At the end of my first microdermabrasion session (of a three-pack deal), they told me that I had to pay the difference at each session because they dont offer that package. Calls were made to management by staff, well honor just this one time but next time you come in, youll have to pay. I felt like I was being jipped on a service that I already paid for. As I known, if you bought a service, then honor what you offer to your customers. The technicians were good at what they were doing, but that experience put a bad taste in my mouth that I will not be returning.

If you read the reviews and then read the rebuttal by the business it is the flipid girl that works at the desk. We had a 12:30 and was told to get their 15 minutes early which we did so we sat there waited and 12:30 came and the young gal at the desk let out a big sigh with sheets in her hand to go make the bed apparently. My husband said lets go. What a horrible way to treat customers. We were traveling from out of state and I just happened to find this place. Shes simply texts and said where did you go did you go to lunch? We two have traveled all around the states and have never experienced anything so unprofessional. Im glad we walked out.

I went there for the last time. My massage was done by either the manager or the owner. Since they had no one at the front desk, she kept going in and out of the room to attend to customers. It was bad. Then she felt that I wasnt happy, so she gave me a $5 coupon for next time. No thank you. To answer the reply I got: it was months ago!

Hands down one of the best deep tissue massages I have ever received. Heidi was absolutely 💯. I was in so much pain and he really got all the knots out. Would recommend to all my family and friends. Will return. Bonus, super friendly staff.

I have visited this spa about half a dozen times and Im always happy with the results. This time Lily really worked out the knots in my shoulders and gave my calves a solid massage. My muscles are sore but relaxed and Im hopeful this treatment will reduce my pain significantly.Their rates are incredibly reasonable.

I was looking for a 60 minute couples massage and I located Zen. They were open on a holiday and the appointment was super easy to schedule. I did it online, but I called just to confirm they had me down since it was a holiday. The two ladies who do our massages were fantastic. I did not catch their names. I will definitely return and I may even do the foot massage as well.*edited: not sure if Ill return, but it wasnt terrible by any means

Had an amazing experience when I went with my mom to get a massage. Very reasonable prices, awesome customer service and friendly smiles all the time. We had a lot of knots that needed to be worked on and our masseurs were very patient and accommodated all our needs. We love this place and will be returning. I personally also love their facials, very relaxing and well priced.

My wife took her mother out for a birthday massage. The massage rating would be 4 stars. They did very well. However, they started to hastle mom about the tip essentially embarrassing her in front of everyone. My wife tipped very well for both her and mom, but apparently that wasnt good enough. Very disappointed because neither my wife or mother will ever return to this establishment again. Receptionist was very helpful and friendly, place was clean, and most employees had a great attitude. It took just one lousy worker to ruin the entire experience and birthday.

My husband and I came here for a couples massage with facial which was a relaxing experience. We both enjoyed it however, we didn’t appreciate the gentleman at the desk pressuring us to tip a certain amount. A tip is supposed to be complimentary and a desired amount. When my husband reinstated the amount he wished to tip, the receptionist continued to push for a larger amount. This was VERY UNCOMFORTABLE considering that both my husband and I agreed that our massage was ok but not great. They were also not ready for us though we made sure to arrive on time. This caused us to wait 15-20 mins to be escorted into our massage room.I have been to this place for a massage myself prior and the masseuse was outstanding- which resulting in me leaving a generous tip. This time I was let down …

Came with my mom, and we requested 45 mins for body and 15 mins for the feet. Best massage I ever had. Affordable, good and worth the price - $60 and and $10 tip if youre generous extra $5 for the tip wont hurt. For me and mom we both enjoyed it. Will definetly come back. Waste of an hour. Seriously. I saw the other reviews and was willing to play roulette. I lost. Woman ignored directions of where to focus and where to avoid. Was basically just quickly and lightly rubbing oil. Also didn’t drape appropriately. Avoid.

Im providing only one star because the customer service from the receptionist was horrible. I came in 15 min early with a friend for an appt. As soon as the receptionist (possibly wore glasses, had med-long hair, bleached blonde strands) saw me, she asked if we were paying with money. I had already spoken with her over the phone prior and she had been pushy about telling us to pay with money at the time, which we were fine with, if a little taken back by her directness.She then told us we were early and to go outside and come back when it was time for the massage. Being pushy and asking us to pay with money was the first issue, now were being told to leave and come back at the appt. time. It was 108 outside and we had already sat down to take a respite from the heat. Now she wanted us to get up and go back into the heat when we were already settled in?I let her know that she was being inconsiderate with her remarks. Her response was to double down with combative words and the rolling of her eyes. Wow, as a paying customer who expects to be treated with basic courtesy, I am very disappointed with the fact they hired someone as inept at customer service as her. She did not represent your business well and her actions and words showed that she could care less.The massages my friend and I recieved were wonderful. I would provide more stars for the masseuses because they were great, but we were put off by someone so rude without reason, that I am giving the minimum amount of stars solely based on a lack of customer service.

I am a massage therapist and, during my travels, have been to several dozen massage establishments and have seen even more massage therapists.I visited this location twice during my stay in the area. My first massage was good. Nothing to write home about, but still good.When I came back and asked for a longer service, I was assigned a different therapist. He performed one of the best services that I have ever received. His techniques and intensity were brutal, but this is what I enjoy and what works for me. He did consistently check in on me to make sure that I was okay. I might make a trip back to the area just to relive the experience.Everything in the building was clean and the entire place had a neutral smell. Some people might find the sliding barn doors dont provide enough privacy, and they sure dont block the sound from the hallway.

I took my brother and his girlfriend here for massages for their birthday and we were all shocked how great the massages were. I myself am very particular and my brother agreed it was one of the best massages we have had. It was very clean and cute as well.

Massage was ok. But as i was leaving they insisted on a tip. I dont like places where they push the subject of tipping. Total ended up being $100 for 1 hour 😒. Its a scam. They dont honor there price agreement.

Used a Groupon. I didn’t have any issues with it. I told them it was a Groupon when I booked and I brought my voucher, like Groupon tells you to. Massage was spectacular and I will absolutely go back. The place was so relaxing it was difficult to get in the car and go home.

Got a 60 minute deep tissue and 30 min foot massage. I like and needed intense pressure, and Lee was amazing. Staff was friendly and answered my questions. Only missing one star because the way the sliding doors are set up, you can hear everything in the other rooms/building and it can be a little distracting from the peaceful music and relaxing but very minor complaint. Will be back!

Very responsive in scheduling. There was a deal that I was not aware of on Groupon and the scheduler made sure I was aware so I could take advantage of it and ultimately pay less. The masseuse was very responsive to feedback and ensured I was never uncomfortable (you need to be okay with some discomfort if you get a deep tissue massage). Overall great experience and would recommend. I will probably visit on a recurring basis given how much my muscle pain improved.

This was a great spot for a real relaxing massage. My wife and daughter and I came for 1hr massage and we all had some items that needed to be worked on. We all left with a better back with zero pain, legs were refreshed and overall body. You have to come this spot you will not be disappointed.

I had a massage here today (March 19, 2022 at 5 PM). I asked for a 90 minute deep tissue massage. To begin, I had a masseur for the first 60 minutes and a masseuse for the last 30 minutes. He worked on me while I laid face down, and she worked on me while I laid face up.The first 60 minutes were, by far, the most absurdly brutal and intense massage Ive ever had - and some years ago, I went through 10 sessions of rolfing. Twice, I asked him to back off a little and not be so hard, and it made essentially no difference. Every time he hit a knot in my back (and there were many of them), he attacked with ferocity; and his work on my neck was beyond painful. Every application of pressure went from zero to 110% in an instant. He was all brute force and no finesse at all. Either he was unaware of the pain he inflicted, notwithstanding the many times I groaned, tensed up or jerked, or he just didnt care. At one point, during a brief break, he asked if I was okay. I replied that it was Very intense. His response was its only temporary. Given that he either cant read his clients or doesnt care how they feel, he probably ought to find a new profession. Seriously. Now, Ill admit that my back feels somewhat better from the work, but a massage shouldnt be a torture session.The final 30 minutes were totally different. While the woman sat at my head, she gave me a decent scalp massage and also did some decent work on my neck and upper shoulders. However, with regard to my arms and my legs, she did nothing but ineffectual, open hand stroking with minimal pressure. She made no effort at all to actually work on the muscles in my legs, which would have been nice. Other than for my upper shoulders and neck, she did nothing that even approached deep tissue massage.Overall, . . . nope, Ill never return here, and the masseur seriously needs to find a new profession. He was way over-the-top aggressive and went way beyond my tolerance for pain, even after I twice asked him to back off some.

My wife and I decided to splurge a little and try the 1 1/2 hour hot stone massage. It was so perfect in every way, I felt kinda guilty, as I didnt feel I deserved such royal pampering. We received very effective massages and I experienced a whole new comfort leval! We will definitely be back! Also very reasonable.

Best massage I have ever had. I have gone to spas at high-end resorts in Napa and Vegas and paid way more to get less. They are very perceptive and attentive, finding pain points, and thorough working them until they submit and subside.I went from being someone who thinks massages are an almost trivial luxury to wanting to make massage frequent and regular.

The massage was so good! I was very frustrated with Groupon company as they created such an unfortunate situation between the spa and the customers. However, they were extremely nice about it! They honored the same price I bought it for and was able to get my refunds back! I was supper happy!

So I had a couples massage scheduled here for a couple of weeks for valentines day. They called the night before to confirm our appointment, it was confirmed. We pull into the drive way and park. They call to reschedule because they dont have enough masseuses scheduled and apparently never did and was told I should not have been scheduled at this time. They offer nothing but a reschedule and didnt have enough decency to call more than 10 minutes before appointment time. Dont go here.Edit: When the original call took place nothing was offered for the inconvenience other than to be rescheduled for another day because we had other things to do today. The second call where this offer was apparently supposed to take place. The damage had been done. The call wasnt even made until after my review had been posted. Ill be happy to post a screen shot of my call logs to prove this.

You absolutely get what you pay for!This is a no frills, quantity over quality, day spa without the spa part. Im happy that I got rubbed for 90 minutes for only $79. ($99 with tips. Folks, you must pay well if you want bodywork.)It began with my add on service, foot reflexology, for 30 mins. Its nice to have your feet touched! That was a largely pleasant series of repetitive motions on my feet and lower legs, but that wasnt reflexology.It followed with a 60 minute deep tissue massage. The sound system was crackling in and out of the generic spa tunes, staff members definitely did not use inside voices, and that wasnt a deep tissue massage. But its nice to be rubbed for 60 minutes straight, I guess.Like I said, you get what you pay for, and Ill probably even return for a 30 or 60 minute massage when they have deals, but ONLY if theres a pretty deep deal and I really need a massage. Skip the add ons.If you have sensitive skin, or very high expectations of therapeutic technique, this is not for you.

OMG!! Where to begin. I decided to treat myself to a spa day/ massage while on my vacation. I did plenty of research on Spa places and it kept referring me to Zen Day Spa. This is hands down the best Massage I’ve ever had. I’ve never felt so more relaxed before and definitely after having my massage. If I didn’t live over 2500 miles away I’d be back once every week if not once a month… Definitely recommend Zen Day Spa. Hopefully I get to come back and have a Massage soon. Thank you

My 15 year old woke up with a stiff and painful neck. They were the only place that had same day availability. We did a 60 min massage focused on his neck and back. My son was able to look up, down and side to side when we left, he was only able to look to his left when we arrived. Thank you Eddi!!

I ordered a $79 combo for 1.5 hour which includes body and foot massage and I left $89 in total with tips. However, foot massage is definitely unprofessional, and the body massage just too painful not relaxing.Massage staff was friendly during the session, but customer service by the owner was terrible who did not even look at on you when you asked the detail for different massage types.The most regretting massage ever in my lifetime especially after spending $89.

Decent massage with a very reasonable price. You can communicate with the masseuse using either English or Mandarin. I prefer just one hour of full body massage, but there are also other add ons to pick. Be sure to make appointments before going.

Horrible. Worst massage Ive EVER had!! In so much pain the next day, could hardly breathe. He just kept doing the same thing after I said to stop. Full body massage didnt cover a few inches above knees to waist area!! Reflexology treatment wasnt! 3x 50 minutes each & he was done in less than 2 hours!! Plus, he left me sitting & laying @ least 3 different times for around 5 minutes each!😡 The hot stone massage was more like being exfoliated! So hard, too fast, stones too hot!! When I came out & explained what happened, the owner Ivy LAUGHED @ me...😡 Needless to say ~ unless youre into being caused pain, go somewhere else!!

Nice soft music, loud noisy people speaking Chinese while eating?! Masseuse spoke no English. Left me in roo. Without explaining how long I would be left alone with sugar scrub. I was told when offered the special price of $79, I would be provided a robe to use after finished to take shower. Wrong. A thin sheet with sugar all over it was all they had. The shower was a approximately 15 step up just to take a shower. Honestly, unless your e petition are low and you speak fluid Chinese, and you dont mind the dinner chatter in the next room... go someplace else. Dude at front actually asked for a tip after I explained all of this to him through his cell phone translation app! What arrogance! A waste of time and money. They should have been offering me a partial refund along with a apology...

I asked for a firm massage and focus on my upper right back. Got neither of those.Massage was relaxing for the most part but very mediocre. The masseuse left the room a few times to talk to someone.The reflexology just felt weird and didnt really provide any relaxation or benefit. It was like she was scratching the bottom of my foot with her nail or something? I dont see the appeal.I would have left 2 stars, but as I was leaving, the masseuse literally yelled at me Tip! Tip! ummm...no. The massage wasnt very good and its incredibly rude to yell at someone for a tip. If you want a tip, improve the massage experience.

Below average massage. Comparable to getting a massage from a friend - its nice, but when paying I expect a professional. This wasnt that. It started 10 min late and ended 8 min early. She was talking through the wall to her colleague often and left the room about 10 times. When I asked for increased pressure I was told later but that never seemed to come. Id describe it as moving the skin around and rubbing oil in type of massage. Muscles only somewhat involved.Also the massage table had my feet hanging off almost a foot (Im 61) and creaked when she worked.Cheap though no bargain for the quality.

This clean little massage shop (day spa) opened here in Davis recently. They offer very clean surroundings, and nice massages at affordable rates. The staff is very friendly. They accept short-notice appointments and walk-ins. This is an incredible value, and very conveniently located (where Spa Central used to be... a long time ago). I am so happy to have found them after having the misfortune of joining and being double-billed by membership massage place. Zen Day Spa is a welcome addition to Davis downtown.

I scheduled a massage this afternoon at 1pm only to find out that they can not accommodate me bec they are too busy . The woman at the counter did not call me as a courtesy to let me know the situation and told me to come back again in an hour as if all I have to do is wait for my massage! very disappointed with this establishment! The woman was rude and unapologetic at all . Definitely will not come back ....

Got a couples package that included a 1/2 hr body massage and 1/2 hr. Reflexology massage. The facility is older and basic. They did a good job making it a relaxing and enjoyable experience.
