This massage envy is truly customer service friendly! They are kind and courteous. They listen! Your a person not just a credit card. The therapists here are amazing. My mom and I went recently and she could not stop talking about how good her therapist was.
Careful they will only manage one area and charge you for a full massage.then ask you for more money if you want more because they ran out of time.
I made an appointment to get my eyebrows waxed. Well I was not able to make the appointment so I called and cancelled it. Low and behold I looked at my credit card statement and noticed a charge from Massage Envy for $44.00. Mind you I would never pay $44.00 to have my eyebrows waxed. So I called back and they said because you cancelled we had to charge your card. How did you get my card? I never gave my card to anyone when I made the appointment. Why was I not told about a fee if youre not able to make your appointment. ok so I am trying to tell them that none of this was told to me so I should get a refund. They stated its there policy ok if so why dont your employees let your customers know about this. Please do not do business with a company that dont let their customers know their policy.
I went here last week for targeted massage in my back. i was having constant pain and soreness in my shoulder blades. during the massage he did such a good job, i could physically feel the knots releasing and pain going away. its been a week since and it hasnt came back at all!! im pain free. will 100% be coming back in the future if needed. great place and friendly staff! thank you so much!
I received my first professional massage from here, and I will say that this was a great first experience. I regularly workout and lifet weights, so I came in with some tension in my upper and lower back, and I had hopes of getting some relief and to leave refreshed and relaxed. They booked me with Ms. Desiree and she took care of me. Everything was nice and organized, and as stated, I left relieved and relaxed. Even to the point of feeling the lasting impact of the session a day later. Very good work on the massage therapist as well as the business.
They dont have enough appointments at the harbison location. Especially evening appointments.
Ive only received two massages here. One was great, the other not that great. I love Montana (I think thats her name) as she does a firm trigger point technique. Ive called and been to the office multiple times because my online account wasnt linked to my membership and every time I spoke to one, they either said theyd fix it, they did fix it, theyll discuss w/ manager (but no follow-up),etc. I had to reach all the way up to the corporate office & they fixed it within 48 hrs which is something ME couldve easily resolved. Hence, my review is mainly based on the customer service.
Love this place. Nothing fancy, just good massages. I used to go to Terence all the time, but he no longer works there. Theres a fairly newer therapist I started going to (Sedric), hes amazing as well. Theres another guy who apparently everyone loves (Big Mike), but hes always booked up, so you have to get on his calendar as soon as it opens.
Racket. Don’t have enough staff so nothing is available til weeks later. New tech by that time cos ones you know have left. Posts hours as 9am-9 pm but salon is black at 6/7 pm. Catch 22. But still billed for monthly fee. Hard for working person if only appts available during day.
I DO NOT recommend this location. Front desk is unable to schedule appointments appropriately. Traveled over an hour to be turned around. When asked for corporate number to make a complaint, I was told they didnt have it. Really? You cant schedule appts, nor you dont know important numbers concerning your company. As a member, the manager hung the phone up on me when explaining the situation. This location has no regards to their members but takes my money monthly. Smh

My 18-yr old son had just completed Basic Combat and Advanced Individual Training and was home for the holidays. As a present, I booked a massage for him. My husband had purchased one for me prior to the pandemic, but I had not used it and decided times had been hard, so purchased a new massage for our son. Upon arriving, I asked if the card used to hold the appointment would be processed or if I needed to physically go through the process. One of the women said, yes it would be processed and asked, Do you want to put the tip on this card? I was caught off guard as Ive never been asked to tip someone prior to service being rendered, and not having had a massage before, didnt realize a tip was expected. I always tip in cash anyway, but said Id let my son handle it. I went and sat in the car to wait. A 60-minute massage is from the time you walk through the door until you walk out. I was going to go in and give him some cash, but he came out. When I mentioned the tip, he said the women told him, Your mom said youre supposed to pay the tip. He had no idea what to do, felt embarrassed, and processed a $25 tip. I went back in and asked if a tip was mandatory? A second woman stated no and went to get the first woman who was the one involved. She matter-of-factly stated a $25 tip was customary. I regret not using the certificate we had, and that what was supposed to be a good experience turned into an embarrassing one. They were told he was 18 and what hed just done; I think it was obvious I was caught off guard. Well, now Im educated; but I wont be back or recommend the Forest location. Too bad; my son liked the massage. Who asks for a tip beforehand anyway? Well ring you up at the end; and 20% would have been $12 not $25.
I had a 60 minute (firm) massage with Misty, and she was great! She is incredibly knowledgeable, and was able to fix a pain that I’d been living with for years! Highly recommend!
I really like this location. Everyone is super friendly and very accommodating. I have used Victor for my massages and I could not be happier. He is very professional and knowledgeable in his craft. I have a physical job and suffer from a lot of tension and I always leave massage envy feeling rejuvenated. If I could give 10 stars I would.

Be aware that a $65 massage is $115 on Mothers Day. It took three attempts and finally a phone call to register in their booking system, where I assumed that the discounted introductory rate ($65/hr when I asked at the Harbison location) wasnt programmed in correctly. Big mistake. The actual massage was fine, the surprise at checkout was not. I will not be returning and do not recommend this chain.
First of all, the massage and facial were GREAT! However, one of the attendants at the front desk was not. I gather she is new so I understand there is a learning curve. If she had doubt, she should have waited on a co-worker. We had miscommunication regarding a gift certificate and coupon card that was gifted to me and as we tried to clarify payment, she became more and more impatient. We were also frustrated because we couldnt understand her calculations and she couldnt understand that we only wanted a portion of the amount put on the card. She kept implying that what we were telling her was wrong and that she had to rephrase what she said to make us understand. But we were actually correct and I ended up paying for part of my massage and facial because of her error. It wasnt much so I didnt return but with some patience and follow through, she could have probably figured it out. Her co-worker who was next to her helped out at the end but I wondered why she didnt intervene sooner since she could see the attendant was struggling. Today my mom went for a facial and told me there was miscommunication again because of the same coupon card. Im wondering if the front desk staff needs further training? Its a frustrating experience after a pleasant massage and facial.
I went and got a facial from Barbara yesterday morning and it was AMAZING!! My skin is still glowing! She is very knowledgeable and thorough! She addressed all of my skin care needs, explained everything she did, and gave me tips on how to keep my skin in tip top shape! The front desk receptionist (I’m sorry I didn’t get her name) was amazing as well! I will definitely be back for my monthly facial with Barbara!
I recommend 7 people to get a massage here. I wanted to come also. But since I have been here. They want to charge me $115 but the other 7 people only have to pay $65. We all was coming at the same time. The other 7 still coming. But I refuse to pay $115. When Im sending 7 people. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND NO ONE ELSE TO GO HERE AGAIN!!! VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!
Poor customer service. Spoke with employee Shannon, very rude and unprofessional. Youll get what you pay for here. The reservation process is a nightmare. Dont waste your time requesting online, they dont even have half of the services available at any given time. If you want a more professional, relaxing experience I highly recommend Urban Nirvana, been going there for years. Youll pay more, but it is worth every dime. I, unfortunately, had a gift card for Massage Envy. It is now in the trash. Not worth my time.
I have visited several Message Envy locations in different states but none compares to the message I had with Mike in Columbia SC @ the Forest Drive location. He paid full attention to the area’s of my concerns. Mike touched muscles that I didn’t even know I had . This was the best message I have ever experienced. He is usually booked out for weeks and now I see why. His touch is soothing, relaxing, strong and healing. I’ve been having pain in my ankles for a while now and after my message with Mike the pain was gone. If I could give him more stars they would be endless! If you’re looking for relaxation or experiencing pain /soreness in your body go see Mike @ Message Envy on Forest Drive you won’t be disappointed!

I just have to rave on Sean. He was great if you like medium to firm pressure. Ive come across some decent therapists over my time however he is simply the best!!! Usually when I ask for medium to deep pressure it turns out mediocre at best. Not this time!!! Thanks to Sean for a session that was well worth it!!!
The massage therapists are amazing. The receptionists however lie and dont know how to treat customers. They just ruined all the good that the massage therapist spent an hour working on because they refuse to honor the free massage on my account that they told me twice was in my account including right before i walked back!!!
My massage was excellent. The pressure was great in the vibe was great. However, my massage was supposed to be a 60 minute massage from 7 to 8 and it started at 7:05 and ended at 7:54. Im a little disappointed since it felt so good and I paid for every minute.
Best Massage in Columbia, SC! After trying various spas in the city, gosh i came across this place. The first girl I went to was very good (Sports Massage), but the second was excellent (Deep Tissue Massage). I would highly recommend her Deep Tissue Therapy, best treatment ever!

I called to book a massage. They just gave me times, didn’t ask any questions. Told the therapist I wanted a firm massage. Asked for more pressure twice. Later I find out they put me with someone who is not capable of deep massages. If you’re going to pay money for a massage, go somewhere that pays attention to what you want and doesn’t just try to get a booking.
Two emails and five phone calls and I still haven’t received a response to my email or a returned call from the manager, who is apparently the only person who can cancel the monthly recurring charge to my card that I did not sign up to receive more than 12 months of services for. I have never experienced more unprofessional management in my life. To be totally ignored is mind boggling. I never write bad reviews, but I am beyond frustrated at this lack of concern. I am now overcharged for three months and unable to ever speak to the manager (who I’m always told is not there and doesn’t return phone calls).
I had my very first massage today by Chesnee at the Forest Dr location. It was a bday gift from my daughter. She was very thorough and had the softest warmest hands. She set the bar high! Thanks Chesnee! See you later.
I have had a membership for close to a year now. The staff is friendly and the membership plan is reasonable. If you have chronic pain neck or back, they really listen and make sure you get the best relief. Gabbi and Misty are top notched!!
The massages I have had were very good. But, as a whole, Im disappointed with their customer service. I pay for membership & repeatedly call over the course of a few days trying to make an appointment only to never get a call back or get a call back & hear the whining of the receptionist complaining about all the calls she has to return.If I ran my business like this, I would be out of business!
I havent had the opportunity 2 get a massage from this establishment as of yet. However, so far I can say trying 2 get an appointment with this particular establishment seems difficult. I went online made an appointment no one ever contacted me. I called during operation hours & no one answered. I have a membership tjat I signed up 4 in Fayetteville, NC. I havent used any of my benefits yet. However, the establishment in Fayetteville has called me numerous times 2 see if I wanted 2 come in 4 facial, massage etc. I guess I will have 2 try a different location here.
Atmosphere is welcoming, the staff is very pleasant and informative. Many services to choose from. Facials, massages, and stretches are just a few. There is also plenty of merchandise for purchase that would make great gifts, or to use for yourself!
Mike is the best!!I feel like I have a brand new neck. Lol. I feel so relaxed and renewed. The staff is always very friendly. There is such a relaxing and quiet vibe when you walk inside.
I’m new to the area an I’m expecting. Called because I had a few questions the receptionist ( Haley) was RUDE and AWFUL. I called an ask her how was her day an I had a few questions her response was UMMHUH I responded an said I’m sorry she say WHAT YOU NEED. When you first call a company the receptionist is the first person that represents that company an she did awful. I’ll continue to look around until I feel comfortable

Ive had two incorrect appointments booked in a 3 month span. The receptionist clearly do not listen. I will be taking my business elsewhere and friends will be cancelling memberships as well.
