Serenity Massage AZ

I had high expectations after reading the reviews, yet I left feeling very annoyed, dissatisfied, and frustrated. I booked a 90 minute combination deep tissue and foot massage. What I received was a 60 minute rub down with A LOT OF OIL. Im not sure if she used her hands for more than a minute; all done with her forearm. At one point the masseuse had the sheet wrapped around me like a diaper and proceeded to spread my legs outward and upward. Much of the massage around my gluteal and pelvic regions border on inappropriate touch. I confronted her with disappointment regarding the type of massage and the time, but she didnt speak English. She literally just kept bowing and repeating, Im so sorry. Upon payment, the masseuse was huddled over me to see what I was going to tip. I had a choice of 30% or 40%. Custom tip it is. As a final thought, this was the first time that a facility has not required a general questionnaire to determine areas of concern and medical background.

Simply amazing. I booked 2 separate deep tissue massages, one for my husband and one for myself. When we arrived, they asked if we wanted to share a room or have separate rooms which I didnt know was an option. We opted to share a room which was a nice experience for us. I saw Cathy and my husband saw May. Both were amazing. They really know how to get deep pressure without it being painful. Towards the end of the massage, they use a hot towel to remove the massage oil so you dont leave covered in oil and dont risk staining your clothes. I wouldnt bother going anywhere else. This is the place to go. We will definitely be back. Thank you!

Excellent staff, all of these massage specialists are highly skilled and know what they’re doing. I get a 90 min massage every Monday for shoulder, neck , hip, and back pain. After shoulder and hip surgery a few years ago, this has been really helping me get through long work weeks much easier, I honestly won’t go anywhere else for massages after coming to this establishment. Absolutely the best massage ever. I had Emily and I’m definitely asking for her again. I’ve been in several bad car accidents occurring before 40,I’m 67 now.I’ve had injections and surgeries and it has only gotten worse through the years now with arthritis and disc issues. She was so determined to get 2 huge knots out of neck and shoulders.The massage oil and stones were warm and relaxing. I could go on for hours on how wonderful she was. The finishing touch was a hot,wet rough towel that cleaned off all the oil. My Massage was INCREDIBLE but get in there before they’re booked out for years!

My boyfriend and I had a massage a couple days ago here. I had high expectations seeing the reviews and left feeling very uncomfortable and violated. Honestly - the massage wasn’t terrible but I felt very uncomfortable the whole time as the massage therapist was actually on the bed while giving me a massage. I thought at the beginning I accidentally booked at a rub and tug because of this. Thank god it wasn’t. This isn’t a normal practice - at least in Canada anyways. It was just awkward. I also felt overall exposed during my treatment. She was constantly moving my underwear and seemed like she was pushing it waaaaaay too far out of the way. When the massage was almost complete, the therapist asked if she could do a “back walk”. I said yes - although I couldn’t understand what she was saying - oops. I realized what she meant once she was up on the table walking all over my legs and back. Are these massage therapists even RMT’s or legal? Upon payment the receptionist was huddled over me to see what I was going to tip. I felt pressured so tipped $15 US even though the massage was not very enjoyable. Once the receptionist saw what I tipped her mood immediately changed. She wouldn’t say anything to me even though I left saying “thank you have a great day”. She said nothing to that and we just walked out. It is definitely my fault for not saying anything during the massage although being a very passive person speaking up is super hard for me. I wasn’t even going to write this review although the receptionist reaction to my tip put me over the top. I shouldn’t have even tipped anything in my eyes. Take your money elsewhere and find someone that is actually certified.

I have gone to many massage places including massage envy, elements massage, multiple walk in places. I have never had a massage like this place! They all do a PHENOMENAL job. ESPECIALLY EMILY!!!! She went above & beyond and really helped me de-stress. She aligns your body and gets rid of knots perfectly! She starts off stretching, then she uses a variety of techniques with soothing massage lotion, and tops it off with hot stones. I used to tell people exactly what I wanted and they never seemed to listen. This place really listens to your needs. Serenity has helped me 3-4 times already by truly listening and actually following through with what works for me!! Thank you Emily & Serenity!

My husband and I went in for a couples massage and it was fantastic. Easy to make an appointment or they take walk-ins. Perfect pressure, the bed had a warming blanket or something and that was a very nice touch, she put a towel over my hair while massaging my back so my hair wasnt oily when leaving. The place itself was very nice with a calming energy. Everyone there was very nice and both the ladies that massaged us did a great job, we left feeling so much better. We will definitely be back.

I had a massage with Cathy today and it was my first time coming here. The massage was fantastic I only got a 60 minute massage but next time I will be definitely getting a 90 minute one because the experience was so good.

Peaceful, quiet space with excellent service. Masseuse allowed me to set the pressure and was mindful of my tension points, giving those spots extra care. Very pleased with my care and I look forward to returning! :)

This place is AMAZING!! My partner and I first came here a couple of months ago and absolutely loved it. Then we tried a few more places that were closer to us, but nothing compared! My boyfriend and I came in for a Swedish couples massage, based on the positive reviews. The therapists were nice & friendly, but it didnt feel as much like a relaxing Swedish couples massage, like I was expecting. It felt more like a Sports massage. The therapist also covered my head with a towel while I was face down, which I hadnt experienced before.I wasnt sure if that was to prevent me from looking over at my boyfriend or if that was a standard practice. Overall, okay experience. There was no wait and the ladies were pleasant.

Wow! Another great experience at Serenity. This time Winnie helped me with my sciatica and knew exactly what to do. She also worked on my back and shoulders and took the pain away. I cant believe the difference after a massage and how much better I feel. It was really a rejuvenating experience and I highly recommend it. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted immediately with a wonderful welcome. The staff was great and the facility was extremely clean (including their bathrooms).The lady who gave me the massage was AMAZING! I chose a swedish massage and to my delight, it was a mixture of relaxing strokes to firm pressure to stretching motions. I left feeling relief for the first time in months!And!! Easy booking online and able to get in same day.May and Winnie were both so strong and really worked our muscles and stretched out my bodies.This will now become our regular massage place! I have to say, this is one of the few massage spas that gives consistent services. Ive had at least 4 different massage therapists at this location and they have all been outstanding. I used to fight in Muay Thai, and getting a quality massage after what my body has been through has been difficult to say the least. I have been to Serenity three times now, and each time gets even better. I have settled on Cathy as my go-to therapist. Cathy has a way of giving a deep, but not painful, massage, yet it seems to flow so smoothly...it is hard to describe. But it is definitely worth an hour! The place is always spotless and obviously well-kept. I give Serenity (and Cathy) two thumbs-up.

I have been coming to Serenity now since the first month of opening. I have always been super happy with my experience. I have seen Anna and Emily and both are amazing. This is my favorite place for a great massage. I wont go anywhere else.

Sad to say possibly the worst massage I have ever had. I told them I needed a deep tissue massage and was told I would receive the hot stone treatment. Neither happened. I kept asking her to work on my neck and back I pointed out the knots. She just kept using her forearms lightly and never delt with my issues. One more thing, Ive never had anyone get so up in my business but I was so nervous that I wondered what kind of place is this.Not professional and not therapists.In response to yours, the tip was confusion between me and my friend. I only wanted to leave $10 not $20. I never said or implied anything about speaking english. Nothing I stated is incorrect.Maybe the proper response was to take this as a training and learning opportunity rather than lashing out.Taking responsibility is key in owning a business. I do wish you success but as you stated, I will take my business elsewhere.

Cathy did fantastic job! Because of my job I always have back pain and neck problems, Serenity Massage is the best in the town! Always release my pain from work. If I could, I will give 100 stars!

I just started to go to Serenity, I like the way they give the massage and also great that I could prod in a couple of times, but last week, at the end of my service the girl up front pretty much asked “because everyone else does” asked for a 20% tipI think they have no idea what a tip is; you earn a tip; and definitely they should not asked for a certain amount. For that I will not be coming back.
