Low key vibe, felt like it was 1990 between the prices and the atmosphere. Food was ON POINT! Best burgers we have ever eaten with a 1990 price tag. Jukebox with good tunes. Check it out!

If youre looking for a down home dive bar, this is it. The atmosphere is usually pretty calm and personable. Ive been going here since I was a kid to get burgers. Best burgers in Decatur! Bartenders always make you feel at home. I love this place and its a staple of the West end.

They accommodated our party of 20 people at noon right as they opened. The bartender was very professional and she worked to feed our party with delicious Winery burgers. I know she was slammed, but she maintained her composure and served everyone with a smile. This was the first Winery burger for my little ones and they loved it! This is why the Winery is a business we are treasure to have in Decatur.

Love me some Winery burgers! This a great, friendly neighborhood bar on Decaturs west end near Millikin University. I remember these burgers from my college days. They still make the most best smash burgers in town. I usually see either Joe or Cam when I am there for an evening burger. On this night, Cam was holding down the fort by himself...and made up an awesome double burgers with cheese ! Yum. Washed it down withbice cold beer... thanks Cam ! I will be back sooner than later..CHEERS!

Joe is the best!! I will never know how he remembers everything. Not just how you like your drink.But if your kid just had a birthday or to tell you happy mothers day or ask about your job. No words for how good the Winery burger is. Philly steak cant be beat either.

Dirty, falling apart, hot, NEVER answers phones, lazy bartenders, broken darts and one disgusting pool table. Needs to be shut down. Has black mold. Is not up to code.

Locally owned bar and grill with a very small town atmosphere. Joe and the staff always make you feel welcome. Jukebox is usually loaded and the game is always on. Everyone has their masks on, and food prep is done in front of you so you know exactly what goes into making your meal. Pretty cool place to be, especially on this end of town. I’ll absolutely be back.

Born and raised in decatur and going to the Winery since the early 90s and have had quite a few friends run the package liquor drive through over the years. They have continued to have great burgers and the best place to come and see people you havent seen in 20 years. if you stop in for the holidays visiting family everyone always goes to the Winedog when visiting town. Glad its still a tradition.

On Friday afternoon I took my handsome hunny out for a quick lunch date. We were in a great mood and feeling easy going. When we entered we saw people standing around but nobody really looked as if they worked there so we found a place to sit. We waited quite a while and a woman walked out of the back and asked very firmly what we wanted to drink, I asked if I could look at a menu than she very RUDELY told me she wasn’t asking what I wanted to eat and then told me again that she had only wanted my drink order. Its not what she said its how RUDELY she said it. I have been in the service industry my entire life, she could have said that a million different ways. We left and enjoyed a nice lunch with great service at University Dogs.

First time I had their double cheeseburgers, I knew I found my new hang out spot. Great old school decor, plenty of cold beers and always a ton of credits on the jukebox. Friendly and hospitable and more important, personable.

The place may SEEM a bit rough on the edges but hey, its a bar. Its got some of the best burgers in decatur Illinois, and its good to take the kids to in the noon/afternoon. This is also dependent on how youd want to raise your child, but its a nice enough place to take the teens!

The absolute best burger Ive had in Decatur!! Friendly service and nice atmosphere to enjoy your lunch or Dinner. Hard to believe the place wasnt full of people during lunch on a Friday. No worries....more for me lol. Seriously, all around great place!!

The Winery is a Decatur fixture for a good reason - the old jukebox and the amazing burgers are the highlights. Mixed drinks are good and theyre stocking more bottled beer varieties. Glad to see it. Bathroom facilities are not the best

I love sitting at the bar and talking to Joe Campbell. Always have great service. I enjoy hearing all of the classic tunes on the jukebox while eating one of the best burgers Decatur, IL has to offer.

Joe (owner) is great he always makes a great staff. small but not too small. Food is really good and pricing is great. My friends and I usually go here to play Poole and for more of a relaxing experience instead of the partying one.

Good, affordable food. Good place to go to hang, night out drinking or not. As I said the food is good AND cheap but there is no downside for it being inexpensive, its great. Got 2 burgers and 2 drinks for $9. Good selection for drinks as well.

Stop by the one rain to grab what was 1 of the best burgers in town. Not only did the service suck seriously. The Burger is not same as it used to be and had no salt no pepper nothing on it , it was so bland. :( for Decatur Illinois

This small bar is home to awesome staff and addictive food. You can find the perfect mesh of decatur culture, hipsters, college kids, and usually Homeless Sherry in the parking lot😂 You disnt get the decatur experience if you didnt have a winery burger and give sherry 2 dollars😂

This is by far the Best burger in the midwest. The place will make you think twice, but looks can be deceiving. Great service!

Got kicked out even though I had legal identification, was sober, and just sitting down listening to the band. The person who was cleaning off the table and IDed me was completely inebriated and checked no other IDs at the table but mine. I was older than everyone at the table but I was also the only black one. Never going back.

The college, home town bar. Has not changed in 50 years. Where I got my first legal drink. Burgers and beer. Tight place. Proud to be an alumni. A must when in Decatur
