours at work got cut back recently so its not in my best interests to keep the membership seeing it adds to creating a hardship. I called to cancel, and they informed me I signed a 1 year contract THAT THEY DIDNT TELL ME WHEN I JIONED. was told the only way to get out was if I moved more than 25 miles from a facility or a medical condition preventing me from getting a message. A loss of income is not their problem. Evidently, using an extra 1/4 of a gallon of fuel is the real hardship.To the owners. Nobody has contacted me, but you continue to pull money that i dont have out of my account. I will be seeking a lawyer. All i keep hearing is were sorry for your hardship, but unfortunately, theres nothing we can do. FIRST THING THEY CAN DO IS TELL PEOPLE. IT IS A CONTRACT, NOT A MEMBERSHIP . I had a membership at planet fitness . I canceled it . They didnt say oh its a contract.

This place is a joke. My friend booked us a couples massage in like November of last year for feburary 18th of this year thats a 4 months out appointment well we get a text the day before that someone called off so that we couldnt get our massages. I guess it is no big deal, so we rescheduled again for March 29th next Friday the day they canceled the first one. Well my friend got another text today, the 22nd of March, that one of the people giving the massages is out until may 17th. This is ridiculous. And not a good business. If youre planning on going here, dont even waste your time they will just reschedule you over and over.

Had a 90-minute appointment with Alex. OMG, he has magic fingers. It was one of the best massages I have had and will definitely book agian with him.

What can I say? This massage envy location is the best. Starting with the booking service when I called to the actual massage. The process was wonderful and seemless. The ladies at the front desk were friendly and attentive. No, wait, time for my appointment once my intake was completed. My massage was wonderful, Alex has miracle in his hands, seriously. The checkout process was fast and easy. I will definitely be going back.

I came in due to some shoulder and trap pain and my therapist was knowledgeable in what techniques would be best for me.

I had scheduled a 90 minute massage last week. I drove an hour to get to Massage Envy and somehow they deleted my appointment. It wasnt even 11:30 and the receptionist was stupid and kept giving me options for later in the day. Like driving one hour out of my way was appropriate.

I was a member for years. During Covid closure I continued to pay membership fee to support the business. After they reopened I had issues getting appointments so I opted to end my membership. I had accumulated a lot of massages from over the period they had been closed for Covid but when I called to schedule an appointment they told me I couldn’t use the massages I had paid for with membership charges because I only had a limited time after ending the membership to use the accumulated massages! I explained to them the situation and they didn’t care at all. Nice! Terrible customer service.

Carol was very thoughtful, knowledgeable and personable! She took every aspect of my concerns into account during my massage and then gave very specific directions and recommendations to help maximize the results of my massage and long-term care of my problem areas. Her insight on my problem areas has been so helpful and I’ve already booked again to keep up on getting back to feeling my best! We may have chatted a little more than I’d normally like during a massage, but the knowledge I gained was so beneficial that I wouldn’t look at this session as a normal relaxation massage because I was so overdue for treatment and having so much discomfort that our conversations were an absolute necessity. I very much look forward to working with her again and utilizing her tips in the meantime!!

Great experience. The person I was with was very knowledgeable about neck issues and provided much information. Very sweet individual. Very pleasant experience and would definitely book him again based on knowledge and expertise! Also, ever visit or schedule change with the Belden Village location has been incredibly easy. They are so pleasant to work with. Such a pleasure to enter into the lobby, they remember you by name, what you like, what your usual therapy is. These little things probably do not seem like much to the staff (they are just doing what comes natural to them ) but it really makes my day when I walk in, I feel like I’m part of the family. I joined last year in May and it has been a very pleasant experience. Highly recommend this location. Customer service here is A+!

My wife just had a massage and she came out worse than when she went. One leg and one arm did not even get massaged. I paid for the exfoliating hand treatment and they literally just rubbed her hands with lotion and that was it. The woman (Pamela) was loudly chomping on a mint the whole time. When she tried to use a gift card they gave her an attitude about not having a barcode. Well, we never got a barcode when I purchased it so I don’t know what to tell ya. The head massage was just a woman pulling her hair and called it “moving the scalp around”. The counter women were loudly talking about their “tinder” the entire time she waited. If I could give zero stars I would! And I’m sure I’ll get a smart response to this review considering the quality of customer service she just received. I recommend NO ONE go here!!!!!

Elyse was absolutely the sweetest. She was very informative and patient with my questions. My massage was with Bill and he did a terrific job. I highly recommend coming here for the warm welcome and great service.

The staff at the Belden Village location is wonderful. They are always accommodating, friendly and helpful with any schedule changes or questions about products. Jon is probably the only therapist I’ve been to who consistently helps my constant neck pains! I enjoy every experience there and really would recommend them for facials and massages to anyone!

Jessica is phenomenal!!! She recently welcomed her first child into this world so congratulations on the new baby! I missed her while she was on maternity leave so I’m super pumped she’s back now!!! Best masseuse I’ve had in the 6 years I’ve been getting regular massages! You’re missing out if you don’t book with her!

The services are good...ive been a member for years, but honestly anymore I cannot even get someone to answer the phone so I can make an appointment. This is a business... pretty ridiculous. Ive given up making an appointment countless times because I literally cannot make one.

This was my first full body massage, and I could not say anything but great words about Alex. He made sure that I was comfortable. He told me I could play my own music if I wanted to. He was absolutely amazing. He continuously asked how I was doing, and if it felt OK for me, I will definitely be going back and I will definitely be going back to him.

I’ve been a client at Massage Envy for several years. I’ve been able to see my therapist Jon regularly for the duration of my membership. His professionalism and expertise in therapy techniques makes him a very valuable asset to Massage Envy and his clients. The front desk team and management are very friendly and personable and always willing to help in scheduling and needed accommodations.

Have been going to Massage Envy for almost 7 years. It’s the place to go for massages and facials. Missing one star due to the recent raise in membership prices. Zach is exceptionally experienced and provides the best deep tissue massage I’ve had anywhere. Jamie is also highly experienced and takes your personal skin care seriously. You can tell she wants the best results and uses what is needed based on the look and feel of your skin. The front staff is friendly and professional. Thank you all!

Ive been seeing Rick at this location for a few months now, and he is fantastic! He is always attentive to my problem areas and consults with me prior to each session to see where he needs to focus on. He is so friendly and really knows his stuff! I always leave there feeling better

Jon does a great job! Always feel better after a treatment. He asks what is troubling you and often finds spots I didnt know needed work. The front desk staff is always helpful too.

Samantha H is absolutely the best. She is professional, caring, personable. I am an RN and she certainly knows what she is doing and does it so well each and every time I visit. She is a fabulous representative for Massage Envy.

At Massage Envy a 60 minute massage is actually only 50 minutes. So you lose nearly 20% of your massage time. I feel this should of been addressed when scheduling. Very dissatisfied. It was also very noisy in the hallway during the massage ( people laughing & talking), & no music in the room. I spent nearly the same amount of time signing documents and sitting through sales pitches to buy their products & sign up for additional services. I was asked what area I would like her to focus on & that was not addressed at all. Unfortunately I can’t recommend them to anyone & will not be returning to use the remaining balance on my gift card.

I got Sam and she did absolutely amazing! I couldnt have been more relaxed. The people there are great and super kind!

Shane is absolutely amazing! I always tend to doze off during our sessions which I’ve never done with anybody else and I’ve heard that’s a good thing! He has perfect pressure and I recommend him to everyone!

Went in to help relieve a pinched nerve in my neck/shoulder and left feeling so much better! Jessica did a great job spending time on my problem areas. It was my first time in and I had a great overall experience so I signed up for the membership after the very informative front desk girl explained all the benefits! Cant wait to go back next month 😁

My wife and I go once a month for a couples massage. Its always a friendly experience and as an avid lifter really helps relieve all the fatigue that I accumulate over a training block!Thanks Marie and Rosa for getting my wife and I some stress relief and a good start to our date night!

I received a text message reminder about my 90 min massage, and I replied “Yes” to confirm 2 days before. When I got to my appointment they told me my telephone number was saved to another account, so I did not have an apt today. That was after driving 30 min to get there. I usually book that far in advance, since it takes about 2-3 weeks to get a massage opening there. This was the second time they canceled on me. Last Monday they canceled my appointment about an hour before the time due to weather. I understand the weather might be bad, but it was bad all day. Why not cancel it earlier before I left my house?! When I tried to explain how frustrating this was after the second cancellation today, the manager refused to do anything about THEIR mistake. Very unprofessional and seemed to be too stupid to know how customer appreciation works.

I am canceling my subscription. Used to be able to call when I had a day off now, they can never seem to get me in without a weeks notice

This place is rip off. I’ve been a member for more than 2 yrs. And today was the last day of my massage. I decided to cancel it because it’s getting expensive… more expensive! I really thought I still have one hour accrued session back when I didn’t go. I was so disappointed why I have to pay $180 for the 90 mins. They said I already cancelled my membership so I have to pay the non-member amount which is 120?. They didn’t tell me that when i cancelled it back then. If only I’m aware of that I wouldn’t go there. I could have help my mom’s medication for this amount. Plus I didn’t go there just to waste my money or to relax. I go there to relieve the tension of my muscle from working hard! Now I have a lot of tension from being stressed because of this place. I even requested to cancel it back in 2020 but of course they will really convince you to stay. It’s too late I cannot get my money back.

I love having Ashley as my massage therapist. she listens to my aches and pains. And make sure that she always gets whats needed, done. Shell chit chat with you if you want or just let you lay there in silence. I have been going to her for couple years now.

Jonathan is always friendly from the very beginning. He also majically knows where all of my mess is throughout the deep tissue massage! I give him all day a 10 out of 5!! I appreciate all his hard work🤩

I’ve had a membership here for a little over a year. I have enjoyed every visit but today I was impressed even more. I had Aaron as my massage therapist and I will be booking with him from now. He displayed great professionalism while also communicating with me as necessary. I highly recommend as he is very receptive of any requests and great with feedback.

I love Massage Envy and swear by it. My massage therapist is great. He applies a great amount of pressure and adjusts as needed/wanted. The staff is extremely professional and make the entire experience wonderful.I have also got facials done and there is much care and consideration put into it as well. She thoroughly explains the process step by step.

I had booked an appointment I had to wait two weeks (that’s fine) I planned my day around the day they said they had available for a couples room...they called me the day of my appointment 4hours before and told me. The therapist was sick (again that’s that’s fine) they should have called someone in but instead told me my appointment would be moved to a different time the time didn’t fit our schedule so now we have to wait another two weeks and no discount was offered. Had I called and said I was sick 4hours before my card would have been charged...maybe they should reconsider there policy...fair is fair I can only imagine how many people have been screwed over...we will take our business else where! Rude service! One star is to much credit!

I was skeptical about going to a corporate facility. I’m a shop local kind of girl. But I need flexibility in hours and I just can not get that where I went previously. I am so glad I decided to give it a try. Rick was AMAZING. I had so much tension in my neck and shoulders. He could not have been better. The girl at the desk was amazing. Very thorough, kind and just an amazing representation of what an initial impression should be. Thank you for everything. I slept like a baby last night for the first time in months!

Cheyenne is the best, I wish I could get her everytime but she is highly sought-after. Always greets you with a smile, friendly, and any questions she answers honestly. Hands down best there in my opinion.

Sam is not only a gifted massage therapist but she also has one of the best personas for customer service. I’ve been a member of the Belden Massage Envy for over 4 years and I am very happy with all of their spa services.

I was given a facial as a gift back in June. I called to schedule it and was told it expired back in October due to the person who gave it to me closing their account with them. I then asked if the person gets their money back and her exact answer was no. How can a company feel it’s ok to take peoples money like that and then not honor the gift?! I will NEVER go to massage envy ever and will never recommend this place to anyone either.

Double check reservations before you hang up . In town for a funeral made appointments for two ppl for Thursday bc Friday was the showing and they booked. Me for the next day. I get that they had nothing for today but it seemed like they could care less.

My husband and I have gone to Massage Envy for a couple of years now and we always get a couples massage. Our therapists are great! Very professional. The folks at the front desk are also very kind. We get the same therapists every month and the one time we had a billing concern, they fixed it while we were there. I definitely recommend this place. Also, very clean!

Jon, is professional, knowledgeable, compassionate and thorough. His deep muscle massage helps me to function. I look forward to getting relief from the discomfort /pain from Fibromyalgia and arthritis. Thank you Jon for making my life easier.

The only thing go about this place is the relief that I had gotten from the massage. I was in so much pain from my migraine that I thought I was signing releases to get my massage I couldnt put any coherent words together because of how badly my head hurt. Here I guess I signed a contract for a year to where they could take $70 or $75 a month out of my account. When I called them to tell them that I did not want nor did I need this contract they told me that there was nothing they could do to cancel it because I signed it and therefore I was required to pay that money each month I had to cancel my debit card and reorder a card in order to stop them from taking money out of my account. It is bullcrap it is taking advantage and honestly I find it to be criminal. There should be no reason in this world why you cant cancel something like that and stop them from taking money out of your account. Pretty much everything else that you get with reoccurring charges youre able to cancel and they stop taking payments out of your account. Never again never again Will I ever go back there. Bunch of crooks

Do not go here unless you are looking for an hour relaxation massage that involves 40 minutes of very little massage in a freezing cold room. I felt good driving there and now I have terrible neck pain and a headache. I put on the questionnaire that they gave me that my neck was one area that I did not want massaged AND told my therapist that I had severe degenerative neck disease. He proceeded with pushing his ice cold hands (after I mentioned that I was very cold) into my neck for most of the time, ending with lightly massaging the bottom of my feet for a couple minutes. That was it. $75 + gas and time on a precious Saturday to receive anxiety and pain and no actual massage.

If you have a membership you might want to prepare to have to cancel the card you used to sign up to finally stop the charges which seem to never end no matter which location I speak to, how many times I fill out the paperwork, or even have my cancellation request confirmed. I signed up when I lived in Arizona and the Ohio office is now telling me that I have to go in to sign paperwork to cancel in AZ. When I call the AZ office they give me an email address and paperwork to file (which I’ve done twice now) only for the person on the end of the email given (Selena Shreve; Business Manager) to first tell me they received my cancellation request and they’re “sorry to see me go” to the next month where I’m charged again. This is the third charge since my original cancellation request. So I email the same email I was given for the same people to tell me that they are unable to process my cancellation request because I have to do it in Tempe. However Tempe is the one who gave me this email address since I cannot go to AZ to cancel in person. It’s a huge scam and they refused to give me any of my money back even though their business manager confirmed my cancellation request in November. I’m starting to feel cancelling my card is the only way to get this horror story of run-around and being charged in the mean time to finally end. It shouldn’t be hard to cancel a membership that the original 12mo has been fulfilled.

Was a frequent goer here years back at the one in montrose. First time trying here in canton In Over three years had the pleasure of getting Cheyanna for my 90min session all I can say is wow, my body was beat up and she knocked out alot of knots and kinks with pleasure 🙏🏿. Love when people take their profession serious 😊 only downfall is pricing has got steep but 🤷🏾‍♂️

I came in here with a stiff neck and back. Looking get things worked out I talked to the front desk and told them about my issues and where I wanted worked on. I had Aaron as my tech I went back there and told him what was going on. He told me he was not comfortable doing the massage because of my stiffness. I’m a 24 old male with no history of injuries you go get a massage to work out sore muscles. This place is unprofessional I recommend going somewhere else. I saw some negative reviews and I wish I would of listened to them.

I received horrible customer service from this institution. I was not given credit for services that is were paid for. Selena was very unprofessional and would not print documents that was requested from my account. I had a great experience with the masseuse Ashley but that is it.

Incredibly hard to transfer balance to a friend. Membership not worth it. What you are verbally told and what is in the fine print of the signed agreement is different.

Melissa is an amazing massage therapist. I recommend her whenever I get asked where I go. The front desk workers are always very sweet as well.

Ive worked with both Aaron and Ashley and they do a fantastic job from creating a positive and comfortable environment, open communication, and of course the massage itself!

I have been a very loyal customer of Sam whom is an excellent therapist. I have been using the same style surgical mask with adhesive which attaches it to my face. However today the owner decided my mask is not god enough. As an individual whom has been fully vaccinated, whom has been treating the community through this epidemic as a physician, to be mandated that my mask is not good enough but the useless non adherent cotton mask of the owner is much better????? I will no longer utilize this business ever again. This is pure ignorance. I respect the useless mask rules which states I need to wear a mask. Since when are surgical masks not good enough? I’ll take my business elsewhere.

Let me start by saying all of the good therapists have left... the ones that are still there are terrible. Rick moves so quickly and awkwardly it cant even be called a massage. Marcelas (probably not spelled quite like that) smelled strongly like stale cigarette smoke when I had him. Since Jessica and Bill left I have not had a decent massage there.There is always an issue with the billing. Just tonight, I was there for a massage. When I called to make the appointment I told them that I wanted to transfer a session to my husband. I gave them all of his info, making sure they knew he had been there before. They verified it was fine and all I would owe was gratuity and the 10 dollar transfer fee. I booked the couples room and was looking forward to a nice relaxing massage. We got there tonight and made sure that everything was correct and went in for our massages. They both were very subpar and when we got done and went to pay, they said that the session could not be transferred and we owed 85 dollars. When I asked why they just said the computer wont allow the trandfer....nothing we could do about it. The front desk person, a girl names Jo, said that all I could do was call tomorrow and talk to a manager and they might be able to refund it or give a free session but Im not holding my breath. With every issue I have ever had, they have been horrible about fixing the problem. They dont care that customers leave there unhappy or dissatisfied otherwise they would fix the problems. I would rather drive 2 hours from home and go to a different location where they at least care a little about customer service and making sure that people leave there happy.

This is a very nice environment and my massage felt good, but unfortunately I didnt get the attention I needed on the area Im having trouble with. My 60-minute massage was also just over 45 minutes. Thats very disappointing. The tech I had was very pleasant regardless. Im currently sitting in for pain in my back now than I was before the massage which was just a two hours ago.

Wonderful massages, and very calming atmosphere. I dont really like going over the membership option at the end. I only go once in a year because its expensive for me, so I already know I cant get a membership and its just uncomfortable to have to hear all the options after the massage.

Theresa asked me about my trouble areas. Listed to what i needed, took her time and asked if i was getting relief as she proceeded with my treatment. She was very perceptive of my tension area.

1st time getting a facial and it was AMAZING. Jamie was informative, polite, and helped me relax. I will definitely be back!!

The last two visits there has been no music available during my session not pleased with that as a member you would like to get the full experience of what’s expected at a spa. I am disappointed in that aspect.

I decided to give this place a try, despite the reviews I read on here. Unfortunately it wasnt the best experience. My massage was pretty good, although I paid for what I thought was 60 mins and its 5 mins of convo before, 50 min massage, and a 5 minute review. The lady behind the counter was very pushy to me, wanting me to buy a membership. She kept asking and asking why I didnt want one.. And then was short and not as friendly when I continued to say I was not interested. This is a very pushy, sales-oriented salon. Why would I pay $60+/month for a monthly 60 minute massage, when I could pay $60 at most other salons for the same thing (probably better), without having to make a commitment. You also cannot cancel your membership until you have proof you have moved farther than 25 minutes of a massage envy (they are everywhere too) or have a doctors note. What a joke! I would spend your money elsewhere and not even mess with this place.

60 and 90 minute massage sessions are affordable. Membership provides excellent discounts and options. Friendly, clean and relaxing environment. Very professional staff. Relieves a ton of tension and the feeling lasts through the next day.

First time at ME and I had a wonderful experience. Bill made everything very comfortable and personal, making sure to check-in with me throughout it all.

Super trashy. Called early to schedule a massage for an injury. Got an appointment at 4 pm, although they tried to schedule me for 2 pm and upsell with a monthly membership.Then they called to cancel for some reason with a lame excuse about scheduling difficulties. Refused to give me the open spot at 2 pm bc thats reserved to upsell memberships. Couldnt fix their screw up and were pretty rude about it. Treated me like I was stupid even though they called to cancel bc they cant figure out how to schedule.Super trashy, as you might expect from a chain called massage envy.

Very Rude Indeed! I read the review saying the staff was rude and ignored it based on my need to get a massage quickly. Apparently its too much to ask for any customer service. 20 Minutes for paper work cant be squeezed into less??? or wait, no, you just want to sell a membership!!!! Very penny wise pound foolish. Could have had me as a client. Now Ill be sure to warn others away.

I had a very nice massage but the area I have issues with wasnt targeted for as long as I was hoping. My 60-minute massage was actually only 47 minutes. Nice environment and freindly staff. Clean and over a very nice experience.

Cheyanne is always great. Very knowledgeable on anatomy and detects and treats muscle strain effectively. Approachable and very professional.

My wife went for a pre-natal Massage. If you offer the service, why would you not have the proper equipment! She had to lay on her side, she really was looking forward to laying on her front side, with a hole in the table. On top of this dissapointment, the massage was supposed to be an hour and lasted only 45 minutes. She was also scheduled for an exfoliating foot massage, but her feet were basically left untouched. Extraordinarily dissapointed, and my wife was upset because it was a waste of $80. We arrived 15 minutes early, as directed, and after she checked in, she had to wait while 3 men came in after her, and were taken back first. The masseuses asked the guys if they needed to use the restroom first, but my wife had to ask because her masseuse didnt think a pregnant women would need to use the restroom. Cheyanna is a pro. If you want relax all the therapists are great. Cheyanna does deep tissue and really works out the knots!

If you ever have a money problem even if you cant feed your kids they wont care at all. For complaining they cancelled. My contract and took away my credit for asking for a refund to feed my child. No compassion. I will be suing!

I went in for a massage and I came out feeling better and was given suggestions on what to do to help with my sore knee. Very glad I went! The stretches suggested to me solved my knee problem. Felt even better that it was not old age. :)

Scheduled appointment tried to cancel it because I went to a different massage location because it was a lot cheaper, and I was still charged $70 when I didn’t even go to them! NOT HAPPY!

Manager is very rude. Treat their therapist badly and these people are sorely underpaid for the degree. Its the Wal-Mart of massage. Places like this will only prosper if people continue to support them.

This company robbed me months ago. I gave up on getting a refund. 80 dollars was stolen from me. They are a terrible company, and should never be used.
